The true measure of the reliability of a business is not only how they respond when things go smoothly, but how they respond when they don't.I've always had excellent service from Tim, who takes the time to clearly explain things, make sure my questions are answered & services my car as promised.Recently, I needed them to go above & beyond to rectify a complicated battery issue.Stan himself took over & made sure everything was promptly handled, including very reasonably pricing replacement parts & service.I would highly recommend Stan's Automotive as a top quality auto center that can meet all your vehicle's needs. They have certainly lived up to their stellar reputation!

First rate business/experience! Fair and honest in helping me keep a 24-yr old vehicle on the road! Talked to owner; they are adding staff to reduce maintenance times. New ownership 1 month. Needed some mechanical repairs on F150. Work was done timely & proficiently. Front desk answered all questions & produced what promised. Also very courteous & professional. Will return for future service.

The place is called Stan's, but I kept talking to Kurt. seems like Stan was a hard working business owner, and Kurt is his spoiled little brat running daddy's business in the ground. I've seen it 1,000 times. SAD!!I am a 100% Disabled American Veteran. My car broke down 100 miles from my home. I was desperate and stressed out and unfortunately towed my car to Stan's. He told me it would take 3 days to fix. After 6 days without even an estimate, I towed my car to another shop. I found out my battery was dead after being in Stan's Auto parking lot with the hazard lights on for 6 days. He also left it sitting on the ball joint for 6 days instead of jacking it up, causing hundreds of dollars more damage! I could have never even imagined dealing with a mechanic shop as pathetic and unprofessional. When I called to let them know I was towing it somewhere else, the response was "That's fine" and hung up! It was actually more like a teenage brat saying "Whatever!"Stay away from Stan's! tell all the military and veterans you know how they treat 100% Disabled American Veterans!I just wanted to add that I read a review from a young college girl who seemed to be in a similar situation and they apparently gave her free rides and whatnot. The fact that they would treat a young college girl like that and treat a 100% Disabled American Veteran with disrespect and disdain adds an entirely new layer of creepy, scumbag behavior! Keep your daughters away from these creeps! GROSS!!

Kept vehicle 2 months with very little communication on a miss. Wanted to charge me $1600 and had not even fixed the miss. Ended up being ripped off for $800 at the end. Truck has an additional code now. Will.never bring another vehicle there.

Would Give Them Less Than One Star If Possible, My Car Was Put Into The Shop To Be Fixed To Sell. They Only Fixed One Part On The Car And Charged $900 For A $200 Fix And Left The Car Sitting In The Shop For God Knows How Long To Get That Labor Cost Up, When I Got To The Shop To Pickup The Car I Waited From The Time I Gave Them Payment At 2:00 pm And They Didnt Even Bring My Car From The Back Until 3:30, Not Even 30 Minutes After I Leave The Shop, It Breaks Down, I Call Them Immediately And There Response Was That They Told Me What Was Wrong With It And They Didn t Know What I Wanted Them To Do. Not Anywhere On There List Of Problems Did It State The Car Shutoff While Driving. Don t Bring Anything Here.

They performed work twice without authorization. They kept misfiling my paperwork, didn t call the warranty company, and the work seemed to be done hastily to get my vehicle back. I had to go back three times for the same code issue. The only reason I went back was to complete the original request then another issue came up and they again did the work without my permission. All four interactions were poor and I do not recommend.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

Rude, and not very mindful of wasting customers time. They had my rim for 3 days and would've kept it longer had I not demanded my rim and money back.

I trust Stan's to keep my 14 year old car not only running for now, but good for another 10 years. They have had opportunities to overcharge me or try to sell me something I didn't need, and they've been honest and open about what is going on. I really appreciate and trust them.

Awesome group of people at Stan's. They always take great care of my vehicles and have always been honest about what was wrong with my vehicle. I appreciate that the most. But their customer service is also worth raving about. I could go anywhere, but I will go to Stan's because, not only do they do great work, but they make me feel like a person, not a number. A+ across the board.

