Joey does great work, and quickly once you get in. Takes cars as they come but you can call and he'll give you a time to be there. Very reasonable charges.

Would like to thank Joe for understanding people from up our way don't have big money and it's very refreshing to me that he is as cheap as anyone and probably better at what he does than anyone, people come from miles and miles away, can't say enough about how good a person he is , but I will continue to spread the word Joe as I have done in the past, don't know me from Adam but takes care of me like he knew me all his life

Great owner, operator! Been here twice and both times he was friendly and got the job at hand diagnosed quickly and repaired quickly with very reasonable rates. Take all your muffler needs to this little place!

Joey has put every set of pipes on my trucks since I was 18 years old I just had another truck done and he always does the Best work and takes pride in what he does he's Old school quick and to the point he opens at nine but you better get there early first come first serve he's worth the wait cash is King

Was in town on a family vacation and experienced some car troubles that needed addressed before heading home. Stopped by his shop to see if he could help, Joey made time to get us in that day and addressed our issue. Couldn t have dealt with/met a nicer guy!!! Definitely recommend to anyone in Stanton and any others that may travel in that direction! Thank you for helping us get home safely!!

First come first serve. Joey's muffler shop is hands down the best place to go for all your muffler related needs. Joey did a mid muffler swap for me on my car and he is quick, efficient and a master of quality. Unbeatable prices with the best weld around. If you're in Central Kentucky or even a few hours away it is worth the drive.

Joey has a limited amount of cars he can take a day and people line up super early. He is the only muffler guy there, his prices are super great, and he does amazing work. He's friendly too but because all the reasons listed prior, he could be super unfriendly and I would still recommend him. I've used him for multiple cars and he will tell you the price after looking but before starting. This time he found more than I asked for so he asked me and gave me a new price (which most of us know is now how mechanics do things). I can't recommend him enough.

Best prices around for exhaust work, Joey is a bit blunt so you have to listen to him and not be rude. It's a privately owned business and he doesn't put up with attitude, he will ask you to leave. He works hard, fast and honest for a decent price all he asks is you be respectful. Definitely will go back if I ever need exhaust work.

Best exhaust shop in ky! Accepts cash only so don t forget cash! Does great job and is cheapest around. It s worth the drive if you have to drive. Be sure to get to him early and if you call and set up an appointment let him know exactly what you need done so he can be sure to know what to expect when you pull up. He s worked on 7 of my vehicles and will be only man I let touch my exhaust!!

Joey is one of the best Custom exhaust guys alive. He has been doing it over 30+ years. Folks come from other states for his eye for perfection. I just had my 4th set of duels done.

You won't find a better muffler shop! Walk ins only. The wait is part of the charm. Owner operator has been in busy for years because he does it right the first time at a price that can't be beat. Quick professional service makes this a must pick. People travel 50 plus miles to a small rural town, it's that good.

It's the only place to go for exhaust work. Great honest work. Get here early if you want to get in. He stays busy for a reason. I'd say local legend but it far exceeds that. People drive hours and some sleep in there cars out front to get first in line. You can't beat this place.

Best muffler shop around. It's first come, first served. Joey doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. It's a little single bay shop that is always busy. It's cash or check only.

Remember to take every car you own here because Joey is a pro and no one in Kentucky will beat his prices and expertise. I've taken 10+ cars for the body shop I work for and every time Joey does the best job you could ask for at a price no one will beat.

