We were in Lafayette for a day, staying at the hotel next door - the hotel wasn't able to get us a taxi or anything to the Greyhound bus station and you know how reliable the buses here are...the hotel promised us to get us a taxi, though, and we believed it. Got desperate in the morning and went to Brakes for Less for help. Alex really came through for us and got a really nice employee to give us a last minute ride, sightseeing included. Thanks to them we got on the Greyhound back to Nola on time. BIG THANKS!

After breaking a brake line while on vacation from Texas, we were lucky to find Alex next door to our hotel. He and his crew took great care of us and fixed our issue as well as taking care of much needed maintenance. He explained everything, showed me the issues and they even took the truck for a test drive afterwards. Most mechanics don t do this. I highly recommend this place.

I went there today to get my brakes checked. Alex and his crew was extremely professional and worked very efficient to get the job done. Explained everything that they were doing throughout and ensured that I was satisfied throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this place for your car needs. They were very passionate about what they do and their prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!!

I experienced exceptional customer service at Brakes For Less today. The holidays are very hectic and during lunch hours the traffic can be nuts. However, Alex was able to get me in and out. He resolved my tire issue and was extremely informative and kind. I truly appreciate his services and I look forward to bringing my car back to his shop for other maintenance needs and oil changes! Alex put my Challenger on the lift to understand my delimma.He was so busy and took time out for my problem.I needed a whole new radiator and pushed their lunch back for me. The work had a warranty and he triple checked his work because he knew I was headed back home to Galveston,Texas. He's also a mobile mechanic with his wife,great power couple there!!

Stopped in a couple weeks ago on a Saturday to get my brakes, rotors, struts and shocks replaced. Great service. The guy behind the counter was really nice and explained everything thing I needed done. He gave me a quote was way lower than any of the other place I got a quote from. Thank you for helping me and getting me in and out so fast. Questioned why I was charged a significantly high amount to change an air filter, pretty sure it s due to being a woman, and was told I don t know what to tell you, it s what mechanic shops do . Poor conflict resolution. Will not be returning.

Went in to change just the rear brake pads and they told me my total would be $1600. They told me I would have to change all break pads front and rear and all rotors front and rear on my vehicle. Told them that s not going to happen. Went pick up my vehicle and was charged for that inspection that was full of lies. All I needed was the rear brake pads changed nothing else. This place is a rip off. I only went there because my mechanic was closed on the weekend and they was open. I brought my vehicle to my mechanic on Monday and my total was $120. Stop trying to rip off people and do good business. I knew my vehicle didn t needed all that changed. It s only a few years old and we barely drive it. I never write reviews but this was outrageous. Also the guy that does the work was mad that I didn t go through with it. Like $1600 is nothing. Don t even thing about going to this place. First and last time. I don t recommend this place.

Alex did a really super job installing new air conditioner and tuneup. He really helped out my sister installing a muffler on her vehicle when she was in a bind and no one else could do it any sooner that a couple of weeks. Alex had it done in a day after ordering and getting the parts. Very pleased!

I used this location in the Lafayette area because when I spoke to Alex on the phone he answered my questions very professionally and unhurried. I went in on December 28th, 2022 and Alex did the work on my vehicle. Again, he is very professional and competent in person. He answered all of my questions, made sure I knew what was happening and kept me in the loop every step of the way.I will use Brakes For Less for future maintenance on my vehicle.Thanks Alex!!!!!!!! I ve been going to Brakes for Less for oil changes, etc. for the last few years. They are the most upfront repair shop I ve ever dealt with. I wouldn t recommend going anywhere else in Lafayette. DONT COME HERE. Alex, the short man with the gross beard, was rude and they were over charging for brake pads . They don t tell anything until after the fact. They make up random quotes. $700 for brakes !!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

These guys are Great! Very knowledgeable & honest. Took the time to show & explain the exact problem. My old mechanic used to do that and I am spoiled, they automatically did that, without me asking I was impressed. Would highly recommend. Well worth the drive from Carencro!

Nathan Thompson at Brakes for Less on Pinhook is the only person I trust to work on my vehicles. I have bringing them here for years. He is very trust worthy and never over charges. In a world were mechanics like to over charge women for things they don't need he doesn't. AWESOME service!!! FAST! Friendly! VERY affordable! I have a very unpredictable schedule at work and these guys we're willing to work WITH me to get my car serviced on MY time!!!!! (Rare imo to say the least!) Not to mention I wasn't pressured into spending money I don't have or that I'd HAVE TO purchase some unnecessary "extras" So without question I will definitely recommend to everyone and be back soon! I highly recommend Brakes for Less! Competitive pricing and awesome service! Had to get new rotors because my last ones weren t put on correctly elsewhere! Think it may be the cause of what tore it up! Did my rotors, brakes and got an oil changed! Also caught an egg in my tire! Nathan and Eric really took care of me!

This was a good place at one time...and I'm not sure what happened. My husband and I went today to get some work done on our car and as we were walking up to the building, an older man asked us what we were there for and we explained it all and he said: "ok, go inside and tell the manager and he will get it taken care of." So, we go inside and the "manager" is slumped down in his chair and it honestly looked like we were bothering him and like he didnt want to do his job. We let him know what we needed and he asked us to fill out a form while he goes check out the car. He comes back inside and tells us that we have something else wrong with the car other than what they told us just 2 months ago and then he answered his phone and was talking to what seemed like his wife or something and he was literally just sitting on the phone having a full blown conversation while we were just sitting there waiting. The lady that was working was standing there waiting for him to get off the phone and finally she said: "Tell her that you have customers!" Still, he talked on the phone. I waited like 2 minutes more and I asked the lady if we could have our keys back because we were leaving. I was not going to give my money for this kind of service. I'm not sure what happened to the old manager...but I wont ever be going back.

I'm so happy with the new owner and staff. I know my car is safe now for my children. Great prices! Very pleasent, intellectually intelligent, and thorough!!! This is the place to go for brakes, oil changes, tune ups and so much more!!!

Front caliper was sticking and Malcom diagnosed and changed front brakes in less than 45 min. As soon as I got home I had to call for another uber :) They really did an efficient job. Lifetime warranty on calipers and pads. Will recommend.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I bring my car in here with brand new tint to get new brake pads and rotors the paper specifically asked if my windows were applicable to be rolled down and i certainly circled no. i get back to my car and my window is literally all the way down. now my tint is chipped and peeling thanksService: BrakesService: Brakes
