This place is more than awesome! Anytime I have an issue with my Mercedes or Volvo they are the only place I trust my cars with. they are straightforward and are more than happy to explain the problem with you. Bill and Lou are very hardworking and honest when it comes to fixing a vehicle, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my cars!

Bill and the team kept my Mini Cooper S going well over 100K miles, which was a hard thing to do with the carbon build up issue. I recently sold it. But They do everything from engine repair to oil change maintenance. Good team, trustworthy auto repair

Brought my Sprinter in with service light on. told them the glow plug light has been coming on at start up. they decided to do a service because of the light (the message on the dash completely different for oil change) and failed to do check the glow plug until after a phone conversation where they told me about performing a standard service (oil and filter) which wasn't due for another 5000 miles and charged me $400 which is $100 more than the dealer charges. ( the dealer does a better job and washes my van). Had a bill over $600 (they knocked off $100 would have been closer to $700) which should have been around $300.They are either incompetent or dishonest, my guess is a little of both.

In May 2019, I took my classic Mercedes 560SL to European Auto Livery. Before choosing them as my service center, I called about six or seven other repair shops. I chose European Auto Livery solely on the way that Bill Flynn (the manager) spoke with me over the phone. His enthusiasm and love for these German cars shone as clear as day through the way that he spoke with me. It is also for that reason that I did not choose any of the other service centers that I called. I am very happy that I decided to make use of EAL's services. They were efficient, highly knowledgeable, and went beyond what was expected of them. Throughout my engagement with them, they were transparent and honest. Never before have I met such honest and helpful mechanics before. As an amateur expert on the R/C107 series Mercedes, I knew immediately that they had the knowledge and expertise to deal with such a car. I was also completely aware that they were not trying to deceive me in any way. Despite their hourly rates being slightly expensive, I know that I am getting more than what is expected. It is worth the investment to have enthusiastic and experienced technicians work on your car! I will, for as long as I can, only use EAL as my repair specialists. I could not recommend them more highly!

I'm new to the area and unfortunately my van was in limp mode and I couldn't bring it to my regular auto shop in Louisville. Brought my Sprinter van here with check engine light on, and was charged $105 to be told they didn't have the right computer to get a proper diagnosis it and that I would need to bring it to the dealership and pay $150 for a proper diagnosis. I was trying to avoid bringing it to the dealer and support a local independent business.

I LOVE this place! Wow! I could not have had a better experience that what I had with European Auto Livery!!! Billy Flynn is the owner and I would trust him with my life after the amazing work and great deal he provided on my car. I was having transmission issues on my 2007 Lexus IS 250 and Billy was able to save me from having to purchase a new transmission by doing extensive work on my transmission for a very affordable priceb! He provided me with THE BEST quality service for a great value!! He even took pictures during the service to show me the process. Billy Flynn at European Auto Livery is hands down the best kept secret in Lexington for foreign cars!!! I will be returning consistently for service!

The mechanics at European Auto Livery have been our go to ever since we purchased our Volvo. They are always so professional and love educating you on how to help maintain your car so that it continues to run great in the future. What I have liked most about taking our car there is the open communication about anything that needs to be fixed. They will tell me upfront what measurers they will have to take to investigate and diagnose what the problem is. They have also been extremely honest- when they could not figure out what was happening to a wheel that was shaky when we drove over 60mph, they did everything that they could to help with the problem and then referred us to a special Volvo dealer to look into the horsepower. Needless to say, I have been very pleased with their service and will continue to take all of our vehicles there in the future.

