Three trips and thousands of dollars spent to fix the same problem that kept reoccurring after it was supposedly fixed by Springdale. Each time all they did was throw parts at the problem. The last time with the same fault codes, they charged another diagnostic fee and provided another ridiculous estimate wanting me to throw even more parts at the problem.when I said I was going to get another shop to give me a second opinion and I didn t think the fee was justified since they hadn t fixed the issue, the CSR was extremely rude and disrespectful. I won t be back. They are overpriced, unable to properly diagnose and fix issues and are rude when paying customers expect them to honor their labor warranty. AVOID.2/29/2024 follow up. Went to the Dealership today to get this fixed once and for all. They replaced the gas cap ($30)...Problem solved. Tells me that Springdale Auto has no idea what they are doing or more likely they are ripping customers off deliberately. Again...AVOID!

I have found my place to get my vehicles repaired. The Springdale folks were successful in removing the "Check Engine" light from my Mini Cooper where BMW of Louisville failed flatly. It is my understanding that BMW of Louisville no longer service Mini Coopers. That is a VERY good decision on their part. I spent a whopping $4,500 on two visits and lost the use of my vehicle for a year. Went in for some repairs that i needed done (after not being at all satisfied with the last shop i visited) and Springdale not only fixed my car but also found another very serious and potentially dangerous issue (that the last shop completely failed to do) and fixed that as well. Very afforable and super easy to communicate with. 10/10 will come back in the future if i need things done. Springdale rules.

I could not reach my hand enough to change my headlights. I brought my own new headlight bulbs and had them replace both (15 total minutes of labor). Charged me $80. Oh, but on the bright side, they aired up my tires for me. Great, thanks.

Excellent facility, highly knowledgeable staff, expert care!What more can one ask for?I brought my recently purchased 91 Jaguar XJS (5.3L) in for an initial inspection & any required follow-up service required after various other import specialized shops simply balked @ the challenge.Dave Roberts & his team of mechanics simply knocked it out the park.Sold!!As an extra measure of reassurance when I pulled up to drop my vehicle off I viewed 2 other classic Jaguar s in the lot getting serviced as well alongside a classic Mercedes.C est Magnifique!!

2007 Mercury Montego Premier has always been garaged. My brother bought it brand new. I've had the Merc for almost 4 years. Great service by Springdale. Alternator and transmission replacement required due to 215,600 miles. I drove it away from Springdale on Friday October 7 with windows down and sunroof open. Sounds exaggerated, but it "drives-like-new". Taxable value $2,000. Repair cost $6,900, money well spent for a fine 15 year old car, that will service me and my family for many years to come, thanks to Candy and the technicians.Services: Electrical repair, Transmission replacement, Oil change

I've taken my Beemers to Stein for about 7 years now. Every experience is consistently great. Their work is top-notch. Their customer service is an added value. These guys are the best. With Stein, you get Dealer quality labor without the Dealer elitist attitudes that make you dread servicing your vehicle. Their work is guaranteed and they stand behind every job they do. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else in Louisville. This is the place. Trust me.

Fantastic service both in-person and with the car. Drop off and pickup is quick and painless. I love the text status updates you get when the service is being performed! The alignment I had done was perfect. The car drives much better. The only downside is that service took quite a bit of time. Oil change was about 8 hours, and new tires/alignment/rotation took a few days. I was able to pick my car up on the fifth day after I dropped it off. Granted I did bring the car on the Friday before new years!

I have been a satisfied customer at Springdale Automotive (going back to when it was known as Stein) on Taylorsville Rd for many years. The service is exemplary and they stand by everything they do. I never feel unnecessary work is being done on my car as they explain everything that needs to be done and why. David Roberts, Service Advisor, is extremely helpful and courteous.Their Technicians always take good care of my car. This is a very trustworthy company and I wouldn t take my car anywhere else. I had a great experience here! I was in a pinch when my battery died when leaving work on Wednesday evening. They checked in my car first thing Thursday morning and had it back to me by Friday. Being newer to the area, I didn t have a mechanic. I am so appreciative of them getting me in and fixed up!I love how detailed their vehicle inspection is, letting me know what needs to be done now and what I need to be on the lookout for in the near future. I ve traditionally gone to two other (excellent) Highlands-neighborhood automotive shops but couldn t get in either this time. In have a 2008 VW beetle filled with wonderful character! I enjoy driving this car and wanted to make sure it was in the best condition. We were traveling to Florida during a really bad rain storm and the wipers quit working.We navigated off the freeway and found Springdale. Everyone was amazing and got us fixed up and back on the road in under 3 hours. The employees were so kind, the facility was super clean. I was told they would install two items I bought for a 1980 Porsche. One of the items I found in England after searching two years for it. I had the car towed to them ($200.00) per my scheduled appointment which they were a day late in starting. After I delivered the car I was informed that because my car was a classic (knowledge they had before my car was delivered to them) they would need a two hour inspection charge at a rate higher than their standard rate. Reluctantly I agreed to this charge even though there was nothing technical about the work which would have taken less than four hours to perform. The next morning I received a call that the owner would not support the scheduler and would not under any circumstance install customer supplied product. It cost me another $200.00 to remove my car. So I am out a day of my time, $400.00 because the owner would not honor the word of their employee and no work was done on the car. Not a good experience.

