Everyone was nice but they wanted to charge me almost $560 to replace a hose when my car broke down. It costs less money to rent a dolly and tow it 150 miles myself and have my town mechanic fix the issue. I saved almost $300.

This is the spot everyone needs to start dealing with in the Newport, Bellevue and Covington areas. Used to go to Midas until one of their mechanics lied to me. This establishment is modern, with a very well put together crew, and they take great care of your vehicle. Be here for all of my cars needs from now on.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!. Definitely go here!!!! Absolutely amazing. No, PHENOMENAL !!!!! I couldn't thank these guys more. Scott, the manager, and his crew really took care of me. They had to fix everything attached to one of my tires(stupid semis swerving out of their lane.)These guys went over and beyond for me. After my repairs I still had to get a new rim and tire. Figured why not just get a rIm at the junkyard. I took my car to Michel Tires Plus, in Fort Thomas Kentucky. I have used them before so I figured I'd be safe. Something felt wrong after the out it on, so I took it back here to AAA. Scott informed me that the rim that I brought them was not for my car. That it was extremely dangerous that I was even driving on it. He wouldn't even let me leave with it on. So Michel Tires Plus let me leave their lot knowing something could happen to me. I am so thankful for going to AAA. If it wasn't for them I could have kept driving on that rim and it have fallen off leading to another accident. Scott even went the extra mile. I finally got a new rim and he generously put the tire on the rim and attached it to my car. Also did another once over of the other tires. Thank you so much you guys. It feels really good to be safe again. Again, if you help with your car GO HERE! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Had my car towed car up and they did a great job.Had no ideal if your a AAA member you get a first class service .If your car gets towed there in a hour they will let you know the cost and the problem.Had no ideal about that service offer in tell i called my AAA plan.Here I was calling around to get my car fixed.Please let more people know or advertise it.what a pleasant thing to have and know now.

This place has been nothing but amazing and fair. The service is great, they get you in and out quickly and have excellent communication. As a woman, finding trustworthy auto shops is difficult, and this one is 10/10 amazing. The staff is friendly, polite, honest, and fair. I will be recommending them to my friends.

These guys were great. Honored the road hazard and got me in and done! Super friendly and helpful. Apparently not all Bob Sumerel's have to honor warranties. Rest assured the crew in Newport will get you back on the road with no hassle! Thank you guys sooooo much!

Called AAA to repair a blow out on a new tire that was recently purchased at Bob Sumeral in Newport. AAA service was excellent.The car was dropped off on Tuesday. Sean behind the counter did not give good customer service and told us he couldn t get in to his computer at that time to give us a quote. My husband called before closing and Sean said he could get the tire in a day. We didn t hear from him on Wednesday. My husband called on Thursday and Sean said the tire would arrive Friday. We called on Saturday and Sean said it would be Monday orTuesday. This whole time we never received an apology or explanation. We picked up the car on Saturday to take it to a more competent place. My daughter drove the car to the new place and realized that Bob Sumeral still had her tire and rim. We go back to pick up the rim and the gentleman with dark hair and beard said here to my 90 lb. Daughter and expected her to carry the tire and rim out to the car and lift it into the back. Terrible customer service. I am a 62 year old woman who just had cancer and both breasts removed .I had to go lift it into the car. My husband used to sell insurance at AAA/Bob Sumeral in Newport, but obviously they are lacking in good customer service skills today. We will no longer do business there!!!!!

I just realized I never rated my experience here. When I moved to the area, this was the place people recommended for car maintenance and repairs. However, after several routine visits, there always seemed to be another new issue to appear. Things got worse when I had a major replacement done. Not only was I told one price but charged another (major difference), a store worker was mocking me in front of his boss, calling me a liar and talked about how ignorant I was because I didn't know how expensive a specific car part was. I'm not a car person at all so of course I felt shamed. This incident happened maybe 3-4 years ago and I've never been back since. I just hope that employee is still no longer employed.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I purchased an auto policy through your insurance rep Brandon Back (via AAA/Safeco) 2 years ago. Recently I was contacted by the company informing me my rates were going up. I first contacted Brandon via email to inquire on what I could do to get my rate back down. After a few days, I called and left a voice message. several days later he got back to me (over a week total) and said we needed to wait to get closer to the auto renew date on my policy before we could do anything.Once that happened I reached out again via email. No response. I called and left a voicemail a week later - no response. I called several days later again and still no response.I then called the safeco 800 number and got to someone who was able to answer a few simple questions for me - took all of 5 minutes.Long story short I shopped for another insurance vendor and saved myself almost $200 on the same exact policy through Mr Brandon/AAA/safeco. To be honest, had Brandon gotten back to me with any response at all, I probably would have renewed even at the higher rate just out of convenience - however because Brandon chose not to respond to my simple inquiry, I decided to spend my $$ with another company. Bad customer service has its consequences. Hopefully this feedback will not go unnoticed.

