Cottman went above and beyond to get my parts ordered, installed, and get me back on the road! The car fought with them a bit, giving me trouble on the ride home, but Cottman's had it towed (for safety) back to the shop, bled the lines again, personally delivered my vehicle, and resolved the issue for me. I would 100% go back to and recommend them! Special thanks to Connie and David at the front desk, and all the technicians who worked on my vehicle! Thank you for your outstanding service.

I don't normally leave reviews but this is the shop I'm coming to from now on. The mechanics are very friendly and the parts and labor are affordable especially for older cars. I had my rear differential system and right break pad change on my 2011 Ford crown Vic police interceptor for 809. If you have a problems with your car I recommend Cottman Transmission fa real

I'm leaving a 2 star review, only due to their quick email response time. I inquired about a transmission rebuild, and expressed my thoughts on what the exact same problem has been in the past. And I get a quick response back with " what makes you think it's that? It could be more than that." so I said " yes it could be, could you give me a quote on a complete rebuild?" Again, quick response with "let me work on that" its been over a week, and I've gotten nothing back. To me, I feel as if their response was lightweight rude, and I'm not sure how long you'd actually have to "work on that" just for a quote. If it takes that long to build a quote, I'd hate to see how long it would take for a rebuild. Geez. Moving on to someone who wants the business. Idk how they got a 4.8* review doing business like that.

These people are crooks. Way over price! They wanted 2k for a clutch replacement! They also left mounts out when they put my car back. I feel totally taken advantage of. I found cloths all under and in my car.First they call and will give you a bunch of things not relating to the problems and explain all that nonsense after you're all excited they get you with overprice because they already took your car apart.

Terrific Service Experience at Cottman Transmission today!Came in for a routine 42K PM Transmission Service (filter & fluid change) on my Dodge Grand Caravan. Fortunately, before I found myself stranded somewhere or in an accident, Tech found clear evidence of pending catastrophic failure with Transmission grinding itself away.Greg had Chrysler Warranty on the phone immediately for a covered transmission swap replacement. Wish I had run across the Cottman Team a couple of decades ago.

These guys exceeded expectations in resolving my car issues. Thought it was a transmission problem, turned out it was something in the engine. My car ran better when I got it back and that s all I can ask for. Prices are fair!Advisors are knowledgeable and were very clear in describing exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done. Definitely recommend bringing the car here if you re having problems. Might be a wait to get the car back (several days) since they re super busy, but that s because they have a good reputation from what I understand.Service: Engine repair

When you have to get transmission work, it's NEVER a good experience. You're stressed and paying a boatload of money. That being said, they had to tell me my transmission was shot but told me all my options and made sure I understood. On top of that, they were transparent with the pricing and didn't try to force me into something (like most shops). Not only were they transparent and informative, they were also all super kind! I decided not to get my transmission replaced and they only charged me for the diagnostic (which was only $80). Most diagnostic fees are double that.It DID take a while to get to my car but that's to be expected when they have a full lot of cars. It's first come first serve, which is totally fair and understandable.Overall, a great experience and would recommend for any transmission work!

I diagnosed that the dual mass flywheel in my 2009 BMW 328i was causing excessive vibrations and began chattering, knew it was time to get it replaced along with a new clutch & release bearing. Daniel was friendly and worked with me over the phone to get a fair quote on the work needed. Their technicians Mark and Jake took amazing care of my vehicle and ensured it was completed perfectly. Their shop stays busy for good reason, as they turn out top quality work and the team here is very knowledgeable and great to do business with. I've used Cottman's several times and they are always great. I usually deal with Dallas and he's always on top of things. They typically have good availability, get the work done quickly, and always honest and upfront about what is going on. Dallas and Cara are phenomenal! They are honest and trustworthy people who went above and beyond for me. They got my car finished as quickly as they could and repaired a leaking axle (that wasn t caught at the last place my car was at) and changed the spark plugs. I wasn t financially prepared and they gave me options and a priority list. I felt like they treated me like family vs just a paying client. My car is working great now and I can t thank them enough. 11/10 recommend.

Friendly and fair my only complaint is not being able to schedule service. You just have to drop it off and hope for the best which is hard when you use your truck to make a living.

