Have been going to this location for years now. Recently had a more extensive job and went to another shop who I thought might have more experience; sorry that I did. Had some oil leaks "fixed" at the other shop (still leaking) but also needed a water pump replaced. The other shop (Louisville Automotive Shop) wanted to charge A LOT for the water pump job...Michel Tires did it cheaper (nearly half of the other estimate), faster and with great service. Thanks!

I was told that my control arm with ball joints would need to be replaced, was quoted a price of $1236.28, and was told that my alignment couldn't be completed. I found these exact parts at Advanced Auto for $507.98. I got a second opinion, who said that these parts did not need to be replaced at all. Your business practice is unethical, and you should be ashamed. I am being quite loud to my friends and family regarding your practice. You may be successful short term, but your reputation will be irreparable if you continue to take advantage of your customer base and expect them to be too stupid to check your work.

I ve always liked this place until a recent visit. I had a leak in a tire I needed to have looked at. I heard staff cutting up and was not greeted until I got someone s attention. Ok no big deal. I explained I needed a leak looked at and was asked if I had an appointment. Of course I didn t and was told they could see me in 3 days. I said no thanks and went across to street and was taken care of right away.

I went to Michael Tires in Middletown, Kentucky to have new tires put on our car. Both counter help employees decided on the tires that would fit our card. They installed the tires and I paid for the services rendered. When I left their shop I heard the rubbing noise of the front tires when I turned left or right. What happened was they put tires on our car that were too large therefore the tires were rubbing are car body when turning to the right or left. The next day I went back to them and they both determined that they didn't know what was going to happen or what they could do. They said they would contact me in a few days once they got back with the tire manufacturer "which didn't have anything with them putting the wrong tires on our car". I told them to just put the right size tires on our car. They said they would get back to me and they never did. After I disputed the credit card charge they still did not contact me. As of 11-23-23 I still haven't heard from the Michael Tire Plus Store.I would never use their services again. And I do not recommend anyone use their services. They will not stand behind their word.

If you happen to be in the Louisville, KY area and need automotive repair or maintenance. Don t go to Michel Tire. They do work that IS NOT AUTHORIZED & then try to up-charge you! People need to know about places like this! That is all!!!!

I was told the battery in my truck tested fine, but there s no way it was ever tested. I left my truck for several hours, never received a call back, and when I called to find out what was going on, I was told they found nothing and the battery was good. But I was also told all the symptoms sounded like a problem with the battery. When I inspected the battery myself, it was hot as hell and literally bulging and deformed. When I went to pick it up, my truck was in exactly the same spot where I d left it. It didn t appear to have been moved at all. They didn t need to pull it into a bay to test the battery, but no one with half sense could have looked at that battery and not figured out it was a hazard and very obviously not ok.

Don't waste your time here unless your're a run of the mill person that doesn't care about their car, wheels, or tires. First they said I didn't need an appointment, then I show up the next day and they act like they can't take the car (I just needed a stud replaced) but they insist they'll get it done the same day. 4pm comes and I hadn't heard anything so I called and the first thing they said was "Do you need it back today? We haven't started on it yet" when I made it very clear that morning that I DID need it back same day. Another 45 minutes goes by and they call me saying the car is ready and they had no issues. This was confusing because I KNEW the stud needed to be replaced. 10 minutes later they called again stating that in fact the car was not done and that a stud needed to replaced. Duh, that's why the car is there. Finally the car was finished just before close (I can only assume they had to rush to accomplish this) and when I picked it up I noticed they had chipped one of my brand new wheels. The manager noticed me looking at it and came out to talk to me. Jacob was nice and said we would get this figured out. The next day he calls me and says "I learned that we didn't install the tires on the car so we must not have caused the damage, sorry we can't do anything for you". They absolutely caused the damage whether they dropped something on them, made contact with the impact, etc and instead figured out a way to get out of paying for it. Unfortunately I can't prove it because I didn't take detailed pictures before hand but I had to inspect them when I received the wheels in shipping and they were in perfect condition. Stay away.

Price was very good and service was great until after the purchase. But don't try to get an appointment to get the free balancing. If you're looking for a good price they've got it. If you're looking for good service they do not have it. What I saved in purchase price I'm losing every time I have my tires balanced someplace else because I cannot get an appointment.

They are so amazing here! They've helped me realize having a good mechanic to go to is an essential in life. They never try to screw you over and charge you for stuff you don t need or overcharge for what you do need. They're honest and tell you whats up with your car as if it was their own. On 7/23/2021, my daughter and I were on our way home from Raleigh, NC to Bloomington, IL and I had noticed my left front tire had a lower pressure than the others according to the dash gauges. When we stopped for fuel in Lexington I noticed the problem. There was a cap screw and washer stuck between two tire lugs and had punctured a hole. I phoned ahead to location just outside of Louisville and spoke with Tony. Tony was gracious enough to work my vehicle in between other already scheduled jobs to patch us up. My daughter and I made it home safely. Thanks again guys!

The team here is great! They were able to get me an appointment for the first day I was available to come in and made sure to thoroughly inspect my car to find out what was wrong instead of just jumping in and potentially replacing something unneeded (which ended up saving me money). I ll definitely return if I need work done in the future!

The staff was great, talkative and explained stuff pretty well. Plus no pressure to purchase more. They even showed me that one of my rims was slightly bent just so I knew, didn't try to sell me a new set of rims or anything, just so I would know.

When I was in a panic because the tire pressure indicator was on on my car, the team at Michel's in Middletown quickly took me in without an appointment and restored the pressure on my tires to the appropriate level. They didn't charge me and I was on my way within 15 minutes!!

If your definition of a few minutes means several hours to all day you will be fine here. If you are ok with paying $220 for an oil change you will love this place. I ve have been a customer for years, but I m done with this place. They have no concerns for the customer s time and their services are grossly overpriced. I recommend avoiding this place.

I had a great experience from Jacob. He was extremely helpful and in my personal opinion, the nicest person I spoke to. I didn't really have any issues with anyone at all but I felt he was on point and sold me on what exactly I needed. Even though in the end it cost a decent amount of money to get my car fixed, that's not their fault but mine. After double checking with the competition, they still came back at a better price.Great job and I look forward to bringing my vehicles there for now on.
