Do not patronize this business. They initially started out so nice and supportive but turned on us with the quickness. They never returned calls updating us on the progress of our vehicle. We were told that they were waiting on an engine

Took my suv to have it serviced at Holcombs. I had used them before and they did a great job. Eugene was my mechanic this time. He really impressed me with his knowledge of automobiles. He is commited to solving issues and repairing customers vehicles the right way. Thanks

No lie, this is probably the best place to get a transmission fixed. Ive been here 2x in the past yr an both times the price has been reasonable an they did a damn good job. Car ran like new!

My wife took in her jaguar to be looked at and fixed. They said that the transmission was bad and needed to be replaced or shall I say rebuilt. Upon getting it back it started doing the same thing that it had done when we took it in the first place. They looked it over and again just to let us know that it was the cable that goes from the gearbox to the transmission had broke. Why didn't they check that out first I don't know but we are out $3400 just to have all the work done. I'd be leery of this company because they are rude and will RIP you off. This company is a joke. And they tore up the center console and said that "well you said that you was going to replace it" doesn't mean tear it up even more. Don't waste your time they will and I repeat RIP you off......oh and they hung up on her when she talked to them about the center console......just got a response from the company. Just because the console is a little broke don't mean break it even more. And leave big pieces in the floor board. Feel like they help pay for part of the cost since they tore it up worse then it was

Got a quote and diagnosis for another shop and I knew what the problem was before I took it to Holcombs. I just wanted to get a quote from them because I thought that they might be cheaper.I should have been more specific on what I wanted but I didn t think that they would would charge me $132 for a diagnosis that was a 10 min diagnosis for the other place. I thought that they needed the car to get a quote and to check it out.Anyways definitely argued with them because they did not specify that they would charge that much to diagnose my car whenever I called. I ended up paying it because it s a small business and I ve got a masters degree in business. I know how expensive overhead is. I highly doubt I ll be back. In the automotive industry, I ll stick to going to the people that I know and trust!

After being referred to this place from a different shop and reading the great reviews, I decided to go in and have my husband's truck looked at. Didn't wait much before a woman walked from behind and asked if I needed help. As I started asking her stuff she just seemed to be answering but with an attitude. Making me feel unwelcomed and like I was bothering her with my presence. I just didn't feel comfortable leaving the vehicle there or even dealing with her. I just told her, "you know what? I'm just going somewhere else because you are having an attitude and I don't like that." She replied with, "Well I'm sorry you're having a bad day." Honestly I was enjoying my day until meeting her.One star for her customer service.Won't be back.

These guys are top notch! I called about a transmission issue on a Thursday, told me to have it in the following Monday, they called and advised me of my issue and stayed in contact throughout the week! I was back on the road in a week! More than pleased with the service that they gave us!

Great group of people, I'm my opinion they are one of the last honest mechanic shops in town. I've been back to them multiple times with different vehicles, always amazing high quality work.

Had an engine replaced by this shop. I can't say enough about this shop. My 2015 escape needed a replacement engine. They installed the used motor I found. They were timely, persistent and professional with all aspects the work done. I will recommend and reuse them. Thanks for all of your hard work.

After reading reviews I decided to take my son s car to them so they could replace his clutch. Replacement price was very reasonable. Called me to let me know he also needed a new axle. Wasn t surprised by this. Cost to add that in was also very reasonable. I added on an oil change too and couldn t believe they only charged $20. Like what?!? I m guessing that was so low because of the other things they were doing but I didn t expect a discount. They completed the work extremely fast. First mechanics I ve ever dealt with that I felt like I could trust. They ll be my go to from here on out.

I brought my '65 Mustang to Holcomb Services and met with Dennis, the owner, to discuss my concerns about how the automatic transmission was performing. He understood what was needed. It was clear that he knew a lot about the C4 transmission. The modifications were made, along with some additional work (transmission mount, u-joints, etc.) The transmission now operates just as I wanted. I am very pleased with the quality of the work. A two year warranty/50,000 miles was included. The time to completion was a little longer than expected; some of the replacement parts were not readily available. When a collector car is involved, it's best not to be in a hurry.Service: Transmission

I had my transmission rebuilt in January by Holcomb's after my original mechanic couldn't do the job. He failed to mention the other issues my car was having when he sent it to them. After doing the job they we're paid to they fixed a fuel sensor that was absolutely not their responsibility. The car started acting up again and I was told it was the transmission. We returned the car to Holcomb's only to find out my transmission was fine they diagnosed the issue and fixed it. I will never take my car anywhere else!! Very nice. Very professional.

I was told at another shop my car had a transmission issue. I took my car into Holcomb's for a 2nd opinion. They discovered it was a mass airflow sensor issue not the transmission. They repaired that issue without problem. While they had it I had them to go very the car since it was 18 years old and I want to get another couple years out of it.They discovered several potential issues and I had them repair them all. I was very satisfied with the work and price. I will be back in the future when I need further repairs or maintenance.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I absolutely love this place. This is the second time I have used them for my son's car. They do an excellent job and they are very reasonably priced. They have become the place my family is going to use exclusively. A+ all the way

Im new to this area of town. I needed my transmission looked at, I made a semi appt (I guess). Was told they needed the car for 24hrs, great. Failed to mention that if I choose not to fix the problem I was charge over $100 for an hour service (dirty pool). Transmissions are a BIG deal they cost alot and its BIG decision and I'm basically being told I'm paying out either way I go. Than the lady at front was very abrasive and just down right rude. This company may have the absolute best service/work in town, but if there customer service isn't on point and your not upfront with your customers. I don't want NOTHING to do with you. Its a shame! I would been happy to pass their name along in a positive light.

