The rental car facility is great, and it is very accessible with wheelchair access. My only gripe is why on God's green earth did NOLA decide to keep the facility so far from new airport. Airport is beautiful! But you need a 20 minute drive to rental car facility. Shaking my head.Service at the rental facility is always great, and it is a very nice facility. You just have to add 30 minutes to your schedule pre and post flight.

Pleasant & friendly service. However, I was given an upgrade from an intermediate vehicle to a midsize pickup truck that had a minor ant infestation. Went back to turn in & Robert, Enterprise lead customer service rep, found a nice new Subaru Outback for us. Great customer service.

I fly into New Orleans frequently and take a rental car to visit family the next state over. The rental facility's location has made these trips much more inconvenient. I'm up to 30 minutes later getting to my destination. On the outbound flight, it's 30 minutes earlier that I have to wake up in the early morning.I hate this and wish they would unfsck the rental car location, and put it on the same side of the airport as the terminal.

Operational nightmare. Pre-paid reservations mean nothing here. I was here on 10/13 and every company was out of cars. Yet they were still sending full buses of people just to wait in line and be told there was no car. I asked the bus driver if they were aware of the situation, and he said yes, but they were told to keep sending people and not inform anyone. This would be fine if it wasn't for a 20+ minute bus ride to and from the terminal!!!

Giving this 4/5 just because I think they should let the parking fees by the center free, you have several rental car companies occupying the facility i'm pretty sure they're getting charged a lot to be there, why ask for $2/hour from the customers? Overall, my first car rental at this place was amazing, we went with Thrifty, quick transactions (pre-booked through online) and was super informative. Nice and clean facility as well, the shuttle drop offs from the airport is nice.

Agree with all prior reviews, it needs 30 minutes more to drive from car drop off to the terminal. Ridiculous at best. This is not acceptable at all. Get a taxi better, cheaper and faster.

I always use Enterprise and never had to wait for cars except for this location. Landed an hour ago, and no cars in the lot! At least 10 other customers are waiting for cars to be cleaned. They should have cars equal, if not more than, to what people have prebooked already. Will plan for an alternate next time I'm here.

OMG. This has been the worst experience getting a rental car EVER! I stood in line for 40 minutes just to get to talk to a person. 3 people where sitting behind the counter playing on their phones while the rest of us waited to be helped. This is horrible!! If I could leave ZERO stats if I could.

Hertz closes at 11 pm but if you have rental scheduled you can pick one up after midnight

Minimum 20 minute bus ride that is jamb packed. They didn t think this through evidently. One of the worst rental car facilities in the states. I always cringe when I have to fly into NOLA.

I was greatly disappointed with my experience. I lost my physical license in the MSY airport, somewhere between luggage carousel and the Hertz counter. Hertz was not helpful in this sitiuation. Stating their policy that without a valid physical driver's license they could not rent me a car. They suggested I got back and retrace my steps and look for my license, which I did. This meant that I had to return to the terminal. While in the terminal, spoke with a number of people, all of whom tried to help. One, a police officer, suggested that I look to see if Florida had a virtual license, which if like LA, would be a valid license. To my surprise, FL had such a thing, and apparent with a few steps executed I had my valid virtual FL license.Went all the way back, to the Hertz counter, spoke with the agent, the manager, and the manager's boss over the phone. They stuck to the policy. Here is the kicker, on their own confirmation email, in print it states a "valid driver's license" is required. Add to that they then took me down to the the other rental companies to see if they would help me, and they all declined for the same reason, and some went so far as to say at that hour they would not have a car for a walk up like me.While I was calm during this counter walk, I felt like it was more for Hertz to say to me, "see with out a physical license they won't rent to you either"I asked for suggestions on how I could get to Baton Rouge. No ideas until I suggested a ride share like Uber. I arrived in NOLA at about 9PM, it was now almost 12AM. I did manager to get an UBER, did get to my hotel at about 1:15 AM.I am really disappointed with Hertz and their "policy" in this circumstance.

This place is always a cluster... says crowded bus ride. Get to the "Consolidated Rental Center" to find most of the rentals only going out of one line.A lady stepped backwards and I accidentally bummed her with my computer bag. Even after apology her "man" berated me calling me every racial slur he could come with.30 minutes into standing in a non-moving line, a person steps out and informs us that Dollar has no cars and it will be a minimum of 1.5 to maybe 2 hours before any cars are available. At least I was able to go online and get a car through Budget and was on the road within 30 minutes. This place is always wack... be prepared for a long wait.