DO NOT GO HERE!! My car wouldn't start one day so I called triple aaa and I have a classic membership which gives me a 5 mile radius so I had my car brought here instead of my normal mechanic. They told me my car was throwing two codes that would cause the issue with it not running, 1 for my mass air sensor and 1 for something else that I don't remember the same of. They fixed the issue with mass air sensor, and $215 later my car still was not running, so they told me my fuel pump had gone bad and that would cost another $500+ to fix. I was a little nervous about this so I consulted my normal mechanic and they had me tow my car there. After they thoroughly looked at it, they determined the only thing wrong with my car was that my fuel gauge was broken and I needed gas. Super super annoyed that Bob Sumerel tried to take advantage of a young girl with 0 car knowledge and I am SO SO thankful that for my normal mechanic not doing that. After towing cost I saved over $300.

Went here for oil change. The service rep was very friendly and very quick getting my car in. The mechanic was very good and got my vehicle done quickly. Recommend the AAA

I recommend NEVER using this mechanic. They pay 0 attention to detail, will jack up a quote if they miss something, and will make every excuse to put the mistake on their customers. The place is an assembly line churning and burning out lackadaisical diagnostics and fixes. The managers happily send you away in a halfway working car which could kill someone and if you bring it back they blame the car and charge you for more insane labor rates. I have never experienced more excuses lack of attention to detail from a business. It is WORTH IT to take your car somewhere else even if you have triple a which I do. Save yourself a headache and go somewhere else!!!

Wonderful experience! No wait. Jim brought my vehicle into the work area. Technician analyzed the problem and filled tires with air. Dashboard light went off immediately. My thanks to them both for their care.

My car is seven years old and I have always taken it to the Newport location for service.They have never tried to upsell or get me to have any service done until they show and explain what needs to be done and if it has to be done now or later. They are always professional and prompt.As a senior female I really appreciate the honest GREAT service I receive!I don't know most of their names except for Bobby who is always nice and personable with the staff and customer's.I thought after seven years I should let them know what a great job they do and how much I appreciate the service I receive.Sincerely,Linda Stiemetz

Very disappointed with this past visit. I had previously used this location for other work. After having two tires replaced, oil change and realignment (Appx $800).... I drove the vehicle home (2 miles). I wake up the next morning to go to work and the battery is DEAD? Coinsidence? I called to ask them about having it looked at and replaced.... They said it would cost me over $250.... I went across the street to Auto Zone and had it replaced for $130 and received a 3 year warranty.

I worked with Gabriella at the AAA store in this location. The service was wonderful! She gave me information books, some relevant magazines of the area I am travelling to and discussed the QR code for further information on my phone. I was thrilled and grateful that they still offer services to help me plan a trip and not just the peace of mind of roadside assistance. Thank you, AAA.

I tried to give this place the opportunity to fix the issue but all they could do was offer an apology for my inconvenience. On 8/9/17, I brought my car in because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. The customer service rep was very courteous and got me checked in with no problems. This is where my satisfaction with my experience at this place stops. I was told that the leak in my tire could not be fixed and that the tire would have to be replaced. I was quoted a price for what I thought was the exact same tire that I currently have on my vehicle. After the work was completed, as I was getting ready to leave, I checked the tire that they had replaced and there was a brand of tire put on my car that did not match with what is currently on my car. I spoke with the customer service rep and he informed me that they did not have the tire that I needed in stock (I needed to know this before they proceeded to replace the tire so that I could go somewhere else). It would have to be sent from their warehouse and my car would be ready later on that day. I was told I would receive a call to let me know the status. The rep offered to cover the 15 dollar mark up for my tire (Even though I'd had another tire replaced on my car and just happened to have the work done at another Bob Sumerel location where the price for the exact same tire was cheaper).I received no call that day to let me know that my car wasn't going to be ready so that I could make other arrangements. I called first thing the next morning because I still hadn't been informed of what was going on with my car. I was told that the tire would be delivered shortly and they would be ready for me to pick it up in about an hour. When I got there to pick up my car, I voiced my displeasure and spoke about the inconveniences that were caused ie. missing time at work, having to find alternative transportation to and from work, having to find alternative transportation to and from the Bob Sumerel location. All I got was an apology and a promise to talk to their staff so that it didn't happen again.I also called AAA corporate headquarters to voice my displeasure. The gentlemen who they transferred me to was not very friendly when he answered the phone. He was also unable to offer anything other than an apology and the advice to go price the tire with tire discounters and if I could find the tire cheaper they would pay the difference. I called tire discounters and the tire that Bob Sumerel charges 155 for was only 127 dollars.Moral of the story.... Check with the service rep to make sure that they have the tire you need in stock before they inspect your car. Don't assume that the price quoted to you is for the same tires that you currently have on your car. TAKE YOUR CAR SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

