Life With The Wood's

Good place to have in a small town but I've gone back to them multiple times because I received the wrong part. Their computers are not accurate on alot of parts, especially if you have a mid-year model. Also, prices on alot of the store merchandise is very overpriced, and the employees didn't acknowledge me when I walked in or while I was shopping. Not impressed!

Very helpful and knowledgable, they take the time to try and understand what you are looking for & do their best to get it for you. The staff are very friendly, they insure that your parts are correct. If the parts that u need have to be ordered and the part received isnt correct or damaged in transit that its replaced.

Every since this location has opened it's been my only stop. I even buy their house brand tools. They are relatively knowledgeable, and can look up, and warranty parts very quickly and efficiently.

Just a little background....I am an ASE Advanced Level, Master Tech. I have been working on vehicles, mostly light trucks and cars professionally, since 1992. I have worked at new car dealerships and independent shops. I have managed service departments and currently own a repair facility in Liberty KY. Before I came back to my hometown, I lived and worked in major cities in TN., Nashville and Clarksville. I was briefly employed at O'Reilly Autoparts, maybe 15 years ago in TN.I suppose I am a little spoiled by the service I have received over the years from all the auto parts stores, AutoZone, Carquest (remember them), Advance, Napa etc. It seemed they all wanted and appreciated my business. Commercial business is a different world from the retail walk in customer. There is usually a dedicated phone line/person for the commercial customer. The parts are sold at a discount, delivered in a timely manner or at least a scheduled time. All of them have district and regional commercial sales support staff who come to your shop and bring flyers for information on new products, sales spiffs and promotional items which is a welcome visit most of the time. The O'Reilly store that serviced my shop in Clarksville, (Riverside Drive) was for the most part incredible. They had a few commercial sales changes over the years and somehow always managed to have good people to replace them. My Napa store was just behind my shop so it also was a great place to locate parts but O'Reilly was my (FirstCall) the majority of the time.Imagine my surprise when I began to deal with my local O'Reilly store 5056. At first it wasn't too bad. They had a great commercial sales representative, knowledgeable, proficient, used the limited amount of support and tools at her disposal very well. A longtime friend worked behind the counter. I had an early visit from the regional and district commercial sales representatives, all seemed well.Fast forward to today and to sum it up I will say this. All the things I have written about my past good if not great experiences with O'Reilly Autoparts are non existent here. No dedicated commercial staff, poor if any delivery services, the ability to pick up the phone, give the needed information to the counter person, (my friend still works there, I am thankful for that help at least. Thanks Lewis!) and receive the correct part, not likely. Also the promise of parts arriving at the store from either the Hub store or a SS (surrounding store) when expected falls to the wayside most times. I am resigned to spending time I do not have to look up and cross reference my own part numbers to guarantee a correct part. I still want to have the convenience I get at times from having a local O'Reilly store and they are not my only choice. Thankfully there is a Napa store in town and the loyal Hometown Autoparts. Which is more and more where I procure my autoparts, or online, like most people these days. You may ask why this is. My take on it is simple. The store is mostly out of stock. They are understaffed because their pay is not inline with other auto parts chains. Except for a few rare occasions (welcome William{Tim} ) the revolving door of counter personnel for the most part have been inadequately trained, poorly managed, and possess a small amount of, if any, automotive knowledge. They are a small town store, maybe left out in the cold by their corporate management. It is a shame a company as large as O'Reilly cares so little about their footprint in my hometown.

Poor customer service skills and no knowledge of vehicles. If it isn't on their computer, they haven't a clue. There were 3 other customers in the store, we all ended up going to Napa

Manager, red haired guy, very rude and lacks good customer service. Paul's Hometown is by far the best customer service you will get.
