I had a minor accident but it was major to me, (I was rear ended). I took my car to Gerber and met Ashley who was so sweet. She got Nick, who checked my car out and gave me an estimate. I took the car on my day off and had to leave it which I hated. Ashley helped me get the rental car and chatted while I waited. The car was due to be repaired by the next Thursday. Nick called very excited the day after I took it in and said it would be ready sooner and could probably get it Friday so I called but they weren't happy with the paint so he told me I could get Saturday, he hoped. Well it was not perfect Saturday and JT was very disappointed but he wasn't going to let the car go less than perfect. I picked the car up today, still earlier than original estimated. The car looks great and the people at Gerber collision were as excited as I was. The work they did was above high quality. Will I recommend Gerber Collision? You bet I will. The customer service exceeded the quality work on the car. Thank you so much Ashley, Nick, JT, and everyone else.Cozette

I had an amazing experience with Eric and the whole team at Gerber Collision. A tree fell on my car on 10/29. As you can imagine it was a pretty stressful experience, but from the start they were very transparent on what to expect so I was able to prepare accordingly with my insurance and a rental company. My car was completed a week earlier than projected (would ve been done sooner if the tow company didn t hold my car for ransom for three days, but that s for another review.) I received bi-weekly updates via text and everyone on the team was available to answer questions anytime I called. I heard that they changed management recently and it s evident that customer service and experience is their top priority.

Recently, I Experienced exceptional service at Gerber Collision and Glass and I want to share the details of my experience with potential customers. When my vehicle required post-accident repairs, I initially selected a repair shop. However, after contacting each recommended shop provided by my insurance, Gerber stood out due to their prompt availability. While other shops quoted waiting times of 4-6 weeks , Gerber assured me they could assist within just 2-3 weeks, relieving my concerns about rental car coverage. The team at Gerber exhibited unmatched professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction. Estimator JT and technician Chris ensured a smooth and stress-free repair process. JT's advocacy with my insurance ensured coverage for my repairs, while both took the time to address my concerns and made the final results met my expectations. During repairs, an unexpected issue arose beyond insurance coverage. Gerber promptly recommended a nearby trusted shop, ensuring comprehensive care for my vehicle. Their transparent and proactive approach demonstrated a dedication to delivering top-notch service, even if it required recommending me to somewhere else. Commendable! Ultimately, the issue was minor and quickly resolved at the recommended shop. Despite initial uncertainty, Gerber Collision and Glass remained dedicated to ensuring thorough and effective repairs, solidifying my satisfaction with their service. For those considering Gerber, I wholeheartedly recommend their service.

Can't say enough good things about Gerber. Eric was the first person I spoke to and answered all my questions. He was kind, patient and reassuring. JT was also great to speak with. They were able to get my car fixed a day before expected, which was a nice surprise. Highly recommend this shop!

Worst place ever!!! Don't go there. I called to get a quote to get paint off my car. Told me it would not cost much. Told they would not leave me hanging. Well, they did. I was patient. The person quoted me a price and told me he would call me. I got one text, and he disappeared. It took 5 phone calls and poor service to find out he was sick...all the while the paint is damaging my car more. I went to Oxmoor Collision, and they did a PROPER inspection and gave me a quote in minutes. It didn't take 5 weeks and pointless phone calls. Find someone else.

My husbands truck has been there for almost 2 weeks, after waiting for 5- 6 weeks after estimate . No communication at all with us , my husband had to go in person today. They tell him they re waiting on parts. So frustrating. What s the point of the estimate ? Not to figure out what parts are needed?Manager refused to talk to him .Service: General repairs & maintenance

I can't give enough praise to Gerber Collision in Middletown, KY.JT and Eric are both phenomenal! Eric guided me in the right direction and he's very gracious and accommodating. JT got my car fixed faster and less expensive than I would have dreamed! He was taking care of multiple clients while still making sure everyone felt like a priority. They are a winning team and I will definitely return to them for future car repair needs!

Worst service ever. Didn't work on my car for 2 months, ignored my daily calls for a month. I was paid no attention until I showed up in person. GM informed me he had ok'd other cars coming in to be serviced and released before mine...no explanation why. Voicemail is full and they never call back. Better to go somewhere else.Upon bringing my car back I was promised a daily update, getting things fixed, and a reimbursement for my deductible and some other charges. I did not receive updates, and had to call in to find out that my car was ready. They did not have an update for my reimbursement. I left the car with 0 mi on the odometer and a full tank of gas - when I received it back there were 70 mi on the odometer and 1/4 tank of gas, with no explanation why. They also did not complete the repairs as requested. Now, my emails are blocked from the estimator and I haven't heard anything in 2 weeks.I have reached out to corporate office twice via email and their online contact form, but still haven't heard anything. I would love for the owner to contact me directly, and not simply reply to my post.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Trip 1, made an appointment through insurance and I told them it was for Hail Damage. Trip 2, got there 1/2 hour early and sat there for an hour before they got me for the estimate. On the way walking to the car with the employee he proceeded to tell me they won t do hail damage work, something they would have known about even before I made my first trip because the insurance company sent the claim info to them before they would make the appointment for the estimate. It is there prerogative not to do that type of work but cumulatively wasting 2 hours of my time and 2 trips to tell me they don t do that when they knew prior is unacceptable. I should have been told when I made my first trip for the appointment, that would have been acceptable.