The absolute worst Bob Sumerel ever. Took my car to get checked why it was smelling like gas. I happened to accidentally leave my oil cap off when I changed my oil myself (my fault). However, they degreased my engine, and right when I picked it up, it started running weird and having trouble picking up speed. Two-three days later, my car broke down in the middle of the highway. The Bob Sumerel in Alexandria confirmed that Newport Bob Sumerel sprayed degreaser on my spark plugs which was causing engine issues. They are completely incompetent at Newport Bob Sumerel. Not to mention, a few months back, my brothers had his breaks changed, and right when he left, they caught on fire. I would not recommend this place. They scam you for your money and do not care about anybody s safety.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Terrible experience with this place. They told me the radiator hose needed repair and that I had an oil leak in the engine. I paid $694 for repairs only to have the car break down the next day. They then told me that the gasket blew. To make matters worse when they charged me they transposed the numbers taking $964 out of my bank account and requested I come back in several days to have the correct charges placed. I had to have the car towed to a different mechanic at my expense, $125, because they weren't sure if they had the ability to fix the gasket. A

They changed out a spare to replace a tire. When I opened my trunk the spare was not replaced to where it should be but thrown on top of my belongings. Also never checked all tire pressure with my oil change because it s 6 PSI lower than the others. Zero F s given with this places workers and no cross check. You should be ashamed.

This place is horrible!!!! I took my car in for 2 new tires and an alignment. When I left the car still wasn't aligned so I took it back the next day and again alignment was off, they did it again and let me leave, still not right. I took it to a different place and my steering rack had no bolts in it and they Broke my valve stems!!!! How do you align a car and not notice that? Then the manger was More worried about answering the phone then talking to me!

The AAA tow truck driver and the other service person who came to my rescue were wonderful! They told me to Bob Sumerel. Tires were a bit pricey, and they tried to sell me four instead of the two I needed, but overall they were good.

I went here because I had previous experience with Bob Sumerall to have the AC checked out on my van. The mechanics spent nearly two hours checking several things and then told me my options and the approximate cost of the repair. Since the van is 20 years old I decided the cost was too high and they agreed with me. Honest mechanics are hard to find. Then I asked what was the charge for the thorough inspection and I was told "Nothing"! If you want my opinion Bob Sumerall is THE place to take your vehicle for whatever you need.

I have had my car serviced here since I moved to Cincinnati 2 years ago and so far, have only positive things to say about this place! After I bought my tires they sent me a trial AAA membership which has come in handy AND you receive a discount at the store with the card. Today on my way to work I realized that I had a flat tire and there was a winter storm on the way. I was able to put on the spare and when I called the store they were able to get me in right away to fix the tire. While I was waiting for my car I asked if I had time to run next door to get some coffee and the man at the service desk made me a fresh pot and restocked the counter. Another very helpful employee helped me get started with my passport registration.( I don't have names of the employees but if they're boss's are reading this feel free to contact me and I will describe them) I came into the store basically in tears and couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out today.

I Purchased 4 tires and road hazards for my tires,after about a year I noticed I had a small leak in one of my tires. I went to one store and called 2 other stores and they said they could not get me in or look at it for 6 days. I told them that this is a safety risk and it was unacceptable I had to wait that long for a small leak he basically told me it's not his problem. I would not recommend going here at all for anything. They were also jerks when I bought the tires because I showed up an hour and a half before they closed. This place is a mis manage joke.

I called for a quote on getting my transmission fluid changed, since Valvoline told me it was dirty. I was advised not to get it done if nothing was wrong, because it might cause problems. They turned away money to do what was right for my car. That's what I need from an establishment. Integrity and knowledge. I'll go there now if anything actually does go wrong, since they were honest.

I brought my vehicle in first customer of the day. I was told it would get looked at right away. Several hours later I came back and it still wasn't looked at. The employee said I was the next ticket and about a half hour later I was called and told I would have to wait until Monday it was a holiday weekend. Monday comes around and I dont here from anyone until late in the day and was told I will have to wait till Tuesday for more parts. Tuesday comes around I dont here from them until close to closing that my vehicle is ready. I am very disappointed with my experience.