I had heard about a man who was somewhat of a cultural icon and hero to gear heads in the area in and around Stanton, KY. Joey was all I knew him as.I had just recently purchased some exhaust parts to go with my existing exhaust which was somewhat pieced together. Unfortunately, there were not enough parts in my personal parts arsenal to make it work. After discussing my issue with a great brother from Church, he said, If you could just get it to Joey... so, I decided to go to Joey.I m not a paid reviewer , nor journalist. I m a Pastor. And this is my experience with the man, the myth, the legend that is Joey s Muffler Shop in Stanton, KY.My brother/friend told me to get to his shop about 7:00am. Via Google, I saw his shop opened at 9am weekdays and 7am Saturdays. I assumed my friend meant get there at 7am if you go on Saturday . So, I mistakenly waited till 9am. Four others were already ahead of me. The first man there had arrived at 7:30. The second was there about 7:45. I was now number five on the list.At 9am, the shop door opened and Joey stepped outside. Around 6 feet tall, black hair. Who s first, he said with his back against the wall while looking down and writing with pen and paper. He had three primary questions:1.) who s next?2.) what are you driving?3.) what do you need?And, Joey was a man on a mission.His personality was direct. Abrupt. To the point. It was honest and it had an edge that made you wonder if he was just old-school or if he had just slammed his finger in his truck door. It was startling and, actually, hilarious. It was down right funny to me. As he went through each man there, their vehicle and what they needed, I was positively entertained.These men all drove from another city (43 miles in my case) and were waiting in line for up to an hour and a half before he opened. And, this happened everyday. With a fluent knowledge of his field, an incredibly sharp eye along with all the warmth and tenderness of a seasick crocodile , one thing became absolutely clear. I started to realize that Joey must, indeed, be the BEST! Then, he went to work.No joke; watching what were, obviously, years of experience and knowledge surface and unfurl in a man who was a mixture of sandpaper and a paint brush. An artist that is as careful as a doctor and as precise as a surgeon, and, at times, as subtil as a brick to the face. I was mind blown.Make no mistake. My observations of Joey are not meant to be insulting. Quite the contrary. I was blown away. I realized that he has to be the best.At one point one of his (obviously) old friends showed up and I watched a smile cross his face. He was quite glad to see this friend who was also in a Mustang. Same color as mine, too. White. His friend asked how far down the list he was, Joey sharply responded, About a mile. When he smiled and laughed with his friend I realized that the cyborg was actually human. When I heard he and his friend interact with that old-school, old friend wit, I realized that Joey wasn t a respecter of persons, per say. He was just raspy and smooth at the same time - with everybody. It s part of his generation.The price: Joey quoted a fabulous price to every man ahead of me. Then, for work that would have cost me over $100 other places, Joey said, $40. Again, I m a Pastor. And, I read in a good Ole Book somewhere that a laborer is worthy of his hire . I was prepared to spend more but wasn t sure how much. But, I planned to tip him already. Sir, you keep the change , I said as I handed him a $100 bill. In typical, old-school fashion, he tried to rebut my tip and give me correct change. I wouldn t hear if it. I appreciate the entertainment , I told him.Joey had left an impression on me. I would like to think I left an impression on him.Is he good? The best! Is he cheap? The cheapest! Is he entertaining? Bring your popcorn! It s an experience! Joey, you re awesome! These guys are the best. They do the best quality work, and do it fast. Very reasonable on pricing. Any vehicle I have owned in the last 20 years has had exhaust put on here. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Did not honor his word. I arrived at 5:22 a.m. and sat until just before 12:30 p.m. It was my turn, and once he brought it my Mustang and seen all that I wanted on, he told me that it would take him about an hour and a half to put on a mid pipe and exhaust. He told me that I would have to come back. He had two others waiting after me that he wanted to finish before calling it a day. I will not be coming back. Make appointments if you can't honor first come first served. I know you will not suffer financially by losing one customer, but I chose your business over other businesses due to your outstanding reviews. You sir have lost me as a lifelong customer.

Joey is top of the line! Always does great work and and it doesn't hurt that he is an awesome fellow either. Would never go anywhere else for any type of exhaust work. Thank you Joey for everything you do!!

I have been going to Joey's for 20 years. 2 big differences between him and all others. 1, Joey is honest. 2, he will tell you he is not trying to get rich, just help people. That is why his pricing is the lowest.

Had some exhaust work done here today, it sounds awesome too. Friendly guy, a Nice cool different environment shop he has. Drove about 45miles because it was recommended.
