They fixed my pickup very quickly. I dropped it off Friday just before they closed for business, and they worked on it Monday, and it was ready for me to pick it up Tuesday morning. They were very friendly. I think I found my new go to mechanic shop.

Brian is very honest and knowledgeable. He has years of experience with imports and domestic vehicles. He explains in detail the cost of repair and it reflects on the invoice.Steve the shop manager is a good tech although he needs to explain to customers the cost of repair before completing the work.I was a tech for many years and brought in my own high end parts and some OEM parts to be replaced. I was unaware of the extra labor charge to put on the parts until final invoice. If known of the extra charge ahead of time I could have done the work myself. My husband and I was traveling to Nashville Tn. and our truck broke down. We had it towed to Medleys. Said they could look at in a couple of days. They replaced our fuel pump. Very friendly staff and was very helpful with us. Would recommend this garage. Thanks so much Dave & Vicki

600$ to figure out a parasitic battery drain, and weren t able to pull a (admittedly somewhat difficult spark plug to reach) from the motor (because they didn t want to, because they didn t want to be on the hook for further damage) , so didn t even fix the major issue i was charged labor for. also ruined my sound system when diagnosing the drain by removing a cable that they just threw away, that i now to need to source, replace, and reinstall myself. also just pitched the fuse that was causing the drain to my rear wiper motor, and didn t even bother replacing it or tell me what the story was with it. This place used to deliver solid service about 10 years ago, but i ve told my family and long time customers to now avoid at all costs. they price gouge, deliver negligent service, and then patronize you when you ask technical questions about the work that was done. also charged my friend 150$ for a simple can of refrigerant to be added to his AC system, before i could warn him away. will not be returning to this location again and i hope Medleys returns to its former glory of honest, reasonably priced services with full transparency. Do Not go here other than very simple service you know shouldn t cost more than 100$, and even then keep your guard upService: Electrical repair

My sister in law had her 2010 Outback delivered to Medley s for an oil leak. Before it was picked up to be delivered she inspected under the car and noticed it was coming from the oil filter. Took her 30 seconds with hardly any knowledge to figure that out.They told me over the phone that the car was 4 quarts low on oil and that they started the vehicle while it was low on oil to check for the leak. The did confirm it was a loose oil filter . which they charged $140 to repair. That was one hour of work at $140.There was an additional 1/2 hour of work done for oil cleanup at $70. So for $210 they tightened up up an oil filter and added some oil. Maybe wiped it down. What a joke.I d understand if there was a minimum diagnosis fee, minimum fee to put it on the rack like that would be totally understandable, but I was told over the phone that the full hour was needed to diagnose a leak at the filter that a Walmart tech could have easily seen in a few minutes. Please consider another shop.

If you are elderly, disabled or have anything else that prejudiced people can use to justify shoddy service, excessive cost & refusal to fix what they messed up I must repeat what others have said: STAY AWAY!!!, The vehicle in question was not mine but family member who is elderly disabled veteran. He took it in because it was overheating. He took it there because they supposedly had good reputation & it was within walking distance of his Tuesday volunteer work. $1000 in repairs later it overheated on his way home. Next day they refused to tow it even tho he told them it wasn't drivable. The engine blew up 2 days after it was supposedly repaired when they forced him to drive it back to their shop (he had just spent $1000 on repairs that went bad in less than 10 miles, they should be responsible for towing + he has no towing benefit on his car insurance), the only trip he took besides driving it home. Their answer was it wasn't their fault or responsibility. It blew up with literally less than 25 miles on the repair job. Elderly & Disabled Treatment rating: F-

We used to really trust this mechanic and took several vehicles there. However, our last couple of visits it seemed like we were getting shoddy work. This last visit we took our car there for warranty work with CarMax care and he is charging us for the excess of what the company will pay for three hours of diagnostics and refused to do the work. They have had our car for 8 days and we re fighting to get it back to a mechanic who will do the work. We will never return, and frankly are telling others we ve referred there that we ve had this experience.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Not good people. Treat customers badly. My wife has insisted on taking her car here a number of times. I've been skeptical of their honesty and quality when doing air conditioner repair and brake replacement as well as other jobs. They don't spend proper time triaging problems. Came in to drop my wife's car for CEL. Owner at the counter didn't listen. Interrupted me several times. He had a phone call with a customer while I was there. Customer seemed to balk at a +1k bill which he curtly repeated 3 times. Owner was a proper dirt bag. They don't seem to want to do quality business in exchange for money. Stay away.

I have been going to Medley's for at least 25 years. I, my family, and now even friends go to them when we can. They'll give it to you straight and take good care of your car. I trust them completely. BEWARE****BEWARE*****BEWAREVERY SHADY & UNTRUSTWORTHYI took vehicle in for an oil change, 2 days later my engine was leaking puddles of oil on my garage floor. Thinking that the oil may be low from leaking so much I checked it and the dipsick was 4 inches above full. After all that had leaked out I had drained 8 quarts of oil out the recommended capicity is 4.5 quartsThey had over filled it causing pressure to build in the engine and blow out my front crankshaft seal.I tried to show them detailed pictures and videos with time stamps and they refused to view them and take responsibility for over filling my oil and causing the damage to my engine. I've been going to Medley's Auto Care for over 10 years and generally I've had positive experiences. Today I took my car there because the engine started making a lot of noise yesterday at idle. They appeared to be confident in looking at it and seeing what the problem was. They did mention initially that it could be air compressor, but to be honest, I knew it wasn't that because there weren't really any symptoms of that issue happening. Probably should've made me reconsider, but truthfully, I trusted this place, so just kept waiting. They took the car back to look into it to try to get a diagnosis. Finally they came back and said i should take it to the dealer because it is an engine problem and since its under warranty it should be simpler. I asked if he knew what the issue was, and he just said its an engine problem, we are still looking at it, so I waited some more. What he did not explain was that they don't actually do that type of engine work and would not be able to actually diagnosis. So, I walked out of Medleys with a $150 bill for diagnostic analysis, but the only notes on the invoice are that there is a noise coming from the engine. So I paid $150 (half of my warrant deductible) for them to repeat what I told them back to me. It's not covered by the warranty because they only cover diagnosis from a place that actually do the repair, and the warranty company also pointed out (as I did to Medley's) that they didn't actually diagnose anything.That being said, this is a great place to go for oil changes and other routine maintenance. Don't go for anything else apparently. I won't be going back at all because $150 to do absolutely nothing for someone who's gone there for 10 years with multiple vehicles is bad customer service. I'm really disappointed. If they had just been upfront and said that they couldn't do this type of work and instructed me to go elsewhere before racking up service time, I would have really appreciated it and totally understood their limitations.

