Booked a camping site with full hook-up. Upon arrival (around 4-430), found out office closes at 3. A seasonal resident helped us find our booked site, no sewer hookup. Resident called maintenance man who came and told us the only full hookup sites are for seasonal or monthly rentals. Pool was very nice. Water slides weren't open on Friday. No cell service, no wifi. No way to check weather alerts, had high winds and heavy rain one night. Spoke with a resident on Saturday. Asked how they would get warned if a tornado was in area. She said they wouldn't. On Saturday, went into office to ask store closing time and check-out time. Lady was very rude.Place seems like 2 different facilities, one before gate and one after gate. The area before gate was where we stayed. Playground by us was in much need of repairs, 1 baby swing and 1 regular swing. Chains were wearing thin. Had a 10 ft metal slide and a climbing dome. Temps were in upper 90s with heat index up to 115. Slide was too hot to use.Playground after gate was much nicerWill not go back. Was hoping this place was nice as it's only an hour from home.

This places worker who goes driving around is very rude and doesn t talk to people with respect even though our family was giving him respect. He acts all sweet to residents who live there but as someone who is just stay for only a short time he s very rude. And I had been told he d been rude to other people and children. There was children running around drinking and smoking underage and on their golf carts driving recklessly as my 20 year old was almost hit by them 5 times .this man went after my 18 year old daughter who was sent back to the camper by this man rudely as he didn t believe she was 18 and didn t have her ID Because she was traveling with us (her parents) and didn t know there was gonna be a golf cart.I was away getting food with my husband as my daughter was left alone at the camper after the man who was rude to her left and she was sobbing. When we got back to our she could barley talk and almost passed out 2 times. My 18 year old has a disability and him being rude made her go into a medical episode and she wouldn t leave the camper and wouldn t touch the golf cart for the rest of the time. Thank you to this place for making my daughter uncomfortable. And for ruining our trip. You all need to get your priorities right.we will never be coming back to this place again it was horrible that he treats young adults and children this way.

I am a seasonal camper at EV. My family and I are on our 5th season. I am writing this now as a disgruntled customer. When we began camping there were large amounts of activities for the kids that filled most weekends and were VERY fun on holiday weekends. This past 4th Of July weekend was, in my opinion, AWFUL! Saturday was decent and the storms weren't helping much, but Sunday's Cornhole tournament was a total after thought and was also the ONLY activity planned for the day. The water slides were closed on Monday, even though a large number of both weekenders and seasonals were staying for the 4 day weekend. The manager was scolding seasonal campers at the band's pavilion performance for "not policing" the weekenders at the pool because of the mess that was left. I feel like his time could have been better spent cleaning the pool area instead of listening to the band. I was personally at the pool 3 of the 4 days and saw overflowing trash cans each time. The manager came to the pool to tell folks they weren't allowed to have food by the pool area, but he didn't change the trash bags. The store used to stay open later on weekend nights especially during pavilion events like bands, or dances. This was nice because you could take your kids in for ice cream. That has ended over the last 2 years. The manager has gotten me ice and charged me the next day in after hours situations and did help me get a grill out of my truck. The fishing this season has been good for us, we've caught some big large mouth. Red and white seem to be the fishes' favorite colors. The updates to the bathhouse have been awesome in my opinion and the playground and basketball court are awesome. They could REALLY use better lighting though. Maybe some solar that would charge all day and then come on at night.

We made the best of our time here. Our campsite fire pit was flooded, but our neighboring family s site was adequate. Mud pits all throughout with poor drainage. Water spickets sprayed every which way. False advertising that the slides by the pool would be open. Our group watched multiple bags of chemicals be poured into the slide water which was then closed the entire weekend. Then we realized, the pool and slide are most likely on the same water filtration system? Multiple of our kiddos complained of burning eyes and were red from the water / chemicals. One of the women who worked in the general store up front was extremely rude and clearly didn t want to be working. She shouldn t be a customer service representative. There is no wi-fi and don t expect them to let you use theirs for any reason. Once we got home, two of our members (older kid and adult) came down with nasty and painful cases of bacterial pink eye- guaranteed from the pool. Campground is full of residents who are mostly very kind, but it feels very cliquey and like staff doesn t want to help much unless you are a regular. Teenagers allowed to drive golf carts around after dark, had two separate situations where older kids who were unattended bullied our 6-8 year olds. Our group made the best of what we had and did have some positive experiences with specific employees, but overall - this place needs a lot of work and we will not be returning.Nearby activities: Zero cell service: Map your activities well prior to arriving.

