Mannn I can t praise these guys enough. Had an air line blow on top of my transmission, was stuck at the Walmart dc in Robert, La. They came fast!! First the mechanic Scott came to see if it was a quick fix on site and identified the problem immediately. Needed to have the tow truck come and they cut me a deal. The mechanic didn t try to run up a hourly rate and would document his time and even would tell ME ABOUT IT SO I WASNT IN THE BLIND. THAT RIGHT THERE IS GREAT BUSINESS!!! Got my truck back up and going and didn t leave nothing for the unknown. Highly recommend this place and I will always do business with them if I m in this area. Fellow Owner Ops this place is gold. Do not hesitate.

We had an Emissions/Check Engine Light issue in our Entegra Anthem while traveling across country. The Big Wheel team stepped up to get us in and out of their shop and back on the road in less than 3 hours! Cody was our service team member and he was fantastic - friendly and extremely knowledgeable in his ability to service our needs. Thank you to Gary and Cody - highly recommend Big Wheel.

We were hauling our 5th wheel when after a rest stop on the hi way we suddenly lost acceleration. I could get the speed up to 65 eventually, but it took awhile, and if I had to brake, it took awhile to get the speed back up again. We found an RV park after a few miles, and the woman at the desk asked around for local diesel mechanics. Big Wheel was only a mile down the road so we drove it there. At first they said they could not get to it, but agreed to have the night shift mechanic take a quick look at it. He spent 45 minutes on it, tested a bunch of things, and blew out some part I didn't recognize. Anyway, it fixed it. The owner and the mechanic came out to tell us what they found and what they did, and sent us on our way, NO CHARGE. "Merry Christmas" is what the owner said, and "Leave us a good review". This is that review, well earned by Big Wheel Diesel & Wrecker Service. A Christmas miracle.

Big Wheel is the Big Deal!My driver was stranded in Hammond, LA when his Freightliner rig suddenly derated and shut off on I-12. Rhonda dispatched a tech to do a roadside regen, but later had to tow it into the shop. It was midnight on a Friday night, so we had to wait till Monday for full repair, but the team got on it fast and fixed a DEF exhaust leak and got us back on the road Tuesday morning. The price was good, and the speed, accuracy and professionalism of their service was great. Even after the tow, we were able to deliver our 45,000 of freight to our customer undisturbed. Thank you so much for the rescue! I highly recommend your team and will reach out if we ever need help in the area again.

Disrespectful driver charged me 300$ for a tow from downtown Hammond into Tickfaw. After someone slammed into the side of my vehicle. The Cop who showed up on the scene said his family owned this company. He also held me responsible for the accident. The people who hit my car sued my insurance & got 40,000+ dollars. I was dropped by my insurance and my vehicle left damaged. I don't recommend Big Wheel towing to anyone ever! Take your money elsewhere and save yourself a lot of trouble.

I took my 2016 peterbilt 579 to them for a 3 axle alignment a couple of weeks ago.i have to say this first before I continue, before I took it to them while driving when I hit a bump or bad patch of road I would grab the steering so firm my hands would hurt to stay on the road and was really nervous when it rained I didn't feel in control,but after taking it to them i was a little uneasy on takeing it there,as I'm very picky on whom work on my truck.But I'm so glad I did, after being on the road for a few weeks hitting all kinds of bumps and driving on bad roads my truck have not driven so good since I bought it. The mechanic who did all the work on it gets a huge thumbs . You did a fantastic job.

I had a code on my truck and took it to a shop in Virginia took them 6hours and couldn't figure it out said the 559 code were too difficult to diagnose. So I was forced to continue driving it the way it was. I had no power and even empty it wouldn't go passed 50mph. So I called Big wheel and spoke to Cody he said being it in. Not only did he diagnose it but explained every step he was doing . This guy knows what he's doing .. no guessing at all . Take my word don't waste your time going anywhere else. This is the place. Very hard working mechanics . And ask for Cody . You wont be disappointed.

My truck broke down on Sunday. I was still able to get my truck towed to Big Wheel shop. Unlike some of these other shops that misdiagnose problems after keeping your truck for 2 weeks and then charge you an arm and a leg ...Big Wheel actually diagnosed mine correctly and in a timely fashion. I was only there 3 days and I wasn't mad at my ending cost. They are more than fair!!! The whole staff is professional and the owner Gary is a gentleman and he stays involved with the customers throughout the whole process which you don't see anywhere else! I was extremely impressed!! Any issues I have with my truck..I will definitely take it back to Big Wheel!!!

They allowed us to come in on Saturday after hours which we appreciated very much. We have an older RV that needed an A/C repair. The tech Cody was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Cost was average for a weekend call-in. Worth every penny! Definitely recommend to anyone needing RV repairs in the Hammond area or if you're just passing through. Thank you so much! We'll be a lot more comfortable on our trip now.

I picked up our bus from the dealer down the road after "service". The dreaded DEF warning for the sensor. The folks knew we were almost 400 miles away, that the bus would not make it, and that the light was on... Never said a word. Now the good part. Got ahold of Gary, he said I will fit you in if you can come now. He got right on it, tech figured out the issue in 20 minutes, contacted Spartan, who overnighted it, and I was on my way back to Galveston the next evening. The thing that struck me the most, as a business owner, he was moving around the shop as a real General would a battlefield. He knew every single tat that was going on in that office, in that shop, nd with those parts. Shop was clean, well organized and well equipped. I think for many, his get it done attitude with no frills scares them, or "intimidates" them for the lack of it in themselves. I was impressed, and will probably bring the coach back to him for that reason, even though they are 400 miles away. Thanks again Gary.