I'm a college student who lives away from home and knows nothing about cars. Back in July, I had to get my car battery terminals replaced. Everywhere else in town wanted to over charge me and make me wait at least 5 days. I called Stan's and they fit me into their schedule so I could have my car back that day and save an Uber ride. I also got my battery replaced with an 18 month warranty. Today, my battery died and I called them to make sure I could replace it. I told them I had work for a certain time. They said it wouldn't be delivered until the afternoon, which was when I worked. However, they took time out of their day to pick it up themselves to make sure I had it done before work. Stan's did some brake work a few months ago. I still had some steering/brake problems and Stan's stood by their work warranty and put my job at the front of the line. The repairs worked great and the steering and brakes are rock solid again. Thanks Stan's!!

Amazing work and super professional people. Whether it was my sister needing a new tire on her Civic or getting an custom spec alignment on my track car that sits low to the ground, they were fast, good, and well priced. Stan's is the best place out of many that I've been to in Lafayette!

I can't say enough good things about Stan and his shop. Stan, his son, and team went above and beyond to help us. This is the most honest auto repair shop I've ever experienced. I recommend if you have any issues with your vehicle to take it to Stan's. They do really good work and are willing to take that extra step to help.

This place is awesome! I brought my wife's 2010 Camry in for service and even though they were really busy they were able to get her car fixed and out the same day and they also picked her up from work to get the car at the end of the day. We won't go anywhere else from now on. They were very honest and great at explaining what was going on with her car. Thanks again guys!

Super friendly and helpful. Blew out a tire on the way to work and had my car towed there. Were super courteous and when i found out my wheel couldnt be fixed until the next day,the guy Tim working the counter even gave me a ride to WORK all the way across town. Dwf will return there if i have any more car issues. Good and trustworthy mechanics are hard to find!

I have used Stan s for years and they have always done a good job. However, the last several times I ve used them, they didn t even start looking at my car until I called and inquired as to the status. This is even though I called ahead of time to make arrangements, dropped it off the day before, asked if it would be ready the next day, then called again to check on the status. I m having to pick up my car (after arranging for a ride there, to borrow a car for the day, etc.) without my car being repaired. And the only reason why I I am able to pick up my car (unrepaired) before the weekend was because I called again before they closed. If this was the first time it happened, I would be a little irritated but I would let it slide. But this now seems to be a regular occurrence. And worse yet, it doesn t appear that anyone there really cares.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Brakes

I have been going to them for over 10 years and the are amazing. I will never take my car anywhere else. At Stan's your more than just a number they really know everyone's name that come in there. They hands down the best.

Great customer service, communicative, and works on solving problems and not patching them. Bonus points for working on Porsches. You'll wait a while, but that's due to demand.

Took my truck here for help with my ac that went out. of course they told me the whole system needed to be replaced for a whopping 1800. luckily i decided to take it to a different shop for a second opinion. second opinion assured me that stans didnt even look at the ac unit. total costs from the second shop was 600 bucks and now my ac blows cold again. if your looking for an honest mechanic to work with, this aint it. I rarely write reviews but i understand how hard it is to find an honest mechanic.

Three hours to change the oil and rotate my tires. Most expensive oil change and tire rotation I ve ever had. $90 total and $55 just for labor. I usually get this done elsewhere for $50 or less. I could understand charging $50 (MAYBE) for an oil change at an express lube shop. This took three hours. Many places do a complimentary rotation with the oil change. I just can t believe how expensive this was, and wouldn t recommend it.

Please how do you quote a person $800 to $1000 to change a 2009 vw Jetta radiator? I bought the radiator $109 including taxes at O reileys and u want to charge 10 times that for labor? At this rate how are these guys still in business? Flee from this place .

Really nice people but they had my car for 4 days (was supposed to be 1) and didnt even look at it until I called again and said I would just go pick it up without a diagnostic. I paid for The service and the info they gave me was not correct and came with a super high estimate. I don't think I would return.
