I called Sunday and asked if I could come in the following morning for an oil change. The shop opens at 8am; however, the door was not open to the shop until shortly after 8:31am. I had been calling periodically to see when the shop would be open, and was given vague information like "the guy is on his way. 10 minutes." I ended up calling back several times to ensure someone was indeed coming.Once the man arrived to open the shop, he informed me the technician that was to do the oil changes would be there in 15-20 minutes after me waiting 30+ minutes after opening store hours. At no point was I told there would not be a technician on site when the doors were finally opened.There was no offer of a discount or any way to make it right. My first and last experience with this shop. Very disappointed.

I have been going to A-1 for quite a few years. I have never been disappointed. They are very punctual, reliable and reasonable. Thanks A-1!

A1 did a great job facilitating everything related my car. My transmission blew as I was traveling through New Orleans. Miss Julia arranged a tow truck for me. She also helped me find a hotel so I could stay overnight while they replaced my transmission. The mechanics did very good and detailed work making sure everything worked properly. They even replaced a broken brake caliper which I never knew about. Their prices were very reasonable for the work they did and I am happy with the genuinely and compassion of the owners who truly cared about my situation and getting my car safely back on the road. A-1 Rebuilt my 47re Dodge Ram transmission but, couldn't seem to figure out why it wouldn't shift out of first gear. Sometimes it shifts fine sometimes won't shift at all. Not satisfied with quality of workmanship at all!

My 2010 Ford Escape needed its rear main oil seal replaced. I was referred to A-1 Transmission Shop and I am very impressed by the way things were handled. Mrs. Julia took the time to explain to me about my vehicle. Everyone was very professional. I feel as though my concerns were heard. I was notifed of any other oil leaks with estimates on how much it would cost to fix that problem. I am completely satisfied with how much we paid and the amount of time it took to have me back in my vehicle. And f.y.i they do more than transmission work! Customer for life!

We all know it can be stressful when your car breaks down. A1 takes all that stress away by doing great quality repairs at amazing prices. The thing I love, is that the owner Mr. George always calls and keeps you updated throughout the entire repair process. I had a complex issue with my ignition. Another shop had my car for a full day and couldn't figure out anything. A1 was able to pinpoint the issue within an hour, perform a temp repair to get the car running again. They immediately called to update me with a diagnosis and pricing, then special ordered the parts. Today makes 1 month after the repair, my car is running better than ever, no further issues at all. We've also gotten my girlfriend's car serviced several times in the past and are extremely satisfied. The pricing is amazing, so much better than other shops in town. The owner Mr. George has a great personality. You can tell he really cares and takes pride in his work. Highly recommend!

Replaced clutch on my husband's truck. Did not have an appt. but Mr. George and Mrs. Julia got us back up and running quickly. Great customer service. Have reccomended before will reccomend again.

I found this place using Google about 4 years ago while trying to get quotes around the city of New Orleans. It is located behind the Best Buy on Manhattan and 4th st on the Westbank. THEY ARE AMAZING!! I have now used them to fix my car 4x!! They are completely honest and I've found no one in the city that can beat their prices. They do accept debit and credit cards also. You MUST try them out to see for y'alls self. Tell them Madelin sent y'all!! They are so quick when fixing your car and guarantee their work! Doesn't get better then that!

Ms Julie and her team Were wonderful they fixed my car fast I was able to get everything that I needed from them she kept me up to date about the progress of my car and what was going on she even worked with me while I was having a family issue I am forever grateful

Went to see about transmission work and without even having looked at it told me I needed a new transmission. Then told me he would call me about it and never did!!! Just wanted to sell me a transmission i guess, then again maybe not since he didn't return my call after I called him back about it

Mr.George and his team did a great job on rebuilding my Silverados transmission. They ve done more then they we re supposed to and I m very grateful.

A-1 Transmission I have a few hot rod trucks Motors great but the Transmissions are awesome I love what he does with them how far is Stowe from me all day

This is the worst place 5o fix you car don't go this place. I waste my time and my money they put one piece and broken 3 . If you go this place check before leaving. Check check check.
