My husband and I were traveling to Texas in our Class A motorhome and we were on the bridge on I-10 going over the Mississippi River. Just as we cleared the top, my husband announced he had lost power steering, brakes, and the engine temperature was climbing. The traffic was heavy, but he managed to pull off the road just past a merge lane. In spite of having roadside assistance, we waited nearly 7 hours for a tow. We found Powerhouse RV Center by searching online for a shop that could handle what my husband had determined was a fan belt. The owner was WONDERFUL!! They were long since closed by the time we were towed the 49 miles to the shop (after waiting for 7 hours for a wrecker to be found), but he had an employee meet us there, let us sleep in our RV in their gated parking lot, and started working on the RV first thing in the morning. They determined the belt tensioner had gone bad, and they had both the tensioner and the belt available later that morning, then had them installed and we were on our way again by 2 in the afternoon. The employees were knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and concerned for our well-being and comfort and took what could have been a trip-ending event and managed to save the day and our trip. We are very, very grateful and recommend them HIGHLY!

What a great group of people. My husband owns his own garage and recently needed some work done on one of his car haulers. We decided to give Powerhouse a try due to his heavy workload. WOW we were very impressed with the attention to detail and professional work they did. Not only were they efficient, but they were also priced fairly. We will definitely be using this company in the future. Thank you for coming to our rescue!!

I brought my travel trailer here in order to get the AC thermostat looked at in addition to testing the camper for propane leaks as my propane detector was going off.I was called and told that the AC replacement would cost me $200. I clarified and said "that's $200 for everything? Including installation?" And was told yes. This was the ONLY time money was ever discussed. When they were done with the work they charged me $1400+ in labor costs. I understand that some miscommunication happened and understand paying for labor. But that price was outrageous. They wanted me to believe it took them 7 hours to replace a thermostat and check for gas leaks. They also sold me a defective propane detector and installed it incorrectly.I brought it back to have them fix it and I was told it was fixed, just to arrive home to the alarm falsely going off again. When I looked into their installation I saw that there were two wires they didn't even connect to the detector which wasn't supplying correct power to the detector.I m sorry to report but I received less than one star service from powerhouse RV.

This review is specifically for Mr. Walt himself. Mr. Walt has been working on our RV and when we got it back we went out of town and we had some minor issues arise THANKS to Mr. Walt who was available after hours to help us out with everything and walk us through what needed to be fixed. So, thank you Mr. Walt for being there for us!

Totally ripped me off!!! I feel like I've been strong-armed robbed! Wayne is a very dishonest man...he talks nice, smiles and all the while does not have your best interest at heart.I called Powerhouse RV Center and talked to a guy named Walt and asked him how much would it cost to replace the fan clutch on my 2018 Tiffin Phaeton. I explained to him that I did not need a diagnosis, I'm 100 percent sure the clutch is bad and all I need them to do is replace it with the one I was going to order from Tiffin and have overnighted to them. He told me it would take two (2) hours of labor at $169.00 an hour, and whatever my clutch cost (which I did order from Tiffin and had it overnighted to them). When I arrived at their business with my motorhome, Walt was not there, instead Wayne was who I dealt with. I explained to him what Walt and I had previously discussed and he did not say anything different. He had his secretary write-up what I wanted done, which was fan clutch replaced. We had a brief discussion of whether he wanted to get the clutch from a local vendor, or should I just go ahead and order it from Tiffin. He said that he would also have to get it from Tiffin, so go ahead and order it. Tiffin had closed for the day at that time, so I told him I would order it the next morning, which I did. When my unit was ready a couple days later, I asked what my final bill was, and was told it was $1045.92. I was floored!Long story short, they charged me over three (3) hours of labor to do a diagnosis and another one (1) hour of labor to let my unit run for an hour to check the temperature. All it takes to determine if a fan clutch is bad is to SPIN the fan. If it spins freely, which mine did, the clutch has failed and need to be replaced. There is no repairing a fan clutch, it must be replaced. Besides that fact, I only hired them to replace my fan clutch with the new one I ordered from Tiffin, nothing more. I did not need them to diagnose anything, which would only have taken a couple minutes to do anyway (JUST SPIN THE FAN). I had even left the access cover to the fan off. And further, to check to see if the new fan is working, the only thing that had to be done is, start the vehicle. The fan runs when the engine is running. They overcharged me for four (4) hours of labor, claiming to have done unnecessary work that I did not ask them to do, which I don't believe they did anyway. And what they wrote, "tested and removed fan clutch will need to get overnighted." Seriously!!! They charged me nearly $500.00 just for that. When I went to pickup my coach, I asked Wayne to please not do that. I said we both know that this is not right. All he said was "sorry!"I left there feeling sick to my stomach to have been wronged so badly. I truly feel like I was robbed. This business cannot be trusted.

We left the garage everything was fine, and 300 miles away we have a leak diesel problem. I call them and Terry (the boss) came it took 3 hours and 1/2 drive to fix the problem and everything is fine now. Our family was traveling through this area July 4th in our motorhome when we encountered trouble with our onboard generator, I called up powerhouse on the 5th and they told me to bring it and they would look at it the same day. When we arrived they promptly checked us in and even allowed us to connect to shore power for the AC to keep running. Within about 2-3 hrs they found the problem and fixed it on the spot. These guys really helped us out of a tough spot, highly recommend their service

Highly recommend these guys. When we were on the road and needed an emergency repair they were the only local service center that would make time to see us. They were knowledge, got a repair done quickly, and were extraordinarily friendly throughout the whole visit.

They saved me a lot of money on my A/C's, but charged me double to have a flat changed. If you use them get an estimate on everything they do.
