I had a flat tire at 2 am. I slept in the car until the store opened. The gentleman on duty greeted me and informed me that he had no help scheduled until 8 am. He then said that it would probably be later because that employee was usually late. He got his morning managers call around 7:30-7:45. Goals go team go etc. As a former service manager I felt sorry for him. Some things never change. Sell your alignments, road hazard etc. Call all your customers. Oh and by the way you don t have to waste your time sending in your store numbers anymore but you will be held accountable for all this stuff. First, morning reports to your district manager. I agree what a waste of time. Sending him numbers he can already see just so he knows you are looking at them. Good choice scraping that waste of your managers time. Second, I love how goals are set and people are basically threatened with accountability. Retail will never change. How in the hell is this poor guy supposed to do anything when his first employee doesn t hit the door until 9:30? Here s a goal. Have the district manager in that.store busting tires at 8:00 am instead of calling and setting goals. How about staffing the store as goal number 1. When I ran tire stores if I was short handed I was in the shop. I waited over 2 hours for 1 tire that I could have mounted and balanced in 15 minutes. Perhaps the corporate people setting the goals should come down into the trenches and see what is really happening in their stores.

Only posting this because the online survey asked me too. My steering wheel was shaky. Called and set an appointment. Took it in at that time and was told it would be ready in about 1.5hrs. About 3hrs later got a call saying it was ready. I understand that. However I hadn t even left the parking lot and the wheel was just as shaky as before. They told me a wheel balancing would fix it. However when I can back in not even 2 minutes later the presumably manager was on his way out and gave my key to an older gentleman (I didn t get any names). He said out loud and bluntly that it would be a waste of time cause my tires needed replacing. I was aggravated because he made it seem so obvious but no one had told me that s what I needed and they are the ones who suggested wheel balancing to fix the issue. The manager then came out with me and told me my tires were worn then hopped in his truck to leave. I then was more frustrated because I didn t understand why they hadn t just told me that was the issue right off hand and not waste an entire morning for me as well as money on the wheel balancing. I paid the $35 on my credit card and when I went back in the older gentleman told me he couldn t refund me cause he didn t have the cash. Told me to come back the next day for the cash. This was by far the most aggravating and confusing car shop experience I have ever had. When I asked the older man why they did the balancing he said he had a new tech and they just do what the customer asks. I don t know cars which is why I took it in and they suggested balancing. I then took my car and bought tires from tire discounters who were friendly, professional and fast.I never went back for my money because it was a waste of time. Also the manager even said he just left tire discounters and that he regretted the change. Disappointed that it not only wasted some money, wasted my time but that they take no pride in trying to actually fix the easy solution. If they had told me from the start that I needed new tires and a balancing wouldn t fix my issue I would ve been fine and bought tires because I understand that was casing my problem. This wasn t the case and I am still aggravated. Would never go back or recommend this shop to anyone.

These guys are awesome! I'm from out of town and was having a terrible day. My mother is in the UK hospital. I was there alone with a flat. They were the closest business to me. We called and they were locking up. It was past closing time by the time I made it there and they took me in anyway. Stayed late just to help me out. Super nice and professional. They are fast and great service. Thank you all for helping me out!

Yeah, we happen to stop in Lexington then at the stop and I would look for a back tire but they wanted to charge like 250 for one tire. I said no.

I took our car there because brakes were shuttering. They said we needed all new rotors and brake pads on our 2016 Sienna for about $900. I was never convinced we needed new rotors on such a new car but my husband was out of town and I was headed on a road trip with our kids so I agreed to it.I had a bad experience with customer service while I was there which is just a side note now to the story.Three months later our rotors are completely rusted and look terrible! I brought it back and they said "well, you aren't the only one to come here with that problem." I assumed that meant there had been a recall or something and they would fix it. He then explained to me why rotors rust and how it us normal. When I refused to accept that and said I haven't seen any other Siennas or other cars on the road with this problem he said it came to what material they were made of and the quality of the material, which told me they are selling customers cheap rotors that rust.He then blamed it on the Sienna have "open" wheels. I explained the rotors they took off that were 3 years old were not rusted and we haven't seen other Siennas with the problem. He had to make a private phone call and then said they would not replace the rotors because there was nothing wrong with the function, it was a cosmetic problem.He offered to order some black coating "that usually comes on rotors to prevent rusting" to coat them with. When I said, "so a better quality rotor would've had that coating on it to prevent rust, he said yes.So whatever you do, DO NOT buy rotors from them. He said I was one of many coming back complaining about their rusted rotors.A company that wants to correct a problem (whether functional or cosmetic) should replace the rotors when they appear like this after 3 months!UPDATE: An employee replied to me review making it sound like they wanted to make it right and asking me to come by. I stopped by with all five of my kids, and I was told that what I said was not true, they argued with me about what I was told the previous day by one of their employees saying it wasn't correct, and they insisted it was normal for my rotors to rust and I was being too picky. I showed them every other Toyota Sienna driving by did not have rusted rotors and they said I was not right about it. I let them know I only stopped by because they said over the phone they wanted to make it right. I did NOT stop by to fight with them about it and that was all he wanted to do.I called Ken Towery's trying to file a complaint higher up and the person on the phone was very sympathetic and said they would want to make it right but he would have to speak with a boss about how to proceed. When he got to me he let me know he had spoke to a boss higher up and was told they would not do anything about the rotors.I have attached a picture of the quality of rotors you will receive if you get them at Ken Towery's on Harrodsburg Rd. These are less than a year old in the photo.

