I have had nothing but excellent service from Gates dealership for my cars since I bought my first Toyota in 2000...I now have my second Hyundai Santa Fe and the service remains the same. They are easy to schedule with for maintenance and provide speedy service for me. Their entire staff works for your convenience. If I could give a +10 stars I would. Keep up your excellent work!

My experience with Daniel Stone was one of the best experiences I ve had at a car dealership! I never felt like I was being pressured into a purchase or as if anything was being hidden from me during the sale- all cards were on the table and that is rare to find in this type of business. Super pleased with my experience and purchase.

The experience I had at Hyundai dealership was absolutely amazing. This is my first time purchasing a brand new vehicle and the sale representative (pictured below with me and my 2023 Hyundai Venue) was very patient and knowledgeable when it came to new vs. used etc. Furthermore, he made sure I did not purchase a vehicle with hail damage and let me test drive multiple vehicles, showed me all the perks with my venue, explained paperwork. The sales manager gave me a discount because I work in EMS which was very thoughtful. My second experience at Hyundai was to get my tire patched because of a flat. The mechanics informed me that my tire could not be patched because of the size of the hole from the metal shrapnel. I was allowed to see the tire and damage to the tire. A new tire would be $150 which I could not afford at the time. The manager comped a new tire from Louisville because my venue had 300 miles and it would be dangerous to patch my tire. I was given a ride home and later that day after the dealership closed I was given a ride back to the dealership to pick up my keys and my vehicle was parked nicely in the back. The spare tire and tools were all placed neatly back into my trunk. The two experiences I had especially with the employees was astounding. I highly recommend this dealership because they do not pressure you and are there for you every step of the way. ALL FIRST RESPONDERS CAN GET A DISCOUNT!!!

We have purchased 3 vehicles from Gates Hyundai in the past several years. Every experience has been great, but this last one while purchasing my new 2023 Hyundai Elantra SEL went above and beyond our expectations! Our salesperson, Mike Vescio was fantastic! He, along with the rest of the Gates Hyundai team made us feel like we were part of the Gates Family! Scott Boggess, Buddy Rue and of course financial manager Frank Jones deserve applause also for their professionalism, courtesy and kindness. I had never met Mike before, but he made me feel like we had been good friends for a long time. If you need a new or good used vehicle, I recommend stopping by Gates Hyundai or giving Mike a call. He will make sure you re taking care of in a fantastic manner. I love my new Hyundai and I m glad I went to Gates Hyundai to purchase it!

They even checked out some extra questions we had about warranty coverage-going out of their way to get the information. We appreciate them!

If I could give zero stars... I would. I still can't believe the awful service we received.On Monday, my husband's car broke down and he had it towed to Gates Hyundai. He was pretty sure he knew the issue was with the bracket holding his alternator. Bolts had fallen off and caused his fan belt to be destroyed. He had work done on his car due to a recall so we thought it'd be best to take it back there. They then charged us $170 to tell us he needed a new alternator and this would cost around $1700. We knew this wasn't right.We had the car towed to Evans Auto. When it got there he called us to tell us the alternator was now missing and another piece we had bought for the car and left in the backseat!! After going back to get the parts it turns out they had lied to us, because the alternator was completely fine! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the problem was caused from when Gates worked on our car previously... but I can't be for sure on that. Evan's Auto was amazing and fixed our car for an extremely affordable price!I can only assume these mechanics work on commission and wanted to try and make as much money off of us as possible by buying a part we didn't need. They managed to get $170 to waste our time, but we will not be returning.

If I could give Zero stars I would. First let me say the only person there in the service department that was nice was a guy named Michael. I took my car there for the first time about a week and a half ago for an oil change because it was a convenient location. HUGE mistake. They did not tighten the drain plug and 3 quarts of oil poured out of my car. Fortunately this was noticed when I went out to my vehicle and saw all the oil and was close enough to get my car to another place. They took a look and immediately asked if I d recently gotten the oil changed, I told them I had. They told me the plug was so loose and I was incredibly lucky it had not come out or the outcome for the car would been horrible, loss of engine. I know people are human and make mistakes BUT an oil change should be day one of mechanics. While I was there the day of getting my oil changed the Michael guy, asked if I wanted my tires rotated, I told him no because I planned on getting 4 new tires within a week or so because I needed them. He asked if he could quote me a price and I agreed. Seemed reasonable and again for convenience I agreed. He told me they had to be ordered and be in in a couple days. They came in and he called and I told him I d be back in a few days to have them put on. He said I didn t need an appointment to come in between 930-10am and they would take care of it. Again, he was very nice. I m assuming he was NOT the person who doesn t know how to change the oil. At this point I did not know the oil plug was not secure. When I returned a few days later for the tires, and at the time he told me to come I was told he was not working that day. A man named Richard was and he told me he was the service manager and I did not have an appointment and that Michael had a soft heart and was always doing favors for people. Favors?!? I mean I m paying for these tires, and probably more than I even needed to because let s be real a dealer is going to be more expensive than a tire shop most likely, but I did this because it was a convenient location. Secondly, are you kidding me!! Richard is the SERVICE MANAGER and he is literally going to talk down about his employees to a customer! What a horrible service manager! And then he couldn t even find my order, another employee had to find my work order of where I had ordered the tires. I don t recommend this location of Hyundai, SAVE your car and yourself stress and just go to a place that cares about their customers and quality of work!