I took my Volvo there a few months ago because it was going 20 mph. Spent over 500 dollars to fix the problem. I also had a problem with my ABS module and was given a quote by one of the guys. I decided to fix that problem another time.They seemed nice and I had no problems with them. Fast forward to now and my car started giving the same problem going at 20 mph so I decided to take it back so I could get it fixed. Left a message to find out if I can tow my car to them to get it fixed. Did not get a response I figured that s fine they are busy. Finally spoke to them and got my car to them. I waited a few days to hear from them. I needed someone to give me an idea of what s wrong with the car even though they were not going to fix it immediately. I felt like I was begging for a courtesy call. I finally got a call from Bill I believe and he proceeded to tell me he couldn t fix my car that I needed to take the car to Volvo. He mentioned nothing about why he thought the car was moving at 20 mph. He also told me couldn t fix the ABS module which they claimed they were going to do for me before whenever I was ready. I was trying to get my car towed to Volvo and he never called me back and even after the tow company showed up never called to say anything so I guess anyone could have stole my car from them.Took my car to Volvo turns out 3 things needed to be fixed to get my car running again. 1)The oil trap 2) fuelpressure sensor and electronicThroddle . Volvo said it had nothing to do with the ABS module. So my conclusion was European livery did not care enough to really look at my car. They did not want my business and was not honest enough to say. I felt like Bill was not nice when he spoke to me. I was planning to make them my go to for car repairs because they were nice the first time hence the reason for the 1 star. Very disappointed.

Buyer Beware. This company has deceptive practices. I paid $1500 to have a water leak, electrical problem and thermostat repaired. The car was returned 97 days later with the same water leak, electrical issues and an overheating thermostat. After all that time they never figured out what was wrong, let alone how to fix it.The day I agreed to the price, they drove the car to dealer for repairs without my notification or approval. The requested repairs (along with $99 fee for light bulb replacements) were "complete" within 9 days. After paying, I observed the electrical issue (the cluster would turn on after the key was remove, thus draining the battery) before I even left the lot and let Bill witness it too. He insisted I drive it, and it'll go away. I returned it in less than 24 hours.After 2 weeks I requested a loaner vehicle. However, over the 3 month period my car was used for joyriding, errands and dates. Nearly 200 miles were put on it. Note, the car did not need to be driven to observe the issue.They were simply experimenting with my car. They took liberties of servicing and replacing parts without notifying me. For instance, they replaced the battery, when there was nothing wrong with it. I know, because AAA tested it the day before I took it to them. However, they were sure to put the old one back in before I picked it up. They left the back all in disarray. I was told multiple times that there were no more leaks in the car, and yet, they placed a MILK JUG over the wires to protect them from the rain. Oy vey.I gave them every benefit of the doubt, because more than anything I just wanted the car fixed and in good working condition upon it's return. Unfortunately, it only amounted to a waste of time and money for the both of us.The videos capture my experiences in the days after I got it back.

Stay away from this location. I brought my BMW 325 in there on a Thursday for a service engine light. The mechanic told me that it needed a thermostat and solenoid relating to the emissions. He assured me these services were needed so I agreed to the $480.00 service fee. When I picked up my car the service engine light was still on and I also had a transmission indicator light that had never came on prior to taking it to this location. Mechanic stated that something could be wrong with the transmission because it was shifting hard. When he saw my disconcert he stated he could have inadvertently changed the settings in the system when trying to turn off the service engine light. The mechanic then cleared out the codes and reset the system. By that Sunday the service engine light was back on. When I contacted the mechanic regarding the issue with the service light, he immediately asked about the transmission. I explained that I hadn't brought my car in with transmission issues and it was only after leaving with him did those issues start. He stated to bring the car back and he would reinvestigate the issue, but I don't trust the service and will take my business elsewhere.

Want to avoid a nightmare that seems to never end? Then take your car somewhere else! We picked up the car today. It's been there since March. Still not fixed. We will have to take it somewhere else. It has over 175 additional miles on it. From "test driving" it. Bill says it wasn't for personal use but admitted to taking his wife out in it on a Friday night and into Saturday morning. When asked not to do that an documentation of work done on it he responded by text saying "you hateful me grateful" very childish and unprofessional! Very sorry to my sister who I suggested take her car there. They were recommended by someone I thought I could trust.
