This location gets a 2.5, the lowest I've ever rated. Great service and overall rather clean but at least on the 3rd floor the state of disrepair was staring you in the face. No mattress covers or matt, old stained and torn up. Unpatched smallish holes in the walls, toilet paper holder been torn off wall multiple times with poor patch job and now I guess they gave up on fixing it anymore.Hallway & elevator carpets old enough that it should have been replaced years ago. I can go on but you get the picture.

Our door would lock. There was a gap between the door and door frame large enough to see through to the hallway from the far side of the room. The phone on the room wasn't even hooked up. Not to mention clean was in there vocabulary. I hated it!Safety: Not safe at allNoteworthy details: Not clean no working phone in the room

This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. The rooms are cleaned and the staff are super nice and the breakfast is great.I would recommend that motel to anyoneRooms: Are really clean

It s an armpit hotel. The attitude from the staff is bad I think they live at the hotel and operate it. They offer laundry service for $5 but when I got my clothes back a couple pairs of pants had white paint on them (in picks)Rooms: Run down and smells

We loved our most recent visit here. The service was excellent, the location is perfect. We had an extremely loud shower head that woke up the entire hotel. But, super friendly staff, and close to everything. We will definitely be back.!!Walkability: Food,walmart,ect., all super close.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Super 8, but nowhere near when having the Wyndham name attached. Room was minimal. Bathroom served as an example of poor maintenance. Water barely got warm and kept fluctuating between cold and warm. As shown in the pictures, poor patch job on the ceiling, cracked caulk, and broken enclosure. Only thing it jad going for it was its within walking distance to a very small Walmart, Save-a-lot, and a couple other small stores. The breakfast was hot, but nowhere near other hotels. Biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee, and frozen orange juice like they serve in elementary school. The room was clean and aside from a dog barking randomly throughout the day it was quiet.

Rooms needed bathroom floor cleaned as I dont like bathroom floors being sticky. Breakfast was good. The first day, the guy was replacing breakfast items quickly. The second day, the gal wasn't keeping up and was too busy socializing.Walkability: Short walk to McDonalds, Save-A-Lot, Walmart and Goodwill.

Super nice staffClean roomsHad an issue with the tv and remote so the hotel not only took care of the problem they moved me to a better room since they could not get the problem fixed. I was fine in the first room but they said the problem could not be fixed so moving me was best. I recommend stay here if you are in the area.Nearby activities: State park and there are several things close by.

Don't stay here! This hotel is very dirty, broken down, and just outright disgusting. The front counter folks were wonderful, I must say. That's the only positive. The owner/s should be ashamed. These photos speak for themselves. The smoke smell will kill you if the mold doesn't first. Huge crack in the door so everyone can see you from the hallway. Just horrible!!

A typical days in vibe, low key but bearable because the plaza is within arms reach. Walmart, big lots, goodwill, factory connection, shoe sensation, game stop, lol caesars, dollar tree an game stop.... that alone is worth way more than lowering your standards for a night to sleep next to a full day of shoppingFood & drinks: Breakfast alone worth the dirt in the bed

Staff friendly. But run down is different then filth. Only positive was we did not get bit by any bugs. The room was filthy and hotel smells of stale cigarettes. We had 2 dirty towels hanging on back door from previous guest. Dirty socks on floor that had floor been swept would of been found. Floor was so sticky we had to keep shoes on. We were there for reunion . The 3 of us that stayed had very dirty rooms. 1 room so bad when they used the restroom they had to hold a towel to keep from getting wet from the dripping water from the ceiling. Never once offered to switch floors. Who ever owns this hotel better invest some money in it or should be closed.

The rooms are big, rooms are too dark, not enough wall plug ins and they are not in convenient locations in the rooms. Stayed here 4 times in since February 2023. Stayed April 28th thru April 29th, 2023 for our Anniversary and my 59th Birthday and this is now our monthly date night out!Price is not to bad if you stay off booking sites. Only other bad thing is they do not offer Queen Size beds here!Staff here are fantastic and they are very nice.This Motel is very pet friendly!Rooms: Have a small fridge and biker in the rooms.

