Unfortunately 0 stars wasn t an option. We had an incident on our property today where a driver, unable to get proper access to a vehicle, wrapped a cable around a tree to get a better angle. In the process, he s having the minor child of the woman being towed assist him in this process. This location is at least 6 over a creek bed, with steep inclines.Driver cranks the winch, down comes the tree on top the van, nearly hitting the woman. Windshield busted, roof caved in, van even more stuck. Our home s power & cable lines down.At no point did the driver express any remorse or responsibility. When this was beginning, I was more than empathetic of the situation. However, it then became my responsibility to cut & remove the fallen tree from the vehicle. At no point in time did this individual provide any kind of assistance or even gratitude for taking care of the problems he caused. No supervisor or manager or anyone came to provide assistance or any kind of apologies.Things got heated, words were exchanged, and eventually he threatened to drive his tow truck into my vehicle after he was done getting the van on the truck.Their reviews are abysmal and nothing will change on their end, from a service perspective. When we called their phone number to detail the situation, the line was it was an act of god and the tree was rotten .To me, it was an act of ignorance and poor judgment from the beginning. If the tree was rotten, why would you try to use a cable to winch a van?Just wanted to add my story to the chorus of others. If you have the choice, avoid Fender s.

This place is a joke! They kick you while you re down! They charged me 95$ for a tow 4 blocks away and then proceeded to charge me 25 for that same day and each additional day even though they were technically closed the first day and I couldn t get it towed out of there! Then every day after when I called to get a price, they were never in the office so they only gave me a quote. When the other tow truck showed up to get my car it was unlocked and not even parked in a parking spot. They charged me 276$ for a tow on Sunday and I got it out on Thursday morning. When I called they said 50$ of the bill was a labor fee . No labor had been done so I asked what labor and wasn t provided with an explanation. All I got was maybe they had to pick things up, but I d have to ask the driver ! No parts fell off my car so that s a big NO!! I still haven t received an explanation for that 50$ and fully intend on going to small claims court to get it back! Also, the man in the office when I went there to drop off the key and paperwork was very unprofessional and took his time getting off the phone to greet me then proceeded to tell me how my daughter was acting after she wrecked my car! He informed me she was laughing, which clearly upset him! Mind you she s a 17 year old child who has never been through anything like this before and was diagnosed later with a concussion!! So honestly, I m glad I taught my daughter to see the good in life! She wasn t too badly injured and was glad to be walking away, even without a vehicle! Just to recap, if I had a choice I never would ve had them tow my vehicle in the first place! Do what s best for you and take your vehicle elsewhere!!

Do not use. Called these guys because they were close by. The woman told me she was sending someone and would be there in a few minutes. I called several times and was told they were just a few minutes away. Two hours later when I called to cancel she huffed and hung up on me.Use AJ's towing in Fort Thomas much faster and better service.

Called to get our van unlocked from the parking garage. Came to grips with paying the $80 but then they said they couldn t come until tomorrow. The truck was too tall to enter the garage. Guess the driver can t carry a slim jim into the garage? One star, didn t really attempt to help.Service: Car lockoutsService: Car lockouts

They are pretty good at what they do. Got a good running gem of an Acura that otherwise would have been at a junkyard wasting away now it's in service for professional delivery work. Steve S. Is a pro at this work he's been doing driving and service as long as I've known him.

Kinda hard to judge them fairly as my interaction with them was getting my car after it had been towed. But like.. they're just doing their jobs, right? It's not fair to take it out on them or their reviews.BUT I also can't quite bring myself to give them five stars because no matter what they charge it's gonna feel like too much. You know what I mean?

ZERO STARS - I had my car towed to fenders because it was the closest place to where my car was totaled. When I went back to get my belongings out of my car, the people at fenders had already gone through my car and taken my belongings. I confronted them and they laughed in my face. I went and made a police report about my missing belongings.Fast forward to this week. Insurance has tried to get access to my car and Fenders is lying to them saying they have NO record of my car being there. Then, after being contacted by police, their story changed. Now they magically have my car and never lost it.Investigations are still being made on Fenders and I will update my review when it is done.Service: Car towing

Very friendly, family owned company. Many people do not understand the ins and outs of running/operating a towing business. EVERYTHING is always your fault. If someone is involved in an accident, they are stressed, shook up and aggravated but if your patient so is Fenders. Police have them tow your vehicles, they are asked to do so by the police departments so it's not like they go looking for vehicles to just pick and tow. Please just be patient and you will find that this company is not only loyal, but very helpful.

If I could give a minus star I would. They are the most horrible business service I had ever had to use in my life. I was in a wreck on Thursday on the highway. The police had them towed my car and they told me it was at 900 of block in Newport. I finally found where my car was. I talked to the lady that was in the office. She is very nasty and unhelpful. All she wanted was just to find the way to keep your car longer there and wouldn't release the car to the owner even you have the title under your name. She will find the way to charge you extra for whatever she can. The price will never make sense to you. DON'T RISK YOURSELF IN ANY CASE TO USE THEIR SERVICE!

Patient and honest! They accidentally over charged me but they called me as soon as they realized the mistake to give me a refund. Very patient with me when they arrived but I was waiting on my ride to get there. Being broke down on the interstate was a very stressful situation for me but the patience of the tow truck driver was very appreciated as I figured everything out.Service: Car towing

Great driver, great price. Took a little longer for tow truck to arrive maybe 45 minutes late but that should be expected and understood, traffic, weather, lunch ect. So I give them 5 stars....... 8 months later Just used fenders again for the second time and once again great quick professional service. Totally satisfied with service and price, couldn't ask for more. Great job 5 stars once again.