Truck broke down @ the Petro Truck Stop, made the call to get towed to the shop, Gary(owner) told me he would do his best to get in a day or two, in shop the next morning, found the problem. Cody(mechanic) GREAT! SHARP! explain everything to me and made suggestions, issue fixed and some other repairs were made to my truck. Gary kept me informed the whole time and pricing was reasonable. Terry, Stephanie and the whole office staff was nice and friendly. Clean shop and organize. Gary runs a tight ship over there!!! Will go back there again to get other items fixed.Happy with the Service and Price!

Worst people I ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. Charged me to unlock the gate so that I could retrieve the keys to my deceased father s house after they towed his truck from the wreck that he died in. Then charged storage for 30 days while I was waiting on the death certificate to be issued so that I could move the truck.

I needed to have an alignment done on my 2015 Entegra Anthem and I chose Big Wheel because they were an authorized Spartan service shop and the good reviews. I was not disappointed. Gary kept me informed during the entire process while working on my motor home. Their prices are very reasonable and I am very pleased with their work. I am a happy camper and plan to use them in the future for any of my Spartan chassis needs. I would highly recommend them.

Where do I start with this one...Big Wheel, Inc is where you want to take your Commercial Vehicle if you are ever in need in Hammond, LA. I ran into a major problem that I panicked on very fast. My company was transporting a load and a simple careless mistake happed at the Pilot around the corner. My husband pumped DEF into the Diesel tank. We made calls around for a towing company and Big Wheel was by far the most inexpensive. Melvin took great care of our vehicle in a quick and timely manner. He was very professional and assured us the situation would be handled with care. At 8am once the doors opened Terry greeted us and got us checked in. Terry was extremely polite and helpful and also assured us that they would get someone on it as soon as they could. The place was swamped with vehicles. I spoke with the owner Gary (my now BFF) and explained my situation, he was very straight forward and informed me that he could not give me an exact time frame, but he was thinking the following morning that my vehicle would be ready. I am a new business owner and was sitting on a load that needed to be there the same morning that Gary had quoted me to be ready. Tears began to fall because I did not want to be late on this load. Gary told me that he would see what he could do, but he couldn't make me any promises. Not only did Gary and his Team deliver, they got my baby back up and running that same day. I was so relieved. If you want your vehicle handled with care, love, and professionalism, I encourage you to go to Big Wheel. Not only will they save you a nice penny, but will deliver exceptional customer service. Thanks again Big Wheel for taking great care of us.

Had a load shift inside my Conestoga trailer at the Home Depot DC. Melvin brought the forklift out and was able to fix my load without any damages. Very respectful, calm and religious young man. The price was very reasonable and Gary was very sympathetic towards helping a driver in need. I highly recommend calling these guys for anything! Thanks again!

Had a break down in Livingston Louisiana with one of my units. I have been working with the owner Gary to get this unit repaired over the last week due to a dealer repair that had a bad installation on a rear end costing me a lot of money. All I have to say is that Gary and his team already have us fixed and the owner Gary is very much truly a man of his word. Words can t describe how much respect he has earned with us. We will continue to bring big wheel work in the future because they can be trusted and are reliable. Thank you guys for having our back!

This place is out to get nothing but your money.The so-called certified Cummins mechanics need to go back to school.I had a blown valve cover. Which I have never seen before either. The certified Cummins mechanic said that he tried to put a breaker bar and turn the motor over and could not.I told them do not worry about it I will bring it home and they were mad because he wanted to tear the motor down just so he can get more money out of me. Got a home put all in the top and turned it over with the key. The truck cranked up and ran fine. The problem was the crankshaft filter was clogged that s all they need

Made an appointment for a date and time that the office person said was available. Delivered motorhome at opening time of 8am. Drove by the business around 3:45pm and noticed motorhome out front thinking work was just finished. Called the office and service manager Gary said they were to busy to do any of the work. Picked up motorhome and will not be back. I lost a day of work pay trying to be a good returning customer but I guess that doesn't matter. Time to find a new place for motorhome work.

I ll start by saying the office staff was friendly. The manager/ owner is a crook. I took my 43 rv in for a front end alignment and to change my fuel filter that sits right in the side door, very easy to get to. A week later I get a phone call stating he couldn t do my alignment because he didn t have the right equipment code for my RV. He still charged me $241.61. I still can t believe it.So I called Spartan chassis s they recommended S&H in Hammond. I personally asked the owner if he knew of S&H, but he denied it. S&H is only a few miles from him. Please don t take your RV are Truck there. You will regret if you do.

I was driving an RV cross country when I ran into some brake issues. Not only did Cody help me after hours, he found and fixed the problem that night, also showing me the problem first person, and provided great customer service. He even offered to check the oil. I would highly recommend this place.

Went in a few years back, and just needed to go in again. Scott helped me build out my 60 series Detroit engine the few years ago, and when I went in again I made sure he was the one I went to. Very to the point, and is the best at Big Wheel in my opinion. Glad he could find out what was wrong, troubleshoot the issue and keep me informed on what was going on. Very good person to work with, and if any of you happen to go there see Scott. I'm recommending Big Wheel and him to any of my friends in the local area.

Very impressed. They agreed to stay past closing time so i could pay my tow bill and get my truck out the salvage yard. They were super helpful and very nice. Nancy was a huge help.Also i cannot thank Houston enough!! That is a great man. He stayed on his own time to help me load my truck and get it safely loaded onto the trailer i had. Could not have done it without him. One of the nicest men i have ever met. I got put in an unfortunate situation and this company did what they coukd to help.

Came out at 1030 pm no quotations asked. Showed up with the right truck for the job and was super nice, friendly, easy to get along with. Towed my work truck about 50 miles and got it there safe in sound. Reliable and way cheaper than most tow companies out there. They will have my buisness from here on out (and we've got a few tricks so we need a tow regularly)
