Wasted money on a new alternator because I trusted AutoZone.I should've just bought a voltmeter, I get that, but we are told we can rely on AutoZone for free and accurate battery testing.When I bring in a battery and ask for it to be charged and tested, if I don't get a call I assume the battery was just low charge, right?I go pick up the battery, no one says anything about it being bad and they just give it to me, must've just needed a charge, right?I put the battery in the car, a day later it dies again. Well that means the alternator must not be charging the battery, right? Follow me so far?So I spend 600$ getting a new alternator put in.. and the car dies again the next day! So I bring the battery to a different auto parts store only to discover that it was in fact a bad battery.I will never spend money with this company again over this.

Noe is by far the most wonderful at his job and then some. He helped me with an instal something that everyone else in town said was uninstallable. I for sure will only come to see him for all my cars needs no matter what they are. Thanks Noe! You made my whole week! You deserve WAAAY more than 5 stars. More like 5 million Stars!

Excellent experience tonight when car battery went out. Joseph Chaisson went the extra mile to ensure my family and I were well taken care of. Not only extremely professional, but truly and obviously cared about us. He was outstanding; the best experience I've ever had in an automotive store. Someone needs to give the man a raise!

I first went to the Medora location off of MLK. They would not help me with my dying battery. Kept telling me it was the starter. Went to the Nelson location and someone kindly helped me return my battery and buy a better one. Thank you so much!!

I was on lake charles with my kids. I had a flat and stopped at this auto zone. The staff here were beyond friendly. Very sweet, helpful, and offered us a drink. They made sure we had everything we needed. They said they treat customers the way they would want to be treated!!!! 100% recommend doing business here!!!!!

Chris is an outstanding employee. He replaced my battery and one before mine, all the time with a pleasant attitude and a smile. I recommend this Auto Zone on Nelson Road over other auto parts stores. You will be pleased with their service.

This location is by far one of the best local auto-parts retailers in the Lake Charles area. Always professional parts personnel willing to go the extra mile to help when you need the guidance. I can't say enough about how professional and knowledgeable every staff member is at this location. Kudos to the management Team here, they run a tight ship!

I had the BEST customer service EVER at this location. Joseph was so helpful, patient, respectful, positive, and professional. I'm not a car savvy person and sometimes it can be frustrating not knowing what to purchase and what direction to go, Joseph made it a breeze. He even gave me some very inspirational words that I'll carry on with me for a lifetime! Great Black Men Exist and Joseph is definitely one them! I'd also like to add, it was the cleanest and brightest Autozone I've ever been to. AutoZone needs more Joseph's! Even though this location is the furthest from my house, I'll never go to another!

This was my first visit to a Auto Zone. I went in for a $15 headlight bulb and one of the managers Jason M up sold me to a $90.00 LED. He was very professional and explained to me the difference in a halogen and LED light bulb. He definitely changed my mind to the LED and they look great on my truck. I will definitely be back to that store for all my shopping needs. And I tell you everyone else that I encountered at that store was really nice.

Very helpful associate willingly opened the product package to be sure that I was getting what I needed. Only 4 stars cause her partner stated that it would work just fine. It wouldn't have. I needed a different one which she got for me. Store is clean and neat and staff is helpful.

Always very helpful! Usually have the part you need. They walked to the corner to put a new battery in my car when my car wouldn't start. Amazing customer service. Good rewards program, every 5�$20 you spend you get $20 back.

Joseph Chaisson, manager at store 7488 Nelson rd, is the best! I went in last night close to this closing time, my headlight went out & I am a delivery driver. He changed it for me & put a new air filter in my truck! 5 star service!

They're always pretty helpful and the prices are good. However, if you see the older lady with blonde hair and what appears to be a small prison style heart tattoo on her forearm, just wait for another employee to help you. She's rude and snippy.

Joseph was so helpful I went in with a messed up light not knowing what to look for he was so helpful .He explained everything to me and what he was doing even gave me some helpful recommendations which I appreciated it to the fullest !! I was traveling through Louisiana on a Sunday. My battery light came on which was concerning because I had a relatively new battery from AutoZone in my vehicle. I stopped at a different auto zone than the one I am Reviewing now and they were very helpful and explained thaty battery was under warranty but they didn't have in stock and sent me to this auto zone on Nelson Rd. I told the person what the other AutoZone said and she checked the battery and because it had 50% powere they won't replace it!! So they charged the battery and then tested the alternator and found it was the problem and sold me an alternator. The next day I got to the garage only to find the alternator they gave me was the wrong one!!!The mechanic called AutoZone and luckily I got someone that knew something because this person asked me questions the first one didn't and he was able to determine that there were 2 possible alternators and of course the one I had was the wrong one, however they were able to bring the parts right down and then the refund and core exchange went smoothly.The privious person didn't ask half the questions the one this morning died. Had she asked them I probably would have had the right part to begin with and been ony way that much quicker!!!!

