I am so grateful to Dave's Car Care Center for looking at my vehicle and they were honest that it did not need repairs. I feel safe in my car and know there are honest trustworthy mechanics that are ethical. I will now be a loyal Dave's Customer when repairs are needed. Thank you!

I have to say I can t say enough about Dave s they were eager and determined to find the problem to my vehicle in no time! Once the problem was diagnosed and still not fixed after they tried they continued to figure it out updating me every step of the way! Due to the problem and me not being able to have it fixed they have let me keep it parked there until I can figure out what my next steps are! I highly and strongly recommend them!

The ONLY auto mechanic in Lafayette I've ever trusted with my car. These guys are worth every penny. They treat you right, they don't pressure or bully you into paying for work your car doesn't need, and they don't have hidden fees tucked away in bloated parts & labor costs. They've taken care of me, my family, my friends, and my coworkers for over ten years and I wouldn't consider taking my vehicle anywhere else.Dave's Car Care Center is the BEST in the business. You'd have to go farther than your car can take you to find a better auto mechanic if you needed one anywhere in Acadiana.

I went in with questions about my airbag suspension system... The guy that helped me gave me TONS of information, he took time to explain things, he took care of my needs, I left with my vehicle FIXED and a happy customer. Thank you

My a/c blower motor would not change speeds.They discussed with me what it might be---parts could be over $400, depending on diagnosis.What they found was just that the computer needed a reset.Awesome! No parts necessary!Very happy customer!

I must say the work they did to my vehicle was simply great, the mechanic really knows what he is doing. Took my car there two times to do some work with the cooling System and a clean and good job was done both times. However I did run into an incident on my last visit to them, the key fob for my vehicle is partly broken, it does not hold the emergency key. I did make the guy in the office aware of it and told him to maybe tape it up to prevent loosing it he agreed and I left . The next day I came to pick up my car, the guy handed me the key fob and I noticed the emergency key was missing so I asked about it, he went looking for it for 5 minutes came back and said he couldn t find it, so I explained to him I needed that emergency key to lock and unlock my car and he proceeded by saying that emergency key is not my responsibility , you handed me the key fob without the emergency key , you should had taped the key fob your self, it s not my responsibility to tape your key in a very unprofessional and very disrespectful manner. So we argue for a bit more, notice I kept my cool and did not disrespect him in any way. Eventually he agreed to look for the key a bit more, still could not find it. He eventually agreed to pay for a new one, but thanksfullyThe mechanic found the key on the office floor.Bottom line is don t be disrespectful to a customer that just paid you over 1000 dollars in repairs. I went there to get my car fixed, not to get disrespected or discriminated in any way. Thought about taking my car there to do more work on it but now they just lost a good customer. I ll give the mechanic 5 stars but 1 for the guy in the office.Services: Auto water leak repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C recharge, Auto maintenance

Came back today to get my husbands tires changed. Matthew was very helpful at the desk. Mr. Charlie on top of his game as usual! Come see these for any troubles with your vehicle! If they can t do it they will point you in the right direction!

On 9/23/22 I brought my SUV to Dave s because of a check engine light issue. The diagnostic check discovered the problem quickly. Technician repaired same day. My SUV is now performing perfectly! The cost was satisfactory! The staff were very professional & friendly. Thank you for making my first experience with Dave s Car Care Center positive & great!! I really appreciated the courtesy drop off to my office instead of having to find someone to pick me up from Dave s to get to work. I will use this business again when the need arise! Thanks again! I come from a family of mechanics and worked at a dealership for years myself and Dave s is definitely the best service shop I ve ever been to. They re so genuine and honest and it makes for loyal customers. I ve had nothing but an amazing experience every time. The staff is so friendly, they know me and my mother whenever we bring the car over. They re efficient, careful, and always keep you in the loop. They re also great to chat with. It is easy and fast to make an appointment and the cost is very affordable especially when you consider how excellent they are. Owner is always there working alongside his employees which is awesome for everyone. I ve worked at/been to shops where the owner is never present yet the owner rules the place with an iron fist so the owner never really knows his/her employees and what their concerns and goals are. This does not appear to be the case at Dave s. Highly recommend.

