Had a great experience at Gerber after I hit a pothole and damaged the struts on my Mazda. They worked with my insurance company, offered to help me get a rental, and were able to get me in and out in just 4 days. Nice and friendly staff, good quality work. Thanks again!

I encountered a frustrating situation with an auto body shop, which was disappointing given their longstanding reputation. After my car was involved in an accident nearby, it was towed to their facility before I could even call my insurance agent. When I tried to reach my insurance and their line went to voicemail, I offered to pay out of pocket, but the staff member I spoke with seemed uninterested in helping. This indifference only added to my stress, leading me to transport my vehicle across town to another company. The contrast in customer service was stark; the second company was incredibly accommodating, taking my details over the phone and providing an excellent experience. It's disheartening to see a business with over 50 years in the industry fail to offer the compassion and support I needed during a stressful time. Fortunately, Manning's Auto Body was there to exceed my expectations, highlighting the importance of empathy and customer care.

Shaun and Kenya were very nice. Anyone else who answered the phone I appreciate how well they communicated timeframes of when car would be ready. We dealt with our car getting stolen and they were the most professional and understanding out of the whole process. Hopefully I don t have to see them again with car issues but if so, I know this is the place I can trust.

They towed my car, got me an estimate with 24 hours of getting it. So far so good. They've ordered the parts and I expect it to be ready within a week of that. Service man and receptionist were kind.

From walking into the shop, Shaun and Kenya were both readily available to help me. I had been through a lot with my car with all of the break-ins. Shaun and Kenya stayed in contact with me through the entire process and were very hands-on when issues arose with my car. I really think that this one of the BEST experiences that I ve had with mechanics in this city.Especially as someone who is femme or female presenting, I didn t feel like I was being talked down to about issues, and I felt like I was heard. I appreciate the patience that they had during the repairs, and not projecting frustrations onto me, as I have previously experienced in other places.I will definitely be back, and they have gained a valued and grateful customer!

After a total of 40 days that Gerber Collision had my vehicle, I finally have my suv back. Highly dissatisfied.The original estimate for the repair was 5 days, it took 15. When we went to pick up the vehicle this time there were still 2 noticeable dents, big bubbles in the paint on the hood, scratches in paint and you could see every lines from the spray paint and I had two different headlights. At this time we spoke with a manager named Kevin, he apologized and took my vehicle back to fix these mistakes, claiming he would have it done in another 2 days. Once again it did not take 2 days it took 10. We tried calling multiple times to speak with Kevin and never recieved a call back.When we did finally get a call from a different employee saying it was ready, we went to pick up. Once again there were bubbles in the paint on the hood, the pin stripping done on the side of my car was done in vinyl and not painted on like it originally was. The vinyl had tons of bubbles and my car still had the same paint scratches as before. This second time they claimed no manager was available and that they would take it again and fix it. (This was the day before a Holiday weekend)We had to call multiple times to speak with a manager. They kept claiming one was in and they would call us back when they could but, they never did. We then decided to show up in person and demand to speak to the manager. At this time we spoke with the General Manager AJ. He apologized for all the mistakes again. Called around while we were in the building to get a paint job done. This was supposed to be done the next day when of course it took 5 days instead. But, I will say AJ did do a good job at keeping us updated.After a total of 40 days with Gerber having my vehicle, they have delivered it back to me. The painted pin strip still looks awful but at this point I did not care anymore and I will have to pay to get it professionally painted later.I 100% do not recommend anyone going to this company. The quality of the work is awful and the customer service was not acceptable.Services: Painting, General repairs & maintenance, Body & Trim

I highly recommend this business for your vehicle repairs. When my car needed extensive repairs the staff did a wonderful job at keeping me up to date on the status through text and phone calls. I have lived in Louisville for over 20 years and this place was always my go to for body work. The people were friendly, professional and personable. I have taken at least 3 cars to this establishment to have body work done and never had an issue until recently. I took my car to their shop to get some body work done. I was told that they were backed up and wouldn't be able to get to my car for several months. I explained that my car was involved in a wreck and the other driver was fault and they will be paying for everything so the shop could take its time as I will have a car rental provided by the insurance company until my car is fixed. I explained that this was my preferred body shop and was accepting of the the fact it will take a long time. The person responded that they were going to have to refuse me service at this time. I thought it was odd, but then I realized that based on the name change its under new ownership. Huge bummer.BTW.... I took the same car to a dealership and was told that it was going to take a long time to fix. I explained the same thing to them and they accepted my car and fixed it without issue.Service: Body & Trim

This establishment had my vehicle for almost a week, and then returned it to ne still damaged. After noticing the gate on my jeep was still not fixed, I returned to only have them explain that's as good as it would get! But to have the insurance company call and they explain the situation. Well the insurance company called them, and they totally changed there story and made a statement that the vehicle must of been wrecked previously? I have no record of that on my vim number! So it's obvious they just work for the insurance company. Yes I'm upset, but beware and do not take your car here. Don't know which face your talking too?Service: Body & Trim

I have always gone to this Shop, even when it was at Etscorns body shop. They do excellent work at the most reasonable prices. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of bodywork.

