Had an appointment at 1:00 on Wednesday and got there and they didn't even know who or why I was there but acted like they were doing me a favor for getting my vehicle in. He started it up got the thingy they plug to diagnose and said it was in bad shape. Blah blah 6 days later they have to take the entire engine apart and haven't started cause they don't have a rack and tells me it could be a few days longer but will get to it as quickly as they can. Ridiculous and unacceptable but what can I do.... really...it's still there. I can't get over the gimmicks and nonchalantly ripping someone off with not only money but time as well.

Had my vehicle serviced here. Had Brian as an advisor and his customer service was great. He stayed in contact with me, giving updates on parts ETA and progress on repairs up until my vehicle was ready for pick up. Vehicle running smooth again. Thanks Brian and the rest of the service department team.

Absolute crooks. Purchased a used vehicle from them and had a sensor issue couple years later. Had a service appt at 9am, dropped it off at 8:30am, and didn't hear from them until we called late afternoon to check on it. Around 3:30/4 pm they finally said it was the 'battery' and it wouldn't be done so had to leave my car overnight. For a battery replacement?? The technician told me over the phone it would be $170 and $30 for labor. When I pick it up the next morning they tell me my total is over $600. He failed to tell me that price over the phone didn't include the battery! I agreed to the $200 price, they did the work, and now I'm stuck with having to pay triple that. We get regular oil changes and service from them to keep the power train warranty on the vehicle, so why was the battery issue not discovered until now?Service: Battery

Over priced. Don t waive diagnostic fee when work is preformed with them. Cost me $1500 for a thermostat. They left a vacuum hose loose and caused my check engine light to come on. When I took it back they didn t want to help. They wanted me to pay another $265 diagnostic fee and be without a vehicle. I had to pay a diagnostic fee somewhere else to figure out their problem.

Had my differentials serviced and was told my brake pads were critically low and near unsafe to drive. They would happily do my front brake pads alone for the low price of $580 pre tax. So I go to do them myself same day and see that it was literally just a cash grab trick.

We are out of towners and had an issue with our 2020 Blazer. The steering assist notification popped up. Rod Hatfield service department was able to diagnose and fix the issue getting us back on the road in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks for the assist.

My mother had the worse experience. She took her car there and they told her the work that needed to be done was an 8hr job. They had her car for almost 3 weeks with NO explanation. We both called up there several times only to be told her service rep was gone to lunch and will call back, no one called. Then they told us they had to fire the service rep. I am not sure what is going on with these big businesses but if the money is all you want you got it. No Customer retention here!

Never had an issue with the truck until I took it here for a routine brake pad replacement a little over a year ago. 6 months after that brake replacement entire wheel nearly detached from the truck. Took it back to get it repaired, only to have the same issue happen another few months later. Went to a different dealership that had it repaired correctly but warned me that I d need new rotors soon (as I was out of town at the time). Went back to these people a few months later when the brakes went out only to have them charge an insane amount of money for the pad, rotor and caliper replacement. Tried to work out a deal with the manager for a few extra days to pay the full amount and was informed id be charged a storage fee of $45 per day. If that s service department, I can only imagine how bad sales is. Just your typical shady mechanic masquerading as a legitimate business, who likely caused the issues with my wheel in the first place (not that I d ever get an admission of fault or compensation for that ofc). Avoid like the plague. Don t buy your car here, and definitely don t get it worked on here.EDIT: Ended up taking it back 3 months later for the same problem. They begrudgingly honored their warranty but blamed it on brake shoes I'd replaced a couple days before. Apparently some newbie worked on it and they kept it for another week and charged me an extra 211.75 for the labor. Couple days later, the truck wouldn't start! Feared the worst until I checked the battery terminal connections. Negative terminal was loose. Gosh, wonder who could have done that? /s avoid like the plague.Service: Brakes