The make and model of my vehicle is problematic at best and I did not purchase it at Gates Hyundai. However they have gone above and beyond to take care of me. Every time. Hands down recommend their service center.

Had some minor annoyance concerns with my 2022 Santa Cruz. I was a new customer. Was treated as if I had been coming there for years. Got an appt within 2 weeks. Unfortunately for them I had to wait at the dealership because I live out of town. I was there a respectable amount of time. No complaints. I would rather be patient and let the technician, and the vehicle get the time it needs for proper diagnostics. Other dealers have not found anything wrong Parts have arrived and I m about to get back in for repairs. I was very satisfied with the service department.

I had a 9:30 appointment for scheduled service and mount a new tire on a full size rim to have a full sized matching rim and tire as a spare. Done and out the door by 11:30. All done as I requested.Fully satisfied.

Gates Hyundai came through for us. We turned in a leased Sonata in 2018 at the end of the lease. Kentucky has property taxes that they bill to Hyundai Finance and they in turn bill the lessee for the property tax on the vehicle after they (Hyundai Finance) pay the bill to the state. We paid back the taxes to Hyundai Finance for the three years that we had that car. However, Hyundai has continued to send us a tax bill each year for the five years since we turned in the leased Sonata. Over the years I tried unsuccessfully to put a stop to getting those tax bills since we no longer had the vehicle.The diligent efforts of the finance manager at Gates Hyundai finally helped us get it resolved. He spent quite some time digging up old files and searching online to unravel the solution. He displayed a tenacity that you just don't see anymore.The folks at Gates Hyundai have been great to work with over the years. They go above and beyond in the customer service arena. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a place to purchase a car or get one serviced.

Hassle free car buying experience. They had the vehicle we have been looking for. Glad we took the drive to Richmond. The sale's person that we had helping us. He was not pushy at all. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.We took our vehicle back for our first service. The service department was knowledgeable and helpful too

I always take my Hyundai Sante Fe to Gates Hyundai, it is 25 miles from my home, however, well worth it, great group of professional service people.There is a Hyundai dealership 2 miles from my home, however, because of poor service, I refuse toPatronize them.John Hardin

Had to take my car in due to engine knocking. I took it in on the 16th and they said it wouldn t be done until about the 29th due to getting a whole new engine in and trying to get Hyundai to approve shipping a new engine and having to deal with the warranty company, etc. It got fixed and all done in the 26th and I am very pleased with their communication. Richard and Christine (the sweet lady behind the pay counter) were wonderful. I highly recommend going to Hyundai dealership if you want high class customer service and quality work.

I was in for service 2-23-24 on my Santa Cruz. My problem was with all the safety equipment on it I've backed into vehicles 2 times. I asked them to check out the problem and my safety equipment was working properly. The blind spot to the back isn't so bad when I actually use my back up camera. Lesson learnt Thanks Gates Hyundai.

This was a great dealership experience. The salesman Mr Manley was fantastic. You could immediately tell he had been selling cars for a long time. My trade in value was fair, although I did not press much harder than I normally would have. Overall I am completely satisfied with the entire process and experience. I will update this review after I have some experience with the service dept.For a 10 month update, my vehicle turned out to be a lemon. Sales and finance at Gates is truly exceptional, they have helped me through the entire process after repurchase. If you re looking for a Hyundai I cannot recommend this place enough.

My car died while I was visiting from out of town right after Christmas. DJ at the Gates team took what could have been a stressful event and turned it into a really great car buying experience, and I couldn t love my Sonata Hybrid more. Can t recommend this team enough!

I am so impressed with the quality and speed of service I received here from DJ and others,I started at "another" dealership, only to get shuffled around, and the selection was pitiful... they didn't take my wants or anything in mind, just tried to "make a sale"...I was dishearted when I left there, but when I got to Gates Hyundai, I was greated with a smile and such politeness... it took them alittle bit, but working within my means and what I was searching for, I found the right car, again , skip the other places , start your search here.Thank you all for the positive experience...

Went to test drive the car after seeing it posted on-line, and they helped walk us thru the process quickly and easily. Even stayed after-hours to finish the paperwork. Great experience! I've taken my car to this dealership for close to 7 years and never had an issue. Danielle and most of the service people have been exceptionally nice. When my car started exhibiting issues on Christmas, she immediately gave me a car to drive while mine was being worked on.The first time I was called to pick up my car, it wasn't fixed at all so they kept it again. The next time, it was fixed but the coolant tank was completely empty and the dipstick was dry. This highly upset me because I've taken such good car of my car and they said they'd test driven it. When I asked why it was test driven with potentially no oil or coolant, they said please take the courtesy vehicle again while we look into it.I noticed that my papers said roughly 227 miles were put onto my car and I became concerned it could've been driven with low oil and coolant. I spoke to the general manager on a Saturday (2/11/23) and received a call back later in the week stating that it's ready to be picked up. When I picked up my car, I noticed that dark oil had been put into the car and here's the real kicker and the reason I'm writing this review. My dashcam said the SD card was corrupted.This immediately set off red flags since I'd asked about the mileage on my car and the dashcam was fine the week prior. I recovered the footage and right before it was deleted, there is a video of a man looking at my dashcam on the morning of 02/13/23 . The files also imply that someone put my SD card into an android phone and deleted them at 11:13AM ET.Please be cautious with your belongings. On the bright side, my car is fixed, so there is that. I don't know if I'll go through the other recovered footage at the moment but maybe when I get more time, I'll update.