I had a very odd situation and AJ along with his team fixed it for me. My license plate screw had the head cut off at another business as their attempt to remove a stuck screw. Gerber did some magic and got the screw stem out and replaced both screws for my license plate. They were super nice on the phone, great in person and they actually fixed the problem. Highly recommend! 5 stars service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Just picked my car up today. They did very well! I had front left end damage with suspension repair. Paint job matches the rest of the car and my car looks brand new. This place is a joke!!! I was in a minor fender bender back in July. I know all businesses are slow due to shortages or Covid so was not able to get my car in until Aug 17. I dropped it off that day and it took them 2 weeks to get my car fixed. I was fine with it, but did not like the fact I had to keep calling to get any updates. Now here is the kicker. When they finally told me my car was ready I had to send my husband who just happened to be home sick to get it. My husband starts my car up and it sounds like a dam truck. He goes back in and come to find out someone stole my catalytic converter off my car. So they took responsibility but my car has now been over there almost 2 months in basically 16 days. I just called today after last week was giving some bogus excuse as always. I am really hoping I am not going to have to get a lawyer involved. So if you are reading this Gerber Collision get my car done ASAP. This is ridiculous and your customer service is the pits!!!!! Never take your car here. I will never go back after this experience. I only went because it was close to my house and my insurance referred. Never again!!!!

It took them FOREVER to fix my car. They kept giving me different days it was gonna be done. After about a month, I got my car back, but it still wasn't properly fixed. I had to take it back to get it "fixed" again. One of the items looked exactly the same after the second time, but I didn't want them to touch my car, so I didn't take it back.I wrote them a check for payment, and about a MONTH later they told me my check didn't go through. I had plenty of money in my account, and my bank had NO record of the check being rejected. I told them to run the check again, but they couldn't even find it!!! Got into a car wreck about a month ago. My truck needed a new bumper(s) (metal&plastic), power steering pump an belt and a new support bar across my front end.The day I dropped it off hours later I received my quote. Within 3 weeks I was able to pick up my truck. With a phone call every week with an update, always friendly conversations when I called the shop. They even let me keep the truck there over the weekend as I was out of town on vacation the day they told me it was ready to pick up. Super friendly and respectful. From start to finish I had my truck back in 3 weeks better than when I left it.A1 service.

I had heard about this company from my father. My daughters car was rear ended. What an absolute waste of time! They can not even get appointment for an estimate scheduled. Called over several days just to try to schedule an estimate. NO LUCK! Recorded hold message says get a quote online. NO LUCK! Must be nice to be so busy you can not even schedule appointments, Going somewhere else, because let's face it, if you can not even get the task of scheduling an appointment right, who knows what they will do with your car! YIKES!!I never got to the service part because they could not be bothered to even answer calls in the back office. Reception just keeps transferring you into a black hole. We have worked with Etscorn & Sons for many years (more than 20) and with numerous autos. They have always been exceptionally helpful - very upfront and will suggest less expensive options when quoting prices. The repairs have been superb and expertly done. They always communicate issues with us, including length of time needed for the repairs. Recently we had some scratches that we expected to pay to have removed. Instead Victor was able to wipe it off with a substance they had there - at no charge to us. Obviously we were thrilled. I have verbally recommended them for years, but am now happy to post this review, too.

Was in an accident & the other driver had issues with insurance. I HAD to have my first estimate with Gerber, they are a preferred repair shop, not knowing exactly what that meant for me sure, no problem, let s do this. The ONLY polite person I spoke with was the receptionist the day of my appointment! Jennifer Johnson was rude and condescending, she made me feel as if I were a child, every question I had was brushed off, every concern I had was answered with, well the accident couldn t have caused that. I spent extra money & time missing work because she blew me off & said I needed to go to the tire dealership, ect... in fact the problems were due to the accident & sensors needed to be reset. Jennifer Johnson made me feel so insignificant & doubtful of myself. I would not recommend a Gerber Collision Center to anyone. In part because I received a follow up call, left an honest message, was told I would be contacted & I ve yet to hear. I have formally complained to my insurance company & Gerber s main office. Watch out people, they are about their bottom line

Just recently had unexpected trouble with my truck. I had it towed to Etscorns not only cause it was close to my home but because they came highly recommended. I have to say that I am impressed! They quickly found the issue and called with a quote for repairs. They gave me a time frame which they would have made if it wasn't for additional unforeseen damage. Mike was the one I dealt with through the whole ordeal. He was very professional and understanding as well. They even drove my fianc� back home after she walked there to pick up the truck but forgot the check. Most if not all places would have let her walk back home. Great service!

Amazing customer service. I was driving through Louisville when someone ran a red and hit me.They looked at my car when everyone else was closed, gave me a ride to the rental place when enterprise wouldn't answer the phone and even shipped a house key I left in my car to me. I wish I lived in Louisville so I could use them for all my auto repair needs. I would recommend them to anyone!

They were just supposed to replace the front bumper, that should take a week or 2 max. But they end up taking near 2 months to fix my car. It's almost impossible to have someone there call you back, or inform you of when your car will be ready. And then they order the wrong parts. Im taking my money to Louisville Collision Center.

Nice people ,bad incomplete work. Had my car twice, since the first time it wasn't repaired in reality as it were listed on my estimate but I was charged. Second time was final time they still did not fix the Nick's down to metal or paint my car,though I was charged for it..... All in all a mistake.

My Mother, Gladys Birk, has used Etstorns when Bill worked out of a station & used pencil & paper to keep records. Before computers! He once told my mom, "Although he was very happy for her business, she would probably be better off buying a new car & make pymnts for what she was starting to pay in monthly repairs!" (She took his advice) Pretty sure not many mechanics/businesses would tell a customer that! It's not that small garage anymore, but the customer service is still great. My mom trusts them completly! Although I think they are sometimes too pricey, they are probably not any more so than any other garage/dealer. They fix the "right" problem the first time, & as far as I know, they always stand behind their work!

Really good service here. I recently moved here from out of state and after dealing with a shop that lacked integrity, Etscorn was just right. They gave me excellent service and I know where to take my car now if the need arises. .

Very Poor service. I was told that my vehicle was ready for pickup and the front desk lady is rude just hangs up on me before I can ask a question. I arrive and pay my deductible, go outside to my car and the work wasnt even done. Now am without my car. I thank USAA for getting everything set up but in the future I will pick my own shop.