My SUV was dropped off on the 10th. They told us 3-4 days which sounded reasonable. Then they told us another week, so we had to make plans to get a rental and be an unexpected week without our SUV. Then when we checked on a pick up day, they added yet another week......the first time they added a week we attempted to cancel the whole thing and just live with the giant scratch that they were helping with but they said the SUV was taken apart and they could not get it back to us. So we felt like we had to agree to whatever they were telling.I totally get that everyone is short staffed, but hopefully this helps anyone who is considering getting anything cosmetic done. Reconsider if you don't have a rental covered in your insurance or if you can't be without your car for 3 weeks.Communication is key and the reason I only left 2 stars is because we had to constantly call to get an update and be told it was going to be longer and longer and longer. Had someone picked up the phone to explain the situation to us, that would have made all the difference.

Great experience overall with my 2022 Dodge Challenger. The shop was very informative and kept me up to date on the completion timeline. I would recommend to others needing their service.

My faith has been restored in humanity today thanks to the amazing team at Gerber! My insurance company had chosen to do 2 separate claims under this repair and upon pick up I was informed my out of pocket expenses Would be double. Money I did not have. Regardless of it being my insurance company s fault, Gerber helped me out to keep me satisfied. On top of the excellent customer service the quality of work was there as well. My vehicle was repaired and brought to a competition level of quality, far surpassing my expectations.Gerber has 100 percent gained a life long customer and a life time of recommendations to them as well!Thank you!- Jonathan B.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Be careful to trust this place, it is sketchy, slow, and you might be left with unfinished job.Someone in this place was scavenging through the car including the compartments instead of fixing my bumper and other exterior cosmetic work. I always say, if you do something, at least be good at it, no matter what, so it was not even discreet, instead left items displaced everywhere in the scavenging process then added few surprises like extra garbage, and cigarettes buds. Contrary to the purpose of this place, just left the car disheveled instead of pretty. They also requested my car so early then kept it for months, leaving me stranded sometime, for a bumper. The put a cherry on top by not finishing the job requested then only made excuses for all things afterward.Positives? No blood or body left in the trunk. Choose wisely.

This place really gave me the run around while I was waiting for my car to be repaired. I was repeatedly told that the parts needed for my repairs were on "back order", until I asked for a list of vendors the shop uses. "Magically", the parts needed just so happened to be in the shop. My car was in the shop so long, my tags expired. Staff ransacked my glove compartments, (looking for things to steal obviously). Cigarette butt was found in my cupholder as well. Being a non-smoker, this was an extremely offensive find. White paint marks were left in my interior. Absolutely disgusting, and disrespectful. Do better.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This is in the old Bill escorn building I used to work at back in '97. Although they are extremely busy and anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks out just to be able to get you a quote for an insurance claim once I was actually there I didn't even spend 10 minutes there. When I arrived I called and let them know I was inside and almost immediately the person doing the estimate came and did it. I had the estimate the following day. I hope your experience is just like that but I'm not certain it would be. I couldn't see any reason that they took 2 months to get me to sit in that waiting room waiting on them. I do have to say that in my very limited experience it wasn't bad

Wasn t perfect. Paint has bubbles. LOL hints missed. Interior dirty.Have three starts because they went above and beyond when it came to having insurance approve them their damages on my car from prior to current accident.Staff very polite. Even though they forgot to have my wheels replaced and have issues with the work, they are very willing to work with me to get it corrected.Other negative aspect is calling with updates after I picked up car. They are supposedly getting ahold of insurance for approval of wheels. They say they will call me back but haven t that I ve seen. They also have Hertz or enterprise who can pick up your rental so you can leave it there when your vehicle is ready to be picked up.I d recommend them if you are in Middletown area. And if your not the at-faultDriver.Hope this helps.

I had some repair work done through insurance on my brand new Toyota Tundra I was rear ended back on January 2020 took it to Gerber Collision & Glass on Feb 2020 and they repaired the damaged to my bed bumper but they done messed up my paint job on my truck, whoever was tasked to buff my truck bed left so many scratches all over my truck bed and you can see all the scuff marks from the buffer. Took it over twice to get them to fix it but they made it worse and added more scratches. I would not recommend this place.

