I stopped in to buy a couple containers of cleaning wipes. The clerk asked for my phone number. I assumed he was seeing if my number was already in the system. Then he asked me for my name. I asked why he needed to know my name. He said he was just following the required procedure. I said "You have to know my name for me to buy these wipes?" He said "Yes, that is the way they operate." I put the wipes back on the shelf.I will possibly try another store at some point but if it really is company policy to get my personal information just to make a simple purchase then I will no longer be a customer.

HORRIBLE RUDE PEOPLE!!! They will curse you out! If you must go to an Advanced Auto Parts PLEASE save yourself the TIME, HEADACHE and AGGRAVATION by going to the other Advanced Auto Parts location in Somerset (North side near Hwy 80.) The other location is so much more friendlier and knowledgable than the IDIOTS that work here! I would NOT recommend my worst enemy deal with these bumbling rude idiots!!!! Corporate needs a SERIOUS OVERHAUL OF THIS STORE!!!! Fire everyone and start from scratch!

Advance Auto Parts in Somerset, KY had the Pennzoil non-synthetic motor oil for my high mileage vehicle. Walmart seems to have switched to synthetic only.

Walk in ask for a diagnostic on my car employee argues with other employee about not doing anything and how they can help the customers. Well the guy who said this ends up walking in a huff grabbing the machine and knocking over a box and coming outside. I ask him what the codes mean and tells me to google it. Doesn t look up the part cost nothing. I sit in my car for 20 minutes looking up something I know very little about and then walk in to buy some things and the two people working see me don t acknowledge me don t ask if I need help or anything. I am pregnant and waddling around the store put two things on the counter nobody comes because they are parleying in the aisle like a married couple. I wonder if they would even bother reacting if I was walking out with the stuff I wanted. Oh and I should add it was 4:45 in the afternoon and the store was empty. No excuse and completely unacceptable service and behavior

Service is good. The guy got right on the computer, told me exactly how much I would need. He knew quite a bit about the vehicle. Was able to buy a single manifold gasket instead of the whole kit like every other store I'll talk to. Hook the vehicle up for me and ran through the diagnostics with me reassuring me what I was thinking was wrong was wrong. Plus gave me extra information on how to keep my truck tip top! If you walk in the South advanced Auto parts in Somerset Kentucky look for the cowboy hat a kid knows his stuff and was very well-mannered! Needs a raise thank you

Went to this location to have a battery checked and recharged. The associate was friendly and helpful. I left the battery and he called later to pick it up. Definitely will do business here again.

Great staff. Select of parts are very limited and prices are really high. I will stick to ordering online unless it's something urgent. Also for most oils and other common fluids walmart is ALOT cheaper.

Found most of what I was looking for but alot of what matters to me are how the people that work there treat you when they are being real. And they were very genuinely nice and helpful.

They didn't have the part I needed in stock, but did at their other store on the north side of town. They had a courier get the part for me and bring back to the south location, with no up front cost to me, and i picked it up with no problem whatsoever my next trip out.

One of the workers here is a joke. I went back to return two O2 sensors that I purchased and didn't end up needing. The guy at the counter wouldn't take 1 of the sensors back, basically calling me a liar, saying I installed it and then brought it back, which was BS because I didn't open either box. So they sold me a previously used/returned item as new, the O2 sensor he wouldn't return was missing the anti-seize and cap. I've spend a lot of money on numerous parts at this location over the past 2 weeks, but no more. Autozone or oreillys has my business now.

Staff complying with health mandates. Great selection of parts, accessories, and everything Auto. Oh and they were courteous as well. What more could you want from your auto parts store?

My belt shredded during a storm, I was 10 minutes away and the guy was more worried about closing time then staying an extra 5 - 10 minutes. Pretty lousy!!
