These guys are absolutely fantastic! They took care of two vehicle issues the week before Thanksgiving when all other shops were 'too busy'. They were professional, knowledgeable, and polite. An added bonus was the price of the services provided - well below all other quotes.They earned my business by creating trust, something that hasn't happened (to me) in a while.

Incredible customer service! They were quickly able to diagnose the issue and replace my battery within the same day. They were honest and affordable!! And they also dropped off my car at my work nearby to help me! Very kind and helpful staff, highly recommend!!

I highly recommend Dave s Car Care!! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable! They are the only mechanics that I truly trust. We send everyone we know there and no one has been disappointed yet.

Got some work done in my car, paid 700$, went without my car for a week because they took forever to change a small part, and a few days later car was having the same problems and when I call to talk to someone about it they seem to brush me off, I pretty much got screwed definitely wouldn t recommend.

Over the past few years I have had two vehicles brought in for new parts. Ball joints, a/c installations, U-joints. Parts are never installed correctly and every time I go to other shops the root cause is something that was installed by these people. Saw my transmission was leaking from a misinstalled u-joint which also ended up damaging my driveshaft and the a/c was wrapped poorly causing mildew to form in the vehicle. Expect consistent repairs after visiting this shop.

Thank you to Charlie and the staff. I know how busy you all are and when I have a problem, you do all you can do to find a resolution. I brought my car in twice and you guys spent time to diagnose it, when you said nothing is coming up, you never charged me a dime for looking at it. You also gave me a ride home. I am so happy I found you all. Great guys! THANK YOU!

If I could put negative stars, I would . I ve dealt with Dave s a few times in the past, and the service has been up to par. But recently, I brought my vehicle to them, and things didn t go the same. The first week of my truck sitting on their lot. I called 2 times, and was very patient. The first call. A man said he would check on it, then call me back. There was no call returned. 2nd time, a guy said idk, this is the first im hearing of it, and said he would get to it. So I let ANOTHER week go by. And finally when I call. The man said he would call for the part as soon as we hung up. Not cool. Then, not to mention, they said the part was 2x as expensive as the dealership cost. And when I asked them about this, they switched and said the money wasn t for just the part, but also the labor. Not cool again. And finally when I had enough of them, I told them to put my key inside my vehicle. and I would pick it up in the evening. I drove TWO HOURS. To come pick my vehicle up. And when I arrived there were no keys in the vehicle I m beyond done never againService: Steering & suspension repair

If you are a women they will try to take advantage of you beware I went here because I was having trouble with my jeep starting they took it in looked at it said I would need to replace the entire fuse box and that it was going to be 1800 the staff was very friendly and I trusted them but couldn t afford that at the time I left and went to another shop told them what was going on and come to find out it s was only the starter relay and spark plugs they tried to scam me luckily I went to a different shop and got the repairs that was needed but it was a eye opening experience as a young woman.

Brought my truck in and received a questionable diagnosis with quote of $1600 to repair. Opted out of repair at this time, then charged $100 for diagnosis. This diagnostic charge should have been discussed up front, not after the fact. Also asked if the diagnostic fee would go toward the repair when I returned to have it done and the response was a noncommittal, "we will try to work something out with you then."

WENT IN THEIR FOR MINOR REPAIR AND GOT TO ME WITHIN 20 MINUTES. VERY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT & EMPLOYEES & MANAGER!! AND THAT WAS ON A MONDAY MORNING!! HAVENT EXPERIENCED THAT IN ANOTHER MECHANIC SHOP!! IVE BEEN TO ROLANDS, FIRESTONE, & 2 GOODYEARS , TIRE CHOICE, IN PAST 10 MONTHS FOR BRAKES, TIRES, ALIGNMENT, CAUSE OF TRAVELING AND CAR 16 YEARS OLD. FIRST SHOP IVE BROUGHT MY CAR IN TO FOR 1 CERTAIN REPAIR AND THEY HAVENT TOLD ME OTHER THINGS GOING OUT ON IT!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! WENT TO ONE OFF AMBASSADOR.

If your looking for literally hands down the best mechanics shop around this is it. No hassle, nice people, perks of getting a ride home while waiting. Cannot say enough nice things about this business and how it is run. I will always choose this shop over any other due to how splendid the experience was each time I've come back for different things over the years.

Brought my car in the morning of and my car was finished by 3pm! They called me with a quote and than called me right away to let me know it was ready! So happy with the service.

I went in to have my tire checked for a possible leak. Cody and the shop guys were able to identify and fix the leak in less than an hour. These guys were very quick, efficient and courteous. I'll be going back in the future as needed.Service: TiresService: Tires

The staff was very courteous and friendly, so I hate to leave this. But I spent several weeks and thousands of dollars on repairs with them, only for my car to break down in a new, more expensive way, two days after picking it up. Above and Beyond! As a traveler, passing through Lafayette I was extremely impressed with the service I received at Dave's. My Ford Expedition's Air Con gave up and the team at Dave's Car Care Center replaced the broken AC compressor in 4 hours. They were very helpful going so far as to offer me a complimentary ride to my hotel, to wait while the SUV was fixed. Everyone at the shop was helpful and professional. Great service and reasonable prices. They are upfront and honest. I've used them several times. My last visit resulted in a death sentence for my car as the repairs would have cost more than it was worth, but they were very thorough in explaining the problems and never pressured me to make needless repairs. They will continue to be my "go to" for regular service and maintenance for my new car.

I brought my van here twice. The first time for a warranty repair from the dealer. After market parts was used and the part went out within 3 months. I brought it back and they fixed it no problem. The second time was for a different warranty related part and they fixed it as well. The reason I gave this repair shop 1 star is because i asked them to fix a leaking tire while it was there and they said they did. I thought they did as well because when I left my low tire light was off. The very next day it came back on again, and evidently the tire was not fixed. This is disappointing, something so simple but not done. I would have been more pleased if they just would have told me they didn t want to fix the tire and only wanted to fix the other issue.

Best auto shop in town, prices are fair and accurate, reasonable! All work is professional, correct and thorough! Charlie and staff are the best, most dependable, reliable folks in town. They go above and beyond to provide unbeatable service in Lafayette, my family's cars go nowhere else!

Fair price and very fast service. Knowledgeable staff. They called me when they ran into an issue before doing any extra work. I paid exactly what the quote was before starting the work. I recommend this location of Dave's Car Care Center.

Just WOW and GREAT! These folks are honest and super flexible and NON pushy! Our older mechanic retired and we have been hunting for the right place to go. We have ancient cars (1991, 1990 and 1997). Over the years we have had to deal with many mechanics to keep them all road worthy. These folks gave us a plan for our 1991 Toyota. The mechanic diagnosed various glaring issues that were cropping up. Could just feel that the energy about this place was spot on. Happy with the explanations of all fees and more than happy with the result. They don't give you any BS, all straight shooters and level headed. They understand the customer and the customer's point of view.

Honest and helpful. When my engine seized up I had it towed to Dave's. They identified the issue and advised me to call Kia to see if the issue fell under the engine recall. They were upfront about cost, options, but told me to call Kia first.Kia ended up replacing my engine but it was the suggestion that lead me there in the first place. I'll go to them for all future issues. Thanks guys!

I went there for an estimate for a heater core replacement and ended up with amazing service. Justin got me on the road again , he was very understanding as well as educating me on possible further damage that was wrong with my vehicle . I am definitely coming back to get my car serviced at Dave s Care Car on Ambassador Caffery!

New to the area, had our car light up with a check engine light. They were incredibly fast in repairs and even more welcoming with information as far information about the area. We will never go to another shop!
