The manager JC filed a claim with our warranty company. We chose not to have the service done there and picked up the vehicle. He refused to reverse the claim with the warranty company and said I don t have to do nothin despite the fact they did not do any work to the vehicle.

They do inefficient work, and then do not stand behind their work when the same issue happens. They are refusing to fix an issue that is warrantied. JC ( the manager) and one of the service techs are both intimidating and hostile. I am attempting to deal with this thru corporate customer service. Will update.

I've always felt like the folks at this location won't try to take advantage of the fact that I'm young and a woman, which is far better than I get at the dealership (so I avoid the dealership and service my car exclusively here). Case in point: last summer my AC went out. Took it here so they could run some dye through it and find the leak. Was charged what I thought was a reasonable price for the labor to do that, and they also temporarily fixed the AC (a permanent fix would come once the dye had had time to run through the AC). They told me to come back the following week so they could check where exactly the leak was. When I returned, the tech said, "We've found the leak, but I actually suggest that you do nothing for now because the temporary fix will last for a while." And it did. I returned this summer once the AC finally went out again, and they completed the permanent fix free of charge.I've also been pleased with Jae Cee in particular. He's kind and funny. I hope he and his team get a raise if they show this to whoever determines their salaries!

STAY AWAY. Probably some of the worst customer service I ve ever received. After a week and two visits, sure my alignment is fixed at no charge, but it appears another issue has creeped up that didn t occur until my second visit. Now I m out over a grand and having to take my vehicle to another mechanic. I m not one to write such negative reviews, but I m NEVER going to Ken Towery again.

Jay Cee was so cordial and friendly. I had my tires rotated on my Tesla. The job was completed without any issues and I was on my way in no time! I am a repeat customer and I highly recommend his services. And tire rotation is free! It s a win win business!Service: TiresService: Tires

My name is Armand Roberts, I visited Ken Towery s at 1512 Pleasant Ridge Drive in lexington KY on 6/03/23. I was told I needed plugs and coils for my 2015 ford explorer. I agreed to have service done. Days later i was called and told that a new problem had started and coils were burning out and it was the ECM that was causing issues and needed to be fixed at FORD. I was charged 405.45 and was told that truck was not drivable and needed tow to ford. I took vehicle to ford where they inspected ECM and found no issues. The issues were with the tune up parts Ken Towery put into my vehicle. They were not compatible. I paid ford for tune up and returned parts to Ken towery for a full refund. I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED MY REFUND. ManagerJoel Caraballo insured me that it would be 5-10 days. Its been closer to 30 days. Mr. Caraballo was rude and dismissive about my refund not being issued when i returned to store last week. He gave me a 1800 number to call to pursue matters further. Of course no one answered when I called. Terrible service and a terrible shop manager.

I felt pretty defeated when trying to figure out what was wrong with my tire. I had first gone to Costco and was turned away. I m not local to Lexington so I wasn t sure where to go at first and Ken Towery was the closest option for me. I pulled in and explained what was going on from the second I got there until the second I left, I felt like they were 110% going above and beyond to take care of us. They were incredibly helpful and kind and of course knew exactly how to fix my tire. I will be coming back to this location and won t even consider Costco next time. So thankful I ended up at this Ken Towery location and would highly recommend them!!

Choose any other tire place. I got my tires replaced last July. They ripped a hole in the leather of my seat with a screw driver and assured me they would take care of it. I went and got a quote as they asked me to do and I have called and gone in person to get details on what to do next and every time they tell me they re going to call their insurance and they ll call me. It s now March and still nothing. They give me fake promises every single time. Go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

Scheduled appt, could not perform work because they forgot to order the part, next trip they did not have the right tool, then after the 3rd attempt they gave it back to me with dash sensors warnings. Turns out, they damaged a break pad sensor and told me to bring it back in. When I brought it back in (4th time), the guy and especially his son-in-law treated me like it was my fault, blamed it on work another garage did on a completely different part of the car. Oh, and my expensive sunglasses went missing during their multiple inspections of the car. I never post bad reviews but it's not surprising their website no longer takes customer reviews and it's not surprising the shop is always empty.