Hello,I would like to be able to give a star lower than one for the service I received here this morning. If you want to waste money and time, this is the perfect spot for that. I called them two weeks ago to schedule an appointment for an oil change and maintenance, they told me the price was less than $30. After going to my appointment I received a bill for over $50 for an oil change and "maintenance". The maintenance report showed the car has no problems, although my car has been diagnosed at other companies with major problems (alternator going bad, two parts going bad under both front tires, front brakes need to be changed). Not to mention that the front light was not working during the time of the inspection, they did not even report the bad light on the maintenance report. When I brought this up to customer service manager today, he obviously did not care about my concerns simply stating "I'll take care of it". I am not sure how he was going to take care of it as he did nothing for while I was there today and did not provide me with any further instructions regarding the situation.Very poor customer service,If anyone wants any additional information about this to support my claims feel free to email me, I have my report from this company today and I have reports when I had the tires changed around a year ago when they noticed the broken parts under both front tires. The parts were not changed, yet this failed to flag on the maintenance report today.

Very long wait while they are servicing the vehicle. And they don't seem to want to help you. I will never buy another car from Rod Hatfield because of the service department

Chris from the service team went above and beyond yesterday to ensure I was satisfied with Chevrolets commitment to customer satisfaction. They made a mistake not recognizing my vehicle was a certified pre-owned and attempted to charge me for my first oil change however, he corrected this and was up front about it. He then talked to the sales team and had them comp my alignment for all my troubles.Fantastic cars, people, & place - highly recommend, they'll take care of ya :)Services: Tire rotations, Wheel alignment, Oil change

Overall, my experience was a poor one but, there were a couple of things the service shop did that swayed my rating to 3 stars vs 1 star. My Chevy Colorado truck was in the shop for a clutch repair and it was 3 weeks before I got the truck back.I won't be able to provide all of the details of my experience with accuracy because almost all of the communication throughout the entire process was done over the phone. I don't have records to reference for accuracy which is one of the pain points I have with the process.Good communication goes a long way and it felt like I was pulling teeth to get updates. I realize there are many factors that affect timelines (including supply chain issues and ice storms in KY) but I expect those delays to be communicated with estimated adjusted completion dates. Frankly it felt like there was a disconnect between the customer service representative and the mechanic (or service technician) because every time I requested for an updated timeline it seemed as though customer service was reluctant to confirm that information with the mechanic. The price tag was also high but I think that is typical of dealership service shops. After a frustrating 3 weeks without my vehicle, I was happy to have it back and repaired nicely. It runs great! I'm willing to look past the grease rag left in the cab, and the grit stains left on my upholstery after the service shop followed up with a "how are we doing?" phone call. That was a good move and one of the reasons I bumped my rating up at all. One other positive note is that I was assured the customer service representative was doing the best to their abilities and I appreciate that. I just hope the shop will improve on these topics in the future. In the meantime, I will be going to Sutherland Chevy the next time my vehicle needs service.Services: Transmission, Wheel alignment

Great place to get a prepurchase inspection on a car before you buy! We took one in from a super small dealer, and within a few minutes they were able to detect a major problem with the engine timing.

Not the greatest experience here. Was going to be in town and wanted to get an oil change. I scheduled the appointment for 1:20 and arrived a few minutes before. The staff were friendly and came right out to help. They showed me a sheet of a bunch of upsell stuff but I said I just wanted an oil change and tire rotation. About an hour fifteen later it was done. $98 dollars for this basic service . The part that frustrates me is they showed the price of all these extra services but not how much the oil change was going to cost. I assumed (my fault) that it would be the same as other Chevy service places but almost $100 for this is just not a good value. They really should tell you how much it costs beforehand. And for almost $100 it should not take over an hour with an appointment.

Experience for oil changes has been excellent but I ve brought two issues to their attention and the response I received was less than satisfactory. I have very squeaky brakes on a year old car. They said everything looked good and I would need to adjust to the sound of the brakes. The brakes still squeak and grind. This time there is a squealing like a fan belt that only seems to occur when the ac is on. I was told they didn t hear anything and that perhaps I would have to wait until it quit working. Neither of these responses are satisfactory when a car is less than a year old and under warranty.Service: Oil change

My significant other dropped her car off on Tuesday to get it fixed and they called back on Thursday and said they We re about to start working on it and she would have it by Friday. They call Friday morning stating they had lost her key and if she needed it for the weekend she needed to come pick it up and drop it back off Monday. Just ridiculous service, never even heard of that. Car dealership mechanics are the absolute worse and just negligent at their jobs. Go to a regular mechanic and stay away from dealerships. That s what we are doing from this point on. I have a Ford and Paul miller is just as bad. I m just saying this cause she s too nice and wouldn t.