My boyfriend has already written a review about our experience, but it was my car that was worked on and the whole experience was just awful--so awful that I feel compelled to write my own review. If I could give zero stars, I would do it. I was in a not at fault accident approximately 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago, and I have just now gotten my car back, still unsatisfied with the results. The first time my car went in for repairs, the finish date kept getting extended, the customer service was good but not great, and when we picked it up all seemed to be fine. However, once we got my car home, in the sunlight you could clearly see and feel dents in the driver side back quarter panel. (My car is white, so it is hard to see dents and dings in certain light). When we called back to let them know that the damage was not fully repaired, the employees were argumentative, and I was even hung up on by the "director of first impressions". Finally, we were able to get them to agree to redo the repair and pay for a rental vehicle. Also, a side note: they left a microfiber towel sitting on my engine under the hood. If the towel had moved arou d under the hood it could have caught my car on fire. The SECOND time my car went in for repairs, we dropped it off at approximately 7:30 am and the employees present had no idea about my car needing to come back in, or that a rental car was supposed to be there to pick me up. After waiting for a while, while they scrambled to figure out who I had spoken to, or what was agreed upon, I finally was able to get my rental and be on my way. They had said it would only take a day, but it took two days to complete and it STILL has a ripple in the quarter panel. After being inconvienienced by having to put in and take out a car seat several times, taking off work to bring the car in for repairs, and literally arguing with them over obvious imperfections in their "repairs", they argued that the car was "fixed" again. I was fed up with dealing with them, the rental car, and driving back and forth, that I gave up on trying to reason with them and just took my car back. I will never again take a car to this body shop nor will I recommend them to anyone, ever.

We have previously dealt with Etscorn for many years and found them to be professional, friendly, and helpful especially John Lockhart. My husband went up to Gerber yesterday. He told the receptionist that he had undercar damage. She told him that the first available time they could do an estimate was after Labor Day. When he questioned the length of time for the estimate, she said they were "no longer a local company but a major corporation." He was aghast!! Apparently, this "major corporation" doesn't believe in customer service. BTW, he took his car up to Honda World where they estimated the cost would be $123 parts + labor.

I had some repair work done through insurance on vehicle at Etscorns in Middletown in October 2018. The vehicle was picked up on Saturday October 7th where we dealt with a rude individual upon asking questions about some issues the car had. Upon inspection of the the car the damage was still visible to the extent that it could be felt and seen on the cars quarter panel. After being placed on an extended hold and eventually being hung up on by the receptionist Lindsay, a time was rescheduled to have the repairs redone on Thursday October 11th. I missed work to pick up a rental car the morning of the 11th at Etscorns which they paid for. Upon picking the car up a day later than they estimated, the vehicle still has slight visible damage. When this was pointed out the same rude individual from the first pick up argued that "if I had to look at it at an angle then he thought that was acceptable ". We will definitely not be returning to either of there locations going forward.

Etscorn & Sons at Shelbyville Road took incredible care of my car after I got rear ended in December. Whitney and Matt kept me updated every step of the way and made the process of getting my car fixed stress free. Highly recommend taking your vehicles to Etscorn if you need any work done in Louisville.

Staff was very professional and courteous. Work was done in a timely manner. I was very pleased with the finished product. They even washed my vehicle as a bonus. If I ever need body repair I will definitely go back here.

Gerber, (originally, Etscorns), continues to be a First class company. Their estimates are thorough, their charges fair and their work exemplary. My family have used them over the past thirty years, both at their original location in Beuchel, and more recently at their location on Shelbyville Road. The name has changed to Gerber, but the crew remains the same! Thank you guys, your fine workmanship is much appreciated! Tom A.

Had a car that the window fell down in the door. I took them the car Wednesday so they could diagnose it. They had it fixed before the end of the day on Thursday. There is a man there named Joey that was nothing but kind to us. I feel like I just found a new shop to be loyal to.

My car was damaged by chestnuts hitting my roof and trunk, similar to hail damage. They did paint less dent removal and you would never realize that my car had dents in it. They were professional and very friendly. I would go back to Gerber Collision in a heartbeat.

I had the wrong paint put on but they are going to fix it and the guys working there left stuff in my truck. It was better when they were Escorns and sons but I give them the benefit of the doubt since they're changing names and management.

This place has awful customer service. It s called collision AND glass yet when I called about having a windshield and turn signal assembly done the woman told me I would have to call 2 separate departments and get 2 different job orders and that the particular shop I called only does the glass. Honestly looks and feels like a poorly run corporate car type place. Zero chance I would let these people do any work on my vehicle.
