AAMCO was fast and efficient. The owner John and gen manager Jeff are two of the kindest people you will ever meet and very professional . They were easy to communicate with and kept us updated. We are thankful for the quality of service provided and highly recommend this shop.

The AAMCO on Breckenridge Ln. is the best, my E350 MB transmission tune up was done correctly, fast and at a great price. The lady at the front desk was very professional, pleasant and easy to communicate with. The overall experience and quality of work was unmatched. Highly recommend this shop.

The team at AAMCO was absolutely wonderful. They were perfectly organized and communicative from the moment I called with car trouble to the moment I left the parking lot. They were very quick and even called me to let me know that one of the parts I was potentially going to have to have replaced, was fine saving me hundreds. I cannot recommend them enough!I will be a customer again and again!!

I called Armco with concerns about my Jeep and The staff at Aamco On 126 Breckenridge LnLouisville, KY were just fantastic. They listened to the issues that I was feeling before test driving and confirming what I felt. Then they offered different choices to how to go forward to get my Jeep moving smoothly again in a quick turn around. Thanks guys

Excellent service and honest and fair pricing. Recently I went to get an oil change and had some problems I wanted them to look over. I ALWAYS expect a problem, sometimes real, sometimes fake, from a mechanic, many giving lists of problems that aren't immediate. I was told there were no issues, and advice on how to navigate the issues I noticed, which were likely just idiosyncrasies in my vehicle.

Love this AAMCO location, and definitely recommend them. I ve been coming here for a number of years now and have no plan to go elsewhere for my vehicle needs as long as I m in the Louisville area. They are available when in need, they are honest, kind, and a place that I trust as a whole.

Great people all around! Very kind office staff Shelley and Jeff who talked me through what was going on and were very patient with me. The technician, Joe, who handed over my keys was also very nice and made sure I was informed about my car before driving away. Wow! Finally an auto repair place where I felt confident that my car was in good hands. The service manager Jeff clearly has a lot of experience and explained in clear terms what the issue was with my car (air conditioning compressor & timing solenoid) and the repairs were successfully made within the timeframe he gave me. And the receptionist Shelly was friendly, professional, and a pleasure to work with.Definitely recommend them and they will now be my go to for any issues with my or my wife's car.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Air conditioning

Great experience with them and very friendly staff! I dropped my car off after hours and they had diagnosed and fixed my thermostat housing board in two days. They are also in network with SilverRock insurance so I didn t have to pay a dime out of pocket except for an oil change. AAMCO St. Matthews was fantastic! They replaced the transmission in my 2014 Ford Escape, which had 69,000 miles. When I took my car to a few other auto shops before, I couldn't get a consistent answer about what was wrong with the transmission. Jeff and Shelly at AAMCO took excellent care of me and my vehicle. Previously, I had issues getting the transmission repair covered by my warranty company. I went in expecting to have to pay for the replacement of my transmission out of pocket. Jeff was fantastic; he contacted my warranty company again, got the claim reopened, and convinced them to pay for the repair. It took a little over a month for them to figure out the details with my warranty provider, but the repair was done quickly once they did. Their communication with me was also excellent. I got updates at least twice a week on what was going on. They answered my questions promptly and provided me with their best�recommendations for what to do. I was really impressed by how much effort and time they put into getting my car fixed and covered. I could tell that AAMCO truly values its customers and their experience. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others in the future!Service: Transmission

The owner and employees are very friendly, and truthful about time and cost estimates. They warned me ahead of time that on the date of my availability the service would take several hours. It did. I found out that other businesses in the neighborhood are also really friendly & owned by caring people. Shout out to Bruegger's Bagels who not only let me sip my tea undisturbed for a very long time, but were kind and compassionate to a man with disabilities and mopped up and replaced the coffee he spilled as though he was their valued guest, more than a customer, and to the beautiful "dwellings" furniture store, which looks a whole lot like an art gallery, who offered me a water & a chance to wait out the rain for a bit after I looked around, even though I wasn't buying right then. Great older business neighborhood full of much appreciated hospitality and charm.Service: Brakes

In the two days of having my car back, it seems perfect. Guess I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. Aammco was able to tell me it wasn't a crack in my Transmission but still a leak. Easy fix. If I needed a payment plan that was an option for me. Jessica was awesome and informative. As of right now I would definitely recommend Aammco and will. Thanks Aammco on Breckinridge ln, you guys rock!