Nick was extremely kind to me. He went the extra mile getting a tire expedited from another shop... he had someone go to pick it up, so it would be there and ready once I arrived.I also needed a cell phone charger...he provided that.He has great customer service, which seems to be lost these days and was just overall pleasant from our initial conversation on the phone, to the moment I left the building.Thank you Nick for your kindness towards me. It started off as a rough day but with your help the day turned out to be great.

I came here because it was recommended to me but I will never be coming here again. If there was no star rating I would chose that rating instead. I came here to purchase two new tires. The mechanic was originally supposed to install them for me, but later on was not able to because my car needed a lug nut key in order to take my tires off which was a piece they did not have. (My car is a Lexus ES350) So I settled with them and agreed to just go ahead and purchase the tires and go to Lexus so they could install my tires. This tire shop assured me they put my two tires I had purchased in my trunk only later to find out they never even put them in my car to begin with! I was at Lexus for about 2 hours when they told me they searched everywhere for my tires and no luck! I had to ask them to bring the tires to Lexus since I had no way of getting over there and picking up the tires myself. Very unprofessional and if you value your time please go anywhere else.

This auto repair shop is only for changing oil, tires or simple car maintenance. Never come if your have issues more than those. About 2 months ago, my car had a wire connection problem (later figured out by a Toyota dealer) and they charged me near $800 to replaced some unrelated parts and did not solve my problem at all. It's a shame they refused provide any compensation for my lost time and money!

Excellent experience and outstanding service made so by Katie, the assistant manager. She was the reason I was at Ken Towery - she took my original call, took the time to explain in detail my tire options, made recommendations when asked, ordered the tires and made sure everything went smoothly. Every business needs a Katie if it wants to thrive!! Will go back and would highly recommend!!!

My son is a student at UK. On a recent Sunday afternoon, his car died and needed to be towed. We decided to have it towed to Ken Towery s Tire & Auto Care because we had used them for an oil change in the past. We booked an appointment through their website to let them know the situation. They called on Monday morning to get the details and provided a quote later that day. The issue was an alternator and an old battery. They made the repair as promised but called to inform me that the mechanic doing the repair accidentally damaged a wiring harness in the process. They were upfront about this mistake and rectified the matter with no further charges to us. (They could have easily told me that the part was bad as it was in the same area as the alternator.) I appreciate their honesty and I highly recommend this company.

I ve been here multiple times in the past 2 years. The last 2 times, I was completely ripped off. Probably every time, and i am just now figuring it out. Way overcharged for parts because the labor was less than $50. But somehow the parts managed to be $600! I ve looked up these parts and made multiple calls about them and they cost nowhere near what I was charged. They take their sweet time getting a $46 labor job fixed and then altogether charge me $900 and have the audacity to get smart with me when I ask how it could possibly be so much and why do I pay more and more every time I come here. So unless you intend to rectify the situation and give me the money you have taken from me, I have no desire to have contact with anyone in that place. I just don t think you want any bad reviews out there and wanted me to call you so we can discuss this in private. So I can get jerked around some more? No thanks!

They treated me right. The day started off very badly. Flat tire on a brand new car on my way to work of course at FedEx. So I call ahead and ask, if I bring my wheel and tire over in the FedEx truck would they be willing to patch this tire since they didn t carry Bridgestone. He said yes so I brought it over and dropped it for the day. Go to leave work and come pick it up and he said the patch was on the house. He said, write me a good review on Google and remember him when this car was due for a set of tires and we are even. So here I am. Good guys at this location. They ll treat you right!!