I ve had service done here before and been very pleased. However this time it seemed a lot slower. Took 3 days to get it back. But the biggest issue was communication. Rather than call for approvals and updates, communication was done by text. Also I had to call at the end of the day for updates, expecting to be able to pick up the car only to be told they were busy that day and didn t finish it.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Battery, Oil change

Brought my BMW Roadster in for a full radiator and hose replacement 06/22 after a discount tire store oil replacement and systems check ended up mysteriously resulting in the breaking off of a small hose connector built into my radiator. Was not trusting to let the same place fix it. Was Recommended by a neighbor I use Springdale on Taylorsville Rd. I was dubious because of older reviews (when that location was under a different name and ownership).I was shockingly impressed with Springdale (Taylorsville Rd). From repair estimate (which is not free) to repair and pickup the communication from the shop to myself was exceptional. The estimate document was very detailed with a full breakdown of all costs. Authorization processed before repair. No surprise charges upon pick up. Work done by a certified BMW tech. Springdale is more expensive than a discount shop, but the quality of work is worth every penny. This was as close to white glove treatment as I ve every had from a repair center. The service manager Candy was 5 star communications wise.

I always have a great experience with Springdale Bowman Field. They are always able to drive me back home when I drop my car off and pick me back up when the repairs are finished. This truly is a valuable convenience for me. Matt is always able to explain the issues in layman's terms, which I appreciate so I know what I'm paying for. He moved my car to the front of the line when I was very pregnant, knowing I could not be without a car when I go into labor, and they were able to get my car in and out in a day. Was fast and efficient with getting back with me concerning my Dodge Ram 1500. Awesome use of technology with texting updates as to when the technician was working on my truck. Thoroughly explained the quote without additional pressures. Super friendly, clean and efficient. Not necessarily the cheapest, however sometimes you get what you pay for. Pay a little more knowing your car is Secure and well taken care of. Will be back.

I was thrilled with his fast they got me in for service. The dealership wasn t even going to look at my car for 10 more days. Meanwhile they got my car in, did diagnostics and had the part the next day and fixed before noon. Fantastic customer service. They let me know what was going on with every step. I will definitely only use them for my Volkswagen from now on!

The woman at the front desk kept telling me they only work on high end cars like imports and that the parts they use are high end and very expensive. She told me she could give me a name of a place that is cheaper and does lower quality work. I left with the feeling she thought my car wasn't good enough or I couldn't afford the work, I will never go back to this location at least.Now the one in Middletown, the staff was super friendly when they were fixing my fiance's FORD...

I highly recommend. These guys are fantastic, and they have outstanding customer service. Candy and Matt (I believe that's his name) anywho they're the dynamic duo at the front desk. Very friendly and the energy they have is awesome. By far the coolest auto shop I've ever been to. On top of all that they let me leave my car in the parking lot overnight until I was able to get a new tire. If that isn't love idk what is. Seriously tho, if you need any work done on your car this is the place to go no doubt about it. They get 4 thumbs up, 2 of those thumbs which are big toes. Service: Auto tire replacement

They take amazing care of your car! The most open and honest mechanic I've ever been to. They will tell you everything that is wrong (and right) with your car and if you urgently need to fix something or if it can wait. Their service is impeccable. They even washed my car and cleaned out the inside the last time I took her in! Absolutely LOVE Springdale Automotive!! Super friendly and knowledgeable. Best place to take any car, especially European ones!

Candy was able to make a quick appointment for me. She kept me up to date on status of the inspection, costs, and when the work was finished. She was a pleasure to work with. Springdale also provided a ride home after drop-off and then picked me up when my car was ready. we really hate to give such a bad review but in this case we simply have no choice. Our association with Stein goes back to 1987 when Russ Stein personally checked out our very first Porsche 911. After we moved to Texas we did not have a service relationship but we started taking two of our Porsche 911's to Stein for service about 2 years ago when we bought a second house back in Louisville. I give them a two star rather than a one star (which was tempting) on this occasion as I have been satisfied in the past but just felt like this time we were not treated so fairly. We took our 1998 Porsche 993 cabriolet in a few weeks ago for a bad brake and general driving pull to the left which we felt was probably an alignment issue. The car was at the shop for nearly a week. A bad battery was found (we were appreciative of that find) but they admitted they could not adjust the alignment to avoid the pull. So - basically I paid almost $900 for a battery and an unsuccessful alignment attempt. I had no choice but to take the car elsewhere where it was found that the alignment WAS bad (negative camber on the front right - positive camber on the front left and toe was out of spec). So I paid the other shop t make the fix and the car drives fine now. Again - we like Stein and the staff there seem like very nice guys but them simply would not engage with me on this issue. Regardless of what the owner or GM may post below in rebuttal know that he/they ignored a phone message, an email and a written letter all attempting to see if there was some was to be accommodated for this issue. Too bad .....as we liked this establishment and would have gladly brought them additional business. Now we will have to think about it real hard.