I had both of my front wheel bearings replaced and an exhaust leak I had in a hose they replaced/ fixed. They re always great with getting me in and out as quick as possible, they re the only mechanics I trust. Always honest upfront, trustworthy, and I don t have to worry about going through and checking the work I have done to make sure it s done right. 10/10 recommendServices: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance

Had my transmission replaced in December 2022. One month later I was experiencing the exact same problem with my vehicle. I took it back to the same Aamco location thinking I was covered under my 18 month/18,000 miles warranty. To my surprise they discovered that it was a different issue, although my vehicle was experiencing the exact same problem. Next thing you know I am out another eight hundred plus dollars. The one positive is that they got my vehicle back to me in one day, so I was appreciative of that fact. But, I still feel abused for paying more money for the same problem. Now I m just hoping to get through a couple of months without the same problem occurring again. I couldn t with a good conscious recommend this company to anyone.Service: Transmission

Shelly is the best. I would have lost my mind if not for her calming explanation of the problem I was having. There were some bumps in the road that she navigated me through flawlessly. The AAMCO team took their time, were very thorough, and the precision used to pinpoint the issue was NEXT LEVEL! Quality counts! I will ALWAYS PAY for quality craftsmanship, no matter the cost. I had to come back a second time to have more work done Jeff was amazing! and the lady at the front desk. They kept in contact with me on what was needing to be done and it was done in less then 1 week a clutch motor work. I took my 2008 Ford Explorer to the dealership multiple times. Every time I did it was a 6 week wait, and the repairs were expensive and never completely resolved. A friend told me about AAMCO, and they were able to get me in within a week and resolved all my issues. The were kind and courteous. I did have to call them once to get an update the first time I went, but they always answered and it hasn't been an issue since. I will forever take my vehicles here!

We were quoted by two other establishments and decided to get one more opinion. Glad we did. AAMCO was more than 1,000 dollars cheaper than the two other quotes. In addition, they gave options and let us know what was necessary to fix now and what we could wait to fix. AAMCO was fantastic with my F150. It needed a new rear end put in. They answered my questions in a timely manner and gave me their best recommendations with sound explanations to back them up. A couple of years ago I was experiencing intermittent brake & starter issues. For over a year I took it to a Ford dealer many times and they could not find the problem. After just one trip to Aamco they were able to diagnose the issue and had it repaired and ready the next day. I ve been going there ever since. Jeff is always very friendly and explains all repairs and prices prior to starting the work. I highly recommend them!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

I visited this AAMCO after dealing with at least 4 different places in the last few months that all made me feel as if all mechanics were just going to be untrustworthy. However Jeff and his team definitely proved to be different than any of them. He was honest, he didn t try to sell me more things or encourage me to get more things fixed then what I actually needed, I felt like my car was thoroughly looked at not just popping the hood and glancing at things, he always returned my calls and called me exactly when he told me he would, he had diagnosis and repairs done in the exact time frames he said they would be done, he took time to answer any questions I had, explained things in detail, and never had an attitude or acted as if my concerns were stupid or treated me as if I didn t know anything at all about a vehicle like the other places had! He truly has no idea how much I appreciate that because we have been looking for someone we could actually trust to fix a few different vehicles for over a year now. I definitely recommend this place especially if honesty is a top priority for you. I ve already told multiple ppl how great my experience was and recommended them to take their vehicles here if they need work done and I will definitely be taking our other vehicles here as well!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning
