Heard from a very reliable source they are very good. Unfortunately they were closed to the 8th of January and my vehicle was broke down on the side of the road. Had to have it towed somewhere else.

My name is Billie Hutchinson and I have been using expert CV for many, many, many (about 16 to 20) years. From my experience you cannot find a better place to bring your vehicle. The owner, Brian, is an honest person and very thorough. His expertise is far above average. He is fair in the costs as well. I have NEVER seen anyone treat their customers any better than Brian. I highly recommend Brian. Plus his sweet wife at the front desk is very knowledgeable in the business. WORST SHOP EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. First of all, I called the day beforehand and asked how much it was for an alignment. They told me 110$ and told me I could bring my truck around 8-9 the next day and they would have it done quickly. So I got to the shop at 8:50, told them I was here for my alignment. I DID NOT GET MY TRUCK BACK UNTIL 11:45. I noticed they took it for a test drive 4 different times. Two other customers walked in after me and were able to leave before me and they had gotten more major work than my wheel alignment. Around the 2 and a half hour mark, I asked the lady how much longer my truck was going to be and she said "I don't know". When they handed me the keys, the check engine light was on and now there is a really loud whistling sound coming from the truck. I told them my truck was in perfect shape before they had driven it and they said all they could offer to do was run diagnostics on it. I am not saying this is 100% their fault, but really fishy that my truck was driven 4 different times and comes back running badly. Not to mention, THE ALIGNMENT WAS NOT EVEN GOOD. Makes me wonder what they were actually doing to my truck. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!Service: Wheel alignment

I brought my car here the other day to get my catalytic converters cleaned out. I was charged $150. I brought my car to my mechanic and turns out THEY NEVER CLEANED THE CONVERTERS OR EVEN TOUCHED THEM! BUT STILL CHARGED ME FOR IT AND WOULD NOT GIVE ME A RECEIPT!! THESE PEOPLE/BUSINESS IS FULL OF CROOKS! DO NOT COME HERE OR CHECK THEIR WORK BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!!

If I could give this place 10 Stars I would! From the moment I called to get a quote and they told me they do free inspection to figure out what's wrong with the car before they give the quote, to him calling me an hour after I dropped it off to tell me I was just missing my brake calipers, if this was any other mechanic they could have told me it was a much bigger problem like I thought but they were honest and gave me a very fair price highly recommend and I will be using them in the future if I have any more problems with my vehicles!

Beware!!!!!!I do 99% of my own mechanic work. Unless I lose patience. Strike 1 left me on side of road with a brake caliper with no screws in it. It was never tightened. Luckily I carry tools always so stole 1 from passenger side to get me to them since they honored to fix this. I had a trailer behind me.had to park trailer at lowes to go to them. I have a witness that was with me this day. Today I changed my control arm. Realized that nice new shiny caliper bolt they bought and put in was never tightened again. I freely turned it with my fingers. Owner had bad attitude and got loud when I politely said can you give me some money back or something. Would not pay to have it towed to them. Said that's my problem. They replaced lower ball joints when all this began. My ball joints are in @ 2 different depths. He insists its 100%. I don't trust them at all. What if I was a single mom or a elder person in this situation with no mechanical knowledge. Their back to back errors could have been fatal. Literally or at least enough to total your car. Luckily I stopped and knew what to check and had tools on me. Don't worry folks you won't see my face at your shop again. Telling the truth to the public. I have nothing against them personally. This is not a 1 up for me. In fact I'm the one getting screwed. Oh had them install dual exhaust years ago and it rattled like a can with a bb in it. They did fix it months later when I finally was able to bring it to them. Oh pipes popped out the muffler like 4 times. They finally welded it. Fine now. This was a whole different inconvenience.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

Extremely fair fast and friendly. I would have paid double this price for the work they performed on my CV axle, hub, sway bar and sway bar link anywhere else. Even test drove vehicles for customers in heavy south Louisiana down pour. Patriotic and super courteous. I m a construction laborer in an old 2008 GMC Sierra truck and was treated the same as if I as the people in the higher end vehicles. Truly a blessing and saved me day of work. God truly blessed me finding this garage.

