We called Paducah Transmission after breaking down on the interstate on our way to Nashville. It was late on a Tuesday afternoon and we were stranded on the side of the road. They gave us the name of a tow company and said if we could get it to them, they would see what they could do within 48 hours, they had us sorted out and back on the road again! INCREDIBLE SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH. In addition to being capable and professional, the staff were infinitely kind. Our breakdown was totally due to a mistake on our part and they never made us feel stupid about it. Just cannot say enough good things about Paducah Transmission! FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY. I would do 10 stars if that were an option!

We saw tons of good reviews on Google and decided to take a chance on Paducah Transmission & Auto Repair after our normal mechanic couldn't get us in. That was almost a $1,000 mistake. We received an estimate of $1,200 which seemed extremely high so we paid the $100 diagnostic fee and decided to wait on our usual mechanic to be available. After taking a look he came up with the exact same diagnosis and charged us $300 to complete the job. Paducah Transmission & Auto Repair was going to charge us $1,000 more for the same work. Ridiculous. Would definitely recommend getting a second opinion so you don't get screwed.

We were traveling from Louisville to Missouri when our transmission started slipping and our car wouldn t go over 40 without redlining the tach. Lucked out finding this place. They got us right in and diagnosed and fixed the issue the next day. The tech told us the ins and outs of our problem and what to do if it happened again. One of the best customer service experiences of my life.

Since I can t respond editing to add: The car was found to have ONE line leaking. You broke multiple things while in there trying to fix it and had to keep ordering parts. Absolutely had nothing else wrong with it when it was brought it! We pick it up and now there are a million problems with it. We tried to bring it back in to you all the day after we picked it up and you guys couldn t figure out what was wrong with it. We have a newborn baby and it was Christmas, the soonest Mercedes could get us in was now so THATS why we are finally seeing what all YOU screwed up, Mercedes can confirm it. You didn t even put the right liquid back into it which has now clogged our heater core and left us with no heat along with all the other issues that were never there. You all lie so bad and judging by your responses to other reviews you always blame the client so we expected that. But we have proof that you destroyed our car and it is not being let go. Not a good look when you ve done the same to others as well.I would absolutely never recommend anyone take their vehicle here EVER. After having our car for OVER 30 DAYS, they turned a simple coolant leak fix into 10k worth of damage according to the Mercedes dealership. We brought the car in to have a coolant line replaced, nothing else was wrong with it! When we got it back a month later, the hood struts were broken, airmatic suspension broken, heater core damaged, a hole in the radiator and the wrong coolant was put in. We were lied to so many times and about so many different things. Every other day when they were supposed to call us, we would call and it would be a new story every time. Hard to believe a shady place like this is still in business. Avoid at all costs!

I can t say enough about how amazing these people are! My son and I were driving cross-country when his car started acting up. Thankfully, the first off road exit was Paducah. We stopped at one local tire shop and they told us nothing was wrong, but we were skeptical so we drove to Paducah Transmission. They immediately took the car for a quick spin and ascertained the problems with the tire and the axle. They sent us across town to a reputable tire company who helped and offered suggestions for a hotel and dinner at Big Ed s. Most impressive was that albeit late afternoon close to 5:00, they facilitated the parts we needed and agreed to see us at 8:30 the next morning. Thanks for these amazing people, we were back on the road by 10AM. Moreover, they did not take advantage of our desperate situation. The repairs were affordable and professionally completed. My son commented on what a lovely town Paducah is and How he will always make the stop there when driving home from college out west. What could have been a disaster situation turned into a lovely evening and an experience for my son to understand the importance of small town kindness. One of the greatest customer service experiences. My wife and I had some financial hardships and the owner worked with us on the price for the job. Honestly one of the most respectful individuals I have ever me that cares about his customers.

Great experience the best within the tri state area. I high recommend took care of me very well with my transmission issues with my vehicle was broke down and got the problem fixed very quickly. I recommend everybody to come here for their vehicle work.

We were told that something went out in the transmission. They replaced the part. I was then told that wasn't the problem we need a new transmission. Will we didn't have $3,400. So we were told we had to pay them over $900 to even get our car back or they would keep it. So we paid it. And took it to someone else and got it fixed for $800. Needless to say Paducah transmission tried to screw us over cause transmission is fine.Update: since I can't reply to Paducah transmission. My review is not false. Well my car runs fine. And like my review states you tried to screw us over. We saved $3,000 by going somewhere else

Very honest people. I was told by a dealership that my Highlander needed $10k worth of parts & labor. (This was not the Paducah dealership). I had taken it to this shop for a new transfer case last year & was very pleased with their work. So I took it back here & asked them to look at the supposed problem. They kept it for over a week going over everything & could not find a problem. They could have very easily sold me a bunch of unnecessary parts & labor. Instead, they didn't even charge me for looking at it. Highly recommend! These are the kind of people you want to give your business too.

