My husband called and told them that my car was making weird noises. The man on the phone told him if I brought my car in on a Tuesday before 8am he would see me first. I got there at 7:50. I left at 8:40 because no one bothered to show up. It was a waste of not only my time and gas but of my day off. I ended up going to a different mechanic.

If I could give a zero I would give a zero!! This man messed up my sisters start up switch when it was absoultey fine before she got there She orginally went for a water leak!!! He handed my sistet a screw driver and td her to tighten it up after he or his mechanic obviousley broke it trying to start the car!!! Then SHE screws the piece on backs her car up and the entire key ingnition comes off!!! She then goes in and asks him to help her because the car was in the moddle of the road!!! He shuts hisdoor at the shop and leaves my sister stranded in the moddle of the road!!! What an a++++ I hope you never get any buisness you dont deserve to even have a job!!! You dont know what people are going through atleast fix your mess up!!!

Brought my car in to get a transmission replaced, picked up my car with a foot long crack in my windshield. Noticed within a minute of getting my car back. They told me it wasn t from them but I don t have a foot long crack let alone any cracks when I gave them my car. Would not recommend trusting them with your vehicle.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!! THEY ARE BACK YARD MACHANICS THAT DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!. Please listen. I spent $4389.94. To get a transmission replaced in a car that had no other issues! I mean none... I was originally told it would take 10 days to replace the transmission, which turned into 3 months!!! I've only had the car back a couple weeks and you can smell the transmission fluid burning! I bought the car to the dealer who said the car was leaking transmission fluid. He also noticed that NO oil was missing from the car and informed me to bring it back. I did just that, And VANCE told me nothing was wrong! Lies! I should have read previous reviews. They will tell you nothing wrong, when you know something is wrong..I'm driving the car and the car states that" transmission is hot, engine idle".. I bought the car back and this man is telling me the car is leaking oil, which is a lie. Now the dealer do not want to even look at the car, because Cottmans did work.. Now I'm out of $4389.94. Because they would never admit, they didn't do the job right. What VANCE said was "the transmission didn't fall-out "...wow..What he did admit to is that they cut my muffler in the process of changing the transmission, which he did pay for. But refused to take responsibility for a leaking transmission weeks after installation.. PLEASE BRING YOUR CAR TO THE DEALER! THESE PEOPLE WILL RIP YOU OFF! RUN!! I HAVE BEEN FUSSING WITH VINCE/VANCE FOR 3 MONTHS! With no resolution! This man do not care.. trust me...Service: Transmission

This Shop is First Class! Very professional, and the prices were extremely competitive. The owner was a very nice gentleman, I really know nothing about cars, he took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my transmission and explained it in a way I could understand. If you are looking for a no pressure atmosphere, where timely, professional, and Quality work matter, Look no further! These guys are top-notch!

These guys are crooks. My company paid them about $2200 to fix a transmission on a bucket truck. The transmission started slamming between gears on the highway about 10 min from the shop. We drove it back for them to look at and two days later, after we flew in to pick the truck on the day it was supposed to be fixed, they said it was fixed. Well we made it about 40 minutes away and the same thing happened. Now according to Cottmans we needed a whole new transmission for $4500 and wouldn t get any credit for their garbage troubleshooting. We went to a professional shop in Jacksonville who laughed right when we told them Cottmans had touched it. Truck runs fantastic now. I contacted the owner by email before posting this and 3 months later I ve yet to hear anything.

Girlfriend and her mother went here for a transmission issue on a Ford Focus. They charged thousands of dollars to "fix" the transmission. Had the car for weeks, got it back it had the exact same issues. Took it to someone else and they said the transmission block had never even been cracked. Bunch of thieves here

Worst automobile service ever, I was told on Monday to bring it in on Thursday at 8am that they will inspect it the same day, called late in the afternoon Vince told me they didn't have a chance to test drive it, so I was told they will check it Friday morning.....Well called back again on Friday afternoon and Vince said probably check it on Monday morning. so I picked it up Friday afternoon. After reading all this reviews I'm glad they didn't touch it. don't bring your vehicle here.Service: Transmission

My car was supposed to only be there "half a day" I dropped it off at 10 am and it's now 4:40 pm. No one called. They also said nothings wrong with my transmission even though I feel it slipping. Complete waste of time. Could have just left it in the driveway for all this.

i'm never coming here again. I can't say for anybody else, but my experience was not worthy of the (approximate) $3500 price tag. was told it would be ready in a few days, which turned into a week, which could now possibly be two weeks (I still don't have the car, it's not ready after 10 days), and when I voiced my displeasure about the delays and reprocussions(late getting to work, my job has been losing patience with me over it), the guy got upset with me in return, saying that he's the best, been doing it 20 years, and "you can be pissed off, but you still don't have your car"(that's a direct quote)... no communication with me about the delays, even though he said he'd keep me posted (I had to call each of the last three times to find out that there would be further delay). AND IT STILL ISN'T READY! maybe tomorrow, but doesn't know for sure... lol

I am the owner of a few classic cars. It is difficult to find a professional who is willing to take on the job of repairing them because they are car show winners and are very valuable. One problem I had was with my 1966 SS Nova. I thought I needed a major transmission repair that would cost a few thousand dollars, but the repairman was very honest and it turned out that all I needed was a linkage adjustment. Most repair shops would have taken the money and ran. I have a major rewiring job thats neededon another car and know exactly where to take it; to my new repair man at Cottman in Kenner.

This shop is the best! They are fair and honest, and listen to your questions instead of having a set idea. I highly recommend making the trip for any of your auto needs.

There was 2 attempts on putting the transmission in my car. The car's transmission went completely out while I was traveling and left me 1100 miles from my destination. It was never programmed!

Rebilt my transmission still was slipping I payed 4000 wouldn't recommend anyone to go their owner vince is a get over and plus their work sucked.Dont know how he get a license to rebuild transmissions

Worst transmission shop to go to paid 4500 to get my transmission renbuilt every since I drove it off I've been having the same problem don,t spend your hard earned money on no expert get overs I repeat

Seems like they couldn't give a straight answer as to what was wrong with the car but insisted it needed to be a rebuild for the transmission