Worst customer service ever. The man that I would assume runs the place answered when we called to find out if they could do the work needed if we had the vehicle towed there. He told us he would look at it so we decided to tow it there and offered him our contact info, he declined and said he would receive our info from the tow truck driver. We told them we would be expecting a call with an estimate but that we wanted them to proceed with any work necessary. 4 days later... we had not received a call. So I called and he was rude and nasty about having our vehicle all week without any contact info. When he was the one who refused to take our info over the phone in the first place. Needless to say, I put him in his place and we will NEVER RETURN. The place is a dump anyhow and in a sketchy location.

Never again will I call for a tow again! Got it done in 45 minutes using Gary from Newport. Fenders had me waiting over 5 hours and still no call ahead. Called and told them I found a faster tow. Was told it would be an hour twice.

Completely professional... I watched Steve load my SUV up in the most sufficient way. The dispatcher was very pleasant. If I ever need another tow, I'm going to request Fenders. Thank you for getting me, and my auto home safely.

Terrible ass company by far. I got my car towed for the parking pass falling on the passenger side floor which is kinda understandable. I call down to verify they have the vehicle the lady says "yea what about it." After telling me to bring in 150 she hangs up, didn't give me an address, neighborhood, nothing so I ended up calling back. I give her 150 in cash and asks her to write up the receipt to turn over the vehicle. she tells me no since I don't have an ID, only because it's in the vehicle. After refusing to move forward with the process she denies walking me back to the vehicle to retain the ID. I took the liberty of doing it my self with the 150 on the counter. Per my girlfriend the employee calls police says" there is a black guy trying to take his car with out paying." Before you know it I'm in the lot locked in two cruisers on the opposite side of the fence. What a wonderful way to start a Friday.

Can't believe what just happened.I called for a towing service through Verizon Roadside Assistance. They were sending a tow from Fender's Wrecker Service in Newport, KY.Said the wait would be 60 minutes. After I waited until over 90 minutes (1 1/2 hours), I called Fenders to see where the driver was. She said he was "on his way and should be there any second".15 more minutes and still not here. I called Fenders back. She said "he is on his way and should be there any second". I asked if he couldn't make it, should I get another service. Her immediate response was "I'm cancelling the service" I said not to cancel, I still need the tow, just want to know if he is going to get here.Again, she said "I'm cancelling. You said you were getting another service."I said I still need a tow and don't cancel. I will call verizon and they can handle it.She again, said "I'm cancelling" and hung up.So, here I am more than 2 hours later with no tow. Are you kidding me?Was I frustrated? You bet. But never unreasonable or irate. She, on the other hand was very short with me and rude, did not try to handle the situation or even understand my perspective sitting with my car waiting for over 2 hours.Called Verizon. They said they got the cancellation and Fenders told them I cancelled. Not true.Filled out a complaint with verizon.Sending another service. Verizon was great.ABC Towing showed up within 20 minutes. Driver was great. Service was outstanding.Guess who you should never use for towing? And, by the way, after telling many people about my horrible experience with Fenders, I found out that this is not uncommon with them. Please just don't "take it" when you get bad service. There are many good, honest and ethical people that want your business. Stand up to the one's who treat you terrible and support the one's that do a great job! And let people know both ways.

Called my insurance insurance company, Geico, and they stated I was covered up to 26 miles with my roadside assistance coverage and that the car would be picked up within the hour (called in @ 11:10). About 15 minutes later, I was called by Fender's Wrecker Service dispatcher to sell me repair services on my vehicle which I declined. I then asked the dispatcher if I should leave work now to meet the driver? She replied yes. I left work and went home...the tow truck operator did not show up for over an hour (12:40).Then after the vehicle was delivered, I was contacted by the driver to cover the overage charges. According to Google, the mileage to the location I chose to have the vehicle delivered was 27.4 miles, so I expected some overage. However, the driver stated it took 36 miles. I asked which route he took and he took the highway route prescribed by Google. I can understand some overage, but 8.5 miles (or 33% more) is excessive and feels like I was taken advantage of.I called the office and spoke to the owner to ask how her driver could have such a discrepancy? Her response was sites like Google and Mapquest are not very accurate...hmmmm I then offered to split the difference in miles, which she declined. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere.

They were very unprofessional. They had a child there touching everything after touching his eyes without washing his hands. All while talking about his pink eye and how it was oozing and he needed more medicine. Seemed really sketchy that I had to have $150 cash to get my car. Why does it have to be cash? No paper trail so they can make more money? Just don't willingly go here on your own free will, you'll regret it.

Terrible and unbelievable experience. Called for roadside assistance to change a flat tire since they were nearby. They damaged the expensive alloy wheel in several places, and the wheel lugs. The carelessness was incredible. I should have read the reviews before calling.

Terrible people, they threatened me with violence when i tried to get my personal belongings from the vehicle. They lied to me about the law, they knew i had personal items in the car & yet they tried there best to steal my belongings just because they towed my vehicle. Will hopefully be suing them ASAP! Any Lawyers interested in a slam dunk?

My vehicle was involved in a pretty bad accident, while parked in Newport. Being an Ohio resident I am not familiar with any local services, and I must say Fender's was great. I did not have to wait for the tow company and the driver was very friendly. Met one of the representatives when I went to pick up my things and she was wonderful!Hopefully your vehicle is not involved in an accident, but if it is in the Newport, KT area I suggest calling Fender's. This would have been a pain without them!

I am a car dealer in Ohio. I called to have to ask if they would pick up and secure one of my customers broken down vehicles, and then I would make arrangements to pick it up and get it back to Ohio. The lady who answered the phone was rude and inconsiderate. She asked me to pay for the tow before they actually towed anything and I insisted on paying after our vehicle was secure in their location, meanwhile she decides to tell me to have a good day and hanged up on me.