Someone MUST see these reviews and see the issues related to the inefficiency of this rental car pick/up l, drop/off center. If you are reading this: be sure to allow for 30 minutes to an hour of your time if you have to return or pick up a car while traveling. The powers that be have made it beyond an inconvenience. If I could avoid renting a car from here I most definitely would. But it s an airport rental car center so we almost have no choice. I hope things get better.I won t even mention the customer service. Although everyone is pleasant, they have zero urgency. Safe travels.

My most recent visits were satisfactory. Overall, the building is clean, and there are signs directing you where to go as soon as you come in. Staff is pleasant, however personal interactions amongst coworkers should be put on hold while people are being checked out. I marked down due to my experiences with upstairs area where you can bypass lines. (1) There is no signage on the booths to notify you if the allocated person has stepped away or if there is nobody on duty. (2) There have no Call Button or other mechanism to inform someone that you are waiting to be assisted, so you must walk downstairs and wait in line to be assisted.

I travel a lot. This rental car center's location is one of the worst I've seen in the country. Whoever decided to put it here should be fired and never work in the industry. Perfect example of poor leadership and not thinking about the customer.Other than that the staff and drivers have been pleasant.

A true Emerald Aisle! Such an easy process here in The Big Easy! The only downside is the exit as there is usually only 1 exit both running - sometimes 2, so there may be a wait.

I mean, it s a car rental place. It s good at what it does. not sure what else to say.*edit* it is about a 12 minute shuttle ride to or from it; so when returning your car before a flight keep that in mind. But even when I returned my car at 4:45 in the morning the shuttles are always ready to go; so that s good.

This experience was horrendous. I flew in from Cincinnati roughly about a hour and a half. Only to wait over 2 hours very close to 3 for my reservation. I understand it is not the representatives fault as they only could do what they can. However these companies take advantage of us. If we are late dropping it off or early picking it up. They up charge. I went through Dollar/Thrifty and this was the 3rd and last time I will use them. I had issues with them when I went to Houston twice and now this incident.

One of the worst rental car centers in the country. In addition to taking 20 minutes between the terminal and the rental car center, the bus drivers wait and talk to each other for 15 minutes before leaving. So in total I d budget an extra 35-40 minutes when using this junk rental car center. Why aren t the buses running continuously for faster/better customer service? Because the decision makers here hate their customers. That is the only viable reason. GET BETTER MSY RENTAL CAR CENTER!!!

I love the Amos car rental staff they was very helpful letting me know different ways to rent there car's to where some of the other's would let a guest walk away unsatisfied that's bad for business. Amos car rental thanks for having such a beautiful staff that is will a concern about the guest because when I step into a place of business I became the guest of that business not a customer a Amos made me feel welcome.

This was the longest, stupidest, ugliest shuttle transport from terminal to rental car center I have experienced .5x worse than DFW and that has always been my least fave until now. 30-45min, curb to curb.

Incompetence to another level, even for the corrupt state of La. Lazy drivers. Slow service. This is why people hate flying to MSY. Driver doesn t even know his own name.

This is a very difficult rental car center to get into. Signage is poor. Their are parallel roads near the facility and unclear signage for staying right/left etc. Also the facility is 20 minutes ride from the terminal. Plan for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes from finishing the car drop off to arriving at terminal. It could be as long as 40 minutes depending on bus schedule.

Need better signs on how to get there returning your rental, more signs telling people to leave the keys in the vehicle, the rental car return is all of a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to the airport departing terminal, the shuttle drivers don t seem to have a mandate to get to the airport in a timely manner, 1 star at best

Hertz ran out of cars....we had a paid reservation and they told us we had to come back at 6am the next day to get a car. Not impressed....had to Uber to oir hotel.

Arrived here at nearly midnight after taking the shuttle from the airport. We had to wait about 10 minutes for an agent to show up but once she arrived, all went smoothly... until we got out to our rental car and noticed it had a flat tire! Went back inside and the agent upgraded us at no extra charge for the inconvenience. What a lovely surprise that was! Drop off (at 4am) was quick and easy. Pull into the rental car parking garage, leave the keys in the car and just walk away! Simple!

It's so far away from the terminal. It takes 20 minutes just to get there. If you start your stopwatch when deplaning until you're out with a rental, you lost at least one full hour of your day. This medium-small airport should not be as slow as it is.

Too far from the new airport. New facility should have been finished by now. Having to ride a bus for 30 minutes is unacceptable. MSY has dropped the ball. My guess is corruption; standard practice in New Orleans.

I went with enterprise, it was nice having them all in one spot and a bus to take you there! It was super fast too!
