Great spot for an overnight while traveling along I-10. You definitely don't want to spend too much time here as there's nothing to do, but for a simple overnight - it's great. Level, concrete pads; easy access to electric and water. This place seemed clean and safe from what I experienced. We drove 10 minutes into Lake Charles and enjoyed great seafood dinner at Steamboat Bill's. This place was a little hard to find as you have to drive thru the McDonald's parking lot. We camped at Cypress Bend RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful Tiny Home, Fantastic Rates. Clean and the young girl in the office was very sweet, helpful and courteous. We were tired from driving for 10 hr from TX to FL and decided to stop for the night. I am very happy we gave this place a shot. We were driving a huge Penske truck and they very gladly accommodated a parking area for us.We will definitely stay here again. We HIGHLY Recommend.

Nice park convienient off I-10 also easy to get to small groceries and had several food options as well. Staff were friendly and the park was well maintained. Looked like they had a great laundry room as well however we did not use it

Great place to stay! Most RV parks around lake Charles are priced very high so price is comparable to that of other parks in the area. WiFi is better but not great. Cable works well. The grounds are kept clean from trash, dog feces, and other issues. The staff are friendly and quick to help with any problems or needs. Quiet site even though next to I10 and quiet hours are enforced. Lots of people with dogs in the park but hardly ever heard them bark. There isn't much for small kids to do here though. I highly recommend this park, just wish there was something for the kids.

Beautiful RV park. It is all fenced in with a security code to enter. They have all cement lots with plenty space between each site. We just stayed one night but the laundry room looked wonderful. That's very important when you are a full timer. We would definitely stay here again. By this way, the rv park is in Louisiana east of Lake Charles.

Rented one of the bungalows and I was impressed. I'm not looking for much in a bungalows, but they delivered. It was clean and had everything I needed to be comfortable and I really enjoyed my stay there. Make sure you go to NORTH Thomson though. It is behind the McDonald's. Try it if you're in town and need a place to crash.

Where we have Market Basket and Spring Market, A public library with free Wifi, Elementary thru High School. We are only 13 miles East of Lake Charles,La.

Critical Directions!!! Upon exit from 10 west it is the first right turn into the Shell/Macdonald drive. STAY TO THE RIGHT OF THE PUMPS. that is the road into the park! Very odd entry for this RV park. I think the park was there first and then Shell bought the property in front of them. Imminent domain for the road probably. We had a 40 motor home w/tow and we were ok. Receptionist should tell everyone how to enter when they call as it is very precarious and ther is NO sign directing you to the park. But Very clean and tidy smaller RV park w/tiny houses for rent also. Trees are mostly okay. Small and Some need trimming up. I would ask upon registration and before entering the gate. Most pull thrus. We got it okay but because it was before everyone got home and parked their vehicles. In the morning it was iffy because the neighbor across the street was hanging out. Thankfully he left. MacDonals directly in front of park. We walked the neighborhood for exercise down by high school to the fire department. Not too many sidewalks. Ate at a popular Mexican place. Some highway white noise and a few trains but not bad. Cable available but did not work. Old and rusty. But lots of antenna channels. WiFi wants you to set up an account to use their free basic WiFi. Didn t want another account to manage. Quiet park. Everyone stays to themselves. Felt very safe. Would come again. Ask for first row as it is easier to get out. We had site 35 and had no tree problems. Sites are concrete but like most old campgrounds they are hilled a little. Was still able to level without tires off the ground. Good place for an overnight.

I just came from New Orleans so this place is a world of difference. The staff is very nice and friendly. It is quiet (besides some traffic noise, but my fan tuned that right out and I'm a very light sleeper). The sites are nicely paved and have all the hookups. There are a lot of long term'ers there, but they have been so nice and helpful. I got in late the first night, so the office manager came and delivered the welcome packet to my unit. Wi-Fi works well (I work remote).

Give it 4 stars based on convenience to I10. Level site which made it easy for an overnight. When you see the Shell/McDonald's pull in and stay to the right. Quite a few permanent RVs and some in disrepair. Nice tiny homes on the property.

I live here after the previous year's Hurricanes Laura and Delta demolished my home in Lebleu Settlement. The transition was smooth and the staff were all very genial and professional. On ground live in maintenance man who is very knowledgeable and cooperative. On site rentals for bed and breakfast stayovers and overnight lots availability regular. Overall, I'm home myself. Gated community and monitored very well I even got in trouble letting my dog fetch outside the yard without a leash Very good management. I recommend you give this place a try

The place is decent small gated rv community. I love how it's close to other stores such as Dollar general, 6 fastfood restaurant less then a mile away. They also have a Market basket and a spring market down the road for some small grocery shopping. Very clean facilities in the front. Nice workers. PS you do Have to call them in regards to picking up packages Or making a payment or even needing quarters for washing. They do also run the gas station in the same property so they came and go to the store to the office. Which I don't mind. They get to you in less than minute. Been here for a little over 2 years and this has been my home away from home

We arrived at Cypress Bend RV Park after dark and had no trouble finding our spot. This is a great location to stop on a long haul trip. Such easy access on and off the highway with a few restaurants nearby. We visited just a short time after a major hurricane rolled through, and the park still looked great. Landline phone and internet service was not yet completely restored to the local area, so we can't comment on connectivity at the park.MacKenzie and Jade were extremely helpful when we had a small maintenance issue the morning of departure. Shannon at the adjacent Shell station had a hot pot of coffee brewed and a friendly attitude. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area!