They did an awesome job on my 2012 Chevy TraverseThey changed out my starter and did a great job in great timing too. Very well priced and very nice people there. Would recommend to anybody needing work in or around Hammond area. Would give 6 stars if possible.

This place has some of the nicest and most honest people I've ever seen at a repair shop. Their honesty has blown my mind. I'll share my story with the first experience with expert CV joint. I had brought my Honda pilot to the dealership to get the brakes replaced and a few days later my brakes started clunking fairly violently when I tried to slow down. I brought the vehicle to them because they were close by and I was to worried about driving a longer distance. When I went to pick up the vehicle later that same day they asked me for $25. I was so confused that I had to ask if it was a mistake. They replied saying that all that had happened was a bolt wasn't tightened enough so they just popped in a new one. This literally blew my mind, a repair shop that doesn't upsell when they have a perfect opportunity to? Wow.. this experience has forever gained my loyalty and every time I need anything done they do a wonderful job at a very cheap price compared to the dealership. So far I've brought my vehicle there to have the brakes fixed that first time, have my radiator replaced when it exploded, and have my rotors and brakes replaced this most recent time. Every time they have been wonderful. The mechanic even test drove my new brakes to make sure everything was working properly and alerted me to my front balding tires, which I hadn't even noticed. Feel kind of dumb that I didn't notice, but they are indeed balding to the point where I need to replace them. This is going far beyond what I had expected in terms of service, and I will never bring my vehicle to anyone else unless it's for something that Expert CV joint doesn't offer. I highly recommend giving them a try.

OMG! I was along way from home and my car started making this noise at high speeds, With all the service warranties calls I thought my drivetrain was going out, on a Saturday morning no one was open that would take a look at it, except for Expert CV, we drove it and had a cool conversation very friendly and wonderful service highly recommend them plus my vehicle is doing excellent! Thanks guys for the top notch service!

Me and my wife have been coming here for over 10 years. Always great friendly service and great competitive prices. They dont try and up sell you but they do go the extra mile to insure that you know exactly what you need to have done and make the best recommendations. I would highly recommend coming here for all of your car needs.

Bought a 2006chevy cobalt from the owner Mr. Brian. Great deal great car. Very honest person. Thank you my friend.on5/29/18 car wouldn't stay running. Most affordable mechanic I have ever been too. He let me bring in my own belts and starter and he installed them for me and only charged for labor. He was hundreds cheaper than every other shop in Hammond I spoke with!

Was evacuating for a hurricane, en route had a serious car issue, they were able to see us straight away and resolve the issue. Couldn t have been easier and quicker. Very appreciative and 100% recommend.

Brian looked at my car and told me the problem and fix it for a reasonable price. Before I chose his shop, I went to several shops( I didn t know about Expert C.V joint) They wanted to charge me a lot of money, for a problem opposite of what Brian fix. I m happy I chose the right mechanic. I will continue to go here for my car care needs. My daughter came as well a Brian fix problems what another mechanic messed up on her car.

I have been coming to Expert CV for years. I appreciate Mr Brian answering and giving explanations to my many questions about my car. "What's wrong? Does it need fixing yet? What will happen if I don't fix it? ...or How long can I drive it until it creates an emergency?..." :)I like getting information about my car and the problem and appreciate being told on more than one occasion that something doesn't need to be fixed yet!Also, I appreciate the friendship and respect of his wife (who works the office) and am glad to have met their children in my time of going there. :) May GOD bless y'all. This is a five star business. I am new to the Hammond area and went to Expert CV Joint for a brake job this morning based on their good reviews. Brian was polite, honest and knowledgeable. Terry was polite, sweet and knowledgeable. I will refer family and friends to get their auto repairs done here.

Checked my car out quickly and gave me a call to let me know what was wrong. Fixed the problem fast, charged a fair price. Honest. Definitely going back in the future next time I need a mechanic. Was recommended to me by friends.
