AWESOME, CARING & TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Had my car towed there after my normal mechanic suggested going to them for transmission issues. They were quick to diagnose and communicate the need for a new transmission but were willing to give me a few days to decide whether I wanted to proceed or just junk the car because of high mileage. After I decided to junk the car Mike even tried to find a buyer for me. Who in the car repair industry goes the extra mile and does that???? Mike was just the most thoughtful and professional person I have ever encountered in the car repair industry. I would highly recommend using this Mr. transmission on Hunsinger because of their compassion, patience and integrity.

Mr. Mike and his team took great care of my wife and I. They took the time to throughly look over our family vehicle and was able to pin point the root of our issue which ended up savings us from over spending on repairs.We appreciate all their hard work and our twins do too. They were excited to see us drive their van home.

RUN RUN RUN! I took my Hummer H3 here to get a transmission diagnostic. It was shifting just fine but the service light came on with a torque converter code. After they took a look at it they called me and told me I needed a whole new transmission and that it was going to be about $5,000. I told them it was shifting just fine and I wanted to get a 2nd opinion (which they were not happy about). I took it to a transmission shop in Middletown where they found my transmission line was leaking at the fitting going into the radiator. That I was about a quart or 2 low on transmission fluid. (Mr Transmission failed to see this) They said my transmission was absolutely fine and did not need to be replaced. They also told me Mr Transmission was overcharging me by about $1500 on a new transmission. After fixing the leak, topping off the fluid, the Middletown shop suggested I go ahead and replace the sensor and valve body. Total of $1200 in repairs. Bottom line: Mr Transmission is a rip off and they don t care about their customers. My advice: go to another shop that s actually honest, cares about their customers and isn t overcharging out the wazoo.

Went in there with a potential shifting issue in my truck. The girl (Kara) was amazing, Very professional and extremely helpful. The repairs were done fast and reasonably priced. I will be a repeat customer, if anything based off of customer service alone.

I had nothing but a great experience with them. They were very honest and helpful. I had some noise happening during shifts in my car and gave them the run down and asked them to check it out. Upon test driving it they did not notice any issues with the transmission but found a loose piece that was making the noise. They did not charge me for the small repair and they were super nice and honest. I will definitely be taking my car back here if any other issues come up.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair

I was referred by GoodYear off Bardstown rd. They are an awesome team of experience. I have work done on my truck for the last 3 years and these "certified" individuals could not clear any codes nor clear my engine light. The team at Mr Transmission found the problem. Mike at Mr. Transmission was very transparent, worked with me on my needs and got my transmission rebuild done 2 days earlier than expected. I will be using him in the future when needed and referring anyone I know to him who needs transmission work done. I am a U.S. Army Soldier who is stationed at Fort Lewis Washington. I came home to KY for the Christmas holidays. Prior to leaving Washington, I shipped my 1995 Corvette home to Louisville KY. Due to the extreme weather conditions we ve experienced in early December. My corvette clutch, braking system and battery were frozen. This caused seals to be stuck and damaged. I called several mechanic shops to see if I can get my card fixed before my return back to Washington. The only company that was able to support me was Mr. Transmission. NOT ONLY were they able to fixed my car in time for me to leave, they also recognized my Military Service. Extreme respect, service, professionalism, knowledge of my vehicle and the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Having just moved to Louisville, I was recommended to Mr. Transmission by another local mechanic whom doesn t do transmission work. Mike was very professional and upfront about what he thought was wrong with my car. Very knowledgeable. The work was done within one week and now my car drives like it s brand new. Price seemed reasonable and fair for the work that was done. 1 year warranty provided! Would definitely recommend Mike and Mr. Transmission for any car problems!Service: Transmission

Most professional and personal dealership I have ever experienced. From my first contact with Mike, manager, until picking up my vehicle, I was treated with the upmost respect. I was giving frequent notices about my repairs and was given one heck of a price to complete work. Had my transmission rebuilt had to bring it back 4 time for them to try and tell me it was something different everything but never the transmission. My transmission went out in July/august around that time. Due to Covid they stated the parts were back ordered. They had my car for a month ( which i didn t complain about) but i will say this. When i called and they gave me a quote, they next when i was ready to drop it off the price changed . I told angel what the man told me and she agreed to charge me that, which was great and very nice of her. My issues and the reason why I m giving them this low of a rating is because 1: after i got my transmission i followed directions( break it in ) and bring it back a couple weeks later to make sure everything is good. Me being me. I wouldn t drive over 60mph while breaking it in because i didn t want to mess anything up. Here we are now & I ve been having issues with my car for the past couple of months. I called and talked to angel multiple times. I even brought my car in one day and they insisted nothing was wrong. Still having the same problems i had a friend of mine take a look and it s the transmission. I called back and tried to schedule as they stated your out of warranty and would have to pay NO MAM! I payed $2,000 been calling and coming in and finally when i have a diagnostic I m out of warranty. Idk if the business has been busy these past couple of months or what but prior to that call Angel has been very rude and stand offish. When someone is paying money for a service , we ll over a couple hundred dollars we would like to receive good customer service as well as great service.Service: Transmission