In Lafayette on business, I experienced a low engine oil light on my SUV that uses synthetic oil. They found the oil I needed, added it at no charge, and had me on my way in minutes. Not satisfied with these folks whatsoever. Came to this "trusted" auto shop to get a quote on a fix my car needed, and instantly was greeted with greasy shop hands unwilling to help me out. My concern for my car was urgent, and important in my eyes whereas the gentlemen behind the counter could care less in assisting me. Not to mention the quote I receieved was downright outrageous in terms of price for "quality" that is supposed to be good. Would not recommend coming here, find another place willing to dedicate the time of day to you.

They were gladly able to get our car in quickly. They are efficient and very helpful in getting it fixed. Would recommend them over any other shop in the area, hands down. Dave's yall have been a great life saver today.

I brought my car in with a broken AC and my power steering was leaking. They fixed both problems timely. Their customer service is great! I came here for about 2 years until I bought a new car. Every time that I went here for service, my repairs were done in a timely fashion & appreciate the occasional rides to and from my dormitory at UL. However, the final time that I bought my car in 2016 for a battery light issue---I ended up spending almost $1000 in repairs---for a battery issue and the problem still was not fixed. Mr. Charlie was always nice and the customer service is great.

Had a worst experience with my vehicle. Price gouging is very normal at this place and be aware of the work being done on your vehicle. I had to take my van to this place for 3 times and every time they prepared the invoice for same issue and finally when i confronted about what was being done they did not like it. Then i had it checked by another shop and sure enough the work was not done according to what Dave's auto claimed they did on my vehicle. I would be careful.

Good prices but most importantly the owner is very professional. I faced a small issue with them but owner took care of it in a very professional way. He gained much respect.They usually fix the car in the same day.Also, after dropping my car, a mechanic took me back to my place which was much appreciated.

So, my daughter is 150 miles away in Lafayette with car trouble. I was hesitant but told her to find a mechanic to diagnose the problem. Charlie (owner) explained to her the problem then took the time to speak with me on the phone about the issues. He explained what was urgent vs what could wait to get repaired. He itemized the cost and went well beyond what I expected. Most importantly, I trusted that he would take care of my daughters car. I can t tell you how thankful I am she picked this shop. Charlie and Dave s Car Care Center have my business as long as I have family in Lafayette.

Brought my car in a couple times over the years. Used to recommend them. Wasn't dissatisfied until the last time. Had my girlfriend drop off the car and was quoted "$1500 at least" for a timing belt change and $330 to change 6 spark plugs. Called 3 different shops, all quoted under a grand for the belt. Don't appreciate the attempted rip off, not a good way to keep customers.

I've was very happy with the work that they done on my car. They even were able to have it picked up to bring it to the place to be fixed. They kept me up to date on what needed to be done and price approximate. Great people.

Subaru dealer said I needed brakes all around for $1000. Took the CrossTrek to Dave's and they told me no way, I had plenty of space left on the pads. They diagnosed my bumping as a bad belt on a front tire. That kind of honesty will earn repeat customers. I brought back my Accord for an AC charge, which they did for the right price, no attempts at upsales or replacement parts. I have suggested people use Dave's before and I will keep recommending them.Service: Air conditioning

I had an issue with the pricing and diagnosis of fixing my nisssan 350z but when talked to the owner he was professional and solved it with the upmost respect! I recommend this place to anyone that has issues!! Very hard to find a place you can trust and not have to worry about them giving you a hard time!!! Glad to keep using them!!!Okay so after having issues with vehicle I went in to pick up my car where I thought they weren t going to do a job that was going to cost me around 1000 dollars, due to them not letting me know that it could cost this much!! The owner Charlie took it into his own hands ordered the part and replaced it by driving to Baton Rouge honestly yo pick it up! They didn t even charge me for parts or labor just because they never let me know how much it was going to cost! If this isn t the most honest place of business in Lafayette!!! Wow!!! God will bless people like the owners of this place!!!

Without a doubt a great place to service your vehicles. My old van had a broken bolt inside the engine bloc and these guys expertly removed it from a difficult location. 10/10 would return next time.

I came here while on a trip out of town because I was told by a Take 5 Oil change that I had a major oil leak. I simply wanted to know if my car would make it back to Baton Rouge without breaking down and the friendly mechanic checked out my car, spotted the oil leak and also spotted a leak in my power steering. The mechanic told me my car would survive driving back to Baton Rouge. The mechanic then topped me off on oil. This was all done under 10 minutes free of charge. Very friendly and helpful people and I made it back fine.
