Good and honest mechanic. After my semi got towed, he accepted to take him right away. He fixed the truck quickly and charged a fair price. I would recommend him. Thank you again.NFS Global IncService: Auto body & trim repairService: Auto body & trim repair

Easy and affordable!! Great staff & just convenient honestly. It's in town but not in town. People are just good ole country people. Great hospitality & they fixed my car so... I like it

Excellent quality work in a reasonable time (a good mechanic doesn't pretend to be a pit crew member - taking a day to fix a vehicle is an indicator of quality) and done for a reasonable price. I needed an emergency repair done for my shifter that was outside my scope of capabilities, but I also had them put my new shocks on and change my oil pan gasket just to get those projects out of the way. I'm impressed with their work and will make them my first call next time I come across something I can't do. They're a family owned business, trustworthy and honest.

Helped us out of bad situation while on 6 week roadtrip with our camper. Tires shredded on day 2. We would of had no propane or been able to pullout slide. They were unable to get parts so we could stay on our timeline. So they did a temporary fix so we could finish our trip. Stayed late on a Friday night to fix. Big thanks to the guys at Stone's.

Fair, and honest and went above and beyond to help me fix my rv issues! They let me hook up to electric for 2 nights waiting for the parts to arrive. Can't thank them enough! They even fixed a leaking problem from my hoses to the holding tank and an electrical problem in my bathroom. Good people A+ in my book...

While traveling from IL to FL, our car began to overheat. During stop and go traffic caused by a car wreck further down the interstate, so we had no choice but to pull over. After calling my insurance co they stated I was eligible for a tow from ANYONE if I payed, then was reimbursed up to $100. I called a local tow company in that area, a girl answered and seemed clueless that insurance companies do this type of thing. (Beware of a girl answering for a tow company because she is a horrible representative and ruining their business, if I had the info still on my phone I would post that business as well). I then searched local mechanic shops and found Stone s which was about 10 mins away. After a few times stopping to allow the car to cool down we arrived at Stones and there was two men there to help us immediately!! All of my coolant had leaked out from my radiator from a previous insurance claim from hitting a racoon (D s in Pekin, IL) a clamp was lose and I had lost all coolant from the radiator. Luckily we made it there safely without locking up the engine!! They were so nice even made us laugh a few times during our tough time. My children loved the chickens running on the land and were happy to get to run around a bit during our long 12 hr drive. I highly recommend this company to anyone!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Let's start this story with the fact that we're traveling from Iowa to Alabama so right there the shop had the ability to do bad things to us and screw us over but they did no such thing they treated us with honesty and great care nowadays when most mechanics do a diagnosis of what is wrong with your vehicle they charge you $75 to $150 just to diagnose it they told us that we would not charge you to diagnose it if we cannot repair it and most shops will charge you anyways needless to say they didn't even charge us for diagnosing it they fixed the small problem and charges a very low amount of money they should get 10 Stars not five you can tell by talking to him that he's an old school real mechanic by just the way he talks to youServices: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I m staying in Clarksville, TN at a local RV park. My toilet clogged and I spent five hours trying to unclog it myself. I called several RV places across the Nashville area, they said they wouldn t help because my RV is more than 10 years old. Defeated, I went to the office here at the park and they gave me Stones number. I called them and he said they would have someone come out to the park that same day. I left to run a few errands and left the key for them to enter (gave them permission to do this). I came back to an invoice on my step, an unclogged toilet, and my RV floors and bathroom were spotless, couldn t even tell someone was in here working. I simply called them to pay over the phone with my card. It was about $275, which to me, was WELL WORTH IT. Excellent customer service and they came to ME so I didn t have to drive my rig across town. Couldn t recommend more!!!

Solid place. Quick to answer their phone, friendly, and patient. They do all kinds of work and will let you bring in your own part but will not warranty the work. They got me in last minute and said most of the time they can start same day. They got started on my truck immediately. I dont recommend many places but if you're sure of what you want done this is a great place to go. I'll only be using them for any auto care from now on.