Never had to have a transmission rebuilt before but was pleasantly surprised by all communications with Mike Ulmer. Job completed ahead of schedule and on low end of estimated cost. My family and I were traveling home from a trip to FL and our transmission started having issues. Every place we stopped told us there was a two week wait. We got ahold of Mike with Mr. Transmission and he was very professional and understood the urgency of our situation. Great place to work with and fixed my electrical transmission issues within a few days and got me back on the road. Seems like a good place and was recommended by Harper s on Bardstown Rd. My one complaint however is that i wish they didn t test drive my car before taking a look at it because it was literally towed there on a trailer. I had an issue with transmission wiring (so the actual trans was fine) and now it shifts slightly harder and it s probably due to the fact that it was driven around while the transmission wiring was screwed up (i stopped driving immediately to prevent more damage and got it towed). That bothered me but other than that, i have no complaints. Everyone was friendly and professional.Services: Transmission, Electrical

I had taken my car to a friend and they told me that something was going on with my transmission. Then they referred me to Mr Transmission on Hunsinger lane. He told me that they were really honest and give them a call! I met Danny and he was wonderful with helping me!! They are so very honest and did a fabulous job! I highly recommend them!!!

Incredible service with fair pricing. I first took my vehicle to a shop that was going to charge me 1400.00 to fix my car. I took it to Me Transmission Milex of Louisville and they fixed it for 125.00. The service was fast and friendly and I will always take my vehicles there from now on. Give them a shot they are a trust worthy place IMHO.

Very happy with my choice to take my van here. Was worried it was going to be a major issue. They told me they would check out everything and call me so I could decide what I wanted to do as far as repairs go. Had it towed in on a Thursday and had it back on Friday. Thank goodness my transmission was good but had to have some other issues fixed. They did a great job and I am very pleased that my van runs great now.

If they can show the damaged parts and replacement parts which they have used it would give more clarity and reliability on Mr. Transmission, this gives satisfaction to customer.They have given initial estimate before looking into the car and finally they have given invoice for the same amount, Labor charges are very huge, I feel to bring the estimated figure, they have added more Labor charges.Many of them are not recommended to go Mr. Transmission, however I came here as I don't know much about cars and mechanics here and dealer is charging more for new part replacement and giving same warranty.Getting noise from my steering wheel when I am taking turn, need to get checked up with them.I have towed my vehicle my self and asked please consider this in the billing as I didn't use your service, he said will consider, but finally it's not considered even I requested.I don't see they are doing fair pricing, you can check the images of bills attached, it's really heart burn for people who bought car couple of months back and landed with Transmission problems and paying 3000 for repairs.

I was on a road trip from DC to Oklahoma, so Kentucky was my halfway point. My "Check Engine" light went on, which is very alarming to a lone traveler. I was referred to Mr. Transmission by Firestone since it was something too complicated for them.The guys at Mr. Transmission were so nice and accommodating. They took my car in immediately and found out what the problem was and even cleaned my battery among other maintenance duties. They admitted the problem would take several hours to fix, but understood I had to get on the road ASAP. They sent me on my way knowing I will be able to make the next 9 hours of driving and giving me great advice on how I need to fix my transmission when I get home. This helped me regain my confidence. They also told me that I can contact them at any hour if I got into any car trouble. They did all this at NO CHARGE. I've obviously made it home safely and now know exactly what I need to do for my car. They are genuine and actually want to help people, not take their money. I highly recommend this place, they really know what they are doing.

Was told by another shop that I had to replace my transmission and to expect it to cost $3,500. Went to Mr. Transmission and they took the time to diagnose the real issue and fixed it for 1/7 of the original estimate. I am very appreciative to them for doing right by their customers and can t recommend them enough.

I was very pleased with this particular establishment. They went above and beyond what they needed to do to fix my problem. They got my car in on a Tuesday and it was ready the next day.