Big rig easy to get in and around. Friendly staff. Very level concrete sites. Paved roads. All nice looking rigs. They keep 2-3 overnight pullthru sites open for travelers. We need to stay near Lake Charles for a month or two. All parks are full Or are terribly dirty and muddy. This is a very nice kept park .

Nice, clean park with paved roads and concrete pads. We like the fact that the entrance gate must be opened with a key card(provided at check-in) if you want to drive in. Staff is helpful and friendly, and manager is always ready to take care of any problems you may have. The only down side is that it can be pretty noisy at times, as it is right next to the interstate, and also right behind a busy gas station/McDonalds. But, it's not a big deal. We consider this park our "second home" lol.

Great front desk, easy off & on, so quiet! Level sites (the easiest to level on that we've come to in a while!) with long pull throughs, super clean grounds and many amenities that we didn't use. We highly recommend.

Difficult to locate as you have to enter through a gas station parking area. The directions written on the RV Park map were wrong causing me to drive in the wrong direction down a one way street. If I had driven on to my site the way the drew it on the map, all the hookups would have been on the wrong side. The park footprint is small so all sites are close together and driving around in a 40's Coach with a tow vehicle gets very tight. We only stayed one night but seemed expensive considering there are no real amenities (no pool). Place was relatively clean and the laundry room was clean and tidy. If it had been less $$ I would have given it 4 stars, but for the money it was just ok.

We've stayed here once before and the place was flawless, but this time it was awful! They put us next to a site that was just vacated from someone who had been there a looopng time but also left in a hurry. There was trash everywhere, drifts of dirt and dead leaves stuck to the concrete pad, AND they left the sewer pipe open so the aroma was inescapable. We got there around noon and I told the manager about it, but no one had lifted a finger. By 5pm no one was in the office so I emailed and suddenly a small crew of what looked like teenagers showed up and hauled away the trash in several pickup truck loads, but they didn't sweep up the dirt and leaves. In self-defense, we had to cap the sewer ourselves. It was a miserable stay!

Nice park but for the price $54.00 no Wifi and the showers could be improved with hooks, soap dish, exterior doors, and free water ($0.25 for 5 min) is crazy. No Swimming pool, come on now 54 dollars to park never again and they own the Shell Gas Station,, money money money money

Small, quiet park composed of mostly full time trailer dwellers and transient working folks. They continue to improve hookups and try to keep the grass nice. Gated park located very near IH10 and hidden behind a McDonalds. Ample laundry room as well as showers and restrooms. Staff has always been pleasant. All paved with several all cement, 80 foot pull thru spots that allow you to remain connected to towed if your just overnighting. Picnic table beside each pad.

Clean, sites wide and long. Pull throughs available and we had plenty of room to park 40 ft motorhome with F150 towed. Security gate. Staff friendly and accomodating. McDonalds right next door. On interstate but noise not a factor. Would definately stp again when traveling I-10.

While on our way to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX for my husband's two days of tests and doctor appts. we were stopped suddenly after a harrowing experience of a loud BLOWOUT on our Motorhome's inner dual tire, calling all over for a tire and service after we pulled off I-10, we happened upon the Cypress Bend RV Park just 1/2 mile from the Love's station we had pulled over to. It was directly across the overpass with a Shell station and a McDonald's next to it. I had looked on my WHERE cell phone app and it showed the park just a half mile away. We couldn't get a large tire as we needed that night even with GoodSam's help so we had to wait til the next day. We called the RV Park to stay that night. The man who answered was very pleasant. We arrived and realized we had actually stayed here before! We were glad it was there as this park is so nice and clean. It has added safety features such as the gate that only operates with a key. The next day, my husband went to ask about provisions for late check out as the tire people needed to find someone to come see about our tire and was treated very nicely by the lady who was there also allowing them to come in to our RV right there. When I returned our gate card and checked out, the lady there called the owner and the lady cheerfully refunded us the key money not charging us extra for the extra hours we had to stay. This park is so clean, has nice grassy areas, is near casinos in the area in Kinder and Lake Charles, etc. and has nice unbroken slabs each with a nice picnic table and a BBQ pit. We were thinking how it would have been nice to stay and grill something if we had come to enjoy ourselves instead of this emergency. We were so busy making a million calls so we can say we had wonderful phone reception there and also used the internet wifi which was so helpful finding tire companies, maps & RV and car emergency clubs. We had stayed before also coming in late and leaving very early while travelling to Texas. This time we had a little more time to look around and appreciate the RV park a little more. So, if you want very nice people who run a great RV park, don't drive any farther. Its also a great break on a trip to Houston or further.