I can not say enough good things about this place. I'm originally from Maryland and have never had to take my car to a shop for repair besides having the transmission done. (My dad is a retired ASE certified master mechanic) I don't know anyone here except my daughter who's stationed here with the Army. I google "transmission shop, Oak grove KY" and found Stones auto. I Called and spoke with Toby about my car leaking transmission fluid, he said to come on over. (Leaking any kinds of fluids isn't good) Jim looked at it and found i needed a new transmission cooler line. GM discontinued this part. Toby called a connection he had a salvage yard, Got the part and put it on. While he was at it I asked him to install new ABS sensors (was told that's why the ABS lights were on) turns out it was actually a wheel bearing itself not the sensor. I asked if they install customer parts - yes they do. Ordered the part and waiting to arrive to take it to have that put on. Today I called because I noticed coolant dripping. Told me to come right over. Jim looked at it as soon as I got there. Showed there was nothing wet and explained when he replaced the cooler lines - it's runoff because the cooler lines connect to the radiator. While I was there asked about AC charging if I needed an appointment- nope - did it right there since I was there. Talked to Toby about my sunroof leak since it's going to rain four days straight don't want a repeat of what happened when it rained the weekend of 2/28. (Car was soaking wet inside even in the spare tire compartment) He said when I get the bearing and bring it in he'll take care of that. They even do body work, so I'll be going to them to have some minor things done. They don't nickel and dime you. They're an honest family business - which is hard to come by these days. Everyone is so polite and patient. They take their time to show you and explain the issues with your car. They answer any questions you have. Toby had his daughter Amanda drive me home so I could leave my car with him to do the transmission line since it would be awhile (my daughter got called back to work so she wasn't able to pick me up) I'm so glad I found Stone's. However long I'm in KY, this is my go-to place. I HIGHLY recommend Stones auto.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning

Toby, the owner, is the most dishonest and incompetent person, I have ever dealt with. His company charged us $300 to replace a leaking propane gas hose, that cost $15. We have Good Sam Warranty on our 5th Wheel and he didn t care. Then it took 5 weeks to order a part for my Air Conditioner and when it came in, it was the wrong part. Toby is 75, it s time for him to stop ripping people off. He only has one mobile repair person and his daughter runs the office. Go anywhere else.

Toby and crew are number one in my book. Don't let the country setting fool you, these guy's know how to get the job done. Kalib never lost his cool or sense of humor when the old truck fought him every step of the way. The local folks came with their campers ,cars, and trucks and left with smiles. Not as big as the one I had, because Toby made sure my wife and I found everything we needed for our three days there. He could have charged me allot more when the job required more time, but he didn't. Even the tow truck driver said I was in good hands when he dropped us off. I made some really good friends here and plan to stop back just to say hi !!!!

Called to have my Fifth Wheel checked out for some issues and also to have it winterized. They got me right in where as the place we normally take the camper was only doing work for their sales department and was booked for months. They fixed all the issues and winterized the camper with ZERO issues. Not a parts place but if you need something worked on, they will take care of you at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. I would rather support this family owned business that going to a large chain place that doesn't care a bit about the little guy. Thanks!!!

Okay so I'm going to share a few experiences and this review will be lengthy due to that.I came to them on the recommendation of a friend who told me they do good work. I needed a new water pump on my 2005 Malibu, they didn't have the special tool to remove the piece safely so I had to wait an extra couple of days. However they were able to still bring it in under the quote by about $60 dollars. Thumbs up.Next I had them replace my water pump on a minivan. Also good, within budget. In April I had the same van towed there due to overheating issues. This has become an ordeal for my family. A tale of lies, delays and work improperly done that has ended up so far costing us about 8 months, almost $3000 and counting to fix! At this point the engine is leaking like a sieve from around four or five places where two separate mechanic shops both told me it was improperly fixed.I'm torn by my experiences here, on the one hand they did great on alot of the smaller work, they were kind and even let us borrow a vehicle when we absolutely couldn't be without one. On the other hand for the big job, which this has turned out to be, I felt tremendously lied to and deceived. So to finish this thank you Toby for trying to make things better as much as you can. Thank you Bill for your assistance. I will likely never come back here for work again because of this ordeal.Summary: great on quick smaller jobs, swapping water pumps, heater cores, and other such work. Wouldn't trust them for big jobs anymore.

I have used this Family Owned and Operated business for 15 Years. They are Honest and dependable and reasonable in estimates. As with any estimate that is exactly what it is and estimate. It is no fault of the shop owner if while they are repairing a problem and they find another issue. Better they keep you informed of a potential problem instead of you breaking down and finding yourself stranded. I appreciate them looking out for their loyal customer base.

