Dave Harper and the crew who works here are excellent. They offer competitive prices, good work, and honest opinions. If they offer you a long turn around time it's only because everyone in the Louisivlle area is starting to catch on to this place! They are always busy for a reason.

Mr. Harper is an excellent and cool guy. I went to a big branded service center for a simple engine oil replacement, but they forgot to properly reattach the engine shield, causing a loud squeaking sound when I made turns. When I returned to them, they demanded $700 to fix it. Instead, I went to Harper's Chevron Service center, where they resolved the issue for only $20

It was an awesome experience. I forgot what it was like dealing with honest, straightforward businesses. Not only is he reasonably priced, but he doesn't try to upsell you on unnecessary things. I would highly recommend.

As a tow truck driver, on job for 30 years this place has been around longer than I've been towing cars. In order to stay around that long you have to be doing something right! Judging from the amount of cars on the lot, I'd say they do an excellent job.

Highly recommended....I was introduced by my friend to Harper. I was completely new to Automotive and have no idea what is going on on my car. I was having some jerk noise at my front left wheel and visited one mechanic before Harper. The last mechanic quoted more that $600.0 and demonstrated as suspension issue. When I visited Harper, he took enough time to inspect and fix my problem in just $55.0. I really appreciate his inspection skill and fixing the problem. I am recommending my friend to get touch base with him for any car issues.

Finding a skilled and trustworthy mechanic can feel like a nearly impossible challenge. We were introduced to Harper's several years ago and we've been taking our vehicles there ever since. Dave is very knowledgeable, honest, and generous. When you take your car to Harper's, you can rest assured that you will not be taken advantage of. They won't try to charge you for services you don't need and they do high quality work!This morning, I took my car to Harper's because the trunk would not close. Dave told me to come in so that he could take a look and fixed the issue in a matter of minutes! He refused to take any payment for his work and this is just one example of many customer-focused acts we've experienced at Harper's. They ALWAYS do a great job. Mr Harper is honest and his prices are affordable. I have so many stories of how he has helped me out. Even got a competitor to refund me my money when they didn t meet my repair needs. His lot is always packed and I see why. I dropped my Lexus off to be repaired, it had been sitting for about a year with many problems. Dave and his workers worked on it while Dave explained to me thoroughly what the issues were and what he was doing to fix it.Me being a single lady, was very nervous about shops taking advantage of me and over pricing me, however he was very well priced. Dave finally got 2nd opinion after you telling me for a year now that you could not find brake fluid leak. You just kept refilling brake fluid and found no issue.They found RIGHT away that master cylinder has been leaking for QUITE SOME TIME. Leaked into power booster. Both had to be replaced. Very expensive repair. Could of been. avoided if you WOULD of actually looked for issue.I will no longer bring my cars to this shop.Very disappointed that I myself kept taking you at your word. No matter how many times you put car up on rack to look.Service: Brakes

Dave, the manager, is very helpful, honest and kind.I'm a retired woman with no one to advice me about repairs. So it is very important for me, to find a mechanic that I can trust. I think I found one, at Harpers Auto Repair.I had several repairs done there, over the years and was satisfied.Had one repair done in March and was charged much less than I thought it would cost.Thank you Dave

Had a rattling/popping noise coming from the front end of my 2013 Taurus everytime I ran over any kind of bump, big or small. Got it checked out at my local place and he gave me a $1200 estimate of a handful of things he thought needed done. Took it to Dave and only cost me $215 to replace my sway bar links cause they were shot. He said if it were his car he wouldn't do anything else to it cause everything else seems to be in good shape. That gave me such peace of mind and felt so much better about it after he told me that! I kept the radio off the whole way home just to enjoy not hearing those sounds anymore! Thankful to not break the bank to get my car fixed and have an honest guy like Dave only fix what is truly needed and not try to talk me into anymore money for no reason. I can definitely see why his lot is always full cause he is so good and puts the people first! Highly recommend!

My family travelled to Louisville from out of state. While close to Louisville our van developed mechanical problems. We only had one day to get the van fixed before we needed to head home, and we had no idea who to call. A friend referred us to Dennis Harper's Chevron Services. We called on a Friday morning and they got us in within an hour. They fix the van right away and the final bill as about half the price of their original estimate. They were honest, friendly, and did great work. We'd gladly recommend Dennis Harper Chevron to anyone looking for auto services in the Louisville area!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Dave and his team are aces!! I will not take my car anywhere else. This is the kind of shop your Dad would tell you about from "back in the day" where they treat customers great, they shoot you straight and are honest about their work. If you don't need something done they won't do it just to charge you. Literally the most honest place I've ever visited. You can feel comfortable sending your mom or wife or grandmother here without an ounce of concern.

They always take such good care of us, we never go anywhere else. It takes a little longer simply because of the sheer volume of cars they see. There's always lots of cars because they are just that good and never gouge you or try to sell you parts or services you don't need. All mechanics need to be run this way. Will not scam you just for being ignorant or a woman. Best people you can trust your car to.

Called and described my problem (which was figured to be the alternator) and had AAA tow my car to the shop to sit overnight and got a free estimate the next morning for a great rate. And despite being a busy shop, they got it done within 24 hours of the car dying on the side of the road and I m very impressed with Dave and the team! Thanks for the great service!

David, Ben and Robert are the absolute best to work with if you need repairs on your vehicles. I have been going here for over 3 years and this group of professionals are top notch in taking care of my automotive needs. Big or small makes no difference. You can trust that your car or truck will be taking care of. I would not go anywhere else and HIGHLY recommend them to you for your automotive needs.

We have taken our vehicles to Dave for about 11 years now. He is great at what he does. Not your typical mechanic...doesnt upsell and will let you know if the problem is something that needs to be fixed or if it can wait. Always gives a fair price...he has done many extras at no charge. We have referred dozens of friends here and they all have had the same experience!His lot is always full (because he is just that good and has so many happy customers) so the only downside would be sometimes having your car in the shop for a few days up to a week.

Very professional, & they worked to keep prices down. They worked on the headlights of both our Toyota Prius & Honda Pilot, & we are very happy with their work. I can now see better at night than I ever had before in my Prius because of the work they did in cleaning the very cloudy headlight domes. Highly recommend!!

I can't say enough about Dave and his staff. I was referred by a long-time customer of his whom I trust. They do great work, fair prices and don't try to upsell you, which as a single woman, is refreshing. He normally knows exactly what is causing the issue described to him. But a couple of times I have taken my car to him, he either couldn't find the issue or didn't do those types of repairs and didn't charge for the time to look at the vehicle.

Best mechanic's in louisville! I have been going here before I could even drive with my parents. They are the real deal and won't nickle and dime you. They will tell you the problem and they will tell you how much before they fix it. Honesty is the best policy here!

My daughter has all of her car maintenance done here. They are honest and fair plus they do a great job! If I lived closer I would take my car here also.

Engine light still ON (did a tune Up) still run rough & idle terrible. I just not satisfied with service I paid for. Still can not drive just set. Paid $600 dollars still got the same problem. My plugs miss firing. I can t take back there service was not done. I have 2015 Jeep Cherokee. Amazing service have been taking my Volkswagen Jetta to them for the past year or so when it has problems. They are honest fair and extremely cheap compared to the competition. They might take a little longer then the competition to get to your car, but it is because they are so busy and trust me it is wel worth the wait for the quality of work and service 10 out of 10
