best transmission shop in the South, everyone was very knowledgeable with every question I had, they had it for about a week only because of parts were scares at the time, ita been almost 2 yrs now and Trans still like new.

I live in North Louisiana and was visiting a relative in Houma. I thought I had a transmission leak and took my vehicle to Expert Transmission in Houma. Originally, I was told that it would be next week before they could look at my vehicle. Jason understood my dire situation and looked at it the same day I left it there. As it turned out, I did not have a transmission problem. I had my oil changed recently and the oil drain plug was loose and dripping. Jason added oil and that was all I needed!I would recommend Expert Transmission to anyone. Jason was respectful and resolved my problem in a timely manner and most of all, he was honest! He was a true blessing to me and I m so grateful that I found their business!

I'm a repeat customer and highly recommend! The guys are very professional and the prices are very fair. These guys are good at what they do. There's a reason why their lifts are always full. Keep in mind, they don't just do transmissions. If you have any issues, call and ask to see if they can help.

Absolutely awesome job. They found the parts I needed cheaper than I could find them and had everything ready to go in no time. My clutch is so smooth and everything shifts so easy it's like I have a whole new truck. Very clean and organized shop too. Highly recommended.

Forget the negative post. As a recent stroke victim and as a mechanic myself, I was given good advice to take my problem here. I found it to be a very modern and update facility. the staff were all professionals. I had a small problem after a rebuild and it was promptly taken care of. My experience is that I would use this business again due to their excellent service, quality workmanship, prompt service, with a professional attitude at all times.This IS the place to have your transmission repaired to a factory fresh condition.

Professional, quick, very easy to work with. We live out of state, but our kids are using one of our vehicles. Expert Transmission staff made it very easy to complete transactions over the phone. They really worked with us to make sure everyone was happy.

Took my baby 2 get trannny redone. Great service from employee's there. One even turned around on his lunch break as pulled in to get my vehicle, to help me change my battery which had died. I offered him a few bucks & he declined & said he was doing his job. Will recommend this place to anyone with transmission problems. Treated me like they appreciated my business. Thanks Expert Transmission once again.

Great place to bring in your vehicle in, they find the problem and get it fix, they also tell you what was the problem and fix other problems with it, friendly and fast service for great pice. I will always take my vehicle there any time.

The FAKE bad review is from a butt hurt dishonest competitor!!! EXPERT TRANSMISSION is TOP NOTCH!!! A #1 in my book!!! My daughter needed a rebuilt transmission installed in her Honda. These folk respectfully explained exactly what they would do, how long it would take to get it all done, and how much it would cost. THEY WERE TRUE TO EVERYTHING THEY TOLD HER!!! They fixed my daughters broken heart and car!!! They even installed the external cooler we didn't know was with the replacement unit! AND they arranged the return shipping for the old unit!!!! Nicest shop around too I might add! EXPERT TRANSMISSION is GREAT, THESE FOLKS HAVE INTEGRITY!!!!!! Hard to find these days!!!!! God Bless them!!!!!!!!!! I hope I never need transmission work, but if I do???? I won't go ANY where else!!!!! THANK YOU!!!! E.T.

I am from East Texas I was attending meetings in Houma Louisiana just for the day. My transmission died that day. The owner of Expert Transmission immediately looked at it and put it up on the rack, pulled the pan then showed me the destruction...he then advised me as to the best route for me....not for him to make more money....because i lived in Texas and drive all over the US he advised i purchase a Jasper Transmission so i will have 3 year 100,000 mile warranty no matter where in the US i travel. He could have rebuilt my trans and made quite a bit more profit but he was thinking of me and not his pockets. I can not thank this business enough for their professionalism and heart.

Mr. Carl is always great. He is more than willing to help and troubleshoot. Very helpful and polite/respectful. Most mechanic places have an air of condescension to the customers, but not here. A few times I had him look at my truck as I tried to narrow down a problem and he wouldn't let me pay because he didn't do any work(turned out to be an engine issue that time). If someone gives you time and doesn't charge that's very generous in today's tough business climate. When I finally did have a real transmission problem(reverse went out) I knew exactly where to take it. It was diagnosed and completed by the next day. Don't pay attention to the comment about overcharging below. In general an average complaining customer like the one below would have been the first person to return looking for answers as to why it broke again. These are complicated machines. Replacing one part will cause others sometimes to fail. They have all worn evenly over time and one new one can slightly thrown off the alignment of the hundreds of moving parts inside something so complex. A chain reaction can occur and over the following months it will break again and again. In order to honor work and warranty if there are future failures you have to do a comprehensive repair and start fresh with everything. Try doing a little learning before coming on here and bashing one of the most honest people/places in town. Shame on you.