Stopped for rest on our annual girls trip and our usual place was booked. The staff was very friendly and had no hesitations getting us extra towels and such. The room was just what we needed but could use a deep cleaning (black hand prints on shower walls and drizzled on shower curtain, sticky splatter on the head board and picture above it) I found it odd there was no mattress covers, burns in the bedding but the room was non smoking (no where actually ever smelled smoke so that was pleasant) we had great water pressure and hot water and no bugs. Maintenance should be improved.. so many layers of old and new caulk and the toilet rocked and moved. Walls are thin... could here the "activities" next door as if it was right in our room

The front desk staff was very helpful and nice! However, our issue begin the moment we opened our door for the room. We notice that there was a pretty large gap on the door frame that you were able to see straight into the hallway. It was not very comforting. We let the front desk know and they moved us into a different room. On the same floor with NO gap. Thank you so much! When we got into our second and "official" room we noticed that the bath/shower combo had no bath setting... It was just stuck on shower and the "hot and cold" functions were backwards.. Hot was cold and cold was hot. (We dealt with it). The last thing my husband discovered in the morning when he went into the bathroom.... Was a COCKROACH sitting on the roll of toilet paper above the toilet... That is when we turned our 2 night stay into 1 night and checked out early.

Spent the night here to get away. Had basic necessities. Rooms was clean but outdated, looked like they may have been doing repairs. Commode didn't flush correctly and tub wouldn't hold water. Paid almost $80 for one night. It's wasn't the worst place. No bugs or roaches. Nice breakfast. Overall enjoyed my stay.

They were extremely friendly and helpful. Our card was locked by the bank and they were patient and understanding as we had to take the time to straighten everything out. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the beds were a bit smaller than I expected. The first time our toilet was flushed, it began to leak all over the floor, as soon as we informed them, we were upgraded to another room. It was amazing service.

It's an older property in need of a remodel but the room was clean and the bed slept well. Everything there is a little worn and has seen better days.Nearby activities: Right next to Walmart.Safety: No security issues.

Definitely an older hotel but the rooms are clean and the staff is very nice and accommodating. They do allow pets they just ask that you keep them on a leash.

This room was clean and I didn't see any signs of bugs anywhere. It was a little run down but not so bad I couldn't stay there and the bed was pretty comfy too. I think it was a little overpriced, but it worked for the night. The breakfast was pretty good and was a grab and go bag w those pancake sausage things and fruit in it.

This Super 8 is a bit 'worn' - it could definitely use some updates!!! Also, I specifically asked for service, but we didnt get any?!?! I had to go and get all clean towels, garbage bags, and tissues, but they were out of those. The dryer fell out the wall too.I have to mention that Carolyn at the front desk is super! Very friendly, helpful, and goes above and beyond!!! I think she lives there - LOLThe location is great, close to the Prestonsburg Passage and restaurants downtown, but hopefully this Super 8 gets an infusion of HELP and soon!!!

I drove over 10 hours with my family and arrived In Prestonsburg around 2am. We have a family member in the nearby hospital and this with the closest hotel. We purchased 2 rooms and each room wasn't at all worth the price. First, the website said that it's $59 for the room we got and it ended up being over $85 after tax. Second, neither of the rooms had lights that worked. Each room had one lamp that worked. There was only one plug outlet that worked. In one of our rooms, the plug outlet was hanging out of the wall, I wish I would've taken pictures. I ended up using my flashlight to shower because there was no light in the bathroom. I was afraid to have my crawling infant on the floor because it was so disgusting. As soon as we got up and ready to leave, we went to get breakfast and there was nothing there. They have a mini fridge under lock and key and you have to ask for a water. We ended up going to the McDonald's next door to eat before going to the hospital. Which was disappointing because the room was ridiculously overpriced and we didn't even get breakfast and had to spend more money than anticipated. Unfortunately we couldn't get a refund, make sure you read the paper after they have you sign it after you pay. If I could give this a 0 star, I would. 100% do not recommend. Please drive an extra few miles to stay at a hotel that actually has working lights, breakfast past 8am and isn't disgusting. Once we left, we found a hotel to finish off our week that had working electricity and made our stay comfortable. Please find another hotel. Especially families with young children.