Friends have a private camp site here and we came down for the weekend. Half of our party camped in their camper. The others stayed in one of the 2br cabins. We had a great time. Fishing was decent. General store as nice. Playground was great. Bath house was recently remodeled and also nice (although the bathroom stalls were a little snug). It was colder, so pool wasn t open yet. Golf carts worked out well. They were accommodating when we asked to change campsites at the last minute.Just two things that really stuck out put some reflectors or reflecting tape around the pole between the two in/out entry gates. Even sober and knowing it s there, it s hard to see it.More importantly the cabin was decent. Master bed was comfy. Kitchen was decently equipped (could use a cookie sheet, however). The futon was comfy. But the bunk beds . The mattresses were half the thickness of a regular mattress and they were basically foam. You were pretty much sleeping on plywood. Very uncomfortable. Additionally, the toilet is so low and small, y elderly parents went to the bath house when they needed a restroom. I d swap them out. I m 5 4 and couldn t see myself in the bathroom mirror either. Lol. Also wish there was wifi or even some sort of cell boost at the cabins.Anyway, great time over all. Would definitely come back. Noise wasn t bad. People seemed friendly.Safety: Pretty secluded. Felt safe the entire time.Walkability: Walkable if you want, but golf carts were preferred.

The staff was friendly and accommodating but the full hookup sites are definitely not worth the price. Our original site had a piece of conduit sticking out of the ground where the sewer hook up should be so we asked to be switched and they did. The pads were almost non visible as they were over grown along with the rest of the grass. The water pressure went to a trickle once they turned the slides on Saturday. There were not enough kids to do the activities planned so they were cancelled for the kids that did show up and the slides are only open on Sat and Sun. The pool and play area are nice but in direct sunlight. The train echos throughout the valley all hours of the night with the horn on so expect to get no sleep. We left a day early as there was nothing to do and will not return.

This was Memorial weekend. When we arrived we were informed the sewers were not working in sites 1-15 and we were in site 5. A phone call or email would have been nice so we could have brought our portable dump tank. Since the sewers were not working they ask us to call them and they would pump our tanks for no charge which was nice since we paid for a site with sewer and they offered no refund for that part of the site. On sun. An older gentleman showed up and pumped our tanks, well, the black tank anyway because the gray tank was still reading half full when I checked it after he was gone. I also noticed after he was gone that the gray tank was not closed all the way so there was a steady stream going right onto the ground so I closed it. On mon. I saw a different guy not as old pumping out the tanks at 14 then 15 so i ask him if he could pump out ours at 5 and he said no he was doing theirs because they were having problems which I said yes I was told not to use the sewers all weekend then he informed me all the tanks at 1-15 were pumped sun and he wasnt going to pump mine. Told me to dump the gray water on my site cause its legal in KY which i have never heard in our 25 years of camping. The activities were not that great even in the eyes of 4 and 6yo grandchildren. Ran out of kids shirts in the first 15 mins of The tie dying activity. Waterslide appeared to work sun. Morning but when we got there at 12 it was closed with no explanation. I hope they are more prepared for the next holiday weekend because it seems like there is potential at this campground.

We loved staying at Adventure Bound Campground. Drove from Virginia Beach to meet family from Illinois and it was perfect for family fun and tent camping. Grounds were beautiful, lake, and fishing was awesome. My 3 year old caught her first fish and we all had a blast. Park was fun but dated. Customer service wonderful and owners are genuine, my only suggestion that would of made it better was longer store hours and events for kids.

Great environment, only problem was super dusty and camp sites extremely close to each other. But definitely laid back location.

First time in Kentucky. First time at Eagle Valley campground. Very convenient to the racetrack. Less then 20 minutes away on race day traffic. Very worth the drive. The grandkids enjoyed the pool. Employee Bill was very informative and gave us good information. Building a 31 foot tall water slide to soon be open. Employees were all friendly. We are used to rustic so the shower house was a improvement to some campgrounds we have stayed at. Bring water shoes and your fine. You can tell the new owners are making improvements. The new modular/cabins look really nice. Camp store was reasonably priced. We had breakfast there... cereal, muffins, coffee and juice for 3 people for under $8.00 both days and caught up on the news. We will be back

If you're looking for someplace off the beaten track this one is it. Do not plan on impulse trips to Walmart. Was pretty disappointed overall. Lakes were full of moss. You could probably have walked across them if you wanted. The bath house was what really ruined the weekend. Way too small. One toilet was out of order both days, and both stalls were too small. There was barely room to turn around in the stall. Most of the campers were permanent, so this may not have been an issue for them, but going for the weekend, it was an issue for us. They have a nice water slide and small pool for the guests. They probably should have upgraded restrooms before the pool. I had the feeling like they may have been new owners and are trying to make this place more of a destination.

The road to enter is not for the faint of heart and our GPS was way off. After arriving, we found all roads and pads were gravel, full of holes, and the holes full of water. The sites were mostly grass and muddy water, and the picnic tables old. We were blessed with working full hookup sites. The advertised water slide is only open Sat and Sun and pool is not heated. Golf carts were available to rent but at $70 per day. The good parts were great people working there in the camp store and the manager, Steven, was very accomodating. The lakes were well stocked. Camp store pricing was reasonable. With some updating of the shower house, roads, and sites, this could be an awesome place to camp, short or long term. Fyi...shower in your camper since shower and restrooms were not very clean and very old. No control on water temp with old push button style.

