I m not going to get into details, but awhile back I had an exhaust manifold gasket replaced. The shop forgot a bolt at the flange and it caused my donut gaskets to get burned up.I called and told the shop what had happened, then I was told to bring it back and they would replace the gaskets for free at the flange..I came back a day later and they had replaced the bolt, but it still had an exhaust leak.So I took it home, then unbolted it again myself, and what do you know? The gaskets were never replaced, because they were still the burned up 30 year old gaskets.The mechanic looked me into eyes then said, we put new gaskets in for you, you should be good to go.. Talking about crooked.Also, I almost forgot, I asked them to adjust my valves,one mechanic said, do you know how to do? To the other mechanic,he responded, yeah, it is like a go-cart.. There is your sign..When I picked it up, he said, it still has a tick, I think you have a bad valve.. My engine had about 1,000 miles on it at that point and the head was professionally built at Cornett s machine shop in Somerset.The valves needed adjusted..Well, after I seen what had happened with my gaskets I was sure my valve noise was because they never adjusted them, or just did not do them properly, and I do not know which is worse.So I adjusted them to spec with a feeler gauge, then you know what? The valve noise was gone. The truck sounds great, besides the crack in my manifold, and I am sure it has something to do with their work.I just would not trust them..but it is not just them, because it is hard to find a honest mechanic who does honest work.So, $250+ down the drain..Also, do not trust Reed s either.. please, do not go to Reed s..