Brought my car in for their advertised $54.00 headlamp cleaning. The quality of the results was way off. The lenses were still very foggy looking. I spoke with the manager and he said that was the best they could do. I requested a refund so I could take it to another place to get it done correctly. He got very angry. At first he refused to refund but after further discussions he did give me one-half the cost. He basically through the money at me and made it clear to leave now.Service: Body & Trim

i went to this store because i do have no idea about car stuff and my engineer light was on and i was wondering about that. however they charged to me, 75dollar so kindly for check everything about my car but, they did not find anything about my car issue. When i back to store for get back my car, i asked to them for driving gonna safe or not? they was okey with that so i trusted them. after couple days later, my friend's father want to check my car for me and we open the door for reach engine and woaw! they forgot to put on oil cap ! and they let me drive my car like that ! on machine, every where was have a lot of moto oil ! it cost to me more than 75 dollar ! for future if you will go to this store be sure all piece of car is still on it.file:///C:/Users/lgn-sdflm-fd/Desktop/unnamed%20-%20Copy.jpgService: Auto engine diagnostic

DO NOT GO HERE. Absolutely the worst service I have ever received. I took my car in for a mechanical issue and by the time I picked it up they charged me with hundreds of dollars for parts I did not need. Even worse, the mechanical issue with my car was not fixed and was given back in worse condition. My car continued to overheat (after my third time bringing the car to be fixed extremely frustrated) and eventually shut down and started to smoke in the middle of shelbyville rd. Today I had the car towed from their shop to another mechanic which now had to replace my engine due to the damages. Medleys gave AAA THE WRONG CAR!! Careless errors. These guys do no know what they are doing.

$130 for a diagnostic test for a slightly stalling 2015 vehicle and they did not communicate the price beforehand and when I stated there to pick up my vehicle, was told would be 30 to 45 minutes to even get the vehicle down and ready. My mom recommended this place and after today we will be taking our business elsewhere. The son had an unpleasant attitude from the genesis. Wish I would have followed my gut and walked out but lesson learned and now warning others not to follow suit otherwise you will regret it.

I have never been a shop were they don't tell you the price up front. Tricks, games, lies! That's all this place is about. They're not honest and up front. They don't tell you their prices before doing work, he told me I should have asked. They were very rude, and over talked me, trying to be intimidating, I'm sure he wouldn't have done that to a man. Poor customer service, horrible treatment I thought I was being tricked, just dishonest. Women beware!

I had the water pump fail spectacularly in my truck and needed it repaired in a hurry. I already had the part (I intended on doing it myself, but the rain killed that), but needed it installed that day. I called them, took it right over before noon and had it back in running order by 3:30. Reasonably priced, especially for this end of town, and super fast turn around. If I have anything else beyond my abilities, or that I just don't wait to undertake, I will be back.

Fantastic! The best. Anxiety relieved and a trusted mechanic for life.Just went to them again. They took the time to try and repair the wiring to the headlight but alas despite Mark's best efforts it couldn't be saved. They tried to save it to save me money. Where else do you see that kind of honesty? Great business to do business with. Excellent service.

Couldn't recommend more highly! Yesterday while driving across the country with my family to return home to North Carolina, our battery died. I called multiple shops and no one had availability. The guys at Medley's were compassionate and were able to take care of me quickly after the tow truck brought the car to the shop. They were kind and got our family back on the road within 30 minutes. My least favorite part of living in the city is how cold and impersonal everyone is. However, Medley's made me feel right at home. I actually didn't want to leave when my car was done! They even attempted to fix my key fob for me for no extra charge. And when it was time to pay, I was incredibly pleased at how affordable it was. From now on they definitely have my business.

Medley usually provides good service at a fair price.During the last service on my car it was driven from the parking lot to the service bay, about 100 feet or less. During that time and distance my radio station was changed, air conditioner temperature set to maximum cold, air vents adjusted to blow on the driver and seat adjusted. Without memory seat it is more difficult to adjust to the previous setting.When I commented to the owner he stated the service person, his son, was a big guy and need the extra seat room. I saw his son and both of us are the same size, and seat position should have been acceptable.Owner told me to tell them in the future to not make any changes. Seems strange that unnecessary changes were made and furthermore that one should be required to make such requests.I don't like things changed once I get them set to my liking.

***Warning: Be very clear that you want a price quote prior to any work being done on your vehicle at this Medley's location.*** We did not give approval for a $130 Analysis and an oil change after our car sputtered into their shop. We were called after the work was already done, and, luckily, we had the money to pay the bill. Not everyone would have it, and that is not a good predicament for anyone. When we first pulled in, Bobby was very helpful and informative.