Bought a new battery for my 1966 Bronco. It wouldn't start the next day. Took it to my mechanic. They ran test for $159. Turns out they sold me a bad battery. Lost my business.

He refused to help me switch out lamo bulb because of this! Wth? Noelle changed it out for me..please contact me for more details.

Amazing as always every time I go they r super helpful. My car needed a new battery and I asked for help n the guy said he could put it on for me. Not kidding my truck s battery goes out like 3 days later!!!! N the guy tht put the battery in my car wasn t there but another guy is there amazing again he puts it on for me.. Today I went again because after getting an oil change at walmart yesterday my car heats up today any way come to find out my car is missing the radiator cap I went to advance auto cause it was closest to me they were no help n lazy. I purchased the stuff but I still felt uneasy so I came here n even tho I didn t purchase the stuff here they helped me!!!! Thank you so much I really really appreciate y all!!!

Rude as hell. The caucasian lady that took my order was mean and her attitude was like she didnt want to be there. The man I asked for help with a headlight was rude too..no dam customer service nor customer focus..will not be going back to this location ever. If I could give it 0 stars I would..retrain these employees

Worst experience ever! Was pretty sure I needed a new battery. They couldn't get the tester to work so they just walked away! That should have been enuf of a clue to drive away while I still could, but no. Bought the battery which comes with install. The kid didn't know what the felt pads and grease were for... second clue. When he "finshed" the cable ends were destroyed (they came off in my hand), the brand new battery was damaged and again they just walked away! I got the 2nd guy to come out but his only goal was to get me out of his parking lot. After I finished fixing the damage and paying for the parts THEY destroyed I did finally leave... never to return

The employees and manager were very willing to help my son when he was stranded with my grandchildren in the car. They offered their assistance as much as they could do so as an employee.. I'm not sure if you find that anywhere else as far as auto parts place,..

should not have to fix my own problem whenever there is a one year warranty on the kit I will say that this store customer service is good they talk to you and give you respect they listen to your problems and try their best to do what they know how to do they'll work with you my issue is with AutoZone store on Prien Lake has very rude people working there the try to tell you things that make no sense after having to deal with them and them not even being able to fix the problem I proceeded to come to this store and get the valve gasket set did they have to see if it had the same pieces even though it said that they had the exact same set that I had it was not the exact same set the computer was put in like it was but in the store it was one number off of the code that I had when I found out the right piece I talked to the customer service of Flo Pro and they gave me a number I gave it to AutoZone in they had that in stock it was the correct size and fits I did not have a vehicle everybody in my family wasn't Texas for the holidays I requested for them to see if they can deliver it like they do too many different places the lady tells me she can't I believe she was the manager but she also tells me give me a second let me see and she checks and see if she has any way to bring it to me but she says that she only has one delivery truck at the moment in the other ones messed up so she gives me the opportunity either to come up there and get the piece I eventually just go to the Prien Lake store because they had two of them and it was the original store that I got the first set of valve cover gaskets I picked it up I just cannot understand why am I not receiving a check from AutoZone as an employee whenever I'm doing their job AutoZone has not contacted me back I have talked to the voicemail for customer service at least twice you would figure if they could email me in less than 8 hours on a post that the company would have contacted me by now I will try to contact the company one more time and they probably will not answer me I'm not able to get my kids to a store if they wanted to go if emergency happen I would have to wait for an ambulance instead of bringing them myself I'm not able to get groceries I was working on this vehicle night King and my neighbor's dog snuck up on me scared me when I was taking off the power steering reservoir I spelled the power steering fluid all over the place and broke the p v c valve on the valve cover AutoZone will not be able to give me the days that I would have got paid for work they will not give me help when I asked they cannot turn back time to give me a better Christmas. I post so other people do not get stuck in the position that I'm in because of the weather I am still not able to put my vehicle together this was around December 19th today is December 27th in the most common that I've gotten back are sorry was from the post that I left yesterday on Prien Lake store I'm not able to leave everything that I needed to say because Google post does not allow that many words on their post I've hit the limit of the post several times and I had to cut back just be careful wherever you go and buy your parts take your time and research because this Christmas was the worst Christmas I had since my wife passed away from breast cancer I am a single Widow with two kids and I've been without a vehicle for almost the whole December and I promise you all the employees that I dealt with went home to their family and went to work but I couldn't do none of that I guess they don't realize how deep their job reaches to the normal person because if they did they might do a little bit more research for the customer need. All what you read from here is a whole nother experience you're already apologizing for the problem y'all don't even know what it is this how you run a business you would believe they would try to help but there's a hundred boxes to go through it's too much work 4 AutoZone to do this is April 23rd 2000 over one small gasket I will try my hardest never to come back and this cust