The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. When I first called, I spoke with Laura and she gave me every option/ alternative and hope that would my help my transmission. I spoke with Corey when I picked up my car and he was very nice and asked me to give them a call after a few days to let them know how my transmission was doing. We were on vacation in Nashville and heading home to Iowa. While on the interstate our car started making a whining noise. We took to a place and had them hook up to a computer and it was an issue with the transmission. They gave us a name of a place to go and we kept getting passed around to different service stations and no one was able or willing to help until we called Paducah Transmission. By this time it was 3:30 and they closed at 5 pm. They told us to bring it in asap and they would see what they could do. They were upfront and honest. They fixed us up and had us on the road by 5 pm. They have no idea how much they helped us. We were in an unfamiliar area and just wanted to get back on the road to head home. They made that happen and the price was more than fair. Thank you so much Paducah Transmission you are truly the best.Service: Transmission

Paducah Transmission went above and beyond taking care of our vehicle and family. They did a transmission service on my work vehicle. While dropping it off the service tech helped my wife out with her van, putting her mind at ease to drive it home. They were very busy that day, but gave of their time to take care of an immediate need. Our family appreciates their concern for us as a customer along with a genuine down to earth explanation of what they fixed on our vehicle. Thanks and may God bless your business! DO NOT GO HERE!!! If I could give this 0 stars I would. Took the car in for a simple valve cover gasket replacement. And reported a clunking noise in front end. They made repairs without my authorization and never gave me an estimate for the repairs they completed. Took my car in for a 3-400 dollar repair they called me a week later with a 1000 dollar bill. When attempting to settle dispute I was jerked around cussed at and insulted and forced to leave the store under threat of calling police. I come back in next day and speak with owner who was calm and rational but still only dropped the bill by 200 and threatened to charge me 20 dollars a day until I pay for the car sitting on their lot and he also threatened to sell my car after only 30 days . I had to pull out a loan to pay for a mechanics bill that was still double what it should ve been. Currently in mediation process with a law office due to this issue terrible business and severely unprofessional. Not to mention they didn t even fix the clunking sound .Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had gone to multiple other locations to try and find the best quote and the quickest time to get my vehicle repaired. Not only did they offer to get me in in a timely fashion, but also offered me a competitive price and got the job done in a timely manner. Very good people especially if you're done with the warranty service. Laura Paducah transmission does everything she can for their customers. Very good at keeping you informed what's going on with your vehicle at all times would recommend 10 out of 10

Excellent service from the guys at Paducah Transmission. I've tried most, if not all, of the shops in the area and it's difficult to find a place that knows what they're talking about, that's honest and that stands behind their work. I typically don't leave reviews however, this place deserved my time in leaving one, as they're the only place I trust to send my vehicles! The mechanics here at Paducah transmission are top notch. They are without a doubt the best in town. I took in my truck and they were all over it. It was fixed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. The experience I had was that of a cool fall sunday morning, enjoying a nice cup of coffee watching the leaves fall and the birds cherping. I will definitely be returning for future repairs. If i could leave more than 5 stars i surely would.

We were on our way back to Illinois and was having trouble with our jeep. We stopped at this place and they were awesome! They squeezed us in and got us back on the road within a few hours. We so appreciate their kindness and willingness to help. Other shops that we called in Paducah weren t even willing to see us. Thank you!

The good people at Paducah Transmission do quality work and thoroughly explained the process. My transmission was replaced on schedule. I went back to them for a repair to the exhaust system. I'm very satisfied!

We were on a long roadtrip, and still three days away from our destination when the check-engine light lit up.A quick google search took us to Paducah, KY, to this shop.They were very helpful and gave us priority and took care of us right away.Very professional and honest with the diagnosis and fix required.They solved our car's problem and we were on our way sooner than we thought.I Highly recommend them.

Worst experience ever. I'm not the type of person that leaves reviews. In fact never written a bad one. I took my truck in 4 months ago with transmission problems. Week after week I waited an would have to call to get updates first They say silinode next it was valvebody next computer next a wiring issue. Then after all that. I call an they say no it's ur transmission. I picked my truck up today had to still pay them 1600 dollars. Had to limp it to my house doing 6000 rpms to get to 30 mile an hour. When I took it I could get to 45 doing 5000 rpms. I'm leaving so much out. To keep it short. GO SOMEWHERE ELSEService: Transmission repair

I cannot say enough great things about this amazing family-owned shop. After finding myself stranded on my way from Georgia to Wisconsin, the wonderful people at Paducah Transmission dropped everything to get my vehicle in and stayed late after hours to make sure I could get back on the road as soon as possible. Not only did they go out of their way to fix the vehicle, but they even helped get me into a hotel for the night. I truly can't say I've ever been to a shop as accommodating as this one.So, if you're near Paducah, Kentucky and in need of a quality shop that's going to treat you right, look no further than Paducah Transmission & Auto Repair.

Heather handled my vehicle need with perfection all repairs were done and most importantly they could of done things that atually were not needed they said we will do the least to see ifsolves problems before doing more. It has been almost a month and the the car runs great. They did not spend my money for things they didn't believe were necessary. I am for now on a loyal customer. We needed to bring our car somewhere to have the transmission looked at. Just about all the other shops around town told us it would be about 2k to rebuild it and they all kept saying it needed to be rebuilt. My husband talked with Paducah transmission and he explained to them what was going on. They explained in detail they few things that could have been wrong. Turns out we didn't need the transmission rebuilt and we payed way less than 2k. If you're having transmission troubles, we recommend Paducah Transmission. The staff is so helpful and friendly and they explained exactly what they did. Our car runs a while lot better. We will be back in the future. I brought my 1999 Hyundai Elantra to them for some work on it. They repaired what I brought the car in for and found a serious safety issue and called to discuss it with me. They fixed it. Too. Great work. I will go back.

I took my car in because I had been told that I needed the whole transmission rebuilt by another auto repair business and it was going to cost more than I was willing to pay, turned out it was just a simple sensor issue.
