I trust Art and crew with all my vehicles and kids vehicles. There are no more honest than this in all of Baton Rouge.

I went to Mr. Art after a local shop on O Neal lane quoted me thousands of dollars and told me I would be better off selling it. Mr. Art said that nothing was wrong and that the only thing he see is when my daddy had the car someone welded the strut plate on to the car. So if I could find somebody to grind that off and get my car lined up I should be good. He has my business for a lifetime!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Art has been working on my fianc�e vehicles for over 10 years, and mine for 7 years. I've seen him treat every customer with respect, and go above and beyond to help me and my fianc�e out when we were financially in a bind. He's always explained why something is good or bad, what he thinks you should do, and if you only have the finances for part of what needs to be done, he will instruct you "Get this first, it's most important", etc. Overall just a great person. If he can't fix something, or doesn't work on a specific part, he tells you up front. You don't get that level of service most places these days. 100% recommended!

Always takes care of my vehicles. Mr. Art has worked on my family's cars for about 40 years and specifically on my personal vehicles for over 19 years. Never had an upsale or more-work-than-needed type of issue. If its a simple fix, they are happy to handle it at a reasonable price

This is a VERY HONEST repair shop. Art will NOT charge you for things that you don't need, like other repair shops would. The prices are affordable and the service repair is great and done quickly. He has a lot of clients and that is a testament to the great work he does and the fair prices that he charges. I left a former repair shop that I used to go because they began to price gouge after COVID to recoup losses during the pandemic while their shop was closed. Brakes and More was suggested by a family member, and it was the best suggestion ever for my car repairs.There are not too many quality and honest car repair shops out there, but BRAKES AND MORE IS AS HONEST AS THEY COME. I cant say enough good things about this place!

If I could give Art & his team 1000 stars, I would. I recently moved to Baton Rouge and was having some car troubles so I took it to Chabills to get checked out, they said it was going to be roughly $4000 to fix all of the brake issues & another $750 to fix the throttle body. Not wanting to spend almost $5k, I took it to Art for a second opinion and boy am I glad I did. He was able to fix the throttle body & brake issues for $800 and referred me to a tire shop up the road to get 4 new tires. All in I spent roughly $1400 and my car has never run smoother than it is right now. I can t thank Art enough for being such an honest & fair mechanic, he is now the only person I trust in Baton Rouge to work on my vehicle & I will refer as many people to him as I possibly can. I was referred to Brakes & More by McDonald's Tire II when I needed some repairs done that McDonald's didn't handle. I've been to B&M multiple times since that initial visit due to the wonderful experience I received. Being female, I'm wary by default when I have to interact with a mechanic, but Mr. Art is a gem & I immediately knew I was in good hands. I've since been here for multiple reasons & I've always been met with kindness and never "talked down to" as women sometimes experience in a male-focused environment. Not to mention the efficiency when it comes to their work. I have complete trust in the quality of their work and never have I overpaid for any service or felt like I'm being taken advantage of. My dad (86 years old) recently had trouble with his truck while driving to Baton Rouge for a visit. The problem caused his truck to shift into limp mode; just enough for him to get off the highway and into the first "mechanic" shop he could find. The shop offered to diagnose the problem for $50, repairs above that.He fortunately decided to get a cup of coffee and let the truck rest instead. He completed his trip without problem and arrived safely. I took him to Brakes and More the next day. He left two hours later with a total bill, diagnosis and repair, of $31.90.Brakes and More is my first stop for anything automotive. Without exception I have found this shop brutally honest and fairly priced. Art once recommended last rites for my wife's car, for free. They are not shy about saying they cannot perform a repair and will refer you to the proper shop that can. Stellar place for preventative maintenance at a reasonable price. This keeps me from the catastrophic problems later with the catastrophic price tags.Thank you Art! There aren't many shops like yours left in this world.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Art was amazing! Every time I have needed someone to bail me out of a jam with my vehicle, he is there to help. I ve been using Art for over 20 years and have never had a single issue. He s honest and upfront. I know what to expect with him at all times. Work is great, and prices are fair.

Although, they're busy, and it's best to call ahead and see when they can take you, they do a excellent job of getting you in and out as quickly and inexpensively as possible. I take my car to them as a first choice. Call them first and they will advise you if they can help you or not.

My entire family (including myself) goes to Brakes n More and we have been customers for the last 20+ years. I believe honest mechanics are a dying breed and Art (the owner) is one of the few that are left. He always does good quality work for a very reasonable price.

My father and I both have been taking cars to Art for the last 13 years and I won't take my car to anyone else. If he can't do the type of repairs required Art has always recommended great shops that can do the job. Art has never tried to sell me unnecessary repairs and has even saved me from getting repairs that weren't necessary.If you want an honest no nonsense job done on your car by an expert take it to Brakes & More you will be glad you did

Art the owner is honest as the day is long. I've been taking my vehicles here for years. I'm reluctant to give a great review because I don't want him to busy to fix mine. Quality work, stands behind it and will look for the cheapest way to fix it and give you all of your options. Either way it always is fixed, but don't let him make to much money he may retire.

This gentleman has been in business for 23+ years and always is busy. He is honest about the work that needs to be done. He will not recommend work that does NOT need to be done. In today's world that is rare. Call to make appointment before going, he is that busy. I have recommended him to others. I will continue to use him for all my car repair needs....

This is an awesome repair shop! I've gotten quality service at fair prices over several years. Art literally helped me keep my Nissan Xterra running until I could get a new vehicle. Excellent, honest customer service! Owner keeps you posted on your vehicle's issue and on his attempts to fix/diagnose. Won't overcharge and is probably the only honest mechanic I've ever dealt with. Been there twice, both with great results.

Art the owner is always honest and fair. His employees are always nice and courteous. They do great work at an affordable price. I wish all mechanics were like them. This is the only person I trust with my vehicles.

Art, the owner, is the most honest mechanic you will ever meet. Been using him for over 15 years. The first time I went to him for a brake job he told me they didn't need to be changed, only cleaned and charged be $20, not $200 like other shops would have. I have referred many people, also satisfied to him.

I've gone here for years. Art is one of the honest mechanics. He will only do what you need and not recommend a bunch of unneeded work like the dealership does. I've always had excellent work and been happy with the prices.

One of my friends highly recommended this place to me on Facebook, and it certainly did not disappoint when I brought it there. The owner, whose name is Art, is very honest and straightforward. He does great work and his prices are very reasonable.

I love brakes and more! I went there a year or so ago because my sisters car needed brakes and they did the job for a better price and a much better job than a place I chose for a different car. I now go to them for all my oil changes and anything extra that they can handle. Love this place!

I had a brand new battery that kept losing its charge. I took my vehicle to Brakes and More and they discovered the new battery had a dead cell, replaced it and all is well. That said, they could have sold me an alternator, a voltage regulator or anything because I know nothing about cars. However, they didn't, were honest, friendly and helped me. I'd recommend them to anybody and wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else!!! Thanks a million
