We ve been using probilt for years. Their prices are reasonable, they work quickly, and are so helpful with explaining any work that has needed to be done on our vehicles. We don t trust anyone else with our car stuff. 10/10 recommend!

I don't trust my truck to just anyone and I'll drive "a few" extra miles to have competent, reliable mechanics, that won't rip me off when it comes to PMs and repairs on all my vehicles. Keith Tennill and his crew are definitely mechanics that've been around the track a few times, but won't take the customer for a ride. Aces!

I was in town for a show at the Expo Center and my car had developed tapping sound. Knowing that I had to drive back to Florida, Keith was able to get my car in right away to replace the lifters. I had it back at the end of the following day. I sincerely appreciate the quick service.

We were in Louisville from Lexington to visit family. Our muffler broke and the exhaust system was thumping loudly against the underside of the car. It was afternoon on Friday. We had never dealt with Probilt. It was an emergency for us. We pulled into the premises, explained our emergency, the staff was very courteous and professional . They removed another customer car from the lift, raised our car, told us the muffler was busted, told us they would put us on the schedule for an immediate repair, showed us exactly what it would cost, they gave us a very fair quote, did not try to exploit our emergency, and had the car fixed in just minutes, after the new muffler was delivered. It was all done in less than an an hour. They are GREAT!!!Service: Exhaust

I had to have a brake line replaced that failed unexpectedly and I didnt have time to replace myself. Called first thing in the morning and talked to Dan, they fit me in, did an AMAZING job and were done by 1pm. They are very fairly priced and will gladly bring my cars back here in the future.

A huge thank you to the folks at Probilt! My old car is transformed, seriously. In the middle of my cross-country move, I found myself in Louisville with a check engine light that had started flashing at me like it meant it. They fit me in on a Friday, and proceeded to save the day. They got me out of there by 3pm and my car drives like a totally different vehicle. Along with figuring out the problem with the check engine light (spark plugs and coils), they also pointed out that two of my tires were a mess as well as my battery. I trust their diagnoses and work because I proceeded to drive on 600 miles and it drives like a dream! None of the annoying shakes and pulls that I had thought were just "old car quirks". Now: I have taken this car to several mechanics for general check ups since buying it, and once even for a check engine light that kept coming on, and none of them got to the root(s) of the problem. So along with being great rescuers in an emergency situation, I can say these folks are a cut above just all around. Fast problem solving and work that WORKS. Thanks everyone.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Keith and team are top notch. I'm glad I came across their other positive reviews and gave them a shot. My experience has been similar. They're friendly, professional, and trustworthy. Everything I'm looking for when getting work done on my vehicle. Recommended!

Over the winter I slid on some ice and needed a new wheel and control arm. Geicko worked with Probilt on getting everything fixed. Dan convinced me not to use a part Geicko recommended due to it being used. I trusted that. Paid more personally to them because Geicko wasn't going to pay for the new part. When I picked it up everything seemed fine. There was still a noise it wasn't making from the ice incident, but I can t find any rubbing or anything wrong. Still not sure if everything was fixed properly though.Fast forward a few months and my AC was no longer working or blowing cold air. Thought I d go back since they seemingly did a decent job. Dan did the diagnostic test on everything and gave me a call. Said I would essentially need a whole new compressor and clutch for the AC and it was making a really loud noise during the testing. Quoted me between $1200 to $1500, which I felt was insane. I have a 2015 Subaru with 55k miles on it. The AC wouldn t have been damaged during the right tire ice incident. No reason the AC should just be out of service like that. I decided to wait and get a second opinion. Of course after getting charged for all the testing still with no fixes. Which is normal, but still. I took it to a place in Nashville, where I went prior to moving to Louisville a few years back. My family and I have gone to them for years, have a good relationship, and they are reliable. This is where it gets crazy. They call me and say they checked the systems for the AC (I even gave them the Probilt paper with their recommendations). Said everything checked out fine. Stated they wouldn t replace any of the parts because they are working great and in pretty new condition. However the AC was completely drained of freon. They put freon in and recharged the system for $200 (Probilt was going to charge around $300-$500 for the same thing. Also said who knows how long it will last before you need to make the big fixes they recommended initially. They never said anything about freon. I m sure the AC was shaking and making noise without any).My AC is working great now and blowing cold air thanks to the shop I ended up getting the second opinion with. The shop I went to was puzzled on how there would not be any freon in the car if there was not a leak, which they checked for and there was not. Said it would have to be taken out of the car. So I m not going to directly point fingers but everything was fine with my AC before Probilt, but of course it was still winter after I got the car back from the ice incident so I never noticed anything wrong right away. I won t be going back because I feel a little scammed. I don t ever write reviews but when it comes to your car and spending hundreds vs thousands I think people should be aware. This might be a shop that won t tell you about problems, or make problems worse, so you have to spend more to fix something that was likely easy/cheaper before hand.Services: Steering & suspension repair, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

Terrible service. Very overpriced for what they do. Stay away. Go to a real mechanic because this place will recommend whatever it takes to charge you the most for minimal work and your vehicle will leave worse off than it was when it went in. Go to Lamberts and feel better about what they tell you than this jackass

I aksed them to do a trip check and fix whatever needs to be done for me to safely travel 700 miles in my 17 year old truck. He called and told me he wishes he had found something to make him some money but told me my truck was in great shape. He could have replaced a couple things and charged me but instead only charged for less than one hour of labor. That's highly respectable and honest.

Highly recommend this facility for your automotive issues. Having a student in Louisville and being in Ohio six hours away and needing car repair.....Scott and Damon are absolutely the best and truly an asset to the Probilt Automotive business. Their guidance and complete explanations of ways to resolve issues were very much appreciated. Their service is superior. Thank you again for the phone calls and all of your assistance repairing our car.

Here's my Probilt story:I'm a college student at Michigan State University. I decided to go on a cruise after our spring semester ended, and I was going to drive from Michigan to Florida. Little did I know, my little car was going to break down right outside of Louisville. When my insurance company asked where I wanted to tow my car to, I was lost. I had a very narrow margin in order to make it to Florida in time to depart for my cruise! Also, did I mention this happened at 6pm on a Sunday?I consulted Google reviews, saw the rest of the Excellent reviews, and immediately decided to entrust my car to Probilt. I dropped off my car, leaving the key in the key drop. The next day, I called the shop. I told them I had dropped off my car, and needed it fixed by the time I would be back to Louisville from my cruise. The owner, Keith, was INCREDIBLY helpful, and a lifesaver. He fixed my car (and did a fantastic job), and had it ready for me by the time I returned from my vacation. He went way above standard service by working with me while I was 4 states away.I would definitely recommend Probilt to anyone who needs their car fixed in Louisville, whether you happen to just break down like me, or live there permanently. I was in quite a pinch, and Keith at Probilt was a lifesaver. He charged an incredibly fair price.Probilt Automotive: HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommended from this traveler!

These guys exceeded my expectations on every count. They got me in the next day even though they had a full load of cars. They stayed at work until it was done even though they worked past closing time. They could have told me that there was a more expensive problem with my car and I could not have questioned them on it, but they didn't. They found out it was something simple and only charged me the minimum amount for it. They were friendly, fun, and responsive. I highly recommend them.

Had my 97 Ranger sent in for a new starter. Got it towed at 5pm the previous day, had a call first thing the next with my estimate, told an hour till done, 30 minutes later I was called with good news, just needed a new wire. I love that they were honest and nearly cut their estimate in half. Will be using again for my auto repair needs and will be recommending to others!
