DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They are crooks! They had our Ford F150 for 7wks (for a 22hr job). They gave us the run around for 7 weeks. After we got the truck back, not even 60 miles later, the motor locked up. The motor is completely trashed thanks to this shop. They took zero responsibility even though this truck only has 60,000 miles on it and we never had any motor issues until after they touched it! Terrible service, terrible people!

Went in because my car was running very hot. was told about a $150 diagnostic fee. was told i either had a blown head gasket or needed a new engine and was the quoted $8000 but told it would have to be done somewhere else. I towed it three cities away to an engine repair shop expecting to need a new engine but was told i just needed a new water pump($400). went to store to ask about getting my diagnostic fee back as they were extremely wrong in their findings as the car now runs fine. was told a manger would call me and was never contacted. went to the store again and was told there was nothing that could be done because they were sure of their findings that i needed a new headgasket. this place has crooks

DO NOT USE THEM, THE OWNERS HAVE CHANGED!!! Had my girl take her car in to check on an overheating issue not knowing that there were new owners. They upsold her a bunch of stuff that wasn't needed and ended up being over $2000. They conveniently could not get the car to overheat and had done most of the work before my girl called me. She drove 5 miles and had to get the car towed back there because it overheated again. They couldn't figure it out again and said it was out of the range of their knowledge. I took it to Supreme automotive and they called me the same day to tell me it needs an engine. There's a good change these people knew that but did not want to lose that $2000. What a scam!

My alternator went out on my car. Of course it happened at the worst possible time! In the midst of a family emergency and having to drive back and forth from Hammond to New Orleans. I called Russ and explained what the issue was and told him about my current family emergency predicament. He told me bring it and they would have it done the same day (I simply have to have my car, no other way to get so far) Well the repair needed more than I originally thought and as usual because of what I drive, it wasn't an easy repair. I thought for sure it was going to at least take until the next day and I wouldn't be able to keep my word and make it where I promised to be. The shop closed for 5pm, but Russ assured me he'd make sure it got done. Him and the guy who did the actual repair stayed until 8:15 that night to get me right and where I needed to be. I was able to make it to the hospital for my overnight stay before they locked the doors. I can't express my gratitude for these guys. I'm used to people just telling me what I want to hear to get my business and not holding up to their word. Not these guys, they went above and beyond. And considering what all actually needed to be done, I was not only grateful and impressed they got it done when they said they would, it was for a reasonable amount. I'd definitely recommend these guys, and I want them to know how much I appreciate what they did for me and how good of a job they did!Service: General repairs & maintenance

5 star review. Had my car towed there when it went down on the side of the road. As soon as it arrived they were already diagnosing the problem. I never imagined I would get my car back so quickly when they told me it would be ready by 4PM. Very nice and responsive. I would recommend them to anyone.

This was the worse experience ever... We got an alignment done with Tangi. When we picked it up, the truck drove awful. We took it back and the owner was very rude. He said it wasn't his work and blamed the work on something that had nothing to do with the alignment. We left and had another shop diagnose the problem. The alignment was not accurate. We had it fixed then took all our paperwork to him to show him it was not done correctly, hoping he would be somewhat compassionate and understanding. We were very wrong. He told us he wouldn't refund our money and literally said..."the best thing for you to do is leave" and pointed to the door. Unless you are looking for someone to cost you a few hundred dollars and not complete a job...stay away.

I have used Tangi Car Care for 10+ years. They called me by name when I walked in the door. In all of that time, I never had one reason to complain. Earlier this year, it changed ownership. The first time that I had my oil changed under the new ownership, I later discovered that several caps had been left open under the hood. Today, I decided to give them another try. When I got back in my car to leave, there were two dash warnings flashing. I called the owner back over and asked about them. I told him that neither were on when I pulled in. None of them could answer why I now had warnings flashing. After I drive 12 miles home, I received a phone call that they had failed to plug something back in after changing my oil. This necessitated me driving 12 miles back for them to fix it. This was very inconvenient for me and very unprofessional. I had asked them about it before I left. They could only walk around scratching their heads. I guess they googled it after I left. This is nowhere near the level of service that I received under the previous owners.Fool me once, shame on youFool me twice, shame on meThere won't be a third time, because I am not going back. If there was a way to give them negative stars, I would.

Friendly staff, but be aware the labor will cost 2x more than the parts it's self. Got my friend to lift my truck with my help in 4 hours. They told us it could take a day to two, with over $2,000 labor, with parts only being $800. If it takes 5 professionals that long to do a 3 inch lift that inst fast work, maybe quality but not convenient or fast. My advice get a buddy to help you do it yourself and watch a YouTube video. Save you a extra grand or two.

Brought my Ford truck to them for bad water pump had to pay $2300. Then they ran into other problems which cost me more money. The cost is at $3000. They kept it over month. Got my truck back now my engine light is on and they saying its my Cadillac converter. No lights was on in my truck prior to me bringing it. They have to remove it in order to drop my moter to fix my water pump now I need one. $1700 more dollars. I dont think these people knew what they were doing.