I still can't think about this garage without getting upset. While driving on the highway my timing belt broke and I have a "No tolerance" or "Interference Engine".I will say that now....and then I will explain what I knew at the time.I had everything I owned in my car and small trailer. I had just left my job and was on the first day of a 3 day drive. While driving my gas pedal stopped making the car accelerate. I pulled over on the side of the highway and turned off the car to look expecting pouring fluids or something...nothing, but the car would not turn over.Sunday before Memorial Day. I had to find a tow truck that would also take my camper. And also a car shop. The driver recommended Stones and me not knowing the area or how much they would try to scam me I said okay. I should have known when the guy who took my keys spend at least 3-5 minutes trying to convince me that I put Diesel in my gas tank. (I did NOT do this, just so you know. Because I am not a complete idiot)Through no fault of theirs it had to sit for 2 days. Sunday as they were closed and also Monday as it was Memorial Day. Tuesday morning comes and the man at the shop calls me and says Good news, Its the timing belt. The tensioners locked up can broke the belt. Unfortunately, I will also have to replace the water pump as they are a package deal. However, they could have it done by later that same day and I could be on the road. It would cost $875. So on day 3 in Oak Grove Kentucky I said! Yes if it means I can get going, it is what I have to do! And then stupid me THANKED them! Then I called my boss who was already holding my job for me that I would be on the road first thing in the morning!Somewhere around 3pm I got a call back. And the mechanic starts using technical terms for a few minutes. Then he says it "Needs a rebuild" and I said what does that mean and that is when he came out and said the broken belt caused my pistons and such to slam into my cylinders and it caused them to lose compression. They would have to rebuild my engine. And it would be at least another $2000. Then they proceeded to tell me my car is only worth $2,900-3,500 trade in value working and it is not worth it to fix it. When I asked why they couldn't tell the damage had been done the man literally told me there was "No way to know until after they had replaced the timing belt and everything else"I was a mess after I got off the phone with him. I was broke down in the middle of Kentucky with everything I own, my dog, in a hotel and I had no way to get out of there. I posted about what happened (Not knowing I was being screwed still!) on Facebook to my friends. Instantly 2 mechanic friends called me! They filled me in. If you are going over like 40 MPH and your timing belt breaks on an interference engine, any mechanic should know that the engine is pretty much hamburger. Chewed up and damaged. They fact that they didn't even check it from other mechanics is "INSANE" and "They are taking advantage of you!".By the way, at this point the mechanic still wanted full payment for the $875 in work that shouldn't have even been done because they should have looked at the engine FIRST!After multiple phone calls and the agreement of me GIVING them my car, I still had to pay them $200 so I could get my belongings out of my car.I was a woman who went to an unfamiliar shop in a HUGE time of need and all they saw were DOLLAR SIGNS! DO NOT GO HERE AS A SINGLE WOMAN!!! I was STRANDED, Unfamiliar with the area and STILL I wish I had paid more money for the tow truck driver to have taken me ANYWHERE ELSE!These guys are SCAM ARTISTS!

Had to be towed in after hours. Got us in first thing in the morning and fixed up quickly. Great price. Could have gouged us, as we were traveling and in a hurry. Very nice people. Would recommend them.

They got us in and tried to get us out quick. No fault of this business. They were friendly and honest. The prices were cheap. It may not be a Camping world but they will treat you better and get you the best deal.

I did not get a written estimate so partly my fault. But they verbally quoted on price but exceeded it by about $100 without calling.Otherwise, excellent workmanship. On a previous job they came in $100 under the verbal estimate. So, if you do choose to use Stones, Make sure you get a written quote and make sure you stress they must call if they exceed the quote even a verbal one.

On a road trip to Tennessee all four brakes on our RV fifth wheel failed we were camping at Clarksville RV in their brochure there were several RV repair shops the only one that returned my call was stones he got us in immediately the same day went and picked up the parts we needed let us stay overnight in their campground At 8 o clock sharp the next morning Jim the mechanic was up at our campsite to install all four brakes for us they had the job done and we are back on the road by noon Jim is a highly skilled very conscientious mechanic I would definitely go back if we lived in Kentucky unfortunately we live in Springfield Missouri I have yet to find a local shop with that good service FRANK and Kathy CervellereService: General repairs & maintenance

Couple days ago .. I was on trip in my RV and the right front brake caliper froze and the Clarksville RV parts recommended Stones .. we limped my RV to Stones and the staff worked us onto their busy schedule . I actually thought I would need a new caliper, pads and possibly a rotor .. the mechanic and the boss inspected and determined that the caliper pins and pad slides had a lot corrosion and caused the pad to stick and the caliper and pads were in great shape and did not require replacement just cleaning and lubricating .. I want to thank the staff at Stones for their hard work in 90 degree heat on my RV and being honest with me.. they helped return me back enjoying my mini vacation in just couple hours with minimum cost.

BEWARE!! THIS PLACE IS NO WHERE NEAR WHERE GOOGLE HAS IT LISTED AND IS A ROYAL PITA TO FIND. Almost no parts on sight. Called n called n FINALLY AFTER CLOSE TO 40 MINUTES later found this dump, I received Jed Clampetts revenge from this crap hole. Charged me 96 bucks ( instead of the estimated $40 that was quoted on the phone) for replacing the headlights n 20 min of work. That's almost 100% mark up on parts!!! N 53 in labor?!?! NEVER AGAIN
