I hit an object on the freeway and needed to have a mechanic make sure that my radiator wasn t punctured near the close of business for the day. Mac agreed to see me when others wouldn t. Much appreciated!

Had my car towed there 4 weeks ago and they were supposed to fix my transmission they told me it would be a week and they would have it fixed. Here it is 4 weeks later and I finally had my car towed somewhere else because they continued to make up excuses on why they hadn't started on my car. When I went in today to speak to them and try to figure out what was going on the mechanics daughter was rude to me and jumping in our conversation when it had absolutely nothing to do with her. These people are so unprofessional I would not recommend this place to anyone

I took my I took my car to gdr automotive repair these people were awesome. They diagnosed my car within an hour and within four hours they had it fixed. When it was done I did not have a ride back up to the shop so they sent an employee to pick me up. The shop is amazing they went above and beyond for me is it been my best experience with a mechanic shop. I would highly recommend the shop to anybody who needs their car fixedService: Steering & suspension repair

We broke down the day after Christmas driving from Michigan back to Tennessee. Unfortunately, we broke down near the GDR automotive shop. Greg was able to come out and evaluate our vehicle and told us that it needed an alternator. He told us he would be able to work on it first thing Monday and save us a few dollars instead of taking it to the dealership. The estimate for towing, evaluation that day and repairing our alternator would be $750 if we paid cash. So we rented a car and drove back to Tennessee. Unfortunately, we were scheduled to move that Monday. While we were loading the moving truck Greg called and said there was a rusty radiator on our (2015 Mazda) vehicle that needed to be replaced right away and it could not wait. This was going to cost an additional $700. He said without the repair this vehicle would not make it 30 miles down the road. Greg said we might need a battery as well. We were caught between a rock and a hard place and I told him to replace the radiator and do what was needed because we needed to pick the vehicle up and head west. He informed me that his credit card machine was down and I would have to bring $1450 cash with me to pick the vehicle up. I questioned him about the radiator and he said oh it wasn t rust it was dry rotted and cracked and so had to be replaced. We should ve just had the alternator replaced and drove to the Mazda dealership for a competent mechanic to work on it. And never, ever, pay cash to somebody. You will have no recourse or protection. We picked the vehicle up Monday late in the day and paid cash. Drove an hour down the road got a hotel for the night. The next day drove half a day before realizing the radiator was leaking and spraying all over the engine. We had to stop at the dealership, waste a few hours, pay $154 for them to pressure check and find the leak and repair it. It didn t even look like a new radiator to me. You should avoid getting work done here at all cost. If you want a place with a poor work ethic, poor quality of work and no integrity, this is your spot. But I guess why wouldn t you take advantage of a stranded traveler right after Christmas. I called Greg and told him what was going on of course and sent him pictures. He promised to send me $100 to reimburse me. After a week and a half had gone by I decided to touch base with him. He told me he was waiting on new ordered checks and I told him he could send me a money order and he then informed me there was work being done in front of the business and he had to get the money together because he had just sent a bunch of bills out, LOL. Of course it all just ended up in a major train wreck and the man did not stand behind his work or keep his word to send me $100. If that s the type of person you want working on your car best of luck to you. I m sure karma will eventually catch up to this business.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

If you want your car worked on a great price, this a great place to do business. Greg has worked on all of my cars. He gets tires changed, parts replaced, and simple repairs done quickly and very inexpensively.Don't expect bottled water, those paper floor mats, or even for everyone to have their name on their shirt- but they can change oil or tires for not a lot of dough.

I broke down in KY on my way home and they were able to get me back on the road Monday, quick quality service, greg was nice and straight forward and his mechanic jimmy did a great job replacing my transfer case and u-joints. Plus he made more door stop squeaking. Can't thank y'all enjoy.

I usually don't buy used tires but these guys were very accommodating in an emergency and helpful for someone who is still learning about tires. If you want a new tire in a common size I'd recommend calling a day ahead if you can.Edit: changing my review because a week after I got this tire I was having some issues with wobbling and discovered the tire had a broken belt

Took my car for some tie rod ends and alignment.. 3 weeks later I'm on the side of the road.. tie rods were not tight alignment got messed up and 3 new tires got shredded up. Called him and says " what can I do" you're 2000 miles away.. how about pay my bill to have someone fix it correctly

The owner of this automotive shop is one of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever met . Exceptional knowledge coming from not only Greg, the owner ',but also the mechanic . Greg Robert's personally helped me get relay switches for my escape and I am so very grateful. If you need some work done to your car or a new set of tires , GDR Automotive is the place to go. I called to see if they had a tire for my vehicle and they said yes we have two so I went to get one and they checked my old one out and put a plug in it without saying anything or how much it will be and says $18 but was going to sell a used tire and swap it out and dispose of the old one foe $43. What a rip off. They plug tires all day for $18.

They DON'T deserve any kind of star...Bought a used tire from them and they put a bald tire on my truck. He said he would give me a refund but refused to and ended up giving me 20.00 to leave his shop. Someone could end up getting killed by their stupidy and greed in a car wreck. I needed a tire with decent tread because we have sleet coming in tonight

Gary from GDR came to the rescue when AAA couldn't get a towing truck to us after 3 hours! He came after hours to help us fix a busted belt and was very professional. Would highly recommend!

I've been around alot of shops in my life and expect some B. S. But these clowns take the prize. You take your car in and tell them what you want done and they do half but charge you for all. These cucks don't deserve to be in business and the owner is a fat drunk pig. I wouldn't suggest anyone go here. I would rather take my car to the junkyard before dealing with these lowlife drug addicted scumbags. My only regret is you can't give these punks a 0 star rateing. Pure trash.

Went in for both front bearings and hubs. Problem was fixed and even though another part had to be ordered, the car was still ready the next day. Reasonable prices and friendly.

Went there to get a timing belt put in a PT Cruiser was told $800 for repairs, they had the car for over a week. Then I went to check on the car then I was told it would be at least another $1000 for the head, they should have told me that the head could have been blown when the timing belt went out, but they didn't. I will not take another car here again.

Negative ten stars. Went to have a pulley replaced and not only did they change the price 3 times but also loosened a nut so another pulley would fall off. Guess they figured I'd come back to them. Nope..

I think they are crooks said they put a new rear end in truck never let me see old parts and 2 years later axel seals are leaking again went somewhere else they said rear end had chips in teeth causing seals to leak again .I haven't used it to tow anything Don't waste your money on this place .owner is a liar and a cheat.