I was having issues with my AC going hot and cold and mist blowing out after other auto repairs were done and they referred me to TCCC. After diagnosis I was informed there was a leak in my bumper and the cost for repairs and labor would be $500 plus. After getting the repairs within 2 months the same problem occurred and I was told I had a leak somewhere else and it would be an additional $300 plus. THE ALTERNATIVE FACTS YOU SPEAK SIR . I went to an oil change place and was informed there was no leak but I needed a new condenser, which would cost $400 plus. All the EVIL being spoken!! None the less my experience was horrid because my vehicle was not properly repaired if I would have gotten the proper diagnosis I would have cool air and extra money and not have to suffer in this Louisiana HEAT.

I had the most frustrating experience with this shop. I was having electrical problems with my car. It didn't want to turn on. It ended up being a bad starter like I had anticipated. I am not a mechanic but I let them know the car's symptoms and what it was doing. "take your time, there's no rush, I'd rather the car get done correctly rather than fast."They were timely, I'll give them that. The next day, I get a phone call. The man explains to me that the reason my car won't turn over, is I need a new fuel pump. Parts and labor plus a rush charge would bring my total up to around $750. I reiterated that "there wasn't a need to rush, I wasn't in a hurry."In a couple days, they "fixed" my car and handed me the keys. When I go to drive it home, the car STILL won't start. The man said he'd need to take a further look as to what the problem is. I managed to get the car to start and I took the car home. I ordered a new starter and managed to swap it out myself. The car didn't give me anymore problems after that.tl;dr This shop ignored what I told them, fixed what wasn't broken, overcharged me and still expected me to continue doing business with them. Don't bring your car here. They're unethical, dishonest, swindlers!

Russell was extremely nice, totally kept me up to date on everything that was going on with my little car. And they did good work. And that good work they did on my car for me was abundantly cheaper than anywhere else in the parish

The staff is friendly and honest. I will ABSOLUTELY give them credit in that area. However, I am reluctant to give any points in the areas of courtesy or in-depth knowledge of more complex issues First, let me speak on the courtesy piece. Nobody on their end called me to let me know what was going on with my car. I had to call at least 3 times during the course of the day, only to receive vague responses. I finally got tired of waiting on any definitive answers and went up there. Only then, did they tell me that they didn't feel confident in making the repairs and that I should consider buying a new car. I had it towed to a different shop, and a day and $500 later, it was running, good as new with no problems at all.I am happy that the guys at Tangi Car Care expressed their complete lack of confidence in their abilities to perform the repair. But, it was somewhat troubling that they suggested getting a new car and writing mine off. It was further a little bothersome that somebody couldn't have gotten back with me sooner that day. I felt like they were trying to avoid the subject and maybe it would just go away. And, then, for a major repair shop not to have confidence in their own abilities, idk.... That's not good. Minor repairs, these guys can probably handle. But, if you have a more complex issue, I really wouldn't waste my time. This is just my experience and opinion.

They tired to over charge me for a simple job and didn t even fully figure out what was wrong with my car. I don t understand why they think just because we are females that we don t know about cars, but I fixed the problem myself and saved 500 dollars. There s a problem when a tune up cost about 400 dollars, but I know for next time where not to go . Go at your own risk!!!! And if you call them then go into the shop they are going to give you two different prices so make sure you quote them on everything that is being discussed!

My husband and I were in Hammond, we are from MS, when my 2002 Dodge Durango decided not to crank. We went to Tangi Car Care Center to see if they could fix it for us that day so we didn't have to stay another night out of town. After putting our truck on the rack, my husband looked under it and ask them if they would do a few other things. Robert and his crew were very accommodating, knowledgeable, courteous, and extremely Professional! The price for the work we had done was easy on the pocket. I just wish I lived closer. This is the place I would go to!

My clutch went out in my 2010 Ford Mustang and the Ford Dealership wanted to charge 2052.00 plus tax to fix it..... Brought to Tangi Car Care for second opinion..... Yes the clutch did go out but Tangi charged 400.00 for labor to install my parts. Definitely worth the second opinion

I've been doing business with these guys for over 10 years. They have always taken care of me and my cars and their still running 10 years later.I found them after being shell shocked by the local ford dealer and have never looked back.Major maintenance projects have included lowering both my vehicles, custom exhaust work, complete suspension overhauls, and ac work.

We are under new ownership as of February 1st. We are not the cheapest shop in town but that allows us to employ elite employees and purchase state of the art equipment so we can deliver repair quality that rivals the dealerships. We are more affordable than dealerships with a much faster turnaround on services.

Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere other than this place. They ll rob you blind and take advantage of anyone. They didn t even replace the right part in my car and tried to charge me again to replace the correct part.

I was traveling from Gulf Shores to Texas when a check engine light came on so I found the nearest Auto Zone to diagnose it. The guy working recommended Tangi to fix the problem. My vehicle had a bad ignition coil on cylinder #3 and was idling terrible. I asked them to replace the spark plugs too since I was at 97,000 miles and they have never been changed. I was back on the road in an hour. Very glad I found this place while traveling because I was a long way from home!

Been going there for a few years. Good service. Pretty reasonable as far as car repairs go.