Watch your prices when you are buying a vehicle. Their internet prices and actual sales price are several grand off from each other. We ve had this done to us twice. The second time we walked away. The car on the internet that I tried was $27,450. When we went to try for the loan they said they made a deal with us. The car was $31,000 and that they gave us a discount to $30,000. When I showed them what they had on the internet they said that it was the wrong price. This makes twice that they had done this too us. As far as my oil change they did great with it. Needless to say I traded my vehicle to Dan Cummins and now I have no dealing with them at all.

Adam was my service rep. and I think George was the tech. Nice thing George had an issue kind of like what I was dealing with and suggested looking at something different. In doing this he found issues from a past wreck that the body shop did not repair correctly. So It turned into an insurance issue where I had to take back the the body shop. If he would have not looked at this I could have been spending much more than needed. Thank you for their hard work.Services: Electrical repair, Vehicle Inspection

The guy that acually checked us out and took our payment was pretty cool so we had no issue with his performance because he was pleasant to talk to and answered our questions.... It was his coworker who was standing next to him who is always cocky and rude and trying to over talk people . Im assuming hes in management. The last 2 times ive dealt with him ,his additude sucks.. Pretty sure its why no one wants to come there . I tried to explain to him that the chevy dealership told me I could take my car to any place that was certified that it would protect my warranty and I didnt have to bring it to rodhatfield for a oil change and he went into some topic saying id loose my warranty.. Hes just rude .. Not sure his name but he was with the guy who took my payment . I definitely will not go back and pretty sure ill never buy another car there again after this .Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

Wish I had asked friends for recommendations of reputable GM Service Centers to go to for an oil change and tire rotation - my mistake! Thinking all dealers are held to the same high standards I ended up paying almost double (after discount) compared to like service at other dealers. I will not go back if I cannot help it!

This dealership won t fix your vehicle and they won t call you back.I have a brand new 2020 suburban that the air conditioning continues to break. Rod Hatfield, specifically ADAM was the second person to look at it. Found the issue and ensured it was the fix. This fix lasted 4 days. I called back every day for a week to try to talk to Adam about this. How can no one figure out what is wrong with my brand new truck? It is now broke 3 different times- what do we do now? But Adam never called me back. He was either out or busy when I called. I left a message for him every single time. This dealership won t fix your vehicle and they won t call you back. Do not trust them.BTW Adam if you read this: it was the condenser. An issue that every Tahoe and Suburban is having right now due I poor manufacturing. Took someone- who doesn t work for Chevy to figure that out in 30 seconds.

I have had my vehicle serviced here a hand full of times for oil changes only and some we're scheduled and some we're not scheduled. They been pretty good about the wait times for me except 1 or 2 times I think I waited a couple of hours for an oil changed but it was unscheduled. But overall I'm happy with the service so far.

I had an issue with my car's water pump that was causing it to leak coolant. I initially took my car for an oil change and inspection and was disappointed when told everything was fine. About a week later however I was personally called back by the service department at Rod Hatfield and they wanted to take a closer look at my car. This was when they found the issue and fixed it for me.I was shocked that anyone would take the time to call back and make sure everything was right with my car. I have never before have had such a great experience at a service department at any dealership. I had assumed at the time that I was going to have to go look at another service place to get my car checked again. I really appreciated how much the people at Rod Hatfield's Service department took to make sure everything was right with my car. Everyone there was extremely helpful and they made a customer for life out of me.I highly recommend this place to anyone who owns a Chevrolet. Out of the various local dealerships and mechanics in town and surrounding cities this is by far the best.
