Check his B.B.B Scam alert if you use this business for transmission work. He will never honor his warranties. He will always try to get extra cash out of you. He will make up issues so so if you use his services after reading this you have no excuses. Trying to warn everyone and And save them some big trouble in the long run this man will. Do you completely wrong discount transmission/Bender's towing? You will eventually have to take this man to court. Please go to a different location. If you can't afford to take someone to court please don't use this lo can't afford to be without your car. Please don't lose this lopatient if you don't want to get your car back. I was referred her by another local car place since I had transmission issues. He told me to come right in. I brought the car, he test drove it, looked at it and I needed a transmission. I did know this for some time but avoided it. He told me one price and I agreed. He gave me an eta of maybe a week if he had the parts. It took a week and two days and I was shocked. So quick.My car runs great and I am very happy. Everyone I encountered was very nice. For sure a go to spot for transmissions.Service: Transmission

At least 5 of the reviews with 5 stars are literally owner bennys friends and employees.I was refereed to them by another shop. I called Benny about a transmission rebuild. He priced me at $950 to rebuild a dropped off trans. I dropped it off, he said it would be done in 2 days. He was absolutely correct 2 days later i picked up my trans. I asked about the warranty & he said 6 months or 6000 miles. I said ok. I left & had the trans. installed professionally & paid the tech $275 to install my newly rebuilt transmission from Discount transmissions in Newport KY. I drove the Van I installed in into for about 3 days & it drove seemingly great. On the 4th day I got into the van & drove about 1/2 mile & it wouldn't shift, so i went straight to a gas station, checked the fluid with the van running & it was at perfect fluid capacity. I called my trans. installer & he said he will come now to check it out. He checked the MAP sensor it was good, he scanned the van & found a code for the transmission. I called Benny at discount transmissions & he said he will come & get it right away. No one called me at all about the van which is my daily driver. I called he said call back. I called back he said that 3rd gear was gone. (only 4 days into the NEWLY REBUILT trans.) He then told me that he has to charge me $400.00 TO TAKE OUT THE TRANS HE DID NOT FIX & FIX IT THEN REINSTALL IT. Scammed on a dropped of trans that he new I would have to pay him to put back in or be liable for R&R if his work is faulty. HE DID NOT offer to install the trans. so that if his work was faulty he could avoid charging me for R&R (removal & replacement). Since he does transmissions all day every day he knows how this works over time & he can profit more by not telling you about the details rendering your warranty useless. I could have paid him for the installation of his product instead of the different installer i did pay & I wouldn't be paying him $400 to fix his own screw-up.

My son has major transmission problems so i know we are going straight to Discount Transmission. They rebuilt my other sons 01 Bravada transmission 4 1/2 years ago and its still taking the beating that he gives it. Hoping we get a great deal again!

Transmission started leaking about a month after it was rebuilt. Has also refused to provide paperwork showing that he even worked on it. Overall I'd recommend you go somewhere that is reputable over here.

This was my first experience with a transmission problem and was worried to find out that my regular trusted mechanic didn't do transmission work. I picked Discount Transmission because it was close to my house. I was worried since I didn't know them and becasue transmission work can be expensive. Well, my worries went away because they were honest, friendly and got my Honda Element back on the road in a day. It turned out to be a wiring issue and he took the time to show me the frayed wires and explain to me what happened. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgable and honest transmission place!

Terrible customer service. The woman who was your CSR (or answering phones) Friday, Jan. 19 around 4:30 was rude and nasty. She had a disgusting attitude. This business needs to focus on hiring and training their staff how to provide people with better service and with respect.

They rebuilt a transmission for one of our work vehicles they were very reliable and did an awesome job and only had the van for three days I'm very happy with the service and the price was very reasonable

My car has been there 3 times in 3 months and still not fixed. The guy is trying to say my car was already like that, no it wasn't. He's just trying to get money out of my warranty company. And bad customer service period!