I had a great experience here. These guys are extremely knowledgeable and do really good work. What really impressed me was their commitment to standing behind their work. I ran into an issue that was still covered under warranty and they took it back and had it fixed within 24 hours. In my book, that s the true testament to a quality organization. Would highly recommend this place.

We were in our class C motorhome, heading back to WI from our trip to the Outer Banks of NC and we broke down in the Louisville, KY area. We have Good Sam's Roadside, so we thought no problem...only to find out they were not much help at all. We contacted another company in the area who was not able to help us but highly recommended Holcomb's Services Inc, they said ask for Dennis Sr. We were able to limp our RV to Holcomb's (that was fun not being from the area on "back roads") and they had a spot in the shop for us to pull into right away!! We needed to shut our fridge/freezer off because we didn't have a 110 adapter with us and running the fridge on LP in the shop is not safe. They let us put all of our food in their fridge and freezer!! They helped us find a hotel! They tried to help us get an Uber, but with the fair in town one was not available. Instead, they gave us a ride 1/2 hour away to our hotel themselves! We were only down for 24 hours total. This is service like no other! I would highly recommend them to ANYONE! The shop guys, office gal, owner...ALL OF THEM are phenomenal people!Service: Electrical

Treat people how you want to be treated. If you have unnecessary attitude with a client who is nothing but kind, i dont know why you wouldn t expect people to have a negative response. I assure you that my mother chose her words very carefully

I just picked up my SUV after what I thought were transmission issues. It ended up being something that was an easy fix. The staff kept me informed throughout the process, and my vehicle runs like a dream! Thank you Holcomb's for your professionalism and honest work. I will definitely recommend you to my family and friends.

I took my car to Holcomb Services and they spent a significant amount of time evaluating the car and the best course of action. Initially they thought it would require a transmission replacement (about $7500), but after spending a bunch of time looking at solutions, Dennis (the owner) thought the problem might be fixed with a valve body replacement. He didn't know for sure it would fix the problem and recommended I take it to the dealership for a second opinion. According to the dealership, he was correct. At the end of the day, Holcomb services charged me $85 for checking the car, and I saved about $6500 on the work because of their efforts. These guys are honest to a fault!! I'd send my mother here for transmission work. That's how much I trust them with my vehicle.

Very friendly staff and good, quick service. Not only were they efficient, but helped us sort out our warranty on the parts AND it runs better now than it did when we bought it! We will definitely be returning with any other work needing done!

My BMW X5 stopped moving forward on a trip out of town last week. Assumed my transmission had failed. I had it towed to Holcomb and they looked it over the next day. Turns out a front axle had popped out. They fixed it for less than $100... WOW... Honesty and integrity. Dennis was awesome. Thanks!!!

Not very honest people will not stand behind their warranty they act like they are going too stand behind the warranty and work on your vehicle and then charge you again and say they replace something else.i would not recommend this shop they are Con artist. Just say your self the trouble and go somewhere else

I took my 2009 Subaru Impreza manual transmission to Holcomb's. The transmission needed to be repaired. Mr. Holcomb kept in contact with me and let me know what was needed. When I picked up the car he asked me to bring it back in a few weeks so they could check on it. I am very impressed and will take my car there again and highly recommend them.

Great customer service, not sure about the repair though. I took my 4runner there to replace a cracked flexplate, the only indication that I had a problem was a clicking sound at low speeds and mostly in reverse. After the repair was completed and I picked up the car I instantly noticed rough shifting, something I hadn't experienced before. a week after the repair I noticed fluid all over my garage and after a quick inspection I realized it was trans fluid. I called them back and was told to bring the truck back, the leak was a seal on the shifter and it turned out it was expected to fail as they said it didn't install correctly the first time (strange). the rough shifting at the time was thought to be poor lubrication of the slip yoke, when they remove it again it was bone dry. they lubed it up and fixed the seal and I was on my way (3 total days on the second trip). The car hasn't leaked again which is great, but the shifting issue is still there but I don't really want to take back here as I don't think they know what they did to mess it up in the first place. Most likely now as it's been over a month with no improvement I will probably take it to the dealer or another trans shop and be out alot more money to fix their mistake. I loved the people, Konrad is great and easy to work with, but each time they had the car it was for 3 days on a 5-6 hr job. The first time that was ok, but the second time when I had to bring it back for their mistake and find rides, use Uber etc.. I was out money that wasn't my fault at a time when I couldn't really spend much more as I had just shelled out 1k for a repair to my car that was botched the first time. While I hate that I had a bad experience with them, I hate it alot more that I have more money to spend to fix this and what I hate the most is I am concerned my truck may not shift correctly again, there is just no way to know what they did to cause this issue and returning to them for the 3rd time seems like a waste of time or could possibly make the issue worse. I gave 3 stars and I feel that is generous, those are due to how kind everyone there was and how helpful Konrad was, without them I would leave 1-2 stars as my truck is no longer the same smooth ride I had before, but the flexplate ticking is gone. I really wish this had gone better.

Had my transmission done here less than or pretty close to two years ago, brought it back in to only find out that I'll need to have my transmission re-done. I thought there was a 2 year warranty on the transmission work to only find out that that only applies to automatic transmission not manuals. I have brought it back in the shop at least 2 or 3 times because I had felt a gut instinct there was something wrong with the way the jeep drove and shifted but don't have the time to write the whole conversation about my Jeep. I just don't know nor understand how a transmission can go bad after 2 years and was not even informed how it could've happened. Now I'm at a crossroads in making the decision of replacing/rebuilding transmission and other things found that's wrong.
