I was referred to Mr. Transmission & Milex in Middletown from my regular repair shop, "Integrity Car Care" in PeeWee Valley. They have never steered me wrong, and this holds true for this referral. I needed a new transmission, and Clayton Higdon, owner, did not let me down. He had to deal with my auto warranty company, "American Car Shield", which was nightmare for him and I. But he preservered with them. I am extremely grateful to Clayton and his crew for helping me with this difficult transaction. Friendly, expert service. Gave us a great price on engine work for a Cadillac, and fixed it superbly. The owner called to tell us every step they were taking in order to fix the car in a timely manner. I highly recommend this shop. I am definitely taking my other vehicles here.

Mr. Transmission was trustworthy, forthcoming and comforting to me during the repair of an oil change from another place that went terribly wrong and required my transmission replaced. Clayton was knowledgeable and personable, and went above and beyond to make sure my car was repaired well. He even drove to Cincinnati to pick up the part so that the repair was expedited. He kept me updated and in the loop at all times. I trust them and you should too. Excellent.Service: Transmission

Purchased a used car at a dealer. 5 days later, the transmission explodes. The dealer said talk to the warranty people. I took it to Mr. Transmission and talked to Christian and explained the issue. He clearly communicated the costs in a thorough and detailed manner to me. He worked with the warranty people. Bottom line, don't buy non-manufacturer warranties. They denied the claim. I haven't even made the first payment on this car and it needs twice the value of the car in work as the flywheel cracked the case and buried itself in the engine block. Christian gave me a great deal for his portion and I'm trying to get some satisfaction with the dealer. If I need work on my car in the future, I'll call them first.

I had my vehicle serviced by Mr. Transmission and at first I was impressed by their reviews and the way that Christian spoke to me on the phone. My vehicle had been at the dealer and they suggested an engine replacement at either $4,200 for a used motor or $7,400 for new. I m not one to believe that things that are broken should be replaced so when I called and Christian said they could likely fix it I was delighted.After my vehicle arrived and diagnosed they determined that it would need a complete engine rebuild and at this point because the engine was already out I owed $1250 no matter what they did next. I was quoted $5,139 to rebuild the motor so what choice did I have? I went ahead and approved the work to be completed in about a week.The shop completed the work fast and it was ready for pickup before the following Friday. Price of the work notwithstanding I was happy it was ready and told him I would be there Friday afternoon to pick it up.This is where the trouble began. When I got there to pick up my vehicle there was a large dent in the rear that was not there when it was dropped off. I was very upset and walked out with Christian to examine the damage. His response was to show me a service paper that they had marked the damage on and insist that it didn t happen while in their possession. He agreed that the damage was fresh because there was still paint that was chipped and there was no evidence of rust. Meaning it hadn t been wet since it was damaged. Even still he denied all responsibility. Fine I thought, I ll just pay for my van and leave. What do you do in a situation like that? No one would take before pictures of their car when dropping it off at a repair shop. I paid for the van and came back later to pick it up. When I got in I immediately noticed how dirty it was inside on the floorboard. They didn t use mats to protect the interior. I keep my vehicle very clean and that was another disappointment. I then called the tow truck driver to find out if he noticed any dents when he picked it up and took it to Mr. Transmission. He explained that he picked it up on a roll back and that it was backed into the space at the dealer and all they did was hook on and pull it up. It was not damaged. When he dropped it off, he put it into an open space with nothing behind it. Over the weekend I found out that when reinstalling the engine they did not recharge the air conditioning. So Monday morning I called Christian again and let him know the a/c wasn t working. He told me to drop it back off and they would take care of it. Again, he was very accommodating and told me he would call when it was ready. I told him what the tow driver said and gave him an out by asking if he thought maybe when it was outside someone could have backed into it. Even asking if he had cameras behind his building but he said they did not. Later that day when it was complete he called me and I came back to pick it up. Directly after, taking it to the body shop for an estimate. I figured if it was a couple of hundred dollars to repair I would just go on with it and not recommend Mr. Transmission to anyone but when I got the repair estimate back of $2,400 I decided that I would have to file an insurance claim. I explained the entire situation to my insurance company and they explained that he would never admit to the damages and that I will be responsible for the claim and paying the deductible. My deductible is $1,000.So I m on my way to pick up my repaired vehicle and pay another $1,000 out of pocket. In the end this work that Mr. Transmission performed cost me $6,139 and I wish I would have just left my vehicle with the dealer. I would never recommend Mr. Transmission in Middletown. They may do quality work but their attention to detail, their cleanliness and honesty are questionable.

