Went In spent an hour in line to find out that I have to turn in old plates if getting DV plates.So go do as T Johnson said to do. Never once did she say get back before a certain time so I get back 15 minutes before closing and was turned away.

They call me and leave a message to call back about documents they need and when you call back, they never answer the Phone!Called constantly all day for a week and never an answer. Phone rings 4 times then hangs up.Update - once i got thru on the phone, the lady was very nice and helpful.

Without a doubt the slowest OMV that I've ever been to. 6 windows for services and only 2 people providing service. In all of the time that I've used this office there's never been more than 4 people working.

After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical but I needed a new id for my college. So I went on Friday around 2 and there were about 20 or so people in front of me. The staff was very nice and I was in and out in about an hour or hour an half.

After reading the requirements for the initial issuance of a Real ID identification card for my 15 yr old child, we waited for 2 hrs to be told she needed 3 forms of ID to get her 1st ID. We had the birth certificate, social security card copy (which is stated can be provided vocally) and school ID along with her parent. The worker told me we didn't have enough proof for her to just get an ID. Not a license or anything else. Just an ID so I can start her a checking account. The website says one thing and the worker says something else. Seems to be the common complaint for this location.

Worst DMV ever. Literally have all 4 desks open yet only calling 1 number at a time. For something so simple I sat here hours till finally seen. I'll never use this DMV again. I wish I didn't have to leave any stars cause it's not worth even 1. Just never again!!!!

Ok so it s the DMV. It s not the Four Seasons.I was prepared and had the documents I needed for the business I needed to transact, according to their website. Took a number, waited about 20 minutes, explained what I needed, and about 10 minutes later walked out without an issue and with everything I needed.The employee I worked with wasn t singing showtunes, but she was polite enough for an overworked and underpaid state employee.Figure out what you need before you go, and don t make silly things their problem and I guarantee you will have an ok experience.

I visited the Ascension OMV today. The service was awful. I was coming in to inquire about the documents I'd need to obtain a Louisiana driver's license. The woman who waited on me acted as if she was doing me a favor by allowing me to be in her presence. She cut her eyes and stared at me aggressively. I work in customer service also, so I understand being tired of people and their attitudes, but her behavior was inexcusable. From reading the reviews, it appears I'm not to the only one this has happened to. She said one sentence to me and sat there staring, waiting for me to leave. Don't go unless you have to, and even then, prepare to be treated poorly.

Never thought I would walk into a place where I felt the staff were working really hard to make sure I DONT get the service I came in for. Most companies may try to work with you in case you may come short of certain things or send you in the right direction to help you down the road but the objective was to send me off as quickly and unprofessionally as possible. I always dread when I know I have to come here because I know their best interest is definitely not me.

Visited the Gonzales location. I renewed my DL and got a TIP for my son. The wait was about an hour but staff was working diligently with others, friendly, and helpful. Katrina was especially helpful and professional.No complaints , especially after reading all of the negative reviews.

Absolutely terrible service with uneducated and rude employees. My SIL went to change her license and they said they need her husbands green card because he has a Hispanic last name. He s from Puerto Rico and she was informed already. After this they still refused to change her license properly. Never heard of a grown women from this country not even know who citizens are, plus the automatic assumption that he wasn t a citizen is gross.

I had ALL the proper materials/information required for Real ID. I had one less than 2 years ago from a different state. This location REFUSED to accept my Birth Certificate saying it did not have the raised seal YES it does. I do not argue with government employees. Now that is less than a year before requiring Real ID for even domestic travel; I have to go back, wait again, explain myself again & pay again. It s all good. A hassle no one wants but I will go.That s why the 2 stars.

ALL of the workers are very rude , no patience , habve you waiting a very long time for no reason , talk amongst each other more than helping clients ! Disturbing eye contact as if they don t want to be at work and no one Ever answer the phone . Very sad for such small building

The new location is a huge improvement. Wait time varies. I'm giving 5 stars largely because the woman greeting us when they opened was so funny and welcoming. The woman who waited on me not so much, but I got in and out in record time, so overall a good experience.