So try to call one location on nicholasville road in Lexington KY and no one answered I called about 4 times this is on a Tuesday morning.I the call the Broadway location in Lexington. I give them all my information. They make me an appointment and "order my tires" they give me a price. I show up at the appointment andthe tires aren't here but they "have some other ones that are almost double the price. The guy I spoke with " the shop manger" isn't here neither are any techs. This maybe the worst bait and switch I have ever seen. Btw this is right before we are supposed to get winter weather that is pretty convenient isn't it.

Ken Towery is always great!! I go here for all of my oil changes since I just work a few buildings down. Jeffrey was extra helpful today and super nice as well. I rushed over to get my car due to the fact that they were closing soon and upon arriving Jeffrey was very calm and let me know there was no problem at all with me running a little behind. He made me feel very welcome and even worked out a great deal for me. I will continue going here for all my oil changes and other services needed! I highly recommend this location.

This Kenn towerys is the most helpful location I have ever been to. Drew and Afton especially went above and beyond on helping me with not only one vehicle but two. They made sure I was taken care of and we re extremely nice. Everything was done in such a timely manner as well. I 100% recommend this location.

They were excellent! Very nice and fast. This was the first time I had to take my car somewhere other than my hometown mechanic, and I was very nervous. They were incredibly kind, honest, and had me out of there with my patched tire in under forty-five minutes!

Had a mix up about a month ago with my tire and I just came back in to get it fixed and they were beyond awesome! Jeffrey, especially, was fantastic!! Cannot thank him enough for all his help. Overall great experience, got me in quickly and very personable customer service!

I bought 2 boat trailer tires and they offered me road hazard. I brought one back to be patched and they said they do not fix trailer tires. I ended up having to buy a new tire and they only took 25 off the new tire. Road hazard was 12.99 per tire.... The guy that helped me does not need to be in customer service. I always buy my tires there until now. In the past they use to take care of their customers.

My son purchased a mustang that had been setting a good while therefore, we took his car here to get a lot of things done such as new brakes, rotors, calipers, serpentine belt, thermostat, and new tires. I was not only very pleased of the final price, but I trusted in their techs to do things right and they did!

Had 2 tires shipped here from Tire Rack as my Yaris has an odd size and the other two were the same brand and size. Also got an oil change and alignment. I have been going to this location for many years, but has been awhile, as I moved out of town. Am back, They still had my info. I was delighted to have the friendly, honest and efficient service I always get there. I have always trusted them to do right by me and they have.

Afton at the front desk really takes the already solid service w/ affordable rates over the top. She really gets to know her regular clients and offers personalized care rarely seen this day n age. If shes not running the whole shop she should be.

Car broke down and took it here. They had my car for 5 days and every day they would tell. E that they expected it to be ready that day. Ok, I understand that people can run into issues, and that mechanics make mistakes, but I didn't appreciate that every problem they ran into they blamed on another mechanic. They ended up charging me for 2 parts they said they were not going to charge me for. Their work has held up thus far, which is good, so I cannot fault their work. I guess i am just a bit unhappy with the manager who would tell me the car would be ready several days in a row and then charge me for parts she said she wouldnt charge me for.

I've taken my cars here for tires and oil change and have had positive experiences. I'm always treated with kindness and respect. Today I took my '98 Rav 4 in because the hood would not open - broken latch. Dave and Joe took care of me quickly. Found the issue: a broken plastic piece that would have been very difficult to replace. So what did they do? Took the end of the metal rod, put it through the latch hole and bent the end of the rod - nice and secure. Works better than the original. All at no charge! Thank you kindly for your generosity and care!!

I was in a time crunch when I walked across campus from work to find a bolt stuck in my tire. The tire was quickly losing air pressure and I knew that I had to stop before I was going to be able to make it home. Thankfully, I made it to the Harrodsburg Road location before going totally flat. Jeffrey made sure I was put at ease and that my car was well taken care of; I m very happy with my experience and would recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.

ABSOLUTELY WOULD RECOMMEND, their prices are amazing compared to other chains, you get the homegrown mechanic feel but also the security and professionalism of a long standing company. A lot of friends recommended me here when I needed brakes and I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised, my brakes were done in a timely manner for a price that was amazingly low for all the services they completed.