I had been here a few years ago and had a good experience and opted to try them again. I had an appointment nearby and had every intention of dropping the car off and just getting the work done and almost gave them free rein to do what was needed for a simple brake job rotors, pads and one caliper. I had done my research and had an idea of what the going price should be. Thankfully I did not has the entirely empty lobby and parking lot gave me a bad feeling and I decided to wait on the emailed estimate. The file when you finally arrived was corrupted and I was given an over the phone quote of $1175 for what at most should be about a $600 repair. Needless to say I had the work done by a garage nearer to home for under a third of that cost which also came with a warranty. Even accounting for the convenience of their location a very bad taste was left in my mouth and I will not be back nor will I recommend this garage to anyone. I do not know what the problem is or if management has changed but there is a reason it is empty and Tire Discounters next door is packed full.Prior review:This location managed to fit me in on a Friday (today as I post from their lobby) afternoon in Hamburg for a nail through my tire tread when four other businesses in Lexington were completely full and unwilling to accommodate me. The fifth call put me through to the Old Todd's road location where Wayne was willing to fit me in but suggested trying this location first as they've usually got less traffic. Both locations couldn't have been more helpful and considerate of my time when I know my minor emergency pushed their Friday over when anyone would want to be at work. It's now past closing time and they're just finishing up and I'm so grateful for their help.

I had a tire going flat and my Jeep. I thought I needed to buy a new tire. I couldn't believe the tire was flat as it was relatively new when purchased at another store. They took my Jeep evaluated everything and returned it to me. I asked what the charge was and they told me it was zero. Someone had partially unscrewed the valve stem on my tire possibly deliberately. They inspected all my tires for air pressure and any problems gave me an okay and let me go for free. It was the honesty that impressed me. I have purchased tires from Ken Towery's previously and they always are professional and honest dealers. I will continue to do business with them. Honesty is always the best policy.

Ken Towery s on Pleasant Ridge has earned me as a loyal customer. The store manager JayCee is courteous, honest and is determined to, in his own words, take care of his customers. The staff checked, and double checked, my vehicle following a tire issue and noted an issue I should keep an eye on instead of suggesting an immediate fix. It s good to have a trusted, local business to rely on.

I brought in my tire/wheel off the car. That s why updates, etc . We re not needed. I had to replace one tire due to sidewall damage. JC and the staff were great! Informative, honest, and a shop I will most definitely visit again when my tire needs arise.

Been using Ken Towery's for years. Went in for a vibration after routine maintenance from a Toyota DEALERSHIP. These guys found and fixed an unbalanced wheel super quickly and at no cost! Great guys over there, highly recommend.

Had some brake problems and went to another shop down the street where my warranty had just run out a few days before and I was quoted for an extreme amount and lots of work.Took my vehicle to this shop and the crew quickly diagnosed the problem and found I didn t need half of the work I was quoted before. They did everything to make my vehicle safe and save me money. Definitely warned all of my future business! The manager was phenomenal

I recently had a standard oil change and requested no tire rotation. To my pleasant surprise, a complete visual check of my brakes, tires, fluids, belts and filters was performed and the results were provided on my receipt. Excellent service.

After being stranded on the roadside with a blowout, we received the best service at this tire shop! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. They discussed repair options and searched for the best deals! Because of the quality service we received, we were able to make it back to Northern WI safely!

This particular Ken Towery location is always so friendly and loves my business. One time, I was in a pinch and this location literally saved the day. It was a Friday evening, about 15 minutes until typical closing time, and I had planned to leave out early the next morning on a long trip. Of course, I had a nail in my tire. I called a few other locations and they were all (understandably) done for the evening and not taking any more customers. Some locations were even rude about me daring to call right before they were about to close. However, this location was very friendly on the phone and was eager to get my tire all fixed up. Once I arrived, they didn t express any of the typical it s Friday evening and quitting time sentiments you understandably get from most employees around that time. They got right to my tire and had me right back out the door. Very friendly staff. I ve visited this location many times since then. Consistently good places are hard to come by. Now that I am in Kentucky more frequently, this is the only service location I will be using.