I thought that my transmission was acting up so I brought it in. I dropped my truck off at 3pm and the parking lot was completely full, I literally took the last parking spot. They do first come, first serve so I knew it would be a while before they got to me as I ve had to wait more than a day at previous mechanics before. To my surprise, they were able to drive my truck and start talking to me ab solutions by 4 the next day and had it ready to pick up by 5. They let me know several things I could do and knew the prices of everything off hand. Even though I was willing to do multiple options available, they stripped away the unnecessary options and explained why it would or wouldn t benefit me in my case. This made me feel like they weren t just trying to sell me something. It turned out I just needed transmission fluid and I was on my way. The price was very reasonable and everyone was really friendly and helpful. If I ever do have trouble with my transmission in the future, I ll be backService: Transmission

I have nothing bad I can say about Cottman transmission. Greg explained everything clearly and tried to save me money where he could without compromising quality. He explained what needed fixed for my car to run properly and safely and what did not need repaired immediately unless I wanted them to. I could tell they take pride in their work and reputation when Greg called and said it would be a few more days before I could pick up my car because he noticed something in the repair they did that wasn't perfect. They are very easy to work with and will shoot ya straight. When I picked up my car I noticed an extra bonus they threw in when my A/C was blowing out cold air. They worked with me on the financing and the priced matches the quote that I received from another company. I recommend them to everybody. I called them the day my car would not start. I was on my way to work. They were super nice, they told me if I could get the car up there as soon as possible they would squeeze me in and get the repair done. This was on a Friday. I did not expect to get in right away and they finished it the same day. They are closed over the weekend and i had my car back the same day. Very nice, knowledgeable and reasonable in price. Amazing to work with! Having to visit a shop for transmission issues is never ideal, but communication can help ease that stress. Greg was awesome! I never had any questions that went unanswered, the second I would think about an update, Greg was calling with one. Amazing communication, fair pricing, quick turnaround, all good things from this shop.This was my first time working with them and will certainly use and recommend in the future! Daughters car broke down, had it towed there and met Greg- store manager, receptionist (forgot her name but very nice) and another male associate. Very vertical nice place; I felt comfortable- they are professional, friendly, easily entreatable and great on prices. Top notch quality service and no price inflation; Greg is upfront and honest with the customers. Would definitely recommend this shop ( Taylor Blvd) to anyone who need a good, price competitive, honest mechanic work done.. Honest feedback from Mr. Johnson.

I ve always had a very positive experience here! Excellent quality, quick service and very honest. I inquired a couple of times about brake pads but they insured me that mine were still great! I ended up needing brakes about a year and a half later. Last year we had a transmission that needed to be rebuilt in a 2009 Subaru Forester and brought it to Cottman based on their reviews. Greg and his team were sympathetic to the huge repair bill I was going to have, and looked for any way to safely save money. We also went ahead and replaced the timing belt and water pump based on the mileage. Having never been there before I called a few places to check that their estimate for that wasn't too much. The price was right in line with other reputable shops. 1 year later the transmission is still shifting as it should. Recently the same car had several other issues come up and I decided to try a shop down the street for diagnostics. Some of the numbers seemed a bit steep, so I took the car to Cottman for a second opinion. Greg, John and crew confirmed the issues, but the cost of the repairs seemed on par with my Google searches and I really felt comfortable having the work done there. I told them I need the car to be able to take a trip to Chicago and back, and they listed everything out in order of importance/ safety. To some it up, when we drop our cars off at Cottman, I don't feel like I'm being up sold a bunch services the vehicle doesn't need. We had 3 different cars with major issues last fall and Cottman was able to help us with all of them. They were professional and did a great job communicating with us and performed quick service (especially considering that every auto shop at the time was totally backed up). I needed a replacement transmission, also a radiator & ball joints. Greg & his team at Cottman did an outstanding job at a fair market price. No, wasn't cheap, but WAS very well worth it. You want to "cheap out" with some sketchy shop, prepare for headaches & to wind up paying MORE in the end. I honestly can t say ENOUGH great things about the folks here at Cottman. Had to have the transmission replaced in my 2015 GMC Yukon. I m EXTREMELY happy with the the whole experience at Cottman. I HIGHLY recommend this location..you won t find nicer people or better customer service.

I ve recently had my water pump charged it by Cottmans. I ve never had to really leave my car any where so I was nervous. Dallas us who I dealt with the entire time which was comforting knowing that one person was staying up to date with your vehicle s. I recorded a phone call daily explaining what was happening that day. I appreciated that because I m a worrier. Yes i would recommend Cottmans. If anything ever goes wrong with my car again I m going to Cottmans. Great people and great customer service!!! Also the water pump comes with a 1 year warranty which never hurts!!!! Thank you Dallas & Cottmans!!! We are so happy to have our car back. Thank you for always going the extra mile to ensure our car was safe for us and our 3 babies & thank you for seats keeping us up to date with what was happening just an over all HUGE THANK YOU!!
