Josh and the Honest Mechanic team were phenomenal to do business with. They really reflect doing work that is honest and quality . I had some mechanical issues with my Jeep and had been severely over quoted at a few other establishments so was referred to Honest Mechanic. They communicated every step of the process to me during the repairs. What I liked most about the experience is when their team found other mechanical issues I did not get pressured to fix these things immediately which is often the case with a lot of auto repair places . Josh and the team gave me their honest perspective on which issues to correct now based on level of safety concerns. I highly recommend their services and will be returning for more work in the future .

Josh recently did some significant work on my engine and I cant recommended him enough. His company name is no gimmick. He truly is HONEST, fair, reliable, professional, and very knowledgeable. He can work on anything, especially German cars. I am very picky about who works on my cars and Josh did not disappoint. He will not stop until you are completely satisfied. Plus, he comes to you! Josh is an excellent mechanic and conversationalist. He is very knowledgeable about his trade and is thorough in his work. Josh did a fantastic job on my car, thoroughly spending time to diagnose the noise and giving me a comprehensive overview of what is needed in the future with my car. He knew this was my only vehicle and I am dependent on having it especially with my husband in the hospital. He made it a priority to get the work done same day so I could have my car. Josh is awesome at what he does. He takes the time to diagnose the issue and then explains it to you so you understand the solution. He is always asking if you have any questions for him. He performed diagnostic tests on my Infiniti and determined the best route to take to fix it. This is my 3rd time using Josh. Literally the most amazing mechanic in town! Truly the honest mechanic! Kind, courteous, superb. He went above and beyond! He even comes to you! I quoted multiple mechanics in town for a repair, everyone said 400-600 dollars minimum. He came to me and when it was all said and done it was less than 90 dollars! He wouldn t even let me tip him. I cannot put into words what an amazing mechanic he is! Like truly I feel like my grandpa sent me an angel from heaven to watch over me and my loved ones cars! Like I cannot gush enough. I would give 10 stars if I could!! I will only use him in the future. Cannot recommend him enough! I had friends over while he worked on my car and came inside and convinced them all to use him! Truly the best mechanic in town. The only mechanic in town as far as I am concerned!UPDATE it s been like two years since I wrote this and I stand by it completely. Recently Josh switched to a brick and mortar shop and I could not be prouder of him! Before making the switch he had given me an estimate and I saved up and recently made the appointment for the repair. I was expecting because of his having switched from a mobile operation to a permanent one that there may have been an increase to the price. Especially given that like in that last year or so inflation has really gotten crazy but he reran the price of the estimate and it was the same as the one he d quoted me before. This is really such a perfect example of this man s integrity. He s truly dope as hell. My car also loves him. Like he s just truly the angel or saint of cars or something. Can t recommend him enough.

True to the name. Honest Mechanic is a true blessing. I'm not surprised by these ratings he is 5 stars for sure. If I could give more stars I would. Had a truck at a local shop we have always used for 15+ years and they could not diagnose the problem with the truck and gave it back after almost a week saying it was just low coolant and they could not find any other issues. The truck broke down very next day.Josh came out and had the issue figured out and fixed within the day.Not wasting my time or money in the future with other places we know exactly who to call for honest work and professionalism.

Being new to the Louisville area, I wasn't sure where to take my car for repairs. In the past I have been able to trust mechanics and wanted to find someone I could trust. Josh was recommended by a co-worker and was absolutely fantastic! He scheduled me for a repair for my wheel bearings quickly and had everything needed for the repair. He did a fast and excellent job, including following up afterwards. I will definitely use him again and couldn't recommend him more!!!

I can t recommend honest mechanic enough. Top notch repair work and communication. Them being mobile made it so easy for my schedule. Josh came to my house and serviced my car, at a more than reasonable price, quickly and courteously. Obviously I hope to never have to use him again, but if I need to I won t hesitate to call this company again. 11/10. Had check engine light on. Josh found the issue right away and fixed it. Also did diagnostic and identified things that may need service in future. He was friendly, helpful, and I will definitely use them again in the future. I highly recommend Honest Mechanic. They came to my home I didn't have to go anywhere! It's not often that we pay for a service that exceeds our expectations in a way that earns our business for the foreseeable future, but a couple of weeks ago that is exactly what happened when I reached out to Honest Mechanic. After multiple attempts to contact other mobile mechanics in the Louisville area, I texted the number on the website and was scheduled pretty shortly after. Josh came out to fix the a/c in my 2004 trailblazer a couple of weeks ago and I could not have been more please with the experience. Josh was very professional and communicative and I havent had any issues with my a/c since. He was also personable and the pleasant conversation was a nice addition to my day. Also. Shot out to Janine for being so helpful!Tl;Dr- professional and worth the money. Your best bet for a mobile mechanic in Louisville.Service: A/C installation & repair

I have had some not so great experiences with mechanics in the past, so I m always nervous to have them work on my car. Josh was seriously great though! He did a very thorough job looking at my van to figure out exactly what needed to be done. His pricing was great! And he was honest about what needed to be repaired and what wasn t an absolute necessity. I so appreciated how great of an experience this was. He was even here until like 11:00 pm making sure everything was finished!The best part is that he came to me! I didn t have to wait in a waiting room with my kids and I didn t have to find a way to get a ride home and move over all the car seats or anything.Would absolutely recommend him to anyone and everyone 100%.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

We used Honest Mechanic today to replace our front brakes and rotors on our 2013 Jeep. He quoted us $200 less than Meineke, was super friendly and professional, and got the job done in about an hour without us having to leave home. I saw this dudes name on here and I was like yeah right, I have had way too many bad experiences with bad mechanics to believe this guy is honest.These experiences include being charged more than my male friends for the same services. And at Meinke they left fast food trash in my car and claimed it must've flown in from the window. And they bought stolen shoes from a homeless man who yelled at me in their parking lot! Fun times.Josh was kind and punctual, charged me a fair price (undercharged for labor probably) and came to me.He's honest and fair and me and my family aren't going to anywhere else after him. He's great and walked me through what was wrong with my car.My only regret is not telling him he's cute.

When I have car troubles, I only call the Honest Mechanic. I used to bounce around from different mechanics but one time I had some car trouble that my usual mechanic couldn t figure out after a month of trying. Took it to the Honest Mechanic and fixed it literally the same day. He comes right to my driveway so it saves me so much trouble and his prices were always better than other quotes I would get. Honest Mechanic was amazing! They showed up when they said they would, and replaced the coolant and serpentine belt at a fraction of the cost quoted by another big automotive repair shop.The technician was friendly and professional. I highly recommend this company and will totally use them in the future.
