I went into Battery Depot to buy a battery for my security system. They had the battery and I paid for it. The person who waited on me could not have cared less about the questions I asked him. He answered in a short, rude way and sometimes with one word answers. He walked away from me as if to dismiss me. Extremely rude. They had a very interesting selection of high-end flashlights on display which I attempted to ask about. He continued his very rude retreat. A lady came out, and by this time I had had enough of the rudeness. I asked if she was the owner of the business. She said the she and her son were owners. I asked if the man I had talked to was her son. She answered that that was Noah. I told her that if my employees had treated any customer that way, he would be fired. She was nice enough and said she was sorry that had happened, Noah's social skills are badly lacking. The lady, I think, has heard it all before and just accepts that Noah is a social cripple. There was absolutely no pleasant words from Noah or the lady. I will do business there again only if there is absolutely no other alternative. I rated Battery Depot at one star only because there is not a choice for no stars. Avoid it. Amazon or Ebay could not possibly be more impersonal than Battery Depot in Hammond.

I had a bad experience last night with a different place. Was that the battery depot early this morning when a manager or owner came out and helped me. I was just desperate for a cheap battery and he double check to make sure that I needed one. He was wonderful. The young guy that came and pulled my battery was an angel. There is a nice woman that took my money and I have to be honest even if I had millions, this is the place I would want to go. I never give 5 stars. They deserve that and more! Restores my faith in humanity.

Battery Depot is where me and my family go for all of our battery needs! Small, family owned and operated business that gives nothing but personable and professional service. Every battery I have ever bought here has been nothing but reliable. I will continue to give them my business and highly recommend them to all of my family and friends!

I needed a specialty battery (uninterruptible power supply unit).I brought this particular battery to them and I was told to leave it and they would call me back once the battery was ready... I really didn't know they could fix batteries but they indicated they would replace the inside cells, and like I said, they would call me once the battery was ready.Anyway, COVID-19 came along and they closed. I never received a call from them and obviously I worried. I decided to call them and their voicemail said something along the lines of, "We're closed but if it's an emergency send us an email to"... Well, I sent them an email and I explained that the battery wasn't actually mine but a customer's of mine and I really needed the battery. They replied promptly and indicated that the battery was ready and I could pick it up at anytime or they could even deliver it to/for me. I chose the latter and the battery was delivered to my customer without any additional charge. Needless to say, my customer is very happy and I'm even happier.

This is where you want to go if you need a new battery. They keep their inventory fresh and you don't pay the markup that you would at these part stories. Other battries like Everstart may be cheaper, but they don't last as long and they're older. I've purchased 3-4 batteries from here over the last few years and I've never ran into any issues. I would highly recommend checking here if you need a battery, especially a motorcycle.

Great prices, reliable batteries, and very helpful and honest people to deal with. I highly recommend them and will definitely buy all my batteries there.

I will never bring Batteries to battery depot again because i have brought Car Batteries here 4 times now and EVERY TIME they ALWAYS cheat me. The Auto Parts stores will give me $10.00 dollars each no matter which store it is ANY of them will pay that.,But at Battery Depot they only give me $6.00 each battery and the 2 batteries that i brought them were still good car batteries.!!!!!#NO MORE NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!