Wish I could give it 0 stars. The rude employees literally roll their eyes and make things way more difficult then they have to be all while trying their very best to NOT HELP you in anyway. This place is THE WORST!

This place probably has the worst customer service in Gonzales. Some of the workers treat you like they hate their job. Please do not come to this location for your needs. Instead of the manager asking what the concern was, this character Antonia Peake, makes the situation worst. I truly understand why this office has a 1 start on customer service.

I went just before 8am. I counted 15 people in line ahead of me outside. I expected the worst. My number was called in about 10 to 15 minutes. I had three things to get done there. I was back home in an hour. The lady who helped me was nice! Very surprised after seeing the horrible reviews.

READ REQUIREMENTS BEFORE VISITING! Staff is friendly, and helped get my teenager set up with temp Instructional Permit (TIP). Process takes some time, as there is quite a bit to enter/update within the system. Be polite to the staff, and they will be more than willing to help!OMV lines are long, regardless of which office visited. Expect a wait time, depending on time of arrival. If not at the office BEFORE opening time, expect to wait at least an hour (60mins).

I expected to wait forever with the people in there, but I went an hour before closing so they were in a hurry to go home. Only waited about 20 minutes and the lady that helped me was super polite and funny.I live in Baton Rouge and it takes less time to literally drive to this location and back than it does to be seen at the BR DMV.I will be back this month for a duplicate title!

I went to DMV Gonzalez today. There were about 7 people lined up outside of the door. After waiting in line in the cold for about 50 mins an employee comes to the door and without opening it just leaned against it and said through the door, ok what happened to my line. Well everyone was tired of standing so the line was staggering. She said I don t know how it goes so she just stood there looking at us. She kept saying it so I shouted to her, we know we know how it goes we re the one s who have been standing out here all this time. Then she opened the door and said well who s next and the line went in order as it should. I started to tell her your worring about the line and not being considerate of if anyone needed to use the restroom after all that time standing in the cold or if someone is disabled our there and being considerate of there situation. I decided to leave well enough alone!!!

I wasn't treated poorly, however, I was lied to. I was told that they had ordered my license plate & would call me within 2 days to tell me when to pick up my plate. It has been 2 weeks & their phone is constantly busy. Even in the evening. I can only assume that it is disconnected. Very frustrating. Not a good experience. I have had to stop driving my vehicle because the renewal has expired. Unforgivable!

This place is horrible! The workers need to be retrained or fired. They have the nastiest attitudes. This place needs to be closed down. God bless their wicked souls they are lost.

This is the worst DMV ever. I was there for 2 hours because they only have 3 people actually working and one of them doesn't call people by number, instead she just takes people she knows and people who are just doing easy things like renewals. The first time I came I listened to her talk to one person about personal matters for 45 minutes instead of doing her job. Don't use this one, go to Donaldsonville or Baton Rouge. It's worth the drive because you'll be done faster anyway.

if i could put 0 stars i would. went over here to get my TIP three times. first time couldn t get it because my guardian didn t have a license. second time they said we needed a proof of residence, even though they didn t mention it the first time. third time we go with proof of residence, and they say birth certificate is too distraught even though they said nothing about it the first TWO times. they also didn t even ASK for the proof of residence. they re inconsistent and disorganized, and i will not be going back. id rather make the drive to baton rouge than ever go back to a place whose paperwork requirements change based on what worker you get.

Never are you greeted with a "Hello" and you're always spoken to in some monotone "I dont wanna be here" voice. If you have questions it's like they get mad because you're wasting their time. I mean yall already got me waiting outside in whatever weather we got going on then when I FINALLY can get out of the 90 heat yall are just rude. And they can get away with it because everyone visits the DMV needs to be there. It's not like you can take your business elsewhere.It would be great to have someone working there who actually cares about the person they're speaking to.

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not only did she tell my personal and private information throughout the establishment, but she also refused to answer simple questions. If you don't like your job, GET A DIFFERENT JOB! I ended up walking out and going to another DMV. Treat others how you'd like to be treated. I only left one star so that I can leave this comment. This experience was the absolute worst for me.