Work in progress. The manager is trying really hard to make the camping experience awesome. Much needed upgrades on full hookup. Seasonal campers do not follow the quiet time. It was 2 am before music was turned down. All about having a good time but the party was about a half mile from our site.

We were there for the Labor Day weekend and it was GREAT! They have a wonderful water slide for the kids, upgraded bathrooms and showers, great fishing, nice little store and great service. Suzanne went above and beyond to make everyone happy and have a safe enjoyable experience. At one point there was a family who let their 15 year old daughter drive the family Jeep around the park and she put a stop to it very quickly. It could have been very disastrous if not. The young girl was even driving in the field, but Suzanne was on top of it and got it under control. We had a wonderful time there and are looking forward to doing it again soon. Thanks Suzanne for keeping things safe!

Nice remote location for a camping trip. If you have AT&T, there is basically no service, so be prepared to be disconnected. Most of the campground is filled with seasonal and full time campers. The roads leading into the campground are single lane country roads, so take your time in case you meet another vehicle. The campground itself has a small pool, a couple water slides, a pretty nice basketball court and a couple playgrounds. All of the roads throughout the campground were gravel and quite rough, many potholes. Most of the sites don't have fresh gravel, so the camper parking can be muddy and soft.We went during one of their Halloweekends. It was a great time for the kids to go trick or treating with a lot of participantion with the seasonal campers. The overall experience was nice and relaxing. We have already booked next year's trip.

Over all it was a nice camping spot. The temperature got down in the 40s that night. The cabin we had was supposed to have a heater and one was not provided for us so we were very cold and uncomfortable the first night. We weren't able to rent a golf cart because the website doesn't mention anything about golf cart rental. The website needs to be updated. We would have rented one of the other cabins if we had known it had a TV and a few local channels. Again the website didn't mention anything about a TV.

I have been staying here in Eagle Valley for almost 2 months, renting one of their deluxe cabins while I work in Caroltan. It is absolutely gorgeous. The cabins are perfect for extended stays or just a weekend. Very comfortable. Great views. Huge porch and plenty of room for a small family. Great fishing too. Lots of good size bass, big crappie and big bluegill. Very friendly staff as well. Definitely

Have stayed here many times and love it. Very laid back and always meet wonderful people. Read a couple neg. Reviews, well people this is a campground not a 5 star resort!! A great place to take your family!! Clean, the little cabins are nice. The pool is wonderful. There is lots of room for children to run and play. This is a terrific place for families to come together and spend quality time with each other, rather than taking a vacation spending time on the phone or Internet.

Was here 6 yrs ago, was not thrilled to come back but did anyway. Now the new owners have made lots of changes. The name changed and is a better camp ground. The bath house is so much cleaner than when the camp ground was call Eagle Valley. Then you had to pay to do any extra activity, swim, paddle boat, fisk etc.... Now all enclusive. Great will be back. Great Job Adventure Bound.!!!

I am a seasonal camper here and I love it! Every weekend there is an activity (live band, dj, movies, bouncy houses, fishing tournament, etc.)! All these activities are free to campers and families! Great places to fish as well. The new manager is the sweetest and great to be around! There is a pool, new water slides and several play places for kids around the park! There is also a store that has several items you might need during your stay! Highly recommend you to spend a weekend here!

My family has been camping at Eagle Valley Campground for more than 25 years. It's a beautiful and clean place and very family friendly. We have always been treated extremely well. Also, we really enjoy coming during the 4th of July the owner has an awesome firework show and music. Great pool, paddle boats, and fishing.

My husband is an ironworker, his job travels. This is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at so far! We have been to a lot of them! Great staff, everyone is so nice!! The place is kept clean, it's a beautiful campground! They have activities on the weekends, movie night, crafts, all kinds of things for kids to do!! The pool is kept very clean! The only bad thing I can say is the sewer is messed up in some of the sites. Cell phone service isn't good at all. There are alot of attractions around the area, wish I could have visited them all! Kentucky is a beautiful state!!

I have been camping here most of my life, been a permanent camper for four years now. Started out paying 1100 year, second year 1200, adventure bound purchased after 2nd year. Rates went to 1800/year with no improvements and now being told it s going up to 2200 with not many improvements. Water park still not complete after 2 years, same outdated kids play area. And beautiful GREEN lakes with 2 new fountains....

This was our first time but definitely not our last! Even though we had to cut our stay a day short because of some inclement weather, we look forward to coming back with our friends and family!!

We have been here for 4 yrs, This place has gone in the wrong direction. In 3 yrs of ownership- 3 managers, price raises, and theft. Since the new season theft has occurred regularly, my golf cart was stolen, and that was the 3rd of many. It happened in the 5th week of open season( to my knowledge) was told they thought I new. It started when they opened. Decided to call it quits, but they're still not letting people know about the thefts, (newer people not chaining up carts) this place is a theft basket. Really dissatisfied with all this. My family enjoyed camping and had friends there. They don't trust it and you can't reach Corparate, need to go through the site. Ruined my experience. Pls ask about security and safety when going...