Seeing all the recent good reviews, I am wondering if they pay to have good reviews written, or if I just went on a REALLY off day for them. Here is my experience:I took my car in with a donut on the driver's side front tire. The flat tire I removed had a broken valve AND a puncture. The problem was easily communicated and, luckily, they had a matching tire in my size in stock. I was quoted a new tire for $148 and signed for it. I was not given an approximate wait time, but there were only two other people in the waiting room, and it was a single tire replacement, so I figured it would be no big deal. After the first hour, only one of the people ahead of me had been finished and left. The other customer was informed that they had gotten the wrong measurements from her vehicle on her previous visit and ordered the wrong size of tire. I never once heard them apologize or admit fault. She was still waiting when I left. The chances to get any updates on my vehicle were few and far between. There was almost never anyone behind the desk and the few times there were, they were discussing their mistakes with another customer. After a two hour wait, I got fed up of sitting in the waiting room and told them to call me when my car was ready so I could get some fresh air. When I walked out of the the building, my car was sitting, finished, in the lot. No idea how long it had been there (you can't see the front lot from most of the seats in the waiting area because of the product displays). I inspected the vehicle to find that they had not replaced my tire, but replaced the valve stem (the desk worker called it a "sensor") on my damaged tire that I brought in.I went back inside and had to wait for a desk worker to return to bring attention to the fact that my car was sitting out front, apparently finished. When he returned with the paperwork, he let me know that they had replaced the valve. They wanted $121 for the repair. When I pointed out the puncture, they offered to patch the puncture for an additional $20, which would bring my total for a patched and repaired tire to $141. The new tire was the same brand and matched my other tires, so it was not as if patching the old tire would keep me in a higher quality tire, or be aesthetically more pleasing. I told them that I was not going to drive out of there with a patched up, old tire for a $7 savings and let them know that I was leaving with that new tire. So I had to wait an additional hour to get the new tire put on, putting me at a grand total of three hours wait for a single tire replacement. Now, I understand that asking for steep discounts when you are angry or dissatisfied is the norm, but I held my tongue, because I used to work in sales. I know that a loss on a sale can cost people their jobs, and I didn't want to cause trouble. Throughout the whole experience I didn't yell, curse, or cause a scene. I did speak sternly to the desk worker when they suggested that I get the old tire patched for an additional $20. But, in my defense, I thought that was warranted. However, when the time came to check out, I did expect some sort of offer or apology. I got my wish. Before I swiped my card, the desk worker let me know they gave me $1 off for the mistake. No joke. Three hours and $147 later, I will never return to Ken Towery's in Hamburg.(Edit:) After getting a response from the owner (see below) I reached out to the number provided to discuss my experience. The number and extension went to an automated phone system where I had to choose where I thought my complaint should be filed. I was confused since the response to my review used the personal pronoun "I" like the number went to the owner, themselves. I chose "guest services" and despite being told by the automation that I was "first in the queue" managed to stay on hold for five minutes with no answer. At that point I decided that I had waited long enough on my visit the other day and would not wait a minute longer. Once again, Ken Towery's you leave me underwhelmed with your customer service.

Came at 5:00 pm kn 10/13 nico and ricky were great they got my car in and on the alignment rack and aligned it. The store was closing by that time, i drove out down the road car was pulling extremely hard to the right and the steering was still off center. Ricky told me to bring it back as many times as i needed. Brought the car back after work on 10/14 3:07 pm. Store manager was extremely rude about the whole process said he was going to drag me out of the store so that escalated things, and police came refund was never given and now my alignment is out of wack.

John was great to work with and had the best price I could find on the tires I was looking for. We dropped our car off assuming it would be several hours before it was done, but John called an hour later to let us know the car was ready to pick up. This is the second set of tires I have gotten from Ken Towery and will continue to use them in the future.

I called to schedule an appt. for a second opinion. Told me to drop my Taurus off night before so it could be worked on first thing the next morning (which would be Friday). Had to call at 10 to find out what had been found, which they hadn t even looked at it yet. Around 1130 they told me the bad control arm/bushings that I had taken it in for were still good and there were no breaks in the bushing and that I needed new inner tie rods instead. They did confirm that my rear shocks needed to be replaced. I gave them the go ahead and confirmed it would not be an issue to have it completed by end of day at 6. I was told I would receive an itemized list by email and never did. I get a phone call at 5:15 saying the parts they ordered and matched to my VIN didn t fit my vehicle, they needed SHO parts on my SE. So now we re looking at Saturday about 1030-11am for pick up. We were heading out of town that day. We ended up having to rent a vehicle. No phone call on Saturday. Come Monday I still don t get a call. I called at about 9 and they had no answers of whether it was done or not. Called at 10, vehicle was done but now something else is wrong that wasn t there prior. Saying it was my rack and pinion- I had no issues with my steering. Told me they would call an hour later with an update, which would have been about 12. I got a phone call around 330-4 that it wasn t my tie rods that were bad, it s my engine mounts. So they took the new tie rods off and put old back on. Told them I didn t want anything else done and went to pick it up. Drove it home and engine light came on. Upon having another mechanic look at it, my control arm bushings are bad. Horrible experience, unprofessional and and I was left uninformed while my vehicle was there.

JC and his team at 1512 Pleasant Ridge Drive, Lexington, KY 40509; got us in immediately to look at a computer issue on our 2014 Ram Eco Diesel. They were able to diagnosis & resolve our issue quickly and get us back on the road. Dog friendly too with a comfortable waiting room for me to work remotely.
