Customer service was great! I called right before closing because of a tire issue I was having. I can't remember the lady's name, but she told me she was from New York. and told me to come right over, and thank goodness I did. My tire had split inside. The tech said I could have had a major blowout riding in the interstate! Thank God I toke the side and backstreets to get there! She was so helpful and so courteous. Hope Management sees this review and gives her a raise! Also, if you have any service done at Walmart, make sure you keep your receipts. The store had a new upgrade with their system, and everything I had done didn't show up but I had my receipts.

The employees are hard working and very helpful. The wait time for new tires was about 49 minuets.

Worst ran tire center I've ever seen at a Wal-Mart. Ordered 4 truck tired on 5May. Website shows they arrived on 10May to the Hammond Wal-Mart. I had an appointment on May16 to install them.I showed up on the 16th, parked IN FRONT OF THE SIGN SAYING TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE, went inside, and I was told they do NOT take appointments or honor appointments scheduled online. They ignored me asking, "What about the sign I am parked in front of saying you do?"Anyway, they couldn't find 1 of my ordered tires. Told me to come back the next day. I did, and they STILL didn't have the missing tire. I came back on 23May, and they had the tire but were not taking any more customers that day.I returned on 24May before 3pm, and I was told they were about to close EARLY. I STILL couldn't get my tires installed. That was my FOURTH attempt to get tires installed they had since the 10th.Screw them. I got my refunded and went to a different tire place. I had my new tires within 2 hours!

I had two tires replaced. I called around to three different shops and Walmart had the cheapest prices, but I was concerned about the bad reviews so I went to another place at first. They didn't have my tire in stock despite having just called them without any mention of that fact. Rather than wait a day, I chanced going to Walmart. The process is very simple. You arrive and park in the back by the auto service garage. Someone, in my case a nice girl named Carla, approaches and gets your information. You are then escorted to the waiting room which is attached to the store. You can shop while you wait, I did not. The gentleman working on my tires came into the waiting room to ask me if I preferred the white lettering facing outward so it matched the other two, which I thought was nice of him. I told them to save the spare for me and they did. The whole process took about a little over an hour. I got two all terrain tires, plus hazard warranties, plus a rotation for less than it was going to cost at the other place just to get their cheapest tires. I can't say for sure the job was done perfectly because I have only driven on them twice since, but everything seems good so far. I will personally be returning to Walmart next time, especially since they rotate my tires for free now (after first purchase) and I have a warranty which only cost $10 per tire.

I went in to get four new tires put on. Took over two hours, but the bad part is someone who was there before me was still waiting when I left, and they were there to get ONE tire. Checked my paperwork, and it said my tires were inflated to 33. My recommended psi is 30. I checked them when I got home only to find they we're all filled no less than 36. They were all different, and one was almost filled to 38. I had to remove one of my tires myself so I could fix the hubcap, which was not put on the right way and covered the valve stem. Unacceptable.

OMG, this WM is the worse, from cancelling grocery orders to TLE. We get a flat, it's raining, and everyone's annoyed, mainly because it's raining. There's 3 ppl sitting around on their phones, it's 4:42pm, WM TLE closes at 7pm and you're not taking any customers, I don't understand how you have 2 plus hours remaining on your shift and you would rather play on your cell phones, why not just close, you aren't doing anything but riding the clock. You can clearly see that we were on a flat; at the least offer us some air. I hate that this is now "My Walmart." I still have to drive to Covington for good service. If I could've given this store zero stars, I would've; PERIOD! We went next door and it was just the valve stem, the job took about 5 minutes to fix. WOW! So disappointing, and I'm a Walmart employee!

Worst experience ever. Will NEVER come back. Nobody cares about your car or doing a good job. Everyone inside has a bad attitude like you're bothering them for bringing your car there.I went for an oil change. That includes airing up my tires. I had a low tire light on when I got there, so I knew I needed air in my tires. I get in my car to leave and the low tire light is still on. I ask them to air it up and they say I need to drive my car around for the light to go off and that they already did. No i don't. I know my car. As soon as it reaches the right psi, the light turns off. They begrudgingly agree to check the air in my tires "again". The guy has to look at the sticker to see that my tires should be at 35 psi, then shuts the door. If he had actually looked, he would have seen that the front tires should be at 35 and the rear tires should be at 38. He didn't care.Low and behold when he actually aired them up correctly, the low tire light went off. He then proceeded to tell me that I probably have a bad sensor or a bent rim. HELLO!!!! If you had done your job correctly the first time, the light would have been off!One of the most infuriating experiences ever. They treated me like I didn't know my car or what I was talking about. Just because I'm a 23 year old woman doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.

Pulled up straight to the bay at 6 PM, no vehicle was being serviced at the time. Saw 3 guys sitting down buy a tire machine for 5 minutes. Went inside to ask someone for help, they said I have to ask someone outside. I asked the guy outside and he said another guy went to get a scanner so he can check me in. 15 minutes later the guy that said someone was getting a scanner came out and started checking me in. So, pulled up at 6, got checked in at 6:20. No tires were being put on or being serviced during that entire time. I go do my grocery shopping. It is now 7:10 and I m waiting for my truck to be finished still. This is absolutely unacceptable. How anyone puts up with this from the managers to the customers is beyond me. My oil change costs ~$30 and it s taking 3 guys over an hour to complete it. The managers and the employees need to be fired. Ridiculous. No matter how convenient it seems, DO NOT HAVE WALMART OF HAMMOND DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.

Bought tires online and had them shipped to the store. Service was fast, they were polite and did a good job mounting and balancing. 1 star off because nobody called to tell me that my tires were in, I had to check myself with shipping.

It used to be great place but now it is a serious disaster.Went for a oil change, gave estimated time of 30 min, has not even started after waiting for 1 hr 30 min. They had two employee who were doing nothing.Thet were the one supposed to do oil change. One of then was talking in phone non stop for 45 min as i was standing there and watching when will they start on my vehicle. When i went to counter and told them i was getting late, nobody even bothered to tell them to work instead of hanging on phone for 45 min and after 2 hrs, when i told them i had to leave they said a car was behind me so they could do nothing. It was a nightmare, could not get out. Finally i saw the owner of vehicle behind me and after he removed his truck and finally could get out of there.Never going back again. I did my oil change in oil change 5 min place that is nearby. It was a nightmare !!

Worst expirence ever. I pulled up at the tire place at 5 O clock and no one was there being waited on. I wait there for 15 min while watching mark, Robby, and Patricia walking and talking back and forth ignoring me. I politely rolled down my window and asked if they were open and they IGNORED ME this place should be burned down. If I could give negative stars I would.

I went in close to closing time. Needed 2 new tires. They were very nice and quickly put the tires on without "fussing " it. The price was good.

Absolutely ridiculous. Waited 2 hours first time and did not get oil changed due to lazy workers standing around doing nothing! Got free oil change approved by corporate and management, 2nd trip waited an hour to be told they didn't have the oil filter in stock! Left store without oil change again, walmart will not receive any business from me or my family ever again!

good place to get tires very reasonably and remember if you get a warranty there is a Walmart auto care almost in every state so when a rotation n balance is needed or whatever the case may be just pull up have your paperwork or have your telephone # and you'll be all set

Under staffed... I'm giving 3 stars because of the good work and personality of the few that are overworked there, bravo to them, not Walmart.. because of store management the wait is incredibly unreal.. needs better planning and scheduling!!
