I really enjoyed this museum! I have wanted to visit for a while and was so excited to get the chance last week! The museum is packed to the gills with memorabilia. Its located in a very cool spot that ties into the history, It's somewhat organized, but could use some better labeling and if the authentic items could be showcased in a more prominent position that would be amazing. The owner was really cool to hang out and talk with as he could give a lot of backstory and info about the real Bonnie and Clyde as well as the many other characters and people involved in their great story.

Very pricey and more of a roadside attraction . They have a few interesting items, and everything else just feels like a bunch of items that have the names of Bonnie and Clyde and thrown in cases. It smelt like cigarettes inside and I m not sure because the owner smokes in there or if it s just attached to the walls. If you re looking for a roadside attraction then this is the place for you. If you re looking for a museum with quality exhibits then skip this and save your money. On a side note, the staff are very friendly and kind. They also have a sandwich joint attached to the building in case you get hungry. Food options in the area are very limited.

Not really what we expected. They have a ton of pictures, news papers, and other written items to tell the story of Bonnie & Clyde and their gang in timeline form. But they themselves do not really have any real memorabilia to speak of. All the stuff they have looks like things he got from garage sales or ebay. They do have a few things here and there but it's hard to tell what is genuine and what's not if you get what I mean. The car that's there from what we could figure is one of the actual "Death Cars" from the movies which is super cool. The whole place was dirty and dingy. Lighting wasn't the best, he made it work though. The chairs set up to watch the video he has playing weren't in the best of shape. There was an unknown red substance splattered on a couple of the displays, it could be there for theatrics but the two displays were pretty far apart and neither was about a death so you judge for yourself. To top it off the dinner to the right of where you walk in had what could only be described as mummified cat vomit on the sports card display case. I mean someone lit two stick incense behind the display like a foot away. Did you not see the nasty pile of cat vomit?? Must not have been their job to clean it up.All in all it was interesting reading some of the news papers and other items. I personally won't be telling my friends they need to go.

It's been my bfs dream to go to this museum!! We were greeted by a furry doorbell that barked upon our arrival plus a sassy feline decoration that followed us throughout the entryway. When you first walk in its an extensive gift shop. It costs $7 for adults and obviously is not kid friendly since there was blood crimes and murder involved. You would have to call to see what she is allowed did see a teenager there. The museum is decent sized plus has a documentary about the crime spree and capture all throughout. Tons of newspaper clippings, the ACTUAL car that was shot, the museum is the place they ate at before getting shot 10 minutes later. Definitely worth a look!! You can see a sign right from Highway 20 its worth every penny for somebody into crime!

Wow - this was far beyond my expectations. I only thought I knew the story. The collection of newspaper stories from that time shined a whole new light. It's also interesting how different people's accounts are. All I can say, is if you have only read about it and/or saw the movies - I highly recommend the Ambush Museum. If you're on your way to or from Shreveport it's not far off the interstate.

Awesome piece of history! This is where they bought a couple sandwiches to go which was their last meal.To walk around in the building where Bonnie and Clyde got their last meal is pretty eerie to say the least! There is so much memorabilia here! They have a replica of the car they were ambushed in and many many pictures and articles about their lives and crime spree. They play a 15 minute documentary telling some of the story of their crime spree. The lady inside was very nice and very knowledgeable.Definitely worth the stop!Plan to spend at least an hour here! From here you can drive the 7.5 miles to see the ambush site where they met their fate minutes after leaving the Cafe.

Interesting. Yet some things just seemed so morbid and I don't understand why these extremes had to be met. There's a room in the back that my mind, body and spirit just wouldn't let me go in. I found out later why and I'm glad I didn't see any further in there than I had already accidentally seen. The museum is said to be part o the Cafe Bonnie & Clyde stopped to get sandwiches approx 8 minutes before they were ambushed. Seeing the museum after finally seeing the movie start to finish led to some questions. We also visited the landmark where the vehicle was ambushed, there's an newer landmark that has been placed right next to the old one. Which has been shot at so many times and written all over that it's just destroyed and barely legible.

This is a good museum with lots of items but only a few are original to Bonnie and Clyde. Maybe more than a few with 2 of the guns found in the car. A door with bullet holes from an earlier escape and some original clothing. The cost is 8.00 per person unless you are 5 or younger. Well worth the cost.

I was lucky enough to meet Boots, the son of Ted Hinton. He was running the museum at the time. Guy was super cool. We probably spoke for 3 hours. This has been probably 10 years ago

I loved this adventure. My dad and mom took me here to teach me more about Bonnie and Clyde.I learned a lot from the pictures and the papers. It's really neat to just read the past of these two ride or die lovers. They were true ride or die people.

Bonnie and Clyde Ambush Museum gibsland Louisiana. Not only does this have a ton of information in a specific way that it's presented to you but this is also the redesigned area that was once the diner we're Bonnie and Clyde had their last meal. The specific location is actually about 7 miles away from their actual death spot. There's several different things the present the whole situation to you in a way that you can learn in video of the actual occurrence for you to see in the museum. I highly recommend reliving this story and showing your respects to these American Outlaws Bonnie and Clyde!!!!

Good place to stop before you take Bonnie and Clyde's last ride to the site where they were ambushed. The owner/operator is great for info including a printed sheet of directions. Has alot of very cool stuff. Worth the stop!

It's a great historic spot to visit, less than two miles from I-20. A lot of posters and news items about two people who victims of their own violent reputation. The actual ambush site is located about eight miles from the museum. Many of the items on display in the museum, like the bullet-ridden car the pair were in when they were ambushed by the law, are graphic and bloody. Discretion is advised.

Very informative museum depicting accurate and objective historical documents such as articles, descriptions and reading materials for the visitors. I was impressed as I did don think the museum would have such a large collection.