Least expensive place for a rebuilt transmission WITH a warranty out of probably 8 other places I inquired about... The reviews alone almost had me sold.... And boy, did Christian and Scott live up to them! Super polite, patient, informative, respectful, comforting, I could go on all day! Said normal turn around is 3~4 business days, but could possibly be 2~3 days longer. I insisted they take their time but had my vehicle ready to go by the end of the fifth business day! I am beyond ecstatic with the service I was given with the unbelievable price ... a return customer I definitely will be

I love these guys!! Christian and Scott were so great helping me out. Being a single mom is tough especially when your broke down. Christian helped me with getting the rental car for me to have until my car was completed. In two days my car was done running better than ever. They did an amazing job. Fast...courteous...helpful...reasonably priced. Thank you so much!

So I ran into this shop about a year ago with transmission issues..At the same time my other car broke down.He fixed both vehicles in a quick and very affordable pricing.. hahaCars brake down are never affordable....So I prefer not to write reviews until I have more then one meeting with a company.So in the past year ... they have fixed my Van Durango and car..These guys have always been professional..price was affordable and quality service..Thank youPaul

Called on 9/14/18 and received a quote of $1598 for an 03 Accord transmission rebuild. Brought the car in and the transmission was rebuilt in 5 days as promised. Excellent work. Final price only exceeded the quote by tax and standard shop supply fee. Highly recommended.

Rating purely the service. The guy I talked to on the phone said I could bring the car in for a free estimate. He knew I wanted a quote for the work because we have talked twice about it. I bring the car in, and he then tells me it's a drive test that provides no quote. I ask how much to evaluate the transmission, and provide a quote, and he says they don't do guess work, and if I don't like it I should "take the car somewhere else."Given the thoroughness of involved in a review of such a commodity, they're probably pretty good at real work. But good luck getting any idea of how much that's gonna cost. I recommend Billy's Middletown Transmission down the street.

My 03 Accord V6 Trans was rebuilt here in September 2018. Almost 2 years and 13,000 miles later the transmission is still performing perfectly and there are no fluid leaks. Brought it back once a year ago because of an issue and it was a broken axle, not related to the transmission. Mr. Transmission fixed that for a fair price. Highly recommended. Rob

Had an iffy situation with my carNo payment....17 yrs old.. transmission done.... Good things are, my car is like an old shoe and it's a comfort thing...Had Christian rebuild my transmission and could not be happier. Great job, car actually runs better than it did 15 years ago.These guys are great..

On Thursday April 9, 2015 my husband's jeep began having problems on his way to work. He contacted Mr. Transmission while at work to inquire on services to the clutch, which seemed to be what the problem was. The representative told him they offer towing to their location along with a "free" diagnostic. He told my husband the tow fee is around $60, which is waived if the customer decides to allow them to perform needed repairs. My husband thought this sounded reasonable and asked them to come make the tow and call him once they've performed the "free" diagnostic. Once Mr. Transmission had the jeep towed to their location, they called to inform my husband they would not be able to diagnose the problem without him paying a $500 labor fee to take the transmission apart. This is far from a "FREE" diagnostic, and my husband told them no thanks. He was then informed he would owe them $60 for the tow bill. I called the same representative and told him that, because they failed to disclaim the fact that if they had to take anything apart to diagnose the customer has to pay an upfront labor fee, they should foot the $60 tow bill, as had they disclaimed this to my husband, he would never have had them tow it in the first place. The representative went on to say they don't make money off the $60 tow bill, which was absolutely beside the point. The point is (and I verbalized this) that the representative should use the term "free diagnosis" loosely, and should in the future disclaim to the customer that if they have to take anything apart to diagnose the customer has to pay an upfront labor fee. Might I add, also, that it turned out to be the hydraulic line, which my husband repaired for himself, without taking anything apart. Nothing could ever convince me that any of the technicians at this Mr. Transmission took the time to do anything with my husband's jeep without first trying to con money out of us. Christian (Mr. Transmission) failed to resolve my complaints, and went as far as submitting only half of any evidence with our dealings with them to the bbb.

Would love to show a picture to prove their poor workmanship, I had my transmission rebuilt earlier this year and I've had problems with it ever since. Today I removed a shift solenoid and it had so much dirt and debris in it I don't see how trans fluid was going to it. They spray painted my transmission to make it look clean. What is got was not worth 1400$Service: Transmission

This makes the 2nd time I've tried contacting them through email, with no response. Once, a couple years back. And this time was 3 days ago. It's usually after their business hours when I get off work to call. But They never reply to an email apparently.

I went to this place to get my van serviced and was not happy with the communication nor price. It went from a transmission rebuild to a brand new transmission. I was informed about this weeks later. Than i was told i had to pay $2000 for the repairs, wasnt happy with price so i told them to discontinue the service than was told i could not back out of it. Not a happy camper now im stuck with no van a lost in my book cause i couldnt afford thar price tag

Made reservations for 8am wed, 27 nov. They didn't open till 8:15. Only to find out he was over booked. This is after calling in and verifying appointment over the phone. We had confirmation on our phone and he denied the appointment. Very unprofessional, waste of time. The guys name is christian. Don't waste your time.
