I can not say enough good stuff about these people and this shop. They have went above and beyond to help us out. We brought our vehicle in for warranty work and find out that we had to pay out of pocket for a new engine. They tried for a month and a half to get with the warranty company before getting approved for the transmission. I was given a quote of $9k and a few days later was given a total out of pocket cost of $7950. They were sympathetic to our needs, (our child has therapies he cannot miss) and gave a loaner vehicle. Communication is key and they were on top of keeping us informed every step of the way. I cannot recommend Middletown Transmission enough. They've got a customer for life from us. We will only use them for all of our vehicle repairs.

My most recent visit (10/3/23) speaks for the type of experience Middletown Auto provides: Diagnosing a " check engine" light (on a BMW X1) revealed an issue with a relief valve connected with the pollution control system. The PROS there- with further investigation on their part- discovered the part was part of a technical service bulletin, and was therefore covered under an extended warranty by the manufacturer.Middletown Auto could very easily have charged me for the part and labor to fix this, and I wouldn't have known the difference.My total bill for the diagnostic and a couple of small issues with resetting items in the infotainment system was $50!!!How welcome it is to find tradesmen of any sort that are both competent and honest!Nick and his staff are thorough professionals serving their customers with integrity.

Nick, Hanna, and the team at Middletown Transmission do an awesome job of taking care of their customers. They were able to get my car in to be serviced quickly, did a great job communicating all work performed on my vehicle, and all at a very reasonable cost. After I had been quoted an amount by another garage, they were able to take care of my brakes and other additional needs at a much more reasonable price. Not being super mechanically inclined, I always feel a little wary whenever I have to take my car in for something other than an oil change, but Nick and his team did a great job of making me feel comfortable and 10/10 would recommend Middletown Transmission.Services: Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement

Was quotes a rate of nearly $300 for much needed auto repair services that I approved, however, when I came to the location to pickup my vehicle after it was repaired, I was informed that the serviced that I approved wasn't full necessary and that the rate was now $221 instead. I have been a customer of Middletown Transmission & Auto Repair since we moved to Louisville and the aforementioned story that I shared is the reason I will keep coming back to them for all of my vehicle services!!!!!Service: Engine repair

We've come to Middletown Transmission & Auto Repair twice now. The first was an emergency that tore holes in our oil pan and gas tank. They worked it in for us, gave us pricing for both new and used parts (where safe & available) and did the work in the time they quoted, at the price they quoted. We were very satisfied with the quality of work and the price charged. Everyone we've dealt with on both occasions has been cordial, honest, and service-oriented. GREAT business - high standards, low prices, rare integrity. I got my brake rotors/pads fixed at this shop last year, along with an A/C issue that FIVE OTHER MECHANICS failed to identify, much less fix. Middletown Transmission handled both issues efficiently.This year, my brakes got wobbly again (a recurrent issue with my car). Because Middletown Transmission did the job well last time, I called them again. They fixed the issue within the span of several hours, and without me even asking, told me that the job was covered under warranty from last time. I didn't have to pay a dime.What kind of mechanic covers you under a warranty you didn't know you had? Only an honest one. I'm very impressed. Fantastic automotive shop, with an extremely knowledgeable owner in Nick. Great for general repair and for many specialty jobs. I take both of my personal vehicles here. They have fixed any and all issues for me in a very comprehensive yet time-sensitive manner. Nick was able to diagnose and repair an AC issue on my brother s vehicle that the dealership had absolutely no idea how to repair. A hidden Gem tucked away in Middletown. The management here is highly understanding and top notch imo. I know full and well that any (customer) service industry will always have struggles... because you cannot make everyone happy all the time. But a true measurement of a (service) business is how they handle the didnt-go-as-planned days, and the disappointed people on the other end. I don't feel disappointed or upset when I drive my car off their lot. I been here several times, with different cars, and each time is a good experience.I will be back to again to have my car(s) worked on in the future! I feel like I've found a mechanic/team I can trust. And if there are any minor bumps in the road (outside my expectations), I know Derik will smooth things out.Thanks Derik for the time and energy you and the team put into my Ford Fusion.

Moving across the country is hard enough, but nobody tells you how hard it is to find reliable, local businesses to replace your well established relationships. I have definitely found my new mechanic. These guys came recommended from a chain store when they were unable to provide a minimal service. I could not be happier with the job Middletown Transmission did, and I went for a simple transmission fluid change. They took it upon themselves to buff out a scratch I'd made in my bumper over two years ago. I DIDN'T EVEN ASK! I am impressed from head to toe with the customer service they brought to the table. I will happily pay extra for going above and beyond, but the true icing on the cake was that they came in well under what was quoted.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have taken my car to multiple places who couldn t figure out what was wrong with it. The guys at Middletown knew exactly what was wrong and were able to fix everything at a reasonable price. Hanna was kind enough give me a ride back to my house while waiting which only took a day to fix. I won t take my car anywhere else! Over the course of 18 months and almost $2500 they failed to accurately diagnose the problems with my power steering. I finally had to pick up my truck with the steering in worse shape than when I delivered it. A nearby shop fixed it within one day. Excuses and guesswork; I will never go back to this shop. This is after using the shop for 12 years. The last few years the quality of work has go down markedly. New ownership or mechanics?Service: Steering & suspension repair

Middletown Transmission did a great job rebuilding the transmission in my 03 Silverado & taking care of a emissions issue, they kept me informed of the repair, were extremely helpful & friendly in person & on the phone. If you need your vehicle repaired, Nick & Hanna can definitely get you back on the road! Derrick was very helpful and friendly! He was honest about everything and provided service in a timely manner. He even gave me some advice on fixing one of the problems myself if I was looking to save money. This is a great place to go!

Needed some random upkeep done and I m useless when it comes to cars. They explained what should be done to keep my car in good standing and gave me the option of what I wanted to do. Brought in my 2014 Chevy spark about a month ago to get a wheel bearing checked out, they told my partner it was a transmission issue and quoted me 8-9K to rebuild the engine so this transmission issue could be fixed. I was devastated that my car I just bought 6 months ago seemed to be worthless to fix. Took it into the Chevy dealer and paid for a diagnostic exam. It was the wheel bearing. Feels like this business was trying to take advantage.

Had my truck get the complete 150k tune up and it s brand new again these guys did a great job and didn t try to take advantage of me transmission was rough they replaced the filter and replaced some fluids and it s smooth as butter now thought I was gonna have to pay a lot but they cut a pretty good deal appreciate the professionalism and tactful work!Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repair, Brake service & repair
